Here's the problem, Jerky. Half these slabs are busted. That got you the last time, so I thought I'd use it again on you. I was just picking the T bone steak jerky out of my. Yeah, he had a little jerky treat between our latest Odd Couple taping and this right here is Extra innings Sports Card Clubhouse. That's what I'm talking about. Get rid of me. They can't get rid of me. I ain't leaving. I love it when you do that. Oh, boy. I have a good feeling we're going to be doing some other impersonations tonight too. We might be. We just might be. So what we're doing on this is we're piggybacking off our buddies, the Hit list. And who's on the hit list? Mike. That'd be our friend. Our friends Coltie, who looks just like Colty from 90 Day Fiance. And by the way, he pulled a smoking hot babe out of there, Larissa, but. And then are the. Our favorite back east chowder head, Matt from Providence. He's not from Boston, where he's from. He's from where they serve lots of chowder. Yeah. And he says, cod. Bald Cod. Baseball card. It's a baseball card. No, Ma. We're big fans of their show. We love. Yeah, yeah, we do. Absolutely. Great. Anyways, they did this thing called the five card draft. Say it in your radio voice there, Petty. Five Card Draft. So we're doing the five card draft. So I'm gonna let Colti and Chowderhead. If y' all haven't watched him, you gotta check them out. But this is them bantering back and forth about. They don't do like. Like, we're very structured. We have an intro song. They don't have one. You know, we. We have, like, topics. We talk. They just kind of go on and ramble. But I Love them, but I love them. But I had to cut their explanation down because they argued the entire time they were trying to come up with the rules. I still can't figure them out. The rules. Do they gotta be a psa? Do they got as an sgc? Is it. What's the grades? Total money value? Is it like what? What is this game? So anyways, let's play it and then we'll talk about what we're gonna do. We are each going to pick five vintage cards. So pre1980 and we will check back in six months to see what happened to the value of the cards in that time. And whoever's cards go up the most in value in six months wins. I don't have card ladder but I have vcp. Can we just do VCP average? Like we just say VCP average. My thought was PSA3. So what happens to the value of a PSA3 over the course of the next six months? All right, that's it. We're going to pick five vintage and we're doing percentages, right? It's not total dollar value. It can't be. Because. Are you going to show this? Because I mean Colti, like he just took every shock card. So right off the list. I mean. Right? Yeah, I'm going to show the list but. Great. I'm going to let Petty go first. But in six months it's actually going to seven for them because we'll give them an extra month. But in percentage it doesn't matter. We'll still beat them. They don't know dick. In six months we're gonna come on and we're gonna do an aggregate team score. We're gonna do it live. We're gonna have the odd couple versus the hit list. We're gonna do a team score and then we're gonna do individual and see who wins. But here is what they pick. So Jake, he just went straight up chalk. He went all the rookie cards of all the big guys, he didn't even give Matt a chance. And then that leaves 10 less cards for us. Yeah. So Jake took the 49 Leaf. Jackie, the hottest card in in cards, the 41, 51 Bowman Jack or Mantle, the hand maze. He took the right off and Aaron. Yeah. And he, he said I'm gonna go on a limb and I'm gonna do the 33 Sports Kings route. Dude, that's going up like crazy. So he went, Ruth Mays, Aaron Mantle, Jackie. Well, I got a surprise for him, bless his heart. Matt goes 55 Clemente love it. Then he goes 39. Play ball. DiMaggio. Hey, that's a rookie. Awesome. Yeah, 63 tops. He went with the, you know, the floating heads. But I like it. I like his thing. I mean I like. Even though I liked. I don't really like the card, but I like the idea of, you know, it's a rookie card and I like the 64 better. If I wasn't playing this for a game, it was on my list. It's a good choice. I think it's going to pay off. The white letter Mantle. Now that one that's playing the lottery because it's got to be a PSA3 in a 7 month period there may not be a PSA3 sale, but if coming out years ago and then one sells right before, we're gonna know he bought it first off. But. And that white letter Mantle has been going up pretty high. Yeah, rare, man. And then the 14 Cracker Jack, Eddie Sakat. Eddie, Eddie, it. That one PSA3 is kind of a high grade for 14. But you never know, man. One might sell. Yeah. And if it does, he's gonna, he, he may win just by doing his strategy. So. Yeah, he picked like two really good cards there at the end. I got nothing like that. So. Petty, I'm gonna give you the first pick. And that's nice of