Okay, let's dive into this Pokemon Champions Hosino interview. This is he. So Hoshino did an interview with Famitsu, which is Japanese magazine. It's like. It's like Japan's Game Informer except they good way to explain it didn't shut down and then start back up and then I don't know what's happening with Game Informer anymore. Can you sell? Bobby, you were at GameStop and you were a pro member. Were you still getting a Game Informer at one point? All right, all right, hold on. I'm not a pro member anymore. I don't shop at GameStop anymore. I don't, you know, if you do, it's fine. But I don't like. I don't stop there. Shop there. No, I think. I think that that stopped. If I remember correctly, the last time I was a pro member, I did not get any like Game Informer. Oh no. Did it come Beckett. Cause it came back again. Maybe it did come back. Wasn't it digital for a little bit too? Yes, there was a time, I think where there were no physical. You weren't getting physical magazines. Yu-Gi-Oh Game Informer's been through a lot. It's back though. I believe it is currently back. But I don't know if it's also part of the Pro membership at GameStop anymore, but I do believe it's currently issuing issues. Famitsu was like the one of the reviewers that I think how their review system works is it's out of 40, but they take four different reviewers and then they can each give them a 10. So if your game was a 40 out of 40, that was like the highest praise in the world because all four people gave it a ten. I like that. Yu-Gi-Oh that's kind of a fun way to do It. Yu-Gi-Oh I like that because you're getting multiple opinions there, and then it's not just one 10 out of 10. Yu-Gi-Oh no, I like that. I don't like. I. I don't like the rating. I don't like the 10 rating. I like. I like a 5 rating because I don't think most games are a 7 out of 10, and I think a 7. We. I've talked about how I don't like 7 out of 10. Yu-Gi-Oh but if it's. If it's out of 5 and you gave it 3 out of 5, that's a. That's a 6 out of 10. And see, I feel like a 3 out of 5 is a 7 out of 10. No, a 3 out of 5 is a 6 out of 10. I would put. Like, if I was to write something a seven, I'd also rate it a three. I'm not gonna rate it a four, but, Yu-Gi-Oh seven is a cop out. Well, you're really feeling a six. Sure. Yu-Gi-Oh I'll agree with you on the seven one. But a one out of five, middle of the ground is where I'd put seven or three. I think people have range out of five. No, there is enough range. I don't think there is. There is. I think there's too much. There's a big difference between a three and a four. There's got to be room for. I mean, again, I'm not a seven out of ten person either. But like. Or like a four and a. Or like a. Like a four and a five. Like, there's so much room in between a four and a five. No, there's not. There is because. Because I don't. I don't think. I don't think a lot of games are 10 out of 10. Right. Like Wolfie Glick said, Scarlet and Violet was a 10 out of 10, and that had to be pure clickbai. Like that. That game is not a 10 out of 10. I would even argue. I would argue. A lot of Pokemon games are. To me, six out of tens. But that. But out of a five, that's a three out of five. Like, I would give Legend Za three out of five, six out of ten. I don't think Legendary. Sorry, not Legends Arches the Legends. Yu-Gi-Oh I don't think Legends z is an 8 out of 10. I don't think it's a 7. I think 7 out of 10 is just a bad score. So I've noticed the problem, though. One out of five. Each of those numbers is just occupying two spaces. So a three is a six or a seven? No, four is a. Well, unless you did a 3.5 out of 10. Right. This is where the issue shows up. So the, the problem for me is what game would you consider? Like, what game would you consider a 9 out of 10? Like pick a game that you'd consider a 9 out of 10. 9 out of 10. Pocopia. Pocopia. Okay. Is that a 4 out of 5 or a 5 out of 5? I would. In the scale of. I'd probably give it a four out of five. But now that's like an eight out of ten. That's fine though. That's fine though because like, if I'm, if I'm shopping for a TV and you're telling me the TV is a 4 out of 5 or an 8 out of 10, I'm gonna buy that, right? Who's being like, Yu-Gi-Oh it's an 8 out of 10. I don't know if I could buy that. But if it's a 7 out of 10, you're like 7 out of 10. But that's true. A 3 out of 5. I feel like people do buy threes out of fives because it's like Yu-Gi-Oh like a lot of Sonic fans, they, they know for sure. They're just, they're, they're never getting, they're never getting eights, nines or tens on a Sonic game, right? So like Sonic just catching strays. But like, I think I, I think Legend Za is a three out of five, right? I think it's, I think it's good. I don't think it's amazing. I think there are things it does good. I think there are things it really does poorly, but I think it's an average game. I think some gamers think like, Yu-Gi-Oh 6 out of 10 is like not a. I can't purchase that. But you. But people purchase three out of fives all the time. Bring back X Play. X Play had out of five. All right, well now we all know where we stand on review ratings. I'm going to give this Hosino interview. We haven't read a three out of five. Okay, so I'll link the Famutsu interview here in the show notes like I do, but I have a Twitter post from pomamovgc. Her name is Laura. I don't know her level of Japanese, but she said she translated it all and got 300 likes on Twitter, which is kind of not a lot of likes, but she formatted it very well. So we're gonna go through this. I'll Put this laughing picture of Hoshino on the screen. Smartphone release and reception wanted to release as fast as possible after Switch version, except at least two months from the UNITE experience to avoid players feeling like they were behind after PJCs and Ni Naic to risk unforeseen bugs at those tournaments. 10 million downloads combined on Switch+ phone eight days after a release. Lots of new players. Also in new regions where main games are less popular. Brazil is top five worldwide. Multiple sea countries in the top ten. Oh my gosh. It's almost like we said this for months going in and it's almost like a bunch of people probably from the US commented that this, that. Who doesn't have a Switch at this point? I don't know. Maybe all those people in China and Brazil where the Switch is incredibly expensive for them. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Yep. Who would have guessed that that was their primary market? Not primary, but like a market they definitely wanted to target. Yu-Gi-Oh for sure. June monthly challenge had 1.3 million participants compared to the 720 in the warm up challenge in April. 720,000. Yes. Only 720. It was crazy game. Hoshino compares it to filling the Tokyo Dome 25 times over. Okay, sure. This sounds like when someone, you know, have you seen those reels that people post or maybe on TikTok as well, where they're like, this is what one Fleer looks like. This is what, 10 followers. And then it shows like all the people expanding out. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Okay, thanks. As you know. Yes. I'm sure 1.3 million did like three matches. I mean, have them sit in a Tokyo Dome for like six hours for like any tournament or something. That's very different. Yu-Gi-Oh Very happy with the positive reception. 