Back it again for a brand new week and finally my co host is with me this time. Yeah, I explained last year several things came up. So yeah, I mean things happen. But today we're going to be looking at the top 10 lost origin cards which as I was doing this list I kind of had a I don't know how you would describe it, what if kind of moment. Or maybe I should do this kind of moment. So when you look at the price for each set, you. I use TCG Player as my reference point. So when you do that, for instance, if you punch in Lost Origin, it's going to give you Lost Origin or the Trainer Gallery subset. Yeah. They classify them as two different sets. So there have been other sets that we've done where they have a subset. You know, Trainer Gallery or whatever. Radiance, I think at one point. So I'm wondering if next week we should do Lost Origin, Trainer Gallery, or just keep moving along throughout the set. Trainer Galleries are pretty interesting, though, so I'm up for either or. Yeah, I mean, and I even thought about, okay, let's take the top 10 cards from, say, Lost Origins and the top 10 cards from the Lost Origin Trainer Gallery and just kind of merge them together and go, okay, you know, the first card is worth X amount from Lost Origin. The first card is worth X amount from the Trainer Gallery. Which card would be technically number one? The one from Lost Origin or the one from Trainer Gallery? Which one would be number two? And just kind of shuffled the two together. Yeah, I thought about doing that, but I thought that might get confusing at some point. So if you want, we could just do the Trainer Galleries next time. Yeah. I'm actually personally, Personally, it's ironic you brought this up because I'm personally thinking I have a lot of Trainer galleries and character illustrators, and I'm gonna make one big binder of all of them at some point. Okay. Each set that has a Trainer Gallery or like a subset, pretty much like any of the cards that's a character illustrator or a gallery, a Trainer Gallery. I'm basically. Whatever ones I own, I'm gonna put them probably in order of oldest to newest or newest to oldest in a binder together, sleeve them all, put them in the binder, and then just, you know, I mean, just have them all so I can look at them. That'd be kind of cool to have a binder of those. Yeah, I just was writing myself a little reminder on my. Have a little, like, glass whiteboard type of thing for my desk. So I just had to write myself a little reminder for next week to do the Lost Origin Trainer Gallery because. Yeah, because I think it's a good idea. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, why not? Right? But let's get into the top 10 lost origin cards. This one we're picking back up in price last week, I believe, like, for all 10 cards. It's like something like 500 or something goofy there. 300. Yep. This one we're pushing into the thousands again. Damn. All because of one card. Because. Well, the top two cards are relatively pricey. And then after that, it takes a substantial nosedive. Number one, of course, is going to be Giratina V the Alt Art, of course, at a whopping $816.71. Yeah, that's your big winner right there. Number two takes a substantial drop as Aerodactyl v the altar at $199.66. Wow. I'm surprised that even went up 100. Yeah. Because, I mean, it wasn't even really that sought after. I mean, it was kind of a chase card, but not really. Yeah, not as much as the first one. Yeah. Now, from there, it takes a massive plummet. Number three is ROM V the ultimate art at $29.70. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. Like, well. Well over a hundred dollar drop. That's CRE in its rotom, which is really random. Yeah, random. Now, Giratina v star number 201 in the set is. Number four is a secret rare at $27.15, followed by Galarian Berserker V alt art at $19.23. We see Giratina Vstar again, but this time number 212 in the set, the secret rare as well, at $17.84, followed by just standard Giratina V at $15.93. Yeah. Aerodactyl V star the secret rare is number eight at $13.94. Number nine is Kyram Vmax the secret rare at $9.05. Wow. And finally, number 10 is. Is Hisuian Gudra Visar secret rare at $7.77, for a grand total of $1,156.98. Wow. Yeah, that's. That's. Oh. If you were to take Giratina V Altar out, it would be another 300. Yeah, maybe. Maybe four. No, $300, probably. That's it. Yeah. Because number 11 would be less than $7. So you'd be looking at like 300 for the top 10 cards if Giratina V wasn't there. That's insane. Yeah. Just goes to show you that one card can either make or break your bank