you. I kind of wanted to play a game or do some kind of a singing competition for it, but you just said that. Give the old guy. Give the old guy a chance. Hey, you know, we here in the south, we're taught to respect our elders. And so, you know, I'm gonna let you go first. I'm going right to the top. Right to the top. 64, 000 question there, Norton. Here's the thing. I know what you're doing. Do you? I think I do. You don't know. You think I'm zigging when you're gonna zag? My first one's gonna be a big surprise for you. No, it ain't. I know exactly what you're fixing today. Really? Yeah, go ahead. All right. You don't know. No, I'm not. I'm. I'm gonna change. Well, there's not going to be any Ken griffeys from the 1980s because. No, I'm just saying if you're. And you got a can't miss dude like just sitting there, you're gonna draft. I can't miss dude like Mickey Mantle Number 7. Mickey Mantle Number which one? Well, that's the question. I Think I'm gonna go right out of the gate with my number one pick. And I'm gonna pick the 1954 Wilson Franks Ted Williams. No way. Oh, yeah, off the board. I had that one. You had it. That's the problem. Yeah, that was a tough one there. Jerky to take. I know that was a tough one. But that's a. One of those cards that's just. It's already screamed up the charts. Yeah. One of the most beautiful cards. But if you've seen what Ash is asking, he buys them for 30 and sells them for 60. Yeah, he'll bid you right up into the gutter and then he'll take it down and double the price on you. I mean, three months into this, all you gotta do is talk to Ash and say, hey, dude, dude, I'm behind. They don't count. You pump these cards. The other thing is, is like his private sales don't count. No. So a lot of these sales that get, you know, behind the scenes are going to get pushed away. We don't know if they'll ever. I really don't know if one gets sold, you know, in six months, so that's a chance. But anyway, let's hear what you got. That ain't where I thought you were going. So I'm. I'm going with my pick. All right. And it's one on the Mount Rushmore. Now, they talked about it, but said that they were going to pass because it's already so high, they don't think it can go higher, man. People been saying that since the 80s. And I'm going with the 1952 tops. Mickey Mantle. Really, Evan? Mickey Mantle? Yes. That is my number one pick. It's a lottery pick. It's a no brainer. The card is going through the roof, Ed. Wow. So absolutely, that one's gonna pay off for me in a big way. So that's what I think. Yeah. That's a hard, hard one. Believe it or not, it wasn't on my list. It was not on your list? No. I mean, but that's this kind of card. You're right. Because a PSA3 comes up. Like there's gonna be some big ranges if one comes centered. If a center, bing bong, bing, hard ladder. Potential value. That's right, potential. Don't forget, it's vcp. It doesn't. Potential value doesn't count. All right, so I'm number two then, huh? Yep. And it forced me to do something average, so. Forced me to do something I didn't want to Do George. Oh, I'm scared. So sure, I'm gonna go with another one that I think is a blue chipper, and in my mind I can't miss. And it is the 1952 tops, Jackie. My third pick. Now you forced me to do something I didn't want to do, Rabbit. Oh, I feel pretty good about my 1952 tops going up to the moon. So, yeah, we got. I feel good about it. So we're two picks in. Two or. Actually, we got four picks. So we got four. Excellent. I should have taken that Jackie, but I didn't want to follow you after the. Because that was my next card. Would you have taken the Dandy if I took the Jackie? No. Yeah. You waste. I mean, it's. That's. That's the game we play right here. You got it. You got either take 52. I didn't think you'd take the best wishes. Yeah. I'll tell you, this is worse than a fantasy football draft. Now you throw me off my game. All right, so then, I mean, I am gonna go right to the. I'm gonna go straight to the. Another car that's already doubled in the last six months, and that's the 49 bowman Jackie Robinson. I. I had that on my list. I mean, you forced me to take the gear down big shifter, so I got to take the ugly Bowman car. Do I. I never liked those Bowman cards. When I finally learned to like them, I couldn't afford them. Yeah. You know, like you always say, buy what? Buy what you don't like. Buy what you don't like. Buy what you can't afford. That's a dude. Buy it on a HELOC while you're out. Yeah, just. Just get a home equity line of credit card. I don't need a roof. I need a Jackie Robinson fake patch with a button. Yeah, and I'm not going to tell my wife. And we're not going on vacation. Dear Hygienic, I thought. I thought David Chase was going to come unglued being a mortgage broker. But anyways, so. Well, yes, the last thing you want to do. But like Jeremy said, boy. And