Hello everyone, and welcome to the Reason Effective podcast. I'm to Topps as I was doing by Erichowit Fossil. Glad to be here today. And I guess today I hopefully I should have the better voice because you are a little under the weather, I think. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh I was a little, I think under the weather last time as well. And we're recording this one a little early because of like schedule stuff. And so I'm still a little sick, unfortunately, but I may be in better shape than live or not. We'll see. Yu-Gi-Oh Pokemon DC Live is the topic we're talking about today, but not just general stuff. We're talking specifically about the new update, which honestly is the one. Something that they like, kind of Hyper up. They said there were big things, but it was kind of hidden within a letter. And then it's alongside the 30th celebration, or 30th celebration of the 30th anniversary for the Pokemon TCG and the set 30th celebration as well. Yu-Gi-Oh And honestly, there's some really interesting stuff here, some, I think unexpected stuff here and some, some mistakes here as well. Right. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, what. This is a letter that dated August 14, Letters to the community. And at the very end of the letter they said the 2027 championship season and more are fast approaching. Which is, which is true. And then the last sentence in the letter is, in the meantime, mark your calendars because on September 15th we launched one of our biggest updates yet. There was an update, although I don't actually don't know if live updated that day, but there's changes to live, but honestly not the biggest update that we've seen. I wouldn't say. And it is a bit problematic and it's weird is what, what, you know, we'll kind of dig, dig through it is what I'd say. Yu-Gi-Oh I think there are definitely some interesting things. Where, where do you want to start here? With, with, with things. Well, why don't we talk about the one thing that's in a letter which I think I'm in live and you are too. But, but they, they have, they've added mission bonuses, collecting cards. Mission bonuses. You good with starting with that? Yu-Gi-Oh Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh that's the card decks. Yes. Yu-Gi-Oh So. So they, they. This is again going back to the forums by. This is like a letter with a few images that they're now adding. As you build your collection, you get bonuses with. You get trainer points and trainer. I always forget what the things are called, but trainer credits and trade credits. Yu-Gi-Oh And they've classified them as easy and hard and. But different things. And the basic one is you complete the main set, you complete the master set. I think the main set is all the. The regular numbered right up. If it's. If it's, you know, at the number of like three of 197, then you get those first 197 cards, you've completed the main set. And then the alternate arts above that is the master set. You need one copy of each to collect those. So they've added bonuses. You get that under the card collection tab, under the card decks. And I. I don't think I have any that I haven't finished right now, so I can't show you that. But you go in and then it's got a button to kind of complete it and you get a bunch of resources, which is fine. But you know, we've talked about before, the. The economy in game. Economy is very generous in life, which is good. So we don't really need the bonus. And it really, you know, to me, it feels a lot like Beckett Right. This is. This is very much something that's in Beckett and they're bringing into Live. But it kind of makes sense in Beckett I feel like it doesn't make so much sense in Live. Yu-Gi-Oh And I actually, I just. I was one card short, so I crafted the card. Okay. And I'll click the reward and I guess, you know, some. Some trainer points, which is like, fine. I guess the rewards aren't Zebra interesting. I will mention, I believe for the. Oh, oh, no. Now there's this animation. Okay, there we go. That went away. The celebration has a bunch more missions which are like, kind of fun, right? Yes, I guess they're not like crazy fun, but they're kind of fun. But again, the economy, you don't like, need this. I think, though you have mentioned this, that you think collecting is like a cool. I mean, you know, collecting obviously is a big part of Pokemon, but also like with Live and playing games, like collecting, getting the cards is interesting. But you said you think you almost want it to be like, harder, right? Well, if. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, part of the game is getting the cards. There's a balance to be struck. I would say, honestly, in Live, it's very easy except for a brand new player. So it's almost the case of they should just give you access to all the cards in. In Live because you essentially have that, you know, if you're a new player the first month or two, you don't have access to new Cards. And honestly, the new players are probably the ones. You shouldn't make it harder for new players. So I think it's a bit backwards in that sense. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh I agree with that. But you know, I still stand by the fact that. And I think you agree with this as well, that the economy is good. Obviously. Generous. It is very generous. But also I think it is good. And to me that's the bigger reason why I think like, you know, I think because Pokemon issue. Life has issues compared to Pokemon Showline in some regards. Yu-Gi-Oh But I think the economy is really just so much better. But one-of-one so, Yu-Gi-Oh you know, I think these missions are like kind of fun. Again, as you were saying, like kind of like Beckett maybe a little gimmicky as well. But you know, they're fine enough. Certainly they're not something that's like Zebra huge though, right? Unlike how they're kind of hyping it up. Right? Yu-Gi-Oh I mean it doesn't need its own letter. Yu-Gi-Oh So. So like, right, for 30 celebration, they've added a bunch of these different additional missions. I don't know if they're keep doing that for new sets going forward or if this is. If it was just special to 30 celebration. I guess time will tell with that. Obviously resources are always good, they're always appreciated. It's just. It makes sense in Beckett right? This is something in Beckett and Beckett is it. You gotta. You pay is. Is pay to get cards to access things. The accessing your access is really restricted as a free to play per user. So therefore collecting, building the collection is something you actually have to work at. You either have to put a bunch of time in or you have to pay a bunch of money probably. I don't think you can get everything just by putting time. And you're going to have to put money in at some point. And it makes sense, right, because they are trying to make money with Beckett you know, just with Live. Because it. It's not. There's no. You don't pay for Live partly because it's by a different company, honestly. Right. It's Pokemon, the Pokemon company International rather than just the main Pokemon company. So probably there. There's a lot of rights issues and it's not available in Japan Live. So it gets a little weird. It just feels like it makes sense in life. It just feels weird. I mean the Beckett just feels weird in Live with this move. And it doesn't really enhance. I don't think it enhances the experience, unfortunately. So therefore I wish that they would work on these other issues that still need addressing. Yu-Gi-Oh And they did add some interesting things with this new update. I don't know, is there somewhere. Well, I don't know if you have more to say about this. I don't. No, I don't. What, What? Yu-Gi-Oh so what did they add with the new, this new update? Because, Because I didn't see a lot with it, I gotta say. Yu-Gi-Oh no, I mean, no, there wasn't that much. Right. There was because. And this isn't me like, like, you know, alluding to something that we didn't talk about before the, the. The podcast for prep. But Yu-Gi-Oh this is, you know, obviously, probably. So what Uncovered fossil. What's like the biggest thing people have been asking for Full expanded, right? Yes. And Yu-Gi-Oh what you say. So, Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, obviously the big thing was before it came out was a rank