I thought you were going to say college football season's begun. Unfortunately, our San Jose State Spartans lost to the USC Trojans, Stanford 1. Stanford did one-of-one on the farm. Yu-Gi-Oh that's all I'm paying attention to. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh I mean I heard. I think Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Steve Young all coming out of retirement. All these old guys coming out of retirement now. So better. You guys are so sad. No, I'm actually glad we play. We play you guys. Week one. He's. There's no way he's going to be 100% form. No way. There's been 20 teams. Okay. There's been 20 NFL teams over the last 25 years that have been plus 500 favorites, meaning supreme favorites to one-of-one the Zebra Bowl. Do you know how many of those teams have one-of-one 0. So it's kind of like a death nail to the, to the cost. When you're that famous bad. When you're that favored, it's a lot of pressure on your team. It's the greatest defense ever assembled. Well, we'll see the greatest defense ever assembled. Well, there's the greatest 1949ers, greatest franchise. So. Man. Yu-Gi-Oh 80s back 80. I still can't get over that video of him lifting up the water jug. Of course it's a green Kaboom as it as it feels like it often is it's a PSA8. Yu-Gi-Oh there you go the black Friday night which terrible quite a come up in 4 years actually not that crazy about $2000 more sold for 28k and or about just 29k in April 16th of 2022 now a 30k card so about what's that what's that tops now Superfractor oh God inscribed I don't know I'm back gonna sell for probably probably too much 40 40,000 the biggest Aaron Donalds it will it it will be it might be it will be described it my back because he's not Going to. He's not going to play very long. It's hurt. His back's hurt. His back's hurting. Yu-Gi-Oh So carrying that last. Coming from franchise. Coming from the franchise that is right next door to the substation. It's just all speculation. If you want to wear a tinfoil hat. I mean, I wouldn't do it around there. No, no. Chris Brown came out, played three or four songs and then they actually mixed in the openers in the middle of the set. Yu-Gi-Oh you can't. I know you have instruments. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean you can do that with. I mean you can do that with pop acts. I don't. With a full band that would be. Be tough to do. You'd probably have to have two stages. But it was like just non stop hits. And it was like. Because I was like, oh, Mario's supposed to play. Well, Mario played at like 10:30 to give them a break to. Before they do the encore. So it wasn't even an opener. Not really. There's a DJ that opened it and then they had their supporting acts mix in and I think on Saturday at E40 come out. But like they. It was like this is Zebra unique. And then like Mario only had two songs, so. Only played two songs. Only had two hits. Right. Just played it right. And then they went back into Chris Brown. I was like, Yu-Gi-Oh this was. This is very creative. Right? Very creative. Don't take your kids to the show. But you know, it's. It's. Oh well, no. The Usher. You know, I saw those videos from the Vegas residency. So Yu-Gi-Oh that's a. That's a little bit more tame than the Vegas residency. But there's some moments where you. He pulls some ladies on stage. Yu-Gi-Oh So. But let's get back into sports cards Fanatics Collect is taking over auctions. So this new judge, Dual Logo man, Back to back MVPs just sold for 900k by Fanatics Lives. Own breaker Big Bodega Carl. Carl Anthony Towns is now the proud owner of this card. And I mean, I guess it's fitting he plays for New York Right. Plays for the Knicks. He's now got a Yankees card in his PC. Didn't know he was into these kind of high level cards. What do you guys think? I think it's certainly a big push for that. Him basically staking his claim of like, hey, I'm an athlete, I can get this type of premium card and I'm going to add it to the collection of this new venture. So. And where else should it live but New York I guess is. Is the way is the thinking. Right. I think we were talking about that card at one point. We were trying to figure out what it was going to go for. And I didn't think 900, 000. I think that is higher than a, than all of us were guessing. I think 100. I think we were thinking like 400, 000, 500, 000, maybe 600, 000. I, I don't think we were. Any of us were near a million. No. Right. Because unlike Ohtani, he just inscribed one side. Right. Ohtani signed the kanji and then signed regularly. This guy just put back to judges. I mean Judge is not Ohtani when it comes to the, when it comes to the market. Right, the hobby market. I mean Ohtani is on an island of his own, but Yu-Gi-Oh he's number two. Judge is clearly the number two. And I guess what, how much did bar drop from Ohtani to Judge? But how, how much did the other Ohtani, the, the duel, the Kanji auto one go for 11 million? Is that what it was? Right? 1111. But there you go. I mean that shows you that yes, this card is nearly a million dollars. Exactly the point I'm trying to say. But a massive golf. Yu-Gi-Oh Wait, so based on that Otani from a collector standpoint is 11 times greater than Aaron Judge. Yu-Gi-Oh Which is nuts. Now does that card, if say that card, that Otani card goes for 4 million is now the judge like a 3 to 400. Like the 10 of that card regardless, I think so I do think that the price on the Otani at 11:5 or whatever. 