4.8 stars or higher. We're talking about. We're talking about smartphone. Really? Still out of five, right? Out of five. I think it was like what, 4.9 on iOS and 4.7 on Android. So that's how they got the 4.8. Yu-Gi-Oh And then Hoshino says he feels like his one-of-one rate is higher on the train. Only Hoshino, you might be right. That's why I got this picture of him laughing right here. That's him on a train ride. Just getting straight dubs. Smartphone Yu-Gi-Oh Hoshino came up with the charge, a bug, battery icon. It was very important to him because it's just so Pokemon. Thank you, Hoshino. It is. He's not wrong. It is. So Pokemon. Both Single Tap and Double Tap for selections were discussed, but they settled on Double Tap. For better synergy with the options to show more with the with option to show more detail. Look at that corporate speak Synergy. They really thought of a key turn solution for this app. They are aware that the Yu-Gi-Oh still needs improvement in other areas and are working on it. File size was a big focus. The game is now two gigs since they wanted the game to be accessible as possible on cheaper phones. However, they struggled to reduce the Ram below four gigs due to features like 10 recruits in the ranch at the same time and four Pokemon on the field in a double battle. They also wanted the game experience on Switch and phone to be as close as possible with each other. That was like the most generalized Hoshino answer right there. Well, they did it better than Pokemon Home. True, true. Regulation mb. New contents in MB were selected to be easily accessible for new players, but also not to be unbalanced for the world championships. Yu-Gi-Oh you just made Charizard incredibly dominant. That's all you did. They were worried that Staraptor was too strong for a short while after release, with a lot of videos like Staraptor is OP being released. But players figured it out. Okay, we need to go back to Hoshino laughing. Okay, I think this is probably my favorite bullet point from it. I think it is funny, but it, to me it says like, they thought about Staraptor being too op. And then they saw that people made videos of Staraptor being too op. But they knew, they knew that Staraptor wasn't op. Just like I knew Staraptor wasn't op. I never lost to a Staraptor. I'll say right there, I. I never lost. But I'm not surprised that that was like what happened. And I'm thinking they probably were not surprised either. Right. Like, I remember Staraptor coming out. I remember seeing all the videos. I remember hearing it on Twitter. People coming into my Twitch chat being like, oh, Staraptor is so strong. And it's like, no, here's like six different ways to counter. Right? Like they're right. Yu-Gi-Oh And. And as time goes on, when people figure out more and more counters then were relying on that, then realize, oh, I can't one-of-one with this anymore because people have figured it out. So then it naturally, naturally balances itself. Right? Yu-Gi-Oh Right. It's like to me, it's very similar to Beat up Justified. So you get a Pokemon with Justified, the ability which, if you get hit by a dark type move, your attack goes up. Then you put a Pokemon with beat up, which hits multiple times right next to that Pokemon, this was pretty popular in like the Dynamax format where you would double your hp, but you could have like Justified Arcanine next to like a Sneasel and then have the Sneasel or Sneasler or Weavile beat up the Arcanine. And then all of a sudden Arcanine is plus, you know, five or six attack. Right. And that's very similar to like a Staraptor strategy. Right? Incredibly similar. But once you lose to that, you then recognize that and go forward and you go, Yu-Gi-Oh there's like an Arcanine and a Sneasler on their team. I know what they're going to do. Sure. You got to take notes. Write down a book. Write it down. Hey, I found a lot of free Pokemon notebooks. I didn't have to spend $35 anywhere. I just, I. They were, they were right in boxes of stuff. I found one from Yokohama. The like Yokohama notebook. Nice. I don't know what I'm gonna do with it. I'm gonna take notes. Take some notes. Take notes. Anyways, I think the Star Raptor thing is great. Like, I, I'm not surprised that Pokemon, or in this case Hoshino was like, oh, maybe this ability is too op. But also, at least in our current rotation of Pokemon, there are answers to Staraptor. Yu-Gi-Oh for sure. Do you think I know that? This. These like what is being said here is paraphrasing. Like I'm. I'm sure he didn't say quote, like, but players figured it out. But do you think that like they were proud when players figured it out? Like they were like, yes, you got it. You figured it out. Hoshino only uses Staraptor on the train. He's just laughing at everybody who's beating with Staraptor. He's like, y' all gotta figure this out. The regulation turned out about how they expected, but players always surprised them. Like the Area Dose or the Mega Steelix in regulation. Ma Ariados was the one that one-of-one the. That one big tournament. Yes. I remember that because I was surprised just because I was like, Ariados one-of-one something that was like a well known. Yu-Gi-Oh Was that a Korean player or a Japanese player? I don't remember. It was like a well known player that has like one stuff before. Yu-Gi-Oh Yes. Yu-Gi-Oh And then the Mega Steelix. Are they referring to Wolfie? I think maybe. Unsure. I. I think they're referring to Wolfie on that one. But Yu-Gi-Oh I mean like, you wouldn't have to know specific players for this. I don't know if Hoshino knows, like, oh, these are top players. Although I'd be very shocked if Hoshino didn't know who like some of the top Japanese players are top. Some of the top, like American players specifically. Like Wolfie Glick. Right. You think Hoshino spent $35 on a notebook so that he can use it on the train when he's writing down notes? He might be a fan. He's wearing like the difference hat. As he's on the. As he's on the train. You wouldn't have to know like top players though, obviously. You could just be like, oh, the, the Steelix one. Yu-Gi-Oh sure. Right. You wouldn't have to know where that come from. Hoshino. This is from the Hoshino interview. So I'm gonna say Hoshino said this Choice Ban and choice Scarf were considered difficult for new players. I don't think so. But. But they figured it out. But they've. But we're still all trying to figure out why Leppa Berry and Oran Berry are there. Hoshino. That's the real why again. Hoshino. Give me one situation where you would. You would put Oran Berry on a team. Please. Your Citrus Berry is already somewhere else. Leftovers was already somewhere else. It's probably the team he's using when he's not on the train. He has a specific train team and just somehow it's doing better. But there's no Oran Berry on that team. You never know when you want to drop everything and use Aleppa Berry to do an SOS hunt in Champions. You're like, I'm gonna skill SW Sepia gonna put Harvest on the other Pokemon. Then I'm gonna trick the Leppa Berry onto it. There you go. They're never gonna run out of protects. They're Goldin Life Orb and Light Clay were added for balance out defense and offense. Light Clay Grimmsnarl seemed like a simpler beginning beginner friendly strategy by setting screens and then parting shot out. Yu-Gi-Oh I, I, I. Yes. I think light screen Grimmsnarl is like the guaranteed go to thing. I think it's pretty like Grimmsnarl. I I don't think is. I think Grim Snarl can be beginner friendly. Yes. I agree. But I think there's a lot of things Grim Star can do to make him more advanced. We saw some crazy stuff with Grim Snarl near the end of Scarlet and Violet with like Iron Tail trick. Although they did remove Thunder Wave from Grimmsnarl. Right. But like, because. Because Grimmsnarl can be more advanced. Doesn't also mean that it's not beginner friendly. Right. It's the one. It's like you can start off this way and then as you understand more what you're doing, like it can be something that you can get more advanced with as well. Yu-Gi-Oh that's true. That's true. Grimshire was also one of those Pokemon where you probably have like eight moves in mind that you want and you can only fit four. Right. Like, Yu-Gi-Oh you could. You could light screen for like done turn one. But you could also teach Grimstar a fake out. And it's like, okay, well I have to fake out now, but also I need the light screen. Maybe I just get rid of the fake out. Like, I don't even run parting shot on my Grim Snarls. Well, I mean, I do when I'm on the train, but I'm rarely on the train here. Weather was added for Synergy. Weather Rocks were added to Synergy with weather focused meta of regulation Ma. I don't know what Weather Rocks ever added. Yu-Gi-Oh What does that mean? Maybe there's just a hiccup in the translation there. