Panini signed a new licensing deal with the WNBA, ensuring the manufacturer retains the rights to produce officially licensed WNBA trading cards. The agreement comes as Panini has already released several 2025 WNBA products, including Prizm WNBA Championship Collection, Select WNBA, One and One WNBA, and a Caitlin Clark Chronicled set. A Clark WNBA rookie card sold at auction for $660,000, a record for a WNBA card. The new deal also covers Diana Taurasi, who appears alongside Clark in at least one of the newly released Panini WNBA products.

Licensing continuity is the single biggest structural question hanging over any card category, and Panini just answered it for WNBA. Collectors who have been sitting on Clark rookies or building WNBA player collections now have confirmation that officially licensed Panini product will keep coming, which matters for long-term set-building and for the secondary market's confidence in the category. The $660,000 auction record already signals that institutional-level demand exists for Clark cards; a secured licensing pipeline means that demand has product to attach to. With Prizm, Select, One and One, and Chronicled all live in 2025, there is more WNBA product on the market right now than at any prior point in the hobby's history of covering the league.