I mean, if I look If I were to put all my money into baseball cards instead of paying my house off with. I know. I know people who have, like. I mean, fu. Money. I'm talking, like, million. I mean, millions and millions and millions. Multi. Millions. And they still owe money on their house. Yeah. And they're. They're in their 70s because they've put all that. They've leveraged all that money into the stock market or they. They made tons of money. And I could have done that too. I just sleep better at night when I don't have a mortgage. The guy's gonna work all summer and he's gonna pay that off. And I hope it doesn't rain wherever the hell he's at and he doesn't need a new roof. No. All right, so that was a good pick. Yeah, yeah, it was an excellent pick. Glad you liked it. What do you got? I'm gonna go, man, this is tough. Another 52 maze you got. I mean, you might as well go all tops. No, I'm not doing that. All right. I'm gonna go with the 1968, tops. Nolan Ryan rookie card on my list. I really. Ryan. Ryan has been. He's been on an uptrend. Hot as hell. I mean, I. I might have picked even the 69, 71. They're. I mean, the 71 is just being that I've been buying them. I mean, because remember his percentage, the same dollar amount. So, like, from, you know, like the fours, they went up from 80 to 160 to. Now they're 200 right now. Yeah. So you could pick any, but the three kind of did it. Did it in for me for the 60s cards. But the 68, Ryan is still affordable, and I think that's a great pick all together. All right, I'm just gonna go the next chalk pick, and I'm gonna say the 1955 Sandy Koufax. Oh, that's a. Anytime you can do a rookie card. Yeah. And, you know, the. The Clementi was already taken. The. I'm happy to get that in the fourth spot. And I hate to say it, but if Mr. Koufax dies, like, I was thinking the same thing. He isn't, but. But if you've seen that guy lately, I don't want him. I know, I know. He's 90 or something. I think he's a man. That dude has hands there the biggest. Looks great, though. He hasn't aged. He hasn't aged in the last 10 years, probably. Right. We can only hope to be as live a life like that guy. Has, man. Some of these pictures I've been seeing lately, paying attention to these type ones and stuff. It's got him in his mind up and he's. Know how he took the ball down. The ball was. His hand was right by the dirt. Like he came way back. His hand. That ball looks like a golf ball in his hand. So, you know, it's crazy. And you know, he. And he. And he retired, you know, in 1966 with a sore arm. Had they had any kind of surgeries back then, he might have, you know, still pitched. He probably had another five years left in him, at least as a career. But they said that he might never ever lift his arm again. Yeah. And so like he said, yeah, not worth it. You know, I'm done after the, like one of the best seasons of all time. So. But a great pitcher. And I, you know, I wonder what will happen with his cards when he does unfortunately pass away. Like Maze. It. His cards actually went down was the first time because people have just kind of been building up and trying to, you know, running his cards way up and. Yeah. With the idea of dumping them when he died. Right. And that's what they did. It flooded the market. And he's starting to make a little comeback now. I mean, he's not on any of our lists yet, but no. So I don't know. I don't really. I don't think I have them listed here. The. The 52s down here. And I'm thinking I'm not going to have to use them. So I gotta put Tyrus Raymond Cobb on. Really? Really. So the question is, which Tyrus Raymond do I put on there? Is it going to be the T206 Cobb Red Portrait or will it be the 1914 Cracker Jack tie cob? Which one's going? Or could it be the 1915 since they sell a little more often? So that's a tough one. The 1909 T206, though, you're going to get a lot of sales of that in a PSA3. And those cards have been going up. If you look at the ladder they've been climbing. You know, they were way up after the pandemic. They took a little bit of a dive and now they're right back to where they were a little bit higher. I think the T206 portrait is the safer. But who wants to be safe in this? I mean, you're only gonna. I don't. I don't. I mean, you could have taken the T206 Honus Wagner the one with the sock. The TA Cob. The. The. The 1914 Cracker Jack TA Cob with my number four pick. Wow. I don't have anything that smart in my. I'm a big fat loser in this thing. No, you're not. I mean, you got the Nolan Ryan, the Cracker Jack, Cobb. I got nothing, dude. I mean, I've got a lot. I've got a lot of small dog. I was thinking small potatoes here. I'm thinking percentages in these cards. Be honest with you. All right, so what's. What's your final pick? Are you gonna go out there and. And. No. Do a Hail Mary? Are you going safe? I should do a Hail Mary. I'm