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Megas will continue into September, but Hoshino cannot give details about which are added. Come on, we're missing Salamance. Let's not. I don't think there's a lot of speculation there. Right. Like Salamence has to be next. Right. Right. And then current currently in discussion how to add legendary Pokemon to the game, respecting the many new phone only players. Again, I'm. Thank you, Hoshina. This is what we've been talking about. This is currently in discussion, though I feel like this should have been discussed before. Now we're getting around to it. They knew they were going to have to add legendary Pokemon eventually. So Yu-Gi-Oh we've had. We've had Caillou on the show from Brazil. I met him in Japan. My friend Julie, who is originally from Brazil, but she's lived in Japan for like six years now. She introduced me and I do remember him saying that the switch was just incredibly expensive in Brazil and not a lot of people have one. Right. And I remember early arguments in our YouTube comments or on Slack or in Discord is like, this isn't a big deal because everyone plays Pokemon Go. So just do a. Do a Legendary Raid, do your. Do your Legendary Landorus, transfer it to Pokemon Home, then transfer it into Pokemon Champions. But then a huge market that I would bring up would be like China. There's a lot of players in China. Pokemon Go does not work in China. Right. It works in Hong Kong, and that's it. Like, there have been plenty of Pokemon Go YouTubers that have, like, tried to make a China video of, like, don't worry, I'll go to China. I'll use a vpn. I'll. I'll turn on an incense. I'll grab the. It doesn't work. It only works in Hong Kong. Hoshino saying, currently in discussion how to add legendary Pokemon to the game, respecting many phone only players. That does make me think of, like, Chinese players. But also, I'm sure there are other parts of the world that I'm not thinking of where switches are really expensive, or maybe Pokemon Go isn't fully accessible, or maybe there's like a language barrier and that's why those players like Pokemon Go is there, but Pokemon Go is not in every single language. There are just barriers when you introduce it to, like, phone only players. And you could argue that there would be a competitive advantage if, you know, Landerous comes and what's the last game you could get Landers in? You Goldin get in Scarlet and Violet, so it would have been Sword and Shield. Sword and Shield, Yu-Gi-Oh Yep. Which is actually kind of crazy now that I think Scarlet and Violet is pretty much over. And Enamorous was not in Scarlet and Violet. And Tornadoes Thunderous, Landerous were not in Scarlet and Violet, even though those Pokemon were definitely used in the Meta for Scarlet and Violet. Yu-Gi-Oh And remember all you could get. Remember all those, like, leakers said that Enamorus was coming to Scarlet and Violet, and then it never did because they were all just liars. Classic. You could get Landis in Legends. Arceus, right? Yes. Okay. And that was the last game you get Landerous in. Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh I guess that's true. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh You get Land. Yu-Gi-Oh But that was still years ago that that game came out. So that was. That was a while ago. I think there's. I think there are. I think there were actually genuinely good things about this interview. I think the Star Raptor thing was really good. I think bringing up Eridos, I think the some of the balance stuff makes sense. I'm not sure how Hoshino continues to do interviews, whereas, like, no one else under the Pokemon umbrella is like, they're all barred from doing interviews, but Hoshino's just running wild. I wonder if he did this interview on a train. I wonder if they just like, leaned over and they're like, hoshino san, tell me about Staraptor. Wait, are we doing the second. The two other screenshots from this? Because one of the screenshots, they translate like a message that Hoshino has to the players. I thought we. I thought it was only. I thought it was only two. This. This interview is a lot longer than I thought. I didn't read these. I read the only. The first. I only thought it was two. I was two out of four here. There's four screenshots. I thought it was two out of two. That's 100%. No, it's four screenshots. The Pokemon PJCS is what? Pokemon Japan Championship Series. I think if I remember correctly. Sounds right. I think the J stands for Japan. They felt a lot of pressure holding such a big, big event two months in release. But glad it went well. Hoshino's experience from Pokken helped him. I'm sure it did. Land equipment and all switches were provided by the tournament organizer. This was only due to a smallish scale of PJCs. I thought there was no LAN tournament mode for Champions. I thought this was a complaint when they announced Champions. Tournament mode allows register players to log into any switch with a code and make their team available. This is how they do the live streams for like the US streams. You like log in with you just make your team code available and then you just use your team code. That's it. Right. Participants increased from 64 to 128, so people were still fighting for the world's invite. Special titles were also given as an additional incentive to players. Hoshino says lots of great moments. Soak Pelipper, Rain Dance Frost. Last Double Protect on Polito. Okay, something with the double protector. But Hoshino's favorite match was against Yuchi 1st Aki on the day one seniors finals. They put a lot of work into a special soundtrack that might be his favorite ever he's worked on. They've prepared everything for Worlds. Now they just need to pray there will be no big bugs. You'd hope so. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean that's. Yu-Gi-Oh I guess. Good. Great for the confirmation. Longevity. New regulations should make the game feel fresh. Regular tournament schedule keeps players engaged like PJCs, the monthly challenge and the Ruler of Origin, which is a Japanese exclusive tournament. Listening to players feedback on features and staying flexible is important. Development teams are also players, so they're engaged with the community and see more than you would expect. That's a very like corporate answer though. Yu-Gi-Oh for sure. They're aware that players are asking for more open communication. So Hoshino is Planning to share more information in interviews and the like. I think it just means we're gonna hear more. This is not the last we're hearing from Hoshino. We get more maybe on this podcast one day. We just gotta reach out message to the players. I'm extremely grateful that Pokemon Champions is being enjoyed by so many players. I'll be very happy if we continue to enjoy Pokemon Battles together. World Championships is approaching. It will be held on the 20th through 30th in San Francisco. Start out with playing Pokemon you like. If you hit a wall, look at teams published by top players and take inspiration. Oshino is currently playing a double Battles team with only Pokemon that were in poking tournament. So Blaziken, Garchomp, Sceptile and quite successful in Master Ball tier. Doesn't say if he's playing on the train or not. For internal tournaments. For internal tournaments, he goes serious with a Mega Pyroar Torkle team that he found online