account when it comes to trying to collect a set. Yeah. Literally. Yeah. That's how I feel about these tag teams too. Yeah. The Lovebirds and then the Gengar. Those two are insane. Yep. Yeah. That's the thing. Like, I don't know, there's part of me, it's like I. The only way to get one of the Gengars or most of the freaking gen guards I need is to either a sell ton of stuff in order to like pay for it, you know, whatever I sell replenishes for the, the Gengar cards, you know, or you can go to typical route of just credit card debt, which I'm not going into a thousand dollars of debt for a card. Yeah, yeah. Having that card would be nice. It's not a make or break thing. I'm not gonna. Yeah. If I don't pick up that card. Yeah, exactly. I also thought about like wow, you know, maybe I'll save up for it. I'll put like, you know, 100 bucks a week or whatever. Put. Put a hundred dollars away. Heck, I could even put it into my high interest business account and earn interest on it and you know, every month I earn back like 5 or I think it was like 4.5% something goof like that, you know. And eventually it had I'd have enough to buy it. But then I thought by the time I have enough to buy it, the card has probably now gone from a thousand dollars to $1,200. Maybe I'm lucky and it's dropped substantially. But probably not. Probably not. Yeah. So. And yeah, that and the Gold Star Torchic. So yeah. And those just both skyrocketed. So. Now speaking of skyrocketing cards though, there is a rare Pikachu promo card that keeps selling for record breaking prices. And it's not that stupid illustration card that Logan Paul had, thank God. Yeah. Although it is much more interesting looking now. Since early 2025, a Pikachu promo from 1998 has started selling at a much higher price than in prior years. Now this is the case for both ungraded and graded versions of this card. Though the PSA 10 has seen the biggest jump in value thus far. Now, according to price charting, the card in question is the 1999 Umada's Pikachu promo which was released as part of a special vending machine collection released only in Japan is a fully hand drawn by the Pokemon TCG illustrator. Oh boy. Oh boy tells I don't particularly. In other words, if you don't know how to spell the name, just search the Pikachu. Yeah, there will be a picture of it dead center of this damn screen. You know, I'll make it the freaking clip art for this podcast. Yeah, yeah, we have Japanese guys walk through my factory all the time. I Just go, hey, you. Yeah, I don't even pretend to try and learn her name because I. I don't need my overlords to destroy me. We're primarily owned by the Japanese, followed by the Americans and then Canada. And the Americans, we just bash them all the time when they're in the plant. We, you know, we laugh at them about having to leave their assault rifles at the border and all this other crap and blah, blah, blah. But yeah, the Japanese, we don't mock them because, dear Lord, they control everything. You mock those guys, you won't have a job by the end of that sentence. So now, this promo originally came on a randomized printed sheet with cards that could be peeled off. Think of like early renditions of the Ditto card. Yeah, in a sense. Though certainly rare, the card has historically been relatively inexpensive to collect, considering its status as a quote unquote vintage release. But that looks like it's about to change. You see, if you've never seen it before, it's worth taking a moment to admire this fully hand illustrated rendition of Pikachu. Everything on the card is hand drawn, including the stats, HP and energy symbols. Now, Pikachu looks adorably tired standing on a beach in the card's main illustration. For anyone who likes to collect unique cards, this one certainly fits the bill. Not only does it look quite different compared to standard Pokemon cards, it's also pretty rare. After all, these vending series cards were only available in Japan and never saw a wider commercial release. Though it is fairly rare, the card hasn't always been the most expensive vintage card on the market. However, through 2024, an ungraded version of this rare Pikachu sold for about $150. If you were lucky. I mean, that's still not cheap. It is far cheaper than most cards nowadays, but it's, you know, for a relatively weird looking card, is not cheap. But it's also not nearly as pricey as many of the other Pikachu promos that you can see throughout the years. However, through the last few months, this card has steadily started to increase and gain more traction with higher and higher resale