11:5. I think what it was, I think that absolutely increased the price of the Aaron judge. But Yu-Gi-Oh 100%. And then what's even crazier is the 2025 Dynasty Otani logo, man. No, no gold one. Just a regular old 1.11 million one like a little bit over 1. Over a million 1.1. It joins the million dollar card club which to me says. Because look, and I'm not saying that it's 2025 season wasn't historic, but this wasn't the 50, 50 year he did one-of-one a World Series. He one-of-one another mvp. But down here, down year, down year. I know. Look, you know what I mean? Quote unquote. But like, is this just the baseline for Ohtani Logo Mans? Like, they just. Are these just automatic seven figure cards? Like I. This. This kind of tells me. Yes, they kind of are. Like, did Jalen Brunson buy the other one? Did he buy the. Yu-Gi-Oh maybe. I know, right? So what. I mean, what does the. What's the 2018 dynasty one of one go for the biggest card of all time? I mean, I mean, we got to check. Did he have a logo man that year? I don't know if he had it. That's why I said one of one, because I don't know if he had a batter silhouette, but he definitely had a one of one. Right? I know. We pulled one. I want to say it was from Definitive. Yes. C Rad pulled it. Yu-Gi-Oh C rap hold one out of definitive. Out of the 20, though. I believe it was 21 or 22. So is that a million dollar card or are we holding Dynasty? I mean, is Dynasty the one that's held in this kind of regard now? Or. I mean, because. Well, the dual logo man's at Topps Chrome. Right. So that's. That set of. Well, Dynasty, I think would be considered a higher. A higher end product because it's a one. It's a one card product. But where do you put Transcendent in there? Transcendent. The secondary. Secondary market has never really done what Dynasty does for the individual cards. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, it's. It's crazy. These numbers are crazy and they never cease to amaze us. It keeps going up. I mean, I guess a couple of the questions we have here is should auction houses like Goldin and Heritage be worried or ready to pivot away from sports card auctions? Because it doesn't seem like they're even getting some of these bigger auctions. I mean, granted, they're getting some big ones. We see the 500 to a million dollar sales, but like, these very pivotal Tops Fanatics cards are going right to Fanatics. Yu-Gi-Oh I'm glad you said the Tops cards because, like, if I'm not mistaken, was it Alt that sold the celebrity? Yes. No, the Goldin The. It was Goldin Okay. That gold outburst was Goldin Okay. So that was. That was Goldin Yep. I want to say ultrasold something that was not the double check, but Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, they have that Mickey Superfractor up there for 20 million but it's just an asking price, right? Yu-Gi-Oh I mean it, it is kind of wild to see this. This happened with two of the premium baseball cards of the last couple of years as we are now just days away. In fact I think as we record this tomorrow or if you're listening to this today, the, the premier patches will the Premiere Collect. A Fnatic Collect auction goes live with the Dylan Harper debut patch, the Cooper Flag debut patch and the Concannapel debut patch amongst other probably huge cards that are in that lot as well. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean let me ask you guys this. Do you think the portfolio of high end clientele that Fanatics Collect has. I mean let's also remember that they were PWCC. So there was a client list prior to what 2022, 2021 when Fanax collect became to be. They basically purchased PWCC, kept a lot of their staff and just rebranded it Fanatics Collect and they use the facilities at pwcc. So my question is maybe Fanatics has a big portfolio like a Carl Anthony Towns that they can say hey there's an auction you might want to, you know we can help you bid on this or something like that. Do you think that factors into some of these big sales? This is crazy to have somebody kind of come on. I mean Goldin in 2020, 2021, 2022 up until about the last few years have been the place and now we're seeing less and less cards go. We've seen the alt come in and get some of these sales too. I still feel like the, the older stuff like the like of a nice mantle comes up. I feel like it goes to Goldin If an MJ Fleer 10 I feel like that goes to Goldin Any exquisite Jordans or LeBron's it tends to go to Goldin Yu-Gi-Oh it just seems like and I don't know why, it just seems like the modern cards that are coming out of Topps products are primarily going to Fanatics Collect. I will say in this most recent auction there is some vintage stuff. There was a 84 Jordan PSA 8 star rookie. There's a. Never heard of that card. There's a FLIR Jordan PSA8 heard of that one that with an auction that also, that also went up a dual Jordan Kobe Bryant Exquisite number to 10 also part of that. So. But, but I do, I think overall you're right. I think like the biggest modern top stuff is almost exclusively finding its way onto Fanatics Collect. And again this isn't a place where we're gonna make grand Conspiracy theories or anything but like Fanatics has to be aware of what the modern consumer, what the modern collector, what the regular collector is thinking when they see this of just like, oh, everything's going to