gonna go Hail Mary on my last one. I'm just. Yeah, well, I, I. What I wanted to do was a 1953 or a 1956 number seven Mickey Mantle. Number seven. Because the 56 mantle is just a premium, beautiful card, sells a lot. I think that's right. In a price point that will go up. The 53 mantle is in a price point. My latest pickup, by the way. Not to. But we do want to show. I've seen it. Look at the. Look at them. Look at the loops. Look at the loop de loop. Is it. Look at how this. Is it fake? No. And look at how it's touching his shoulder. It's like he fits it. That is just. Oh, God. He knew how to find it. He could sign anything, that guy. That is just. I think he was a better signer than he was a player. I don't know about that, brother. He was pretty good. He was pretty good. Yeah. All right. I mean, you've got so many cards that I wanted to get on here. Tick tock, tick tock. All right, I'm. I could go to the 59 home run derby of the failed TV show because I love them, and I know if one did sold, it would be just monstrous. But I haven't seen a PSA3 forever. I didn't check comps or pops or nothing. So I'm just gonna go. I'm gonna go with the 1953 Mickey Mantle. What the hell? That's a good pig, man. I mean, I could have picked the Red Heart, could have picked the 56 mantle. They're still out there. You're talking about the 53 tops, right? I'm 53 tops. Mickey mantle. Yeah. All right. Mickey Mantle. Mantle. Now, let's see what your last one is, and then we'll talk about the cards that didn't make. All right. I'm throwing a Hail Mary. This is one of those Matt from Providence picks. It can either hit big or it doesn't. Even one doesn't sell. I don't know. But I'm going with. And I got to show you which one so we make sure. This is totally. I have a picture. I'm going with another Jackie Robinson card. And this is going to be the 1947 Jackie Robinson bond bread from the set of 13. The portrait with the facsimile auto. That one. That is the card I am picking that card. It's in a PSA3. I mean, that's a similar to my Mickey Mantle or my Willie Mays and a home run derby three or the Seacot in his three. I mean, it's a Hail Mary card, is his true rookie. Along with the clipped corner Bond bread card, those are his only 2:47 releases. And if the hobby will finally get on board with the way, don't forget the spooky thrills. And you know, that card's double. That's a 48 though. I thought it was 47. No, it's 48. Okay, 48. Along with the blue tent, those are two 48 releases. Okay. And then we got the 49 leaf. Yeah, we didn't pick that. I mean. And I have that threes. Did he? Coltie picked it. Yeah. I didn't realize he picked. That was his number one pick. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. 49 leaf. That's no wonder. It wasn't on my list. And. And nobody took the, you know, the best card, which was the Satchel page. I wanted to take that. But then the chances of that selling. I should have picked the 53 satchel. That one's going. It is. But could you imagine, could you imagine, though, if that Leaf satchel sold in a three? Oh, God. Yeah. You know, when that gets up, they just don't sell more than what, you know. Again, that's a Hail Mary and I didn't put any hill. I'm trying to win this thing with a five card money. I'm gonna. Yeah. You know, and you guys are trying to hit home runs and I'm trying to hit line singles. I mentioned the Red Heart Mantle, another one that was mentioned on Jeremy Lee and fake Vince Fonz's show the other night. They've been drafting cards, you know, for just for fun. Nothing like this. Yeah, that's right. But one of the cards that was on There was the 1954 Bowman Ted Williams. So it's funny how all these cards came up And Ted Williams came up into my mind more so than even the Mickey Mantle, you know, the Ted Williams Leaf, the 54. Bowman, Ted. So those were other. Other cards on my list. And what else. What other cards did you have on your list that didn't make it? I had the T206. Cob Red. Yeah, I had. I had the 69, tops. Ryan, if you picked the 68. Me, too. I had that on my list, too. But then I knew that it was. I think that's. That's one of my favorite cards. So, like, between that, like, if we did. If it was like a PSA 7 or something like that, I would have. I would have went with the 69. Ryan, the 64. Rose. I had the 52. Bowman mantle. That one's been going up like. Yeah. And I had a 33. Gowdy Ruth. I was gonna go card one. Me, too. Because especially the threes, they've gone up. I mean, they're 20, 000 before you blink now. I know. It's insane. So, yeah, there's a lot of things a lot of people could have. We could have been had a lot of. Right. So we got it again. We got an individual title, and then we got a team title. They don't know we're doing teams yet. We just announced that live here. Right. Sports Car Club. How? Well, I am fired with enthusiasm to be on your team. Team.