prices that top any prior record sale for the card. The on graded card alone has gone up from an average of around $250 in May of 2025 to a recent sale of $900. That's crazy. Which is a pretty staggering increase, right? Um, it's hardly the most impressive change we've seen for this one, though. Originally printed on a sheet, the card can be peeled off and graded like any other trading card. That means that a PSA 10 version of this card sold recently for $8200 on eBay. Damn. Yeah, back in April, one buyer managed to also secure one for 9,300 for the PSA 10 as well. That is insane. Yeah. So why is there such a sudden spike in this value? Right. It's such a random card and I mean, people hardly know about it, and then all of a sudden it just comes out of freaking nor. Right? Yeah. So it's. Exactly, it's not necessarily hard to say exactly why the older cards like this Pikachu promo start to spike in value. But given the ongoing popularity of Pokemon with collectors and of course resellers, many of the rare cards are starting to sell for higher prices over the last few years. With hype surrounding the franchise's 30th anniversary. Now many nostalgia cards are back at the top of the mind for fans and of course resellers. But from the looks of it, this Pikachu may well be among them. There's also the fact that the Japanese cards in general, particularly those never released in the US are starting to become more common collector items. This, along with the fact that a card once ripped from a vending machine has a lower chance of being a PSA 10, has, has likely contributed to the card's sudden rise in value. Same card, or sorry, the same can be said for many other cards while existed at a time before many people saw them as investment items to be kept in a mint condition. That means many retro cards have far fewer PSA 10 copies on the market, particularly if they're rare promos like this one. So basically, there are a lot of factors coming together to make this illustrated Pikachu the latest hot ticket collector item. It's hard to say whether the trend will continue, but for now, Sal are holding steady at a far higher price than the prior years. So if you want to try and get one of these, then, well, you better freaking hurry up now because I, I, I think prices are going to continue to skyrocket. That's crazy. Especially those Pikachu collectors. Yeah, I, I can't see. Oh dear. I don't know why it would go up for such heavily priced. I mean, yes, PSA 10. Well, I mean, let's be real. PSA, PSA will take a card that you wiped your ass with and probably graded a 10 at this moment. They are famous for like being absolutely shitty at grading right now. Yeah, I've heard that. Let's just be fair with that like I'm not, I'm not going to pretend to like psa. I don't psa. I mean I have what maybe. Nope, I don't have a single PSA card. Migrated collection. Oh wow. Yeah, I, I did have one and I got rid of it. Actually. I think I have one. Nope, I do not actually. Well, maybe I might, it might be in my other part of the house because I did take some cards out of my collection that are, that I'm selling and stuck them with my business stuff. So I, I do think I have a PSA card there. But most of them are what the hell that company is called was like some new company in US that are doing pretty well for themselves as well as MMT or Mint here in Canada. Mint in particular I find are way harder to grade than psa. Think of it as like the older Beckett curds. You know how back in the day it was really, really hard to get like a Beckett like gem mint 10 black label kind of thing. Yeah. Think of it as like that they are incredibly hard to grade. You can take a card that looks damn near pristine, completely 100 centered and they'll come back like a 9.5. But talking about Black Label cards actually, or black labels, there is a Black Label Gengar card that is breaking Ascended Heroes record sales. Now of course, you know, one of the all time favorite Pokemon, it's getting a hell of a lot more pricier. So Ascended Heroes is one of the newest sets in the tcg, having just been released last January as part of the Mega Evolution line. Now, while many sales of the mid 5 digit range have already shaken up the market over the past few months, a new record price paid for any card in the set was set on May 9th. The Mega Gengar sir sold for $85,000 for a crazy pristine 10 black label Becket. Yeah, 10 all across the board. Yeah. Now of course it's not the only one that has sold for a gem mint. Here you see this Mega Gengar sir is already valuable on its own as one of the top chases of