ladder. They gave us that and that's been fine. I think you're a bit down on it, but I don't think it's been a bad thing per se. People want full expanded. If you go in the forum, comments, you know, full expanded is what people want. The expanded form is pretty good. That's there. But you know, like I've said in the past, the fact that they don't. We don't full expanded because the programmers can't pull it, can't make it happen. That's a problem. It's not, it's not been an intelligent, intentional choice. It's just been, you know, it's just a sign of Fleer on lives part. Yes. Which is, which is pretty unfortunate. That being said, we've got some full expanded cards, right? Yes. How many? Eight, something like that, I think. Eight? Yu-Gi-Oh And the funny thing is is there's no, there's no announcement about these cards. So I, I don't, I'm not quite sure why it's been done so quietly. Yu-Gi-Oh I, I saw someone, like a video of someone being like, oh, I'm playing Ninja Break. I'm so excited to play this deck. I haven't played in so long and I like what to find the video again, I Goldin even find it, so that was kind of awkward. But anyways, Yu-Gi-Oh it's like definitely really interesting. So the reason this is the case is because their celebration, if you're not aware, has the Classic Collection. The Classic Collection. These are older cards, they're reprints. These Classic Collection cards themselves aren't actually craftable in live, but you could craft the older versions and then these, this means that now they decide to Implement them, which is, like, cool. Definitely not expected. Right, Right. So. So the new cards they've implemented, these are all cards in the 30th celebration, the classic cards. Is that correct or not? It's not exactly correct. So for the most part it is. But there are also cards that were. That go with those cards as well. So, like, they've implemented them for playability, which is, like, weird, especially because the card side aren't, like, very good. I mean, like, they all were good, but they're. So I'll quickly go over them. There is Greninja Break, which works. I don't know. I sent you a list. Did you play with it? Yes, I did play it. And Yu-Gi-Oh it works. Which. Which is my first time ever playing with a Break card. So. So that was nice. And when you play it in live, right, the. The Break cards are sideways, the printing, when you look at a regular card. But when. When you're playing a game with live, it actually rotates at 90 degrees, so you can actually read it. Which. Which is. I. I like that about it. But they kind of. They kind of mess with the size of it in the process too. But one-of-one Yu-Gi-Oh but I think. I think it works as well. Yu-Gi-Oh they could, like, not mess with the size, and that would have been understandable, but I think what they did was also understandable. Y. So anyways, Grinja Break, which is probably. It's not the best. It's the coolest. It's probably the second best. Maybe they added the supporter card and slide note, and it's like, Zebra hard to search in. In databases and stuff like that. And the, you know, deck editor, in terms of actual impact, it's essentially the same as one-of-one probably a little worse. But if you're playing glc, it's a big deal, I think. And then the other thing is that they added. I was gonna say. Oh, they did not add any. I said they added the cards to make the decks work. They didn't add, like, older Greninjas or Frogadirs or anything like that. They just added Mega Ninja Ex. Because, sorry, not Mega Ninja Ex, the Union Break, which is very similar to Mega Ninja Ex. And they also added. I was gonna say Mega Gard Ex alongside Gardevoir Ex. They added the Gardevoir Ex. I say Mega Gardevoir. It's the stage Mega, which is functionally similar to Stage one. And then they also added the Spirit link. Right. I believe you said. Yes, they've added. The trainers are harder to find because, by the way, we're talking about what XY and black and white. Those are the expansions that have been missing from Live. And they did say that they were going to start adding things in. I don't know if they said it. My assumption was at least that they were going to kind of work from newer to older. Probably would have less compatibility issues. But maybe this is. They could not check the box that they've been at, you know, working on expanded format. Hopefully that's not all of it, but one-of-one Yes, it is the Gardevoir spirit link, which I'm trying to look for here, which does help because when you evolve into a. A Mega, which I haven't played with Omega, so I gotta. I'm looking forward to trying out this Mega Gardevoir. When you evolve it, it ends your turn. But with the spirit link, your turn does not end with that item, which is now a tool. And not an item, I assume, Cracked Ice Yu-Gi-Oh it was a tool back then as well, but now it's just. Just a tool, not an item. Oh, let me ask you. Can I ask you a question on Greninja Break? No, I can't. Okay. Because you built a Greninja deck, which, which I. Which I copied your list of. I played it. And so the Greninja Break, it makes your Pokemon 170 HP Pokemon. Right. When you play it on top of correct. And it's still just one Prizm And. And therefore, if you're playing like the single Prizm Greninja, the HP increases. If you're playing like the Mega Greninja or just the Greninja Ex, the. The HP decreases and it also then goes to. From two or three prizes down to one Prizm Is that correct? You can only. Or at least I'm pretty sure you should. You can only play on top of Greninja the Single Pricer. Okay. Because. Right, because Greninja Ex is a different Greninja because it's got Ex the name. So it only goes on the single Prizm So it increases the HP slightly, gives you an ability. You still use the. Can use the attacks of the Greninja. Okay. Yu-Gi-Oh Attacks and. Or abilities. Yu-Gi-Oh Oh, you can use the abilities too. I wasn't clear about that the way. The way it was phrased. So. Okay. Which is a big deal. Maybe. Yu-Gi-Oh Okay. So that's. Honestly, like, Pokemon Break are pretty cool. They're a little, honestly, visually clunky is probably their biggest issue. Yu-Gi-Oh they're kind of cool. And then there's also. Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh so there's some other cards. There is. What does it say? There's a Rayquaza Ex. There is now, hang on. Just as we talk. So this is when they reprinted the. Or not reprinted when there was the Rayquaza vmax. Right. That. The idea was that was this. This Rayquaza was good. This old requisite Ex. When we say the requires of Ex. This is capital E, capital X, by the way. So. Yes, because, you know, adding to the confusion, obviously, of recycling things. But this is the same attack rate of the Mega Rayquaza, and therefore. I mean, the Megquaza Vmax. Sorry. And therefore people thought it would be good, but. But. But in that case, it was not good. But the old Rayquaza was good. Am I right about that? Yu-Gi-Oh the old one was a basic as well, so that was definitely useful. Honestly, the cards are, in practice, very different. Mega Requires actually has, like a draw ability. It's an evolution, as I said. And. Yu-Gi-Oh but Yu-Gi-Oh they added Rayquaza Ex there. And they added. Oh, also, Mega Gardevoir EX is like. Or. Sorry, no, it is Fairy, which is interesting. But we do have some Fairy Pokemon. Right. And then there's also the Genesect Ex. Yes, Genesect, which is interesting. And Genesect Ex is a Pokemon with the ability Red Signal. When you attach a plasma energy from a hand to it, then you gust. And at first I was like, well, this is useless. But no, then you pointed out that they added Plasma Energy as well, which I did not. I was not expecting, which doesn't actually, like, do anything, but it allows you to use jsxdx, so that's interesting. Yu-Gi-Oh So they added these cards, these like, eight cards or whatever, which is, again, like, just not expected at all, you know, for the most part. These cards aren't good, though. They're okay. They're not, like, terrible. Yu-Gi-Oh that's it. Right. I mean, Plasma Energy, which I wasn't familiar with what it did or I may have, but it provides a close energy of a special energy. So it's very limited in its value, honestly. Almost all. Most of the time you just rather have like a basic energy of any type because it avoids things. Is. Is what I'd say. But now, just to double check, Prizm Energy, it has been reprinted. Right. So that. That's not new to this. And then Rainbow Energy. Did that also around. Or is that. Is this a new addition? Standard? But Yu-Gi-Oh Rainbow Energy is. Is an expanded. Yu-Gi-Oh that was in sun and Moon. Okay. Because it was reprinted later on. Okay. That's why I Wasn't quite certain about that. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh There's a lot of like, as you're saying, it's pretty hard to search through for the Pokemon. It's Zebra easy to search through. Yu-Gi-Oh And sorry, I found them single or the. The basic card for ex. But anyways, I think these like cars are interesting. I don't. I mean they're not that interesting, but it's. It's really like surprising that they're added again. You mentioned that it could be because Pokemon said that they were going to add these cars and now they've done it. I wasn't even thinking about that again. That would be kind of annoying. But. Yu-Gi-Oh Well, it's weird that they didn't announce it. Right. So I, I guess it comes from these cards that were in 30th celebration is kind of the beginning point. They've to add some of these in. It's all a little weird though. You know, it's. It's. I would have expected like a big fanfare about this, honestly. And it's been silent. So maybe they have bigger plans to implement more in the near future and maybe, you know, when we get down to it, because this is. This was supposed to be a big update. It's just not been a big update. There's been bigger ones. So maybe they. Maybe they have some more expanded stuff and they were hoping to do that and they've been quiet because they don't quite have that ready. And it's better that they hold off than like launching like a whole bunch of expanded cards and having the game break. Yu-Gi-Oh I don't know if you'd agree with me with this, but I feel like the expanded cards are a bigger deal than the Collection thing. Yu-Gi-Oh At least for us, not necessarily for all the players. But I think it is a bigger deal as well because the collection. The Collection thing is like kind of fun. Yu-Gi-Oh I don't, I don't know if some. Any people are. Or many people play Live as a collecting thing. I certainly think with Beckett you could just use Beckett to collect and not really be playing the game. Is there idea behind it? You could do the same thing on Live, but. But the cards are so easy to get that I would wouldn't think if you're just strictly for collecting perspective, it wouldn't be very fun at the end day, you're like, oh, I have. I have all the cards and you get them too quickly to. To make it interesting in that sense. So I think Live really is a gameplay thing. Yes. The expanded cards Are a bigger deal for sure and I'm pleased to have it. And like I said I'm. It was fun to play with a break card and I'll probably play that deck a little more and then having the. The Mega Rayquaza. I haven't played a Mega before and haven't played many very tight Mega. Yu-Gi-Oh sorry. The Gardevoir. Thank you. And in, you know, haven't played fairy type Pokemon very often, so this is a chance to do that. So looking forward to that. So you know, fun, fun things that are in the game. Very glad they did it. And also was looking like in the live forums right before we started recording, I. I didn't notice any comments that. That have. That have people have noticed that. I guess you said you found it in a video. I only know about this because you told me and you said Dan can't even find the original video. So it's. It's just so underground. I'm glad we're bringing it out a little bit and hopefully it gets some traction and you know, if people get excited then Pokemon will put more energy and resources into, you know, getting expanded up and going. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh definitely. Yu-Gi-Oh I think again playing these cards is fun. It's not like a crazy awesome experience, but it's a fun time. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, you know, I obviously was instead of with new cards, but. And I think we'll talk about that a little bit as well or maybe a bunch. We'll see what we actually end up talking about here. Because again we are talking about the update, but it's not as much as maybe you would have hoped for. But you know, it is fun, right? It is like just a little bit fun. Yu-Gi-Oh So I have something to talk about first for a minute here if that's all right. No, no, it's past these cards. You want to see more of these cards. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean I just want to like you we talked about a little bit but like what are your thoughts on break again? You said this is your first time playing with the Pokemon break. Yes. So what I guess I'll quickly say what it does is. Yu-Gi-Oh go ahead, read it. So it has its ability giant watershed. Well, again it's going to break. It has 170 hp. It doesn't have weakness resistance to a tree cost. The stage is break. So again it's like it's only half a cardinally has half of the stats. That's so Pokemon break work. And this means that they then go on top of a Pokemon Greninja in this case. So it's an evolution from Greninja. It's essentially a stage three then. And this is a Pokemon that then has an ability. It gives you an ability to use with your Greninja. And that ability is giant Water Serpent. Once you turn it to the Active, you can just cut a basic water from your hand or Water Energy and then you get to put six damage crash on one of your opponents Pokemon. It's the same ability as Megamin GX ability in the Standard. And Yu-Gi-Oh that's, that's that it allows you to go ahead and you know, ping a little, which is like cool. But again, you still have the other stuff from the previous Greninja. There are actually only two Greninjas in Live Expanded which are not the ones that were played at the time. There is this one that there's like a water one that like is immune half the time and then there's this darkest one that is like knocks out random Pokemon. Well, it's not random. It's Pokemon with the least hp, but it's, it's, it's kind of random. Yu-Gi-Oh Making that, getting that set up is tricky to say the least. And with the type of deck you built, it wouldn't make sense. So the Greninja with you flip a coin to prevent damage and it's got a, an okay attack. Although I, when I played the deck, I, I had this in the Active some just, you know, mainly for the ability not to get knocked out. So I don't know if I ever attacked with that. I was trying to set up something else. Because you're also. This deck is playing the, the Fighting Greninja Ex and the Mega Greninja Ex. So a little Greninja box. So you're duplicating essentially that ability. Mega Greninja and the Greninja break both discard and energy and play six damage counters on one of your opponent's Pokemon. So it was fun. And I was up against United Wings and they have a bunch of 60 HP Pokemon. So it. I, Yu-Gi-Oh United Wings, is that right? Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh So. So that went very well when I played the deck. I'll say. Yu-Gi-Oh Honestly like. And there are cool things with Expanded. I will say I think I played against standard decks both times, which was a little disappointing. But Yu-Gi-Oh you know, I think like, you know, we're talking about expanding how expanded is cool and stuff. But also people don't play live expanded that much and I feel like they don't Take it that seriously, which isn't, you know, everyone like play the game how you want to play it. But it's a little. I don't know, I feel like I wish I could see slightly cooler decks. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, I think if they start to add more expanded cards, people that want to play expanded will start playing it more. I think there are some people that are probably holding. Avoiding it, kind of boycotting it. I just don't want to do it because they're too. You know, if you really want to play full expanded, you. You can be the spot where you're always frustrated by the cards you can't play, so you one-of-one enjoy it. So I think if they start to build out the card pool, it will start to grow. One thing I do want to say is when I built the expanded deck, tried it out, I found a matchup right away. We'll talk about the build and battle, I think briefly as well. When I do build a battle, matchups happen right away. And then when I try to do trainer trials, I don't find matchups. So it seems like, you know, based on interest level and number of users, they can seem to support expanded build and battle and standard. But, you know, having a fourth format of trainer trials just really has been. Seems like a non starter. Yu-Gi-Oh I. I do think I've like struggled some with finding matches in. In expanded some from time to time. I think in. In standard, I, you know, haven't had any issues. I don't really play casual standard, but. And then church, I get. I have had issues and build metal. I haven't had any issues. I will say building battle matchmaking isn't that important. The other formats, matchmaking is somewhat important, especially I think trade trials. Matchmaking also isn't that important in. Yu-Gi-Oh in standard it's important. Right. And expanded too. Right. And expanded. Honestly, if they. They could probably do. If they had a way to do it, which they do in Magic the Gathering arena, just I think where they kind of base it on deck quality. Right. For expanded deck quality would actually be probably a better matchmaker than player skill in some ways. Right. Because. Because you can have very widely differing decks, but it's kind of nice to be able to have, you know, stronger, weaker decks, but still hopefully get a competitive game. Yu-Gi-Oh And Yu-Gi-Oh I think that that would be useful. Obviously it's like kind of hard to do and I'm not expecting that, but Yu-Gi-Oh it would be cool. Right? Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, I think the matchmaking in the casual seems to be Strictly random. Might just be whoever is first person in, which isn't the worst thing for these things. Obviously they have ranked, which. Ranked mode, which then does have matchmaking based on skill level, which is still, I think, flawed at least. But, you know, it. It is better than nothing. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh And then I will mention with a trainer trial, this trainer trial is. It is the old format. Right. So when they introduce a new format that. Or when they, you know, the new set comes out and it's like it changes, then they have the trailer trial as the old format for the next like two weeks or whatever. This is for like tournament prep and stuff. I'm actually going to a tournament coming up soon, which I'm excited for. The. This is useful for me. I haven't actually done it, I'm not going to lie. But maybe I should. Maybe I will. We'll see. And then I, I mean, have you tried the new Twitter trial? I. I have not. So, I mean. Right. It's the old format. And also if you wanted to, you know, excited about Worlds having been completed recently and just wanted to try to be in that world's format, this would give you an opportunity to do that as well. Yu-Gi-Oh So it has like some cool stuff, I guess, but realistically, I feel like it's. I mean, it's not a new format. Right. It's like objectively not a new format. And I really, obviously, I wish it was. You know, I was really excited for Trader trials and I think they've been pretty disappointing. You were saying, like, people aren't really playing them too much, but there have been some really fun moments in Toyna Trials. I think Pokemon just hasn't really committed that hard and I'm nervous they're going to like, commit even less because they're not seeing results here, which I also do understand from them. Right. Like, if that's what happens, I understand it. But again, it is still disappointing there. And I feel like the fact that the current trainer trial is just a trainer trial, that is not, you know, anything new is pretty disappointing in my opinion, because this is an opportunity to have a trainer trial and have this interesting format. But it's just like, you know, you don't get like, interesting format, you just get more standard. Which standards, you know, fine standards, good or whatever. But like, they're standard. Right. Like, the standard is the most supportive format, which is cool, it makes sense. But also we don't need more support for it then. Right? Yu-Gi-Oh And, and, and I. One of the thing, the key motivations to hand Live, I think for, for Pokemon company is it's a way to prepare for IRL events. I think it has its own life more so than that. But I don't know that Pokemon really, they embrace it to some extent. It's always kind of weird. But obviously as a way to prepare for like IRL events. IRL events obviously are two week lags. So therefore it makes sense. This allows you to prepare for in person things. We've got, there's a regional coming up, it'll have maybe 2,000 people, I don't know, but somewhere around there and you'll have maybe some local events. I'm not sure what, what the schedule with, with that is, but you're going to have a small pool of players. So. So again you're going to have the issue with trainer trials. If you only have people wanting to do this trainer trial that are prepping for IRL events, you have, you know, a very, a small fraction of the whole live people. And also because the, the matchmaking is I think random. If you're looking to prep for an event, you want to play against good players. If you're a good player and if you're matching into random people, it's also not gonna be good prep. So I think their idea that this is a way to prep for our IRL events, unfortunately, I think it's kind of doomed from Fleer from the beginning. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh I definitely, you know, I agree with that. Also I do want to say if you are prepping for events while playing games just to get rid of people is useful, if you want to prep, like I guess serious prep, test out a lot of things then like simulators or you can like control things and play at different speeds and stuff can be really useful as well. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh There are better things for tournament prep out there on the Internet than live because live doesn't do that because you can't turn off the timer. I guess you can with friends matches. So you could do it with that. But it's, you know, there are other simulators that I think are just better if you're just looking as a training tool. Yu-Gi-Oh So I think that kind of stood with the disconnect as well. We've talked about that some already in this, this podcast, but it definitely feels a little weird there and you know, just a bit disappointing. Again with the trade trials, I feel like the trainer trials, I don't know if you'd agree with this, but I feel like it's the front with the most potential. Yu-Gi-Oh And what I, what I'VE seen from my experience is the more interesting the trainer trial is, the more, the harder it is to get matches. Because to me interesting means it's more different than just standard format, which means you have to take, be more creative with the deck building, which is what I like. But I think the more you're on your own for deck building, the fewer people want to do it. People want to be able to kind of cookie cutter, take a deck they already have and adopt, adapt it a little bit or net deck something as an option, which I get. But you know, the whole point of trainer trials to me is you have different requirements and you're forced to kind of think on your feet to come up with decks which you want to be able to do quickly too because you know, you don't want to spend a whole, you don't want to spend a day or two coming with something for like a, a one week trainer trial event. You know, you want to come to the deck with like in an hour start playing and maybe tweak a little bit. Yu-Gi-Oh And I think that's where build and battle has done a good job because you know, you can hop into games, you can hop into the format. It's like different every time, more or less. But also it's a format that is you do deck build but you're like guided through it. So it's cool. I've actually been, I've gotten a little tired of building battle. I mean the, the newest, there's been a lot of, you know, I really don't like Zebra impactful coin flips. Right. And there's been a bunch of those. Yu-Gi-Oh In some of the film battles. That's true. I, I, the funny thing is, well, the build and battle also this whole currency thing, it, Excuse me. They added a third currency, right. They got rid of a third currency. They added a