and goes for a very satisfying helping hand. Boosted Flame, Main Heat Wave or Overheat in the Sun. Okay, these are. I'm going to tell you right now, do not listen to Hoshino's tips. Mega Pyroar is Lion Water, AKA Dog Water. It's so bad. No, don't use Mega Pyroar. Everyone should enjoy the game in their own way. But if you want to improve, it is helpful to put yourself in your opponent's shoes. Thanks, Hoshin. All right. Thank you. People figured that one out. Don't let. It's not great. Okay, but who is this interview serving? Because I feel like if you're checked out with champions, none of this like really makes you want to check back in with champions. I guess if you're playing champions, it. It's like fine to hear. Yu-Gi-Oh I think if you're playing, especially if you're a newer player, which again, this is like the. Some of the people that they're really trying to hit. Right. So I think if you're a newer player and you are currently playing, then this. This kind of makes sense. But otherwise, I don't know. It's just Hoshino. Loves to talk. I think that's what it is. You know, he likes talking. And it feels there is a feeling of transparency when you have someone from the team talking. Even if, like, those talking points aren't exactly the most detailed, it still feels like, oh, the people from the team are talking to the public, which isn't the case for a lot of games. So there is that. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, Bungie would do a weekly talk to her destiny. They did it for like seven years. I don't think it made anyone feel better. Yu-Gi-Oh I bet Hoshino would love to do weekly talks if they would let him see. I think weekly's too frequent, but it's nice to hear every once in a while. I just, I think back to like, when Pokemon Go started doing those Dev Diaries. They did like three at all. Threw in the towel. Yu-Gi-Oh And people, people really liked those. It was just like, regardless of how much we were really learning, it was just nice to hear from the team every once in a while. And then again, Yu-Gi-Oh it was like three of them. Right. And they just, they were like, Yu-Gi-Oh we're done. So well, lucky for you. Yu-Gi-Oh Michael and. Was it Michael and Ed Yu-Gi-Oh I think they both have a. I think they're doing daily panels at Worlds. My guess is it's probably a similar, shorter version of the panel they gave before they handed out the free Mewtwo to everyone in New York. Oh, right. Yu-Gi-Oh I'm gonna assume it's probably similar to that. Although Michael and Ed showed a lot of, like, family pictures and I'm assuming they're going to probably. Yu-Gi-Oh they one-of-one do that. Game Freak Video gives behind the scenes look at Pokemon Champions this is a. This is off Go Nintendo. But you could just go to the YouTube video and patch auto I don't know how much you'll get out of the YouTube video since it's in Japanese. Oh, our Japanese listeners or people who just know Japanese might get more out of it. Yu-Gi-Oh I'm going to skip what this is. I'm just going to read the bullet points here. They said they got the bullet points. They said they got the translation from fami boards. So again, with any time we do translations or these websites do translations, take them with a grain of salt because there could be just one or two errors in them, but not as many bullet points as the Hoshino interview. Well, there never would be as many bullet points as a Hoshino interview. We could do a whole podcast on Hoshino. Game Freak did the initial planning and supervision for Champions while main development was handled by Pokemon works, which is iLCA. Game Freak was worried that the core battle system could change over time, so they wanted a game to retain it and not to alienate it. Alienate older players. There's a lot that goes into that statement. Yu-Gi-Oh there's a lot there. Oh, you could read that statement a lot of different ways. We'll come back to the statement. Okay. Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Because eyes are ease E. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh wrote that initial the game proposal as he's the director from Game Freak's side. The attendant audience. Examples he used were Morimoto and Mosaic Hoshino. Hoshino. Hoshino, development director and producer from the Pokemon company. Game Freak wanted to prioritize actual battling, so the usual aspects of Pokemon like training had to be removed. The presentation was designed to be snappy and fast paced, making sure that the in game effects and move effects weren't too long. I don't know if we talked about this on the show, but the battles are like legitimately faster. Yu-Gi-Oh we do talk a little bit about that. Because that was my concern about trying to Blue Ice I just don't want things to go on for too long. Especially on a mobile. Right. Especially on the train. Especially on the train. I got so much time. Game Freak wanted to remove the vagueness of moves descriptions and probability rates, making sure that actual numbers were shown. Frontier City was created as an in game justification for why people would constantly be battling. Sure. Game Freak has internal. An internal team that focuses on abilities. Pokemon get this expands to stats, moves, as well as when it comes to Mega Evolution. Morimoto says that they play around 50 matches a day. Could you imagine being on the abilities team at Game Freak? That's your job is just abilities. Yu-Gi-Oh Well, I know we know this from deleted. James Turner tweets that when he designed Pokemon, he didn't get to pick abilities, moves. Sure. Any of that stuff. Yu-Gi-Oh Like, I'm sure there. I know there's a team that just. All they do is battle and test and stuff. But like, somebody had to make the decision for Grimstar. I'll not have Thunder Wave anymore. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh And I don't think Hoshino is making that decision. He's over there running that Mega Pyroar. Game Freak is worried that core battle systems could change over time. So they wanted to re. They wanted a game to retain it and not to alienate older players. This is a weird sentence because, like, this already happened. Like Legends. Arceus was already different. Yu-Gi-Oh I. I feel like there maybe is a little bit of like, mistranslation here because for one, Game Freak is worried that the core battle system could change over time. Game Freak is the ones who would change the core battle system over time. They're the ones that would make that decision. What are they worried about? They were the ones that are doing it or not doing it. Yu-Gi-Oh So maybe I think worried isn't the correct word here. Although I don't know Japanese, so I can't say that I would translate any better, but it just. It's such an odd statement because what I see from that is the core battle system will continue to change. Yu-Gi-Oh I think it's more so acknowledge instead of worry because we've seen with games like Legends Arceus or Legends Yu-Gi-Oh that it does change over time. And so during those moments they wanted something that we could also play to not alienate the players that just wanted that. Yu-Gi-Oh I think is maybe how to understand that. But Yu-Gi-Oh I'm not sure. Makes more sense if it's something like they're acknowledging it versus being worried about the future. I would also argue the physical special split changed the core battle system very dramatically. True. Yu-Gi-Oh true. I would say even that some moves changed the core battle system, at least on a competitive aspect. Like if you're just playing through Scarlet and Violet and you've never touched Pokemon Champions, or you've just played through Sword and Shield and you've never did in the Battle Tower, like when they made the changes from Gen 6 to Gen 7 with tailwind, like that was incredibly impactful on competitive and that was just one move change. But also, even in