the entire SNT Hero set. The fact that it received a BGS Black Label 10, often considered the best condition any card can be, increased its value tenfold. The card sold on ebay for astonishing $85,000 price tag, beating the previous record held by a Black Label 10 Mega Dragonite EX for nearly $34,000. A similar Black Label Gengar Mega Gengar sir sold through golden just two days later for a significantly lower amount finishing at $49,460 now as of the time of writing of this article on May 13, there are only 3 bgs black label 10 mega gengar sirs from the Ascended Heroes in the entire world. Wow. But that's not the only gem mint 10 gengar that has sold for record amounts. There are more top Gengar card sales. So while the Mega Gengar sir is close to the record for the character, it still has a ways to go before dethroning the current king. The current title holder of the most valuable Gengar of all time goes to the Japanese Masaki Promo Holo from 1999, which received a tag 10 grade and sold for $101,260 through Golden Now PSA 10 and BGS 9.5. Copies of this exact same card occupy spots number 2 and 3 on the all time Gengar card list, with a PSA version fetching 96,000 and the BGS 9.5 going for 90,000 just weeks later. Then we get the latest Gengar Sir Sale for 85,000 to round out the top four. But what about non Gengar Ascended Hero cards? It's no surprise that the second most valuable card from Ascended Heroes is the is Mega Gengar's direct Sir counterpart, Mega Dragonite Ex. There was a final sale of $51,240 made this the most valuable card to come from the set. Unfortunately, that record only lasted five days before the Gengar sold, and that again was also a pristine 10 from Beckett. Then you had the Pikachu Ex Sir. It also received a Beckett Pristine 10. Though it trails both the S the other 2 mega sirs in monetary value, it's still the third most valuable card in the entire set. And finally, we're going to look at the most iconic Lucario cards in the Pokemon TCG history, followed by our That'll be interesting. Yeah, yeah. When I was looking at this article, there was some Lucario cards that I obviously knew about, but I forgot about one and I'll I'll let you in on a little bit of a secret. It was the Pokemon Rumble version. Oh yeah, yeah. But after we look at the Lucario cards, we're going to look at. Or, sorry, we're going to pick our picks. Pick our picks. Sure. That makes sense. We're going to pick our cards from Hidden Legends as well as Fire Red and Leaf Green to go into our binder. We're doing two sets this week because we need to get kind of caught up. Yeah. So the number one for Lucario, the first Lucario card ever, has a decent length history in the TCG card game, even though it hasn't been around for as long as some of the other popular Pokemon in the game, it has a decent selection of awesome cards that show off how cool the Aura Pokemon really is. The first printing of the Lucario was from the diamond and Pearl base set. There were only three cards with a rarity higher than Holo Rare in the diamond and Pearl base set, and they're the cards from the set most valuable than Lucario. Of course, Lucario's first card always had to have the Aurora Sphere Attack and the iconic Ken Sugimori official artwork. The Lucario from Diamond and Pearl currently holds a value of $53.79 for the Holo and $40.71 for the reverse Holo, both of which took a. Well, the Reverse Hollow took a dive somewhere around near the end of March and then slightly picked up around April 23rd or so. The hollow, though, took a decent dive around the beginning of May and kind of started to pick up around the May 16th, 17th era, which is kind of interesting. There was, of course, the peak Lucario artworks of the day with the Lucario and Melmetal GX sun and Moon 192 card. Yep. This is one of the favorite tag team cards because of the artwork of Melmeto and Lucario Training together is so wonderful. You can see that Melmetal is trying to follow what Lucario is doing. And you can tell by its expression and how its head is angled like it is looking directly at Lucaro to mimic it. This card has a few different illustrations across its printings, but this one is probably the most popular because of how dynamic it is compared to the full art and regular print. Yeah, it tells more of a story. Yeah. Yeah. It's like a training montage in a sense. Yeah. But that card is currently sitting at $57.51. But then we got Lucario V Star. Now, this card is from the Crown Scenist Elite Trainer box. Its artwork is also just plain imitating, so in such a way that all you have is Lucario all