third currency back in for building battle. I guess the currency makes sense in that you're getting cards from, from this as well. So you, you get a decent amount of cards. So it makes sense that they don't want you just to be able to just do unlimited building battles because, you know, because they're trying to control things. That sense makes sense. A couple things. One, I do think it's kind of fun. I, I am most of the time going with, I don't, I'm finding I can't make many changes very often because you don't pull a lot of useful cards. That, that's, but that's all the nature of building battle. What they did do this time with Build and Battle. You getting a free token every day. Now, I don't know if I'll do all these because it takes a bunch of time, you know, it takes an hour plus to. To complete it, which I, you know, at some point, I want to do standard with other things as well. But honestly, even just the cards go in, spend the token each day, and then quit if you want to, because you're gonna get. You get what, four packs plus whatever is in your kit. So you just want to build your collection. You know, you will do get stuff that way, so that's fine. They gave the new cards there. There was. I don't know. I had something else to say, and I forgot what it is right now. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, when you say new cards, it's not from the new set. I mean, they're signing a prelude from the new set. They aren't giving pre releases as far as I'm aware. Or at least so far, they haven't done it for the new set. Well, they've done it for the new set once the set comes out. It would be kind of cool if you could do it, you know, before the set comes out to like, hype it up even more. But I understand what they're doing as well. If they made it like these live pre releases were occurring the same time as the IRL pre releases. Right. Is what you're getting at. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh That would be fun. And, you know, it would be a thing if they ever were going to monetize. I could see them doing that as like a special thing. You want early access and live, that wouldn't be like a terrible way to monetize things. Right. You could just be patient, wait, wait a week or two and get it. But then if they, you know, you want to get the new. The newest stuff right away, you know, you pay a couple bucks and, you know, and they would. Then they would. People would do it, I think. You know, like I said, there's legal issues, I think, between also stopping monetization. But Yu-Gi-Oh early access would be fun. That. That is part of the fun of the build and battle. There's a social aspect which you can't replicate that online because you're at separate locations. But part of it is you are playing the new cards before anyone else gets to do them. And they certainly could do that in live, and that would be fun. Yu-Gi-Oh So, you know, we'll see what they decide to do with that. I think buildmouth is in a fine enough spot, but I think it will start to, you know, reduce as time goes on, unfortunately as well. So we'll see if they're able to continue with that Again. I do want to see more for the trainer trials, but we'll see if that happens. Yu-Gi-Oh In some sense. Two things. First, I, I think that the Build and Battle has become the permanent trainer trial format in a certain sense. Right. There's certain similarities. They're different too. But I think in some sense it's replaced it and then long term, yes, I think it will start to. To slow down. There are people doing it, although it's been going out a bit now and it's seeing good numbers. I'm pleased for that. But if and when they start implementing Expanded in a more robust fashion, then I think Build and Battle will drop. Particularly if they get to the point of putting a ranked mode for expanded. Right. That'll get people. One of the things, if they wanted to do trainer trials. I've said this before, I think they should have some rewards that you get only through the trainer trials. Then, then people would. Would do it. Right. If they had a separate reward system for trainer trials. You know, you get some other special arts or something like that. People would, you know, it would draw in more people, which would be nice. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh that'd be cool. Which is again, kind of something that we see with the missions. Well, I know it's something we see the missions, right. But we don't see them doing something Zebra special. But I think, you know, if they did that, that's what would be good for the mess. The. The missions. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh So Yu-Gi-Oh I don't know the future of the trainer trials. Right. At this point. Build them. Battle certainly has been popular. Pleased for that. And you know, expanded is. Has snuck up with a few new cards. Will they do it again or was this just because of the 30th celebration thing? Don't know there, but you know, so we'll see. And then you want to. And they also added with this new update, they did add some learning lab. Do you want to talk about that a bit? Because you did it. I. I have not done the new learning lab. Yu-Gi-Oh Actually haven't done all of them, but I suppose I'll go through the last one now. Oh. So side note, they. So you know, the acceleration. The. The top new card is generally considered to be uex. UX is okay, I guess. I played with some. It's fun, I suppose, but it's. I don't know if it's like good, but anyways, so they were supposed to give out a free deck. I didn't get it. You didn't get it? No. I don't know. Right. Correct. I don't know if anyone else got it or didn't get it or what's going on there. Yu-Gi-Oh I own our decks. The same size in this learning lab, but only 59 cards. All right, so, so let me talk about that. Right. So there's supposed to be a MUX deck that was a MUEX deck feet built with you. You sent me the link here. What was it? Oh, Steven Stevens. Which is nice. So, and the, the list is online so you can build it yourself. But I, I know from the comments at times people don't always get the free decks and like when they did the new decks at the start of the, the Pokemon season, the year season however define it. I, I, I got I think five of the eight decks. I think I missed out on three of them again. That's where fortunately the economy is generous. So I, you know, in a tight economy it would be pretty crushing not to get those cards. And then the other thing, which, which hat, which is a bug I think we both have and I don't, you know, you can let us know in the comments if it applies to you too. The rank ladder did not reset. So I still have the same points as before and I'm looking at it now. It says it ends in dash dash weeks and dash dash days. So the, the ladder just didn't work. Right. So that some of the ladder never reset. Maybe it will. Yu-Gi-Oh Like it seems like it wanted to reset but it, like it failed. Yes. And you do get some rewards when it resets. So and, and from having played it. So I, I guess they'll fix that. But again, I didn't see comments about that in the bug section either. You can let us know in the comments to these videos if you did, did you, did you or did you not get the MUE X deck and did the battle pass reset for you like it's supposed to. It didn't. I mean not the battle pass did reset for us, but the rank ladder did not reset. So let us know about that in the comments. Yu-Gi-Oh also I'm playing against the, the like computer now and I forgot like how bad the computer was. So. Yu-Gi-Oh that's fun, I guess. Yu-Gi-Oh To their hoo hoots. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean we've seen again from Beckett that you can have an Yu-Gi-Oh that it's not the best Yu-Gi-Oh in Beckett but it's definitely better than what there is in live. In terms though, comparing to Pokemon TCG Online, which live gets compared to the Yu-Gi-Oh so to speak, wasn't any good in. In. In the previous version either. So we haven't certainly lost anything. It might even be better than that. I. I don't know. I mean in. In Pokemon TCG Online and you kind of had to do these things to get rewards in the economy early on, you could just kind of sit there and pass turn after turn and the. In. The computer would just lose. Lose the game on its own. Yu-Gi-Oh it was, it was. It was pretty bad. It was honestly difficult. Like, I don't know if it would have been possible for you to lose in some of those situations. There were like random situations where you just get like obliterated as well, which is kind of funny. But this part, it would, it would be. It'd be pretty rough for you arms. Not. Not pretty rough. It would be pretty rough for them. So. Yu-Gi-Oh honestly, like, I think that the learning lab is kind of useless. Right. Like, I don't know. I mean, maybe some people are getting stuff out of it, but I'm not getting stuff out of it. I know that. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean if you know how to play the game, it doesn't really do anything for you for it. It is more if you're a new player, haven't played before. I guess it may have value. I. I don't know if that if it really does or not. Again, because you get good card access, you're not playing any. There's no cost to play the games as a new player. You just get. Take a free deck and just start playing. And you'll figure stuff out too, for the most part. So, you know, I was pleased like they had the lesson on special conditions because that's always something confusing. I can't imagine as you've. You're. As you're going through like the teaching you how to play the new Mu Ex deck. I can't imagine you're really learning anything there. Like I did. I was looking at this before I did like the Mega Zygarde Ex when that. I think that was the first of these deck specific ones. And I did it. I don't think I got anything out of it. And the. In the. And the learning lab at times forces you to make moves that aren't the best move too, which is. Which is a frustration to me. If you're teaching people how to play the game. Yes. It might not be the main point you're trying to make, but still have them make the Best play possible at the time rather than just something random or something suboptimal. Yu-Gi-Oh And there have been glitches as well within the learning lab, which is like. That's not good. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean it's. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, look, all in all, it's. It's okay. I think it's relatively Panini probably, but it doesn't, you know, it doesn't add a lot, but, you know, it is. You know, this was something people were asking for a way to kind of have some more tutorial in the game. So they did check that box. So again, I think it's fine if there has been an issue. I don't know if it still happens for some accounts that like at the initial tutorial you. There would be a glitch and you could never finish it. And then I think you could like it would cause trouble, I think like indefinitely. I think you would have like a challenge. One of. And that was back in the days you only had two challenges. So one of the challenge was like locked on something from the initial tutorial and you just Goldin get rid of it, which was, you know, so then you only had half. One. One mission each day rather than two. So that was a pretty rough situation. Yu-Gi-Oh it was. That was like, you know, an issue. Again, they've had just weird bugs with all sorts of like, you know, different things. Right. So that's unfortunate. Anyways, I beat the computer. Oh, side note, whenever. Sometimes I like switch tabs. Also it like looks like I didn't get the deck. I was wondering if I get the deck by beating it. Which didn't seem likely, but I figured it was worth it. Okay. Shot. And then let's just say. Oh Yu-Gi-Oh So like the like terms and conditions, like flash every time I like switch tabs or not every time I switch tabs, but like sometimes I switch menus and stuff like that. And also the game's kind of slow right now, which is unfortunate, but whatever. Yu-Gi-Oh that seems kind of weird. We're recording it, which should be an office time, I would think too. So the server shouldn't be getting too. Too shouldn't be getting overloaded, but you know, is what it is. And again, I'll say with Beckett they. They have some of these different missions. I haven't done Beckett a bit. I don't know that you have either. But you had certain missions when sets released that weren't always the most interesting things, but be. But they did get you cards and you know, getting cards was out collecting was, you know, was was definitely a task that you needed to work at. So it had some value within Beckett within Live. Again, you know you're not learning anything from the learning lab with these different missions. And I don't. I think they said you're going to get rewards from it, but I don't think you didn't get a reward right when you finished this. Mu Mu X. I don't see it. Certainly if I got something I. I missed it. Okay. I would assume it should tell you. So I think we're not getting that. But again, it's nothing to go crazy over because you know, I honestly at this point, my, my. The amount of resources I have is just absurd in the game, I gotta say. And I somehow when because of my card collection, I think I Beckett up like under trainer points. I Beckett up at least 50,000 trainer points like, like the first day that they started having these as you built your built based on my collection size. So it's pretty absurd there. Oh, speaking of the. I want to say this in terms of the build and battle. You need these tokens and it used to have you could get tokens in the shop. I can't find the tokens anymore because they were at the top of the shop. So we could have an issue for accessibility. It was at 99 and you could buy them one at a time and that it would reset to 99 every so often. It does have a 30th celebration welcome bundle that has three tokens in it. So I might do that because I do want to get the tokens but I think that's the only place I can see to buy tokens now. So the access to the build and battle may have just gotten tougher without any announcement. Yu-Gi-Oh I don't see it. I don't know. It's like weird. I guess I'll buy the three. Three celebrations things now. Yes. Okay. Yu-Gi-Oh I'll do it too while we're doing this. So. And Yu-Gi-Oh so. Because right now this is the only way to get tokens now where they're giving us a free token each day and if you get three wins you do get another token. So if you're worried about tokens right now, if you want like building battle and you had a tough time with tokens. Do take advantage of it now by playing every day and working on getting more tokens. Right. It is a good way to build up that token collection because it seems like access to buying it has gotten tougher. Yu-Gi-Oh Which just seems like weird again like they're doing these Things without announcing them, which it's not like they're not announcing anything. Like they announced so many things, but I don't know, it feels like they don't announce the important stuff. They just announce random stuff. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh I would agree. They do announce certain things. They. It's something that's been a disconnect from the start, alive. Like the marketing people and the development team didn't really seem in sync. And obviously there's the question of also, who are. Where are like the players involved? Because I imagine I don't know if the marketing people are players. I don't know if the developing, the programmers are players. So I don't know how the playing community fits in with. With both the developers and the marketing team. Right. You really want all those things in sync and that Live just hasn't gotten that going. Yu-Gi-Oh you know, it's not. It's not been completely terrible. Right. But it's definitely been having some issues. Right? Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, look, Live at times has been terrible. It's not terrible now, certainly. It's. I guess if you had to have a debate of is Live better than Pokemon TCG Online was. It's. To me, it's pretty close between the two. There's a few more glitches here. Pokemon TCG Online, though, was really tough to get cards, so therefore, with card accessibility, I can play the new decks, whatever deck I want. So it probably. I would probably take Live over Pokemon TCG Online, but not by much. Yu-Gi-Oh it's not. It's not clear. But again, it isn't clear. I think, you know, some people are like, Yu-Gi-Oh putting on digital Online is like so much better. I think that was true, but I think there's this misconception that that's still true and it's not. Live has come a long way. Right? It's. It's come a long way. And for the most part, it also works for what people need it to do. It does. It's just at this point, there shouldn't be any question. We should. We should be confident in saying Live is better than Pokemon TCG Online and we wouldn't want to go back. And I can still see where someone would, you know, would want to go back. And it's not. It's, you know, it's a close call, which is shows, you know, it's just. It's a bad sign that Live hasn't really, you know, hasn't got. It really hasn't become all that it could be, unfortunately. So it is kind of this what is live? It's a tool to train, to prep for events. I think in Pokemon view, you know, it's never gonna. At this point there was questions. Would there be a way to say to earn points for Worlds, which obviously it's not available everywhere, but each but different regions have different qualification standards. So you could have it as part of regions that can play, have access to live. It could be part of it too. So they could do that. But it doesn't seem like that's going to be a thing. So it's in kind of this what's the point alive. And you know, it's always been a question. It seems like that question still goes on today. Today. Yu-Gi-Oh I guess we, we don't know. We are talking about the celebration, so we can talk about the set as well. Yes. Speaking of things that are, you know, a little disappointing, I think. Right. So what have you played from this set? I've. I haven't done much. I first I did build in Battle first, which, which does take a good chunk of time. We are having to record early because of life events. But also, but, but the other hand, 30 celebration came out early, so therefore we've been able to play with it. So I, I've played, you know, the, the, the Greninja Break, but that actually doesn't play any of the new cards, I don't think. Right. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, Yu-Gi-Oh it doesn't play cards from 30th celebration. Well, it plays, you know, the, the break card. It doesn't play well. It replaced the cards from the 30th. The, the classic collection. Right. It doesn't in the. And there is a new a, A Greninja in the set. But the third Celebration is a standard one. But that's not, that's not in the list that I got from you. So. And then, and then I was putting together an Iglybuff deck, I will say, which I have to finish working on. Maybe I'll do that while we're doing what we're talking about stuff. So Igglybuff, which I had said wasn't very good in our last podcast, it's still. I don't expect good things from. It does 30 damage for each bench Pokemon with a maximum HP of 30. I, I think it's going to go badly, but it got Badoo and I stuck in some, some, some Ethan's Pichu and then I, and then as my tech, I have slapped in a Mu Ex, which is the best card in the set and actually because it copies attacks from the bench and, and Igglybuff's attack is only benched Pokemon 30 GP or less. The MUE X the active doesn't hurt you so you know just a way to kind of change the math. It's some point in the game so as well as hit for a different weakness potentially. Yu-Gi-Oh So that, that's kind of fun. BBX isn't that tanky. It's pretty not tanky compared to what everything else is. 30 hp it's tanky. I played a psychic box deck like kind of like the classic B U deck which was a Taku Mara deck. I played a psychic U box which was fun and I, I played some different U box side decks and they're cool. They're not Zebra good. Ultimately UEX just isn't that good. Right. Yu-Gi-Oh Because the hp right. Probably is your big problem. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean because of the HP it's still. It's like a two prizer that gives up. It's a two prizer that's like Zebra weak and it doesn't really have that much upside. So it's just not very good. No, I mean it's, it's fun potentially. Right. It lets you do some things but you need the energy. So it's probably something that goes in a non psychic deck if you want to hit for psychic weakness. But you know at this point then if you're worried about that you're also probably playing Lewis Clefairy because of Dragapult and therefore you don't need the muex. Yu-Gi-Oh Well you. If you can't tackle those fairy. Yes. Then it could be useful but it's not like that hard to attack with it. And you actually also isn't a very good attacker you to get it powered up. But there are definitely Pokemon that you or there are Pokemon you want to copy that. You can't power UEX because it could be type specific to power it up. But also it just, you know, it's another piece you need on your bench and like to get into play and stuff like that too. Which is meaningful. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh I don't, you know when we talked about before, MUE X is the best card in the set. It also seems questionable of how impactful it's going to be. You know, I, I, it will see some play IRL and stuff. I would assume just because it's too, you know, it's a nice little option there but I think it is going to be limited to what you know, what you can get out of It. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh I've seen some people chuck it in like my Excadrill. I saw someone put in like B drill Ex. I saw some people playing like Dragon Pole, the most annoying use case I've seen of it. Or like best use case which is annoying to play against is putting it in Dragapult or some deck with Badew and then it's like kind of cool. I guess it's like okay. But also again, generally you could just attack with that Pokemon as well and it's usually not that much worse. Oh Yu-Gi-Oh I mean that's true. You want to attack with Beidou and then you're not getting knocked out the next turn probably at least hope. Well now you probably are. Right. Because it depends. You might. You're less likely to get knocked out than would do is to get knocked out. Right. So you know, if you survive two. Two turns with it, then it could have some upside. But Yu-Gi-Oh like I said, like, I mean I have it again for you know, in the Iglybuff deck with a. To power up to work with a 30 HP Pokemon as well. Iglibuff or. Or Badoo. But for, you know, the goal of that is you want the Mew late late game because it's a lot. It's tanky compared to the 30 HP Pokemon. But you don't usually, you know, you're not going to want it early. I wouldn't think. I. You know, there may. I don't know if there's an attack that really wants the, you know, mu mu. Honestly with what. What it does that is really going to help things. I. I don't know what a great use case for it is at the moment. Yu-Gi-Oh I think, you know, using it in some type of flow stack is fun because then you have Yu-Gi-Oh actually just a bunch of different attacking options which is. I obviously made a video on that actually at the time of recording this. It's not out yet. But you know, it's definitely. It's fun but like I'm like looking at this deck and I play like a Mega Fleer ex. I'm like now I just have this other liability on my bench as well. It's like Zebra rough and I'm running like, you know I have like supercharged uex and Megaflor EX. So I got like a 30hp single prizer. I've got a two prizer that has 160hp and a three prizer with 250hp. Like what am I doing here? You're just asking to be Knocked out, aren't you? Yu-Gi-Oh it's like all my Pokemon are liabilities. So I guess if all of them are liabilities, then none of them are liabilities. Right? That's right. You don't know which one's worse, so. No, but the Megaflo, this is the one that has the what, the tool or the stadium to bump exp. Right. Yes. I'm thinking it was the Prizm Tower. Okay. That's the stadium. You can only play if you have another stadium and play first and you bump it. Yu-Gi-Oh And you can play both on the same turn, so. Right. It's like, funny. Like Prison Tower is actually a good card and then the other stadium, like, isn't, isn't good, so. Well, I had to guess. I mean, having 100 extra HP is good, I guess, but also its HP is like very low as well to start with. Yu-Gi-Oh no, it's right. Yu-Gi-Oh it's tricky. So. Yu-Gi-Oh it's not great. I was thinking there is a Pokemon, a tool, right, That, I guess it's one of the trainers. Pokemon that like gives it really big hp, but I can't remember what it is right now. Maybe Zenith Yu-Gi-Oh it's a Zenith something. Right. Power