a game like Scarlet and Violet, the core battle system is different in raids. Like it is the. The timer base thing. Sure. And you people still do not know this, and it's been three and a half years, It's a lost cause at this point. But I think there are players who think they have to go as fast as possible in raids because they're worried the raid boss will keep attacking them or something like that. The reality is the raid boss doesn't attack you until you attack it. And when you hit that button, let's just say you hit like rock slide at that point. It will then go into like the normal battle mode of determining who's faster and then doing that move order. Now there is a timeout system in the battle raid battles. So I think if you don't attack after like 90 seconds, it'll just attack for you. Isn't it quicker than that? It's 90. No. Isn't it like 15 or 20 seconds? Oh, no, it's way longer. You can like, you can wait. You can wait quite a while. Oh, before it. Time's out. Because if. If you brought the wrong Pokemon to a seven star raid, your best option is to actually not do anything. Got it. Okay. Yu-Gi-Oh But even, even in, you know, six seven Star raids, like that's pretty different than the current normal battle system, right? Right. Yu-Gi-Oh Like I would say it's similar. Just like I would say the battle system of Legends Arceus is similar but also like Legends, Arceus had that weird thing where you could unlimit unlimitedly. You could attack unlimited. Unlimitedly. An unlimited amount of times. An unlimited amount of times. Thank you, Bobby. That's why Bobby's on the show. Because you could, you could quick, what was called agile style. Yu-Gi-Oh You could agile style swords dance and then you could strong style quick attack and you could do those in combination forever and your opponent would never get an opportunity to attack. Or like 10 out of 10 battle system right there. Or you could like Aqua Jet or you could whatever the priority move is. Right, right, right, right. Like for the most part you could just do turn based battles, but also you could just incredibly break that battle system. And thank goodness they didn't bring that back. I don't, I don't think one, I don't think that Wins in Waves will be like Za and two, I don't. Gosh, I hope wins and Waves is not like Za because that battle system, that battle system is a three out of five. So better than average six out of ten. I, Yu-Gi-Oh I agree. I, I did. I appreciated the Legends Za battle system for what it was and the fact that they were doing something different. It was fun to, to just do something different. But when it comes down to it and I think about like playing a Pokemon game, I would also hope that Winds and Waves brings back more of a traditional turn based. I mean there, I'm sure there will be some sort of tweaks to it in some way, but I do hope that it is like based on the traditional turn based games that Pokemon games have been for the last nine generations. The, the, the things I hated about a couple things I did disliked about the Za battle system was moves like Dig or Fly and those being literally unavoidable moves which made no sense that you were like running around with. Protect and Protect was supposed to be a time based move. Timing your Protect against a Dig or a Fly would still at least require some skill of learning that timing. And the game just doesn't even give you an option dude to do that. Right. Even though like other moves like an Aqua Jet or something, you could just back your Pokemon up to avoid it. Yu-Gi-Oh but I Goldin ever like there are some moves in that game that were infuriating to play against that that was just annoying. I and I, I think players like the snappiness of the battles and I would agree with that. But after a while like the one shot simulator that that game becomes is just really tiring. And for a game that is like battle heavy. You would hope that there was some variety there because at least in like Scarlet and Violet, I could just avoid those. Like I could. I just. I'm just not gonna battle you because it's just a waste of my time. You're not going to give me anything. But in. In Za, you kind of just have to battle. Right? That's just the thing that the game wants you to do. Yu-Gi-Oh it's the kind of the point of the game. So for a game, that game just turns into like a one shot simulator. Because that's just what you have to do is like, okay, well I have to battle and I want to get it done as fast as possible. So I'm just gonna earthquake everything or I'm just gonna, you know, waterfall everything. Where I do think the game shines is the Mega Battles. Because that's not a one shot simulator. I guess you could just like bring a ni lap in and you could do the trick or treat and you could do the thing and that's fine. You just say you're bad at Pokemon, that's okay. But I think there was like a lot of creativity around that and it did kind of reminisce with the Seven Star Raids of like, okay, I want to prep a Pokemon for this and what would be good and what happens if this one dies? But also like when you do play with Naveen and the other NPCs in that game, you can kind of see of like, oh, instead of Naveen being completely garbage at this game and just getting all his Pokemon knocked out, what if those were like real other players and I brought in a healer and somebody else brought in some like, like a support Pokemon and then other. The other two people were attackers. Like it starts getting closer and closer to the Seven Star Raids and Scarlet and Violet, but even more real time when than those raids are. Yu-Gi-Oh What if I just. I wish those raids were. I wish they were like that. Yu-Gi-Oh exactly. No, I was going to say the same thing. I really think I missed. I. They missed something there with not doing online raids with other people. That way the real people could be garbage instead of Naveen that you're playing with. Yu-Gi-Oh And then we'd have a reason to complain. No, but it would. It would have been fun, I think, to. To have online raids because. Because that was the most. That was the most fun part of battling to me in Za was against those, those Mega Raids. And to be able to do that with other people would have just been really fun. I feel like that would have kept. I mean, I don't know how much the online competitions like kept people or like the online stuff kept people playing the game. Battle royale. The. Yu-Gi-Oh the ZA Battle Royale. I don't know how long that like kept people interested, but I feel like they, they could have definitely kept stuff up if they had like released Mega Raids every once in a while that people join, bring back other megas, things like that. That have been a really fun time. Yu-Gi-Oh I think, I think so too. I and I. The one raid that always stood out to me was that Mega Frost less raid where the ice crystals would drop and you had to hide behind them. Actual mechanics like that, that's so much fun. I wish they would have went harder into that. They could have even made the raid bosses last a little longer just so we had more reason to go in with like a healer or this or that support, whatever, but no luck. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh I do think that was like probably the best part of ZA was, was those, was those raids. I, I do like the. The Game Freak wanted to remove vagueness of move descriptions and probabilities. Game Freak, maybe you should have maybe added some transparency in seven Star Raids and Scarlet and Violet. Because when I watch a Mewtwo in front of me do call mind, I think, oh, the special attack went up plus one and the special defense went up plus one. But in reality when that seven Star Mewtwo was using Calm Mind, it was going to plus six. That's not how it works in your core battle system. That could change over time. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh They're just something I, I think again going back to it felt like no one really actually took the time to learn the mechanics of seven Star Raids. And I kept making seven Star raid videos like trying to teach mechanics and trying to like point out like you don't have to go Zebra fast. You should wait for this. These things combo together if you did it right. And it's just like the general population just wanted to know how to solo it. And I get that if you didn't have like Nintendo online and that wasn't your only option was to solo it that way. But part of that responsibility is on Game Freak because I think if Game Freak communicated things better in seven Star Raids, it would help people learn and understand what's happening. Right. Like a thing that seven Star rates could have done was show what the Pokemon level was before you went in. Like, okay, cool, Austin is bringing Ampharos, but I don't know if that ampharos is level 100. It's not. And if it's level 60, not only do I have to go out of my way to check that after the raid has started, but then if I do check it and I see, Yu-Gi-Oh it's. It's level 67, we have already lost the raid at that point. Right? Yu-Gi-Oh Right. Yu-Gi-Oh And. And I think that is why so many people were like, I'll just do it myself. I don't want to go online. And I think if. If somebody. If this. The 67Ampharos was shown before we all hit. Okay. And the host kept canceling out, I think Austin hopefully would ideally get the. The picture of, like, oh, everyone else is bringing one hundreds and I'm not. And I can't. Everyone keeps canceling on me. Maybe I should bring a level 100. Maybe I really. Maybe we know Austin. He's not bringing level one hundreds. He's never gonna get a new raid. But so I think the. The problem is a lot of people are willing to go through the storyline. A lot of people are willing to play through the entire game because that's primarily why they bought it, right? I would guess a majority of the people buying Pokemon and Scarlet and Violet are buying it to play through the game. Play through the storyline. Then you have these seven Star Raids that come up, and that's fun because it's like something additional to do and you have a chance to get these really good Pokemon and all of that. I think a lot of people are okay with learning stuff within the storyline of the game and kind of following along with that. And then when it moves away from that, they just want the Prizm They don't want to, like, learn something else and then get that Prizm I think. I'm not saying everybody, probably the people that listen to this podcast aren't in that group. No. I think people listening to this podcast are probably a little bit more hardcore than the group of people you're describing, for sure. But I think a majority of people playing it right, A majority of the 28 million people that bought this game are not that way. I think they're like, play through the storyline and then they go into this thing and they just want to one-of-one the raid so they can one-of-one the Pokemon and then call it a day. What I think Pokemon needs to do is, like, involve what's going to happen with those seven Star Raids in the game somehow so that people are learning that along the way so that when that thing comes up, they're not having to learn a completely different way of handling those raids. And I Don't feel like Pokemon does that. Wasn't that like the point of. Okay, you beat the game. Now you have to battle all the gym leaders again. Now you have to do 10 six star raids. And six star raids are level 97 star raids are level 100. Like, they did make you do the. And then after you did. It was. It was like it was what? Do all the gym leaders again do 10 six star raids and then do the Champions cup thing where you battle like the school teachers. Yu-Gi-Oh And then when you do all that, then you unlock seven Star raids or something. Yu-Gi-Oh But I don't know. I still think there's just like, even with doing the six Star Raids, it's like, Yu-Gi-Oh you're doing the raids. I feel like. And I know people don't want more hold handing, hold holding hands, whatever handholding. Don't worry, at the end of the show, we will all hold hands. It'll be fine. Yu-Gi-Oh I know, I know. Want more hand holding from Pokemon when it comes to like tutorials and things. Right. Like, people hate how the beginning of the game can take so long because of tutorials. But I do think there needs to be a little bit more of that when they're going to have people doing these much harder raids outside of the game. And I think do having you do 6, 10, 6 star raids doesn't solve that unless there's more explaining within that. Just having to repeat raids over and over. It's like you're going to eventually push through and like get there somehow. And it's not always going to be in a way that's like strategically the best. It's just. You're just somehow forcing your way through. And then you go into these seven Star raids, think you can use a forcing your way through. And it doesn't work like that. So I still think it's different in that way. I don't know. I don't know what the solution is. I think of doing Mega Star Me yesterday and still seeing people that just did not bring a Mega to Mega Star Me. And the game literally tells you Mega Pokemon. There's also that. Right. You're also just going to get a percentage of people who aren't going to pay attention, aren't going to read, aren't going to listen. They just want to push, literally Mega anything. Yu-Gi-Oh everyone a Mega Beetro for free. Just bring that. You got a. They should just force Mega. Evolve something for the people. How easy are we going to make it though? I know it's. You can only make it so like so easy shift gears here to the Pocopia announcement that was teased for Worlds. This happened after the podcast last week. They said a big. I can't remember what they exactly said. They just said there will be a announcement later this week for Pokemon Worlds in regards to Pocopia. Now Pokemon Worlds is mostly competitive. Focus news. And so they did. They already announced it. There was a pre show earlier this week for Worlds. They announced. Get your mysterious goggles ready. Starting next week on August 28th, you'll be able to explore Pokemon XP and World's Cloud Island. That. That. That was it. That was the news. Cool. I mean, I assume it'll be. Yu-Gi-Oh I think the fact that they're doing anything like this for Pocopia is good. A good sign and shows the longevity of the game and how. Where it's at right now. I think Pocopia is still quite popular. Obviously that the new DLC just came out recently. So I appreciate that they are wrapping this into Pokemon XP in some way because it kind of shows their seriousness of. Yu-Gi-Oh You know, keeping this game going. Especially since we don't have anything coming out this fall. No, we have the. The second part. Oh, you mean. You mean. No, no. Like any. We don't have any new game coming out this fall. So it kind of shows them continuing to push Procopia along and show that in a. In a big space. Yes. So this, this was your Procopia Worlds news. I am sure there are some people thinking that there are going to be Pocopia news after the. The championship matches. And I'm pretty sure this was it. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Unlessopia is joining the World Championships next year, Procopi is not going to have any the. During the closing ceremony. I'm not going to say no to that jump rope trophy. I think I would do pretty okay at that, actually. I can lock in for that. Maybe Bobby and I will be at Worlds. Unfortunately, Austin is not going to be there. Sad times. We'll miss you. It's a. It's a real bummer, but I can't talk too much about my schedule. I can say that. Well, here's your disclosure. I've said the disclosure before. I'll say the disclosure again. The Pokemon company International has paid for my flight, my hotel. They are paying me to be at Worlds. This is actually different. Last year they only paid for my flight in hotel. They are paying me to be at Worlds. So that's, that's cool. I. Part of this is, is, is, is forcing me to work. So I, I will have a pretty busy schedule going into Worlds. I do have two official meet and greets, so the first one is Saturday at 11am Pacific Time. That'll be Creator Zone Area 1 in Exhibit Hall F. I think all the meet and greets are in exhibit Hall F. So I think there's two meet and greet areas. And then on Sunday, I will have another meet and greet, which is at 1 o' clock in Creator Zone 2, which is right next to Creator Zone 1. I don't think anyone's going to be able to mix that up. I think it's pretty straightforward. Both of those are 90 minutes. Last year it was an hour. And they limit. They capped the line at 50 people because they said that one person a minute, that's 50 people in 50 minutes. And then you have 10 minutes of like going over time with some people. We've talked about this before too. They were really weird about not wanting anyone else because of money and because of like, legal contracts. So did I want Bobby and Austin to stand next to me? Yes, of course. Last year, because it like wasn't paid, that wasn't a problem. They were like, Zebra weird this year they also invited over 200 creators last year. Yu-Gi-Oh they did not do that this year. No big change. Big change. There were a lot of creators very upset that they got invited last year, but they did not get invited this year. This is just my opinion. It feels like Worlds is more corporate this year, at least on the back end of like, me communicating and trying to figure stuff out and trying to like, make things work for, for Bobby or Austin or anyone else, it's fine. Maybe you could argue that more corporate is better. I don't know if anyone would actually make that argument. I don't know that anybody really. The people who. The corporate people feel like the corporate people will make it. Right. Yep. To be fair, everyone I've worked with has been great. It's just a lot of like, hey, sorry, we can't do that because of X, Y, Z. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh From what it seems like the people that, you know, we directly talk to do seem like they really try. Right. But you know, sometimes there are decisions that they don't get to make and so they just, you know, have to relay the news, which is a bummer all around. But Yu-Gi-Oh So to Steve's point, I will not be a part of the meet and greet, I will say this. I am gonna be in San Francisco the entire time, but I only have a single day pass. So I'm gonna be in the convention center on Saturday. Steve has his meet and greet on Saturday. So I will probably be around the meet and greet area because, like, during that time. Because they're. Meet and greet. Yu-Gi-Oh So, like, I don't know, as you exit meet and greet, I'll probably be around somewhere. We can just talk if you want to say hi. But Yu-Gi-Oh I one-of-one be at the official meet and greet with, with Steve, and I'm not going to, like, get in line and like, take up a spot. So I don't know if my line is empty. Please get in line and make me feel good. There. There is. There's no interest list for my line. A lot of the Pokemon partners did not have, like, you must sign up for an interest list. Obviously the really, really big creators, like, like Mr. Joe Sarabi, you had to, like, sign up for that early and one-of-one the lottery to meet Joe. Joe's not that great. I've had lunch with him every year. You don't need to meet him. No, Joe's awesome. Hopefully if you did one-of-one your, like, meet and greet, Joe's such a sweet guy. I will say, the last year, the meet and greet line capped before it even started. Like, I got there 15 minutes before the thing started and it was, it was already capped and you could not get in line. This happens every single year because people will watch me for, like, 45 minutes. They'll be like, I didn't get my Pikachu. You will get a timed research, and then you have to do the research. And then when you complete the research, you will then get the Pikachu and that will. Again, any co streamer this weekend. If again, another way to support is just like, leave the stream up all weekend. I'm gonna be pretty much streaming all day Friday, all day Saturday. There's some complications with Sunday, so I don't actually think I can stream the finals on Sunday, which I've streamed the finals every year, but they're in the Chase center, and the Chase center has its own rules. And I could opt not to go to the Chase center and just stream at my hotel, but then this goes back to Pikachu paying for me to be there, which is we want you to be at these certain things because that's why we brought you here. And so I'm still talking with them about that. But let's pretend I'm not streaming on Sunday, because I don't. The answer is looking like a no. It would also, like, I know you. You enjoy doing the streaming, the finals and everything, but you should experience it. Yu-Gi-Oh Especially at the Chase center and the 30th anniversary and everything. I think it is the. It's worth. I think it's worth it for you to experience it. Or even if they did get the opportunity, they can't afford to go to these events. So I really want. It's so different to be irl, watching a stream live and then like a week later getting, like a YouTube recap. Like, they're just totally different experiences. They both have value, but I don't know. And if you stand in my line for the meet and greet on Sunday, the only thing you're probably missing is the Unite finals. So they do show like a Polaroid go camera for 90 and a Polaroid now camera for 130. But they're saying the Pokemon collaboration ones will run around, I think 100 for the go and about 140 for the now. Okay, so about 20 more dollars. Yu-Gi-Oh 20 Pokemon, 20 more dollars, basically, Yu-Gi-Oh So which makes sense. Like I, you know, and then it looks like Polaroid Go film is roughly $20 for 16 shots. And then the NOW film is standard pack is like eight shots and it's about $16. So with the go, it's about $1.25 a photo. With the now it's about $2 a photo. Seems like a lot. A little bit. I mean, Yu-Gi-Oh you're not, you shouldn't be like taking a ton of photos with them. But Yu-Gi-Oh you're also getting physical. You know how film goes. This whole time I thought it was just the type of, like, you get a Polaroid picture. You're thinking of the Band Aid thing. Yu-Gi-Oh Okay. Okay, gotcha. I mean, technically, it's. I think the, like, generic term is an instant camera. Okay. Because you're just instantly getting your picture and then. Right. Especially back in the day when you typically had to go get film developed. This was a way to instantly get your picture rather than have to go develop the film. I see. So I think they were considering instant cameras, but Polaroid was so instrumental in that. I think that that's kind of where it came from. I don't have it on my desk, but yes, I have the same Fujifilm Instax camera that you got, which was the graphi thing before Scarlet and Violet came out. But then they made an Instax mini printer, which exists. You could walk into a target right now and find one. But at one point, there was a collab with Pokemon and they made a Pikachu Instax printer. Okay. So you could put the same film you would put into the camera into the printer, and there's a little Pikachu on it. Well, it was like a Pikachu case. So it really. It was just a white insects printer that you slid into a silicone Pikachu case. Anyways. Okay. That printer would print the same insects Film that the camera would print, but you could print any picture you wanted. So you could like be like Bobby, shoot digitally, move it to your phone, and