up in your face, kind of just giving you that mean look. Now, this card was slept on for a very long time while it's still around for a buck or two. For the longest time, the recent craze has caused Lucario V Star to start to climb closer and closer and to the wait for it. $10 range, which is quite a bit of a. Quite a bit for a regular ETB promo, is currently sitting at a whopping $15.71. And at its low time back in February, it was at $8.90. Then we have Mega Lucario EX. Now this one is. I don't remember what number is. I think it's like a 170 something. This card just came out in 2025, but it's already one of the coolest looking cards ever. You gotta love any illustration with more than one Pokemon. And this one has the most of the Mega Evolution Evolute Evolution. Most Mega Evolved Pokemon from the Mega Evolution set. But the focus is still on Lucario as it winds up attacking against Mega Venusaur. You've got, yeah, Lucario Venusaur, potentially Starmie in there somewhere. Looks like a phalanx down in one corner, there's a Lot happening there. But the current market value for that card is $234.69. Then we get into the Grail cards because you know what could be more interesting than Mega Lucario? When the spin off video game Pokemon Rumble came out in the year 2009, Pokemon Company International also received the Pokemon TCG Rumble Box which came with 16 promo cards featuring art in the style of Pokemon Rumble. Now because these cards were only available in one box and that box is now what, 17 years old, they each fetch a pretty pending on the secondary market. The Lucario from Pokemon Rumble is sitting at a market price of $280.48, but with a listed median price of $2,999.19. Wow. What the hell? Damn. Its market value is less than 300, but it's sitting at just pennies away from $3,000 as the listed. What the. Right. Wow. That, that doesn't make any sense. Yeah, but then we get Lucario EX from Furious Fists. Now this card started off, I mean expensive, climbed pretty well and then has just plummeted for some odd reason all the way down into like this week, which it started off around the 150 mark. It's now sitting at less than $150. Wow. This is the Lucario EX pump Furious Fist number 160, something, I think. Market price right now is 146.93. It is a full art Lucario EX from Furious Fist. Like I mentioned, it's kind of darkish, fighting, kind of like mysterious look, very amberly colored in a sense. Interesting that it started off at a relatively respectable price, skyrocketed up to about. Well, I'm, I'm not going to say skyrocketed because it was sitting like mid-150s and then it plummeted again like $10. But it's currently sitting like $10 less or about $6 less than what it originally started off at. Yeah, I'm just looking at the six or three month mark. If you look at the one year mark, it has steadily increased. A year ago today it was sitting like $109. So to go from 109 to 146, that's still less than a $40 increase over the last. Yeah, yeah. So I mean it is steadily climbing, but it's, it's a slow climb. Next we have two Mega Lucarios. Now these ones have been quite interesting. You got the full, full art one and then you got the one where it's just kind of in the illustration box. Both Pictures will be up here on the screen. The non full art is 162.43 for market. The full art though is only $64.06 and honestly the full art looks a hell of a lot better. And finally, the gold Mega Lucario from Mega Evolutions. Now this one is ironic. It started off back in September when it came out at $538.52. Oh my gosh, it's now sitting at $230.08. Big drop in that. A $300 drop. Just goes to show do not buy singles when they first come out. Nope, do not. You know, you had you. You waited what from beginning of September, mid September to now May, you know. And it's dropped $300 which is crazy. That's a lot. Yeah. Take your time. Just wait. Most times things drop, but you got to watch how the market goes because like I mean hell, like I said before, if I had known frickin tag team was going to somehow blown out of nowhere, I would have bought up the tag team cars I needed for my master set prior to the massive explosion of the value. Yeah. And you know, are those cars going to go down? I have no freaking idea. I don't know. I would hope so, but I. I doubt it. I really don't. No, not. Not anytime soon, I don't think. Yeah, I had a feeling they were going to go up in price, but I didn't know how fast because unfortunately I could have had a lot more. I have a good amount of them, but they're mostly the GXs. I mean, not like I'm gonna sell them anytime