Weight. Okay, but this is, this is not, does not give you that sort of HP. So. What doesn't? Oh, UEX. Yu-Gi-Oh Mega fluid. The same. Gives you 100 HP, which is actually more than the tool does. But like, I guess your total HP isn't more. Yu-Gi-Oh the, the Pokemon you're you're starting from, though, is, is lesser, so. But, you know, hopefully your attacks kind of make up for the weak softness of the Pokemon. Although I suspect with that deck you built, I, I, I, I, I wouldn't expect big things if I was you. But, you know, host brings eternal. Yu-Gi-Oh I got, Yu-Gi-Oh two different deoxys. I got, I got just a bunch of weird. I got the new unknown as well. The new Unknown is kind of fun. What it does is it allows you to take an extra Prizm if you knock out a Pokemon with 40 HP, or it does 40, if you take a knockout, you take an extra price. So that's like, cool. I used that in the game. It was cool. I lost, but I used it. You felt good, though, right, about using the get. Using the attack and get the extra Prizm I don't know. I don't, I don't feel that good. I played the unknown and then my opponent, like, played down a 40 HP Pokemon or 30 G Pokemon that they probably shouldn't have played one-of-one so. I didn't even feel that good about it. Okay. And then I also still lost. So that also felt bad. Like, it felt bad all around. I'm not gonna lie. Now, if you attack, if Mew Copy Ex copies the unknown, you still get the extra Prizm right? Because it's part of the attack. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Oh, one thing that is interesting, I was just looking around and saw this and I thought, like, oh, this is kind of cool, is you can use Mu Ex to copy attacks that the Pokemon have a bad ability that like stops you from attacking. Like, for example, Slacking Exit. So that's like fun. Realistically, it's not that good, but it is kind of cool. So maybe I'll try it with like Ultracurism and Expanded or something like that. I don't know. Did you play, ever play Ultracurism and Expanded or not? No, I did not. I. I was a mad party person and Ultimate Croza was something I did not like to see. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Ultra Crispa was to me like the quintessential expanded deck. In my mind. It just, you know, did like lock it. It played like good trainers and stuff. It was cool. I didn't play it either. I, I again also played my party like you. But. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, I think it's, you know, you can do some fun things. You can do a lot of fun things, but most of the things aren't Zebra good. They're mostly just fun. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, Yu-Gi-Oh I, I would say so. You know, mue x. It's fun that we have it around. You know, I, I don't know that there's any big use case that's going to come up. You know, we'll keep an Yu-Gi-Oh out on what people do and obviously think about it ourselves too. I, you know, toolbox style things I do. Like, I have used some of these Copy. You know, Pokemon can copy attacks. They do have value at times. This the way this card is with stats only copying for the bench. I don't think it's going to be great though, unfortunately. Yu-Gi-Oh if it was your discard, then it would be really interesting and very good as well. But it's not. And then there's also. I'm just gonna say the other decks I played. You mentioned Igloobuff. I play that a little as well. There's also Mousehold, which is like this male decket I played. It was so bad. But Yu-Gi-Oh a mousehold. So you flip a coin for each mousehold you have in play. So Yu-Gi-Oh you mill two for each has you can reflip with the tool. So that's the thing. Okay. So you can get above that average of four potentially. That's Yu-Gi-Oh Because four has, you know, at times is do. Is kind of the number you can kind of get to reasonably I would say like going back to say Durant Mill thinking about like that and. But honestly with four you would usually be a game loss. So you got to get above 4. 4 I think to put enough pressure on to have a decent chance of winning. Probably. Yu-Gi-Oh With you know, Durant, the, the metal Durant was a legitimate deck, I. I suppose. But realistically like with mill, you. You to apply pressure to your opponents resources in some other way for it to be useful. And on top of that you also need to probably have them misplay as well. I'd say like overextend or get lucky. You can just get lucky. You could hit like certain cards and then they kind of just lose potentially. But realistically it's. It's pretty rough. I mean Durant Mill you could set up get going pretty quickly and with 06 machinations. Right. I know you don't love that card, but in a mill deck, this was the. The grass one. Yu-Gi-Oh the grass one. Yu-Gi-Oh You could, you know, the one strategy against mill would be just to keep a big set of cards in hand, then play judge or something. Something to just recycle it, you know, as. As the game wears on. So. But that's so obviously. But with a 06 or two also that takes that strategy away. So. Or you know, or hand tremor hand trimmer as well. It shrinks your own hand as well. So sometimes that's not as good depending you're doing. But you know, probably for a deck like this, a mill deck, that's probably fine as well. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh The better card hand trimmers is better than 06. It can be. And if you play any of the Pikachu's. Right. We have 30 different Pikachu's, correct? Oh Yu-Gi-Oh there's. Oh, so the next trainer trust is Pikachu's. What is it again? It's pulled it up on a separate tab. Yu-Gi-Oh you can have more than four. Okay, good. Yu-Gi-Oh And then. So it's a 60 card deck. So you can play 30 Pikachu's then. Is that correct? One of each? No, it's a 30 price deck. So you could play. Oh man, they should be 60 because they should let you play all. I mean I guess you can play all 30 Pikachu's, but then you can't attack Ever. Yes, I know. It says the maximum number of Pikachu or base energy can exceed 4. I assume it means like both. Right. But what it says is one can exceed four. Four. Okay. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh I wish they could let you. They should have let us play third. All. All. All 30 Pikachu in a deck that. That would have been. You know, that just seems like the right thing to do. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh This. This seems like funny. I don't. You know, ultimately, I mean they did the. The last trial had 30 card decks. It was kind of fun. I guess it wasn't that fun to be honest. It was like interesting that they did it. But I'm really excited that they're messing with deck building rules more with it. I still would like to see them potentially mess with game rules, but I understand why they're not doing that. That being given that that LIVE already has some issues and as you change rules, we know we have issues, you know, back, you know, we've talked about before. So I one-of-one do it now. But like when they did the trick or treat which changed the deck construction rules, it caused unexpected problems and the more things they change, the more issues were I think we'd have. Yu-Gi-Oh But you know, I'm definitely interested in seeing what they're going to do with LIVE in the future. I think we've seen some interesting developments. I don't think they're the greatest developments, but they could definitely be worse as well. So I'm, you know, I'm intrigued. Yu-Gi-Oh no Live. Look. Live. They're making progress with Live. And that's good. You know, the biggest thing with these changes was these what, nine new, I think expanded cards that. That all center in the game now that they've quiet about. So, you know, I. Will this ever. Will this start to generate some buzz? Will this start. Will they start to add more expanded cards? That. That to me is the biggest wait and see on it for myself that I'm excited about. Like I said, I. I do want to play like Mega Gardevoir because I haven't played that yet, so. So that'll be a fun thing. I don't know. That'll be great to do but you know at the end of the day how the games will go. But. But fun to just have that as an option. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh I'm looking forward to, you know, messing with some of these. I guess again, they're not Zebra good or interesting in practice, but cool.