then from your phone to the printer. Bluetooth, it would print it. So when I do like Patreon Rewards, I would buy a bunch of Fujifilm film to then put into the printer and then I would print like ultimately what you're thinking of a Polaroid picture, but a film picture. Gotcha. Yep. All right. I learned something. So it's. I'm assuming Polaroid has their own version of this printer as well. Sure, probably. Yu-Gi-Oh I'm just. I was just looking up this Grafi Yu-Gi-Oh camera because I don't remember this. Apparently they never actually sold this. It's literally just like it was PR packages that they sent to creators. This is again, this was before Scarlet and Violet where, you know, like I said, they invited like 200 some creators to world last year. They sent out a bunch of these cameras to people and now it feels like they don't invite as many people to events. Slash, not as many people get PR stuff anymore. It's like they. They reduced this billion dollar company reduce the amount of PR they're sending. Yu-Gi-Oh I don't know. But also like they probably have a bigger budget of PR at the start of a. Scarlet, like at the start of a main series game Cycle you know that's true. I would assume so, right? I think so. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh That would make sense. There was no point to like be sending out a bunch of PR stuff three years into Scarlet and Violet being out. Yu-Gi-Oh What is that going to do for the. You know, that doesn't really make sense. Minor. We. We didn't cover this during the world stuff. Just there was a minor TCG card change due to an error. This off Pokemon as well due to an error in the car. Text for Diance, Scarlet and violet. Stellar Crown 86 out of 142. The attack text of Diffuse Reflection will be updated. The original attack text for this Pokemon was. This attack does 40 damage for each special energy attached to all. Attached to all of your opponent's Pokemon. The new card text will be. This attack does 40 damage for each special energy card attached to all of your opponent's Pokemon. Okay, there has to be a reason that this matters. I don't. I. I haven't thought far enough into why. Surely there is ways to get more than one special energy per card. Yu-Gi-Oh So they're trying to just. Right. Okay. Okay. So an easy example would be Double colorless. This attack does 40 damage for each special energy attached to your opponent's Pokemon. That's the original text. You could argue. While a double colorless is two energy. So that's 80 damage. Right. The updated text says each special Energy card. Yep. So now because you're just saying double colorless Energy is a card that's only 40. Okay, so too long. Didn't read. This semi useless Diance card from Stellar Crown is now even more useless. Yes. Yu-Gi-Oh Well, I guess I'll take it all. I'll take all of them out of my deck that I've got in there. Take all four out of your deck? Yep. I spent so much money on those Dancy cards and now I gotta throw them out. Side note, if you're ever curious what happens on my Twitch streams and you're like, maybe I should tune into Steve's Twitch Stream sometime. I was going through my Pokemon cards, as I have been all week, and by going through my Pokemon cards, I found my car registration, Which my plate. I did renew my plates in October of last year. And then they sent the stickers, and then I lost the stickers, and I put them in a bunch of Pokemon papers near some cards. And so I've been driving without the new stickers on my plates since October of last year. Yu-Gi-Oh But I did find them during my stream just in time for them. To get renewed again. Yes, exactly. Did you put them on your car? No, no. They're just sitting in a pile of cards on my. There's put them on your. There's no reason to get like unnecessarily pulled over. That's true. But I think at least in the state of Minnesota, it's registered on their end. So even if I didn't have the stickers, they could look it up and be like oh Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh they should be able to look it up. They would be able to look it up and see that you are registered. But they could still give you a stern talking to. Maybe like a fix it ticket because you don't get your sticker on your on your license plate. That's true. That's true. Like when Destined Rivals came out and in the physical TCG and it was like all the Team Rocket cards. Yu-Gi-Oh I always think that is fun when they do Team Rockets Pokemon. So the set seems cool. I do wonder if. I mean, we see there they do show some of the cards on the website. There was also a trailer for this that showed some of the cards. I do wonder if some of the artwork on the regular cards is original. Like Team Rockets Lapras. I've never seen this artwork before. Right. I've never seen Team Rockets Lapras before. Even Team Rockets Houndour. I don't know that I've seen that artwork before. And there's so few like cards that have a Pokemon with a Team Rocket grunt in them. Right. That I don't know. They might be doing some original ones. I will say there are original cards, like from the regular sets. There are original cards that they've done in the past. Like there's a Regice Regirock and a Reggie Steel that was done by Komiya that weren't in the physical TCG ever. So they have done like original artwork for Beckett like regular cards before. But Yu-Gi-Oh I think that we might see more of that in this. In this set. Okay. I have went through all of Mina Nakoyi's cards on artofpokemon.com and this houndour is new. Nice. Okay. Okay. What is the Hound? So the Lapras. Oh, the Houndour has the Moltres in the background. Yu-Gi-Oh And the Lapras has an Articuno in the background as well. Yu-Gi-Oh So she's done 160 cards. Although, like relicanth counts as two because there's a hollow Relicanth and then a Relicanth. Sure. But yes, there's no. There's no Houndour on this list. Last year we Beckett a studio, it was $480. And then for whatever reason Worlds got delayed. Do you remember when they were like counting down the announcements and then they made the timer longer? Yu-Gi-Oh it was like 20 minutes and then it got down to like six and then they added 30 more minutes to it and on top of that they moved. I think it was Unite Finals were supposed to be Saturday but they moved them to Sunday. So like all of Worlds got shifted by like two hours. Yu-Gi-Oh the whole day of Sunday got shifted by like two hours. So we were supposed to, I think, I think everything was supposed to wrap up at like 5:00pm Yu-Gi-Oh And then I Beckett I Beckett the, the studio for I think like 8, 8 o'. Clock. Yu-Gi-Oh we were like plenty of time, right? Plenty of time. Like three hours. Yu-Gi-Oh we got like 45 minute drive. We got three hours to do it. No problem. And they, they didn't start the final ceremony stuff until what, seven? Yu-Gi-Oh And then we had to get to the car, we had to drive. So we didn't get there till like 9:30. So I had to pay a 200 late fee. Yu-Gi-Oh On top of what we already Beckett And I just, I just can't risk that again. Like the studios are already expensive. But I like, I, I don't mind. I love doing them because they're in person. I think you guys like doing them. It's like one what like maybe two to three times a year we do the studios, I think they're really great. They're just expensive. So to make sure we don't mess up this year, I just did Saturday. There'll be plenty to talk about. But I think like for Worlds announcements, I think it's just probably going to be what like three unit three unite characters. Probably whatever the new regulation in Champions is, which will probably be Mega Mega Salamance, whatever new TCG mechanic they decide to go with. Maybe Delta Species. I wish. Probably not, but that'd be cool. Maybe something can go like a new Cramerant slash Morpeko Go Pokemon. Right. I, I don't think we're getting anything.