soon. I'm like I'm probably gonna hold on to them until I'm old and gray. I mean, well, let's be honest here. I am old and I definitely am. I. Well, I skipped gray and went straight to white. I don't have a speck of gray hair on me. I went straight white. Yeah, working kids will do that to you. Yeah. But now to look at the two cards that we're adding from Hidden Legend. Well, yeah, two cards, one card each from Hidden Legend and Fire Red and Leaf green. Now, my pick for Hidden Legends, I had two options, both the same Pokemon and one number off of one another. It was Metang. I could either pick 43 or 44. I really didn't know which one. So I let Instagram pick for me and people picked 43 simply because number 43 has a. It's a psychic type. 44 was a ground type or fighting type, I should say. 43 has 80 HP, whereas 44 only has 70. 44 has a pretty crappy moveset. Whereas 43 has psi shock for two energies, which is pretty damn steep for a secondary evolution, but also not quite. However, you flip a coin and if heads, the defending Pokemon, is also now paralyzed for three energies, one of them being a psychic energy, you immediately put five damage counters on the defending Pokemon. So for 3 energies, you drink 50 damage. Not terrible, no. For Fire red and Leaf green, though, it was a much, much easier pick. I simply picked Manky, number 38 in the set simply because of one move and one move only for a single energy is called Mischief and all you do is you shuffle your opponent's deck. I like it. Why? I. I feel like that should have just been a non energy move, you know, like one of those invisible ones where it doesn't. Doesn't cost an energy. I know they kept those moves like the non energy ones for like the baby Pokemon. Yeah. But like, I feel like this could have just been a massive like Fu to your opponent if you could just randomly, you know, you throw down one energy because your next move is light punch for one fighting energy and one regular energy. And that does 30 damage, which is pretty substantial when Manky alone only has 50. But I. I mean like you could put down one energy to start building for your light punch or start building for your PrimeApe. And even before that, you could just be like, you know, I'm going to show for your deck like f you kind of thing, you know, just to like really screw somebody. I feel like that would have been a hell of a lot better. Just make it a non energy required move just to screw with people. Yeah. Although at the same time I feel like that would make games a lot, lot longer, so. Oh, it. It definitely would have. Yeah. So which card did you pick for Hidden Legends? So Hidden Legends I chose. So I just actually noticed too as well that both. So I chose stary number 49 of 101 simply for. I like the. The two moves it has and the art. The art's like a close up of it and kind of like a darker background, but it's a very close up. It's. It's relatively similar to the number to the star number 75, 101 of the same set, except it's a closer up of. Because like Star used more of a mid shot. And then the Star Me is a close up and mostly focusing on the gem. But what's funny is. So it's the same artist for both of those cards. So that's probably why I kind of just had a thing for the art. But the. The other thing with the Star Me is one all the new Starmies that came out, especially like the Mega. I felt like just kind of given some attention to an older Starmie and I liked how the moves on this ones are interested. So it's a ADHP card. It has a water move. Well, it's a water move that does. It's called Water Arrow, which is interesting different. Choose one of your opponent's Pokemon and this attack does 20 damage to that Pokemon. You don't apply the weakness of resistance for bench Pokemon. And yeah, and then the second move is Rainbow Star, which has. Which is a really different name. Psychic and 2 colorless energies does 50 damage, plus 10 more damage for each type of basic energy attached to the defending Pokemon. That's pretty cool. Now, that would work really well if you're fighting a dragon type because they require different energies. If you're fighting a single typed Pokemon or one that requires a single typing of energy, or like in the case of Manky, one fighting and one whatever. So technically, yeah, two fighting energies, that is only one type of basic energy. So that would only account for an extra 10. Whereas a dragon type, you're looking at what, 30 maybe. Well, about typically three different types of energy. So a maximum of an extra 30 damage. Yeah. So that would be freaking. It'd be very, very awesome. Yeah, I think. And the other thing with the art, too, I think I like it so much because it has a lot of crust. I think it's called cross. Not cross stitching, but I forgot the term. There's a term for art. If you look at like, certain parts on the star. On the Starmie's point, it has like the lines, but the hatching. Hatching. Yeah. Is what. Cross our hatching? Something like that. I just think that's cool because it just gives it more like. I don't want to say definition, but it just. I don't know, it. I. I just like. I like the art on these cards. And the artist was on both this one and ironically, this. The star. You was a Kasubi. So that was pretty cool. I just, you know, noticing that that was the same artist and on both of the forms, but I just really liked it. I thought. I think that Starmie, up until the Megas, you know, and the. That whole situation has very. Has been usually underrated, even though it's a classic and like, Misty has it. Yeah. And. Yeah. And everybody knows the funny. I mean, everyone knows the. The English version of the noises they make. Star you and Star me. And then. Yeah, you don't want to look up the French ones. Yeah. I mean. Yes, you do. Come on. You'll never think of them the same again. Yeah, I had a kid. Funny short story really quick. I do landscaping on the side and I had a potential job, didn't end up taking it. But I'm keeping in touch with the mother and whatnot, because the kid, he's autistic. He loves Pokemon. He's. He's nine. And I asked him, who's your favorite Pokemon? And I've never heard anybody say this but he says Starmie. So yeah, I found that really interesting for a nine year old to have Starmie as a favorite nowadays. Yeah. Yeah. It's an interesting Pokemon. Yeah. Now what did you pick for Fire Red and Leafgreen. So Fire Red and Leaf Green. I really, really wanted to choose a the Magikarp 67 112. Because mainly not just the beautiful art but the the moves as well. Like again the moves were just so cool. But I ended up choosing. This is a really random and odd one. But I ended up choosing number 29. I'm sorry. 30. I just can't tell if that's a nine or a four. 39. I believe a 112. Yep. 39. 39 on 112. And it is Metapod. The reason being is I mainly because of the moves. The art kind of looks like it's in the woods, but it's like you see like the sun rays coming through the the background. It looks like almost and it has like the close up of the Meta Pod on a tree. But it has a move sharpen which is just two colorless energies takes away 20. Mind you, this metapod has 80 HP, which is pretty high for that Pokemon at the time. Yeah. But I really like the Poke body energy protection move. It says any damage done to Metapod by attacks is reduced by 10 for each energy attached to Metapod. You can't reduce more than 30 damage in this way. So I thought that you don't see moves like that anymore. No. And I just thought the artwork on top of the moves and mainly I. I was mainly looking at the moves on these cards. But I always have just because I love the art so much on a lot of cards I always have the eye for that as well that I try to, you know, find something. This card too was. I. I can't read who the artist is because it's too blurred. I I screenshot it. It's to save it for now. But. But this card, you know, I think it. I'm not sure if it was the same as the Magikarp or not. I couldn't tell. It looked like it was though. But that's not guaranteed. But long story short, I, I with these two cards like again, Starmies was kind of brought hyped up in the mega right now and perfect order. But I just thought it was cool to look back at an older version of it that I like to, you know, how it looked and the moves were interesting. And then same thing with Metapod mainly the, the moves, the energy protection I thought that was interesting on top of the fact that it's a older card of a, you know, stage Pokemon that's has a high hp. Yeah. I mean that poke power essentially, you know, resembles harden from like the anime. Interesting that you can only stack it up to 30. Yeah, but it's quite interesting that. I mean, I mean it's not. It's not uncommon now that I see it. You know, Metapod having 80 HP. Yeah. Now. Yeah. I mean like, even though like back then ADHP was reserved for like final evolutions or like Mewtwo and all that crap. Yeah. But when you think about it, it's just a hardened shell Pokemon. Yeah. It's meant to be beefy. It's meant to have a high defense. Right. You know, in the games you had the ability to have high defense. In the tcg you don't have that ability other than a larger hp.