them and everything is running through them. It's a one stop shop, which is what they also want. They want to be a one stop shop. So maybe they're like, Yu-Gi-Oh that's, that's what that was. The whole point that was the entire business model is that we want to be the place that makes the cards. We want to be the place where you buy the cards. We want to be the place where then you go and bid for the cards after they've been pulled for millions of dollars. And I think, you know, as, as we get past this subject here and we talk a little bit Bowman Chrome and some of the other stuff that's coming out like the top samurai stuff is maybe there is some value in the fact if you look at all these, they've all been redemptions, right? They've all been pack pulled redemptions because you can't pull them. You know, put a thick card in the pack or maybe the athlete didn't sign it. So maybe it's just, maybe some of these customers are like, well I don't want to have to get this in the mail, right? And maybe that's the value add here. I mean I haven't talked to anybody that sold this large of a card to see if like the percentage, what it is compared to Goldin I know alt gives a lot of money up front and they've, that's what I've heard is they give a lot more money to get these cards up front than Goldin does. But Goldin has obviously a longer track record. But I wonder if it's just like, well, I don't want this card shipped from tops. I have to somehow get it. I mean maybe, maybe you can arrange, I mean at that price point you're probably going to go try to fly out there, maybe that's an option. But then you're going to have to like fly to them, get the card and then fly to Goldin which is an expense. I know it's not a huge expense if you're talking about a five to $10 million card. But maybe the ease of maintenance, it's just like they're having this PSA submission center, right? The only value add that we have for the PSA submission center is that customers can give the cards to ship to PSA directly to PSA in our shop and they don't have to Deal with the mail. And there's a lot of horror stories out there about packages being stolen or damaged and things like that. Maybe, maybe that is the huge value add that they have 100%. I think also there's something and something too about like, oh, what about the, like, you know, the Rolodex of customers and stuff that they have. But there's also for Fanatics side, the, you know, the familiarity of like, why does a Carl Anthony town say oh, I'm gonna go in on this because well, he's probably been doing stuff with Fanatics his entire career. There's familiarity there. And if you are someone from the outside or if you're somebody who's maybe not as in tune with all of the big auction house options, but you do know what Fanatics is. If you've been to any sporting event, you know what Fanatics is and that's what the Blue Ice And like you said, it's the ease of like, well look, we can do it. You know who we are, you know our name. You see it when you go to every single stadium across the country. And we can just do everything all in house, you know, or all within, you know, under our roof. Even if it goes wherever, you know what I mean? Yep. Yu-Gi-Oh Something, something to. Something to think about. Yu-Gi-Oh When you get to the tax bracket of Carl Anthony Towns too, I'm sure there's some, some, some tax saving tips by buying a 9,900k card. I don't claim to be a CPA, but I'm sure there's a way that if he owed that kind of money he could just buy a card like that. I don't know. That's all I'm saying. I don't know. I don't know. Falls as an asset. I don't know. I don't know. I'm not a cpa, but I get what you're saying. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh there's, there's some ways that I'm sure people figure that out. Topps Chrome Samurai revealed as its first all Japanese team set featuring Ohtani Ichiro Muneteka Murakami and more. Shohei Otani and Asada Hair O Dual Superfractor Auto revealed as the top chase. And it looks like it's the tops online only. So we'll see who's into that. It was an online only. Pretty. Looks like it's going to be a quick grip but just another like hey, let's get Ohtani in a product. Although with this checklist, very, very impressive checklist. I just want to see. Hopefully we get more of these WBC sort of themed sets for other teams. I understand why Japan is first given the amount of star power and of course Mr. Shoy Ohtani on there, but I know those sold out pretty damn fast. Team Italy with a little jack cat. Let's do it. I would love a Team Italy set. Get a, get a relic of the espresso machine in there. I would love it. And then tops announced that 2026 Bowman football will be the first ever pro and college officially licensed NFL cards. Well, NFL and NCAA cards. After seeing this model used in Bowman basketball, are you guys a fan of it or should it be separate? Well, I mean, hard to compare the college basketball fan and collector to the college football fan and collector, but we did see that. I don't think the community really took to it very well on the basketball front. No. So I do believe it's going to perform a little bit better in football, but I still believe that generally most collectors would like their collegiate products and their pro products separate. I tend to think that as well. I mean, you one-of-one have, you know, they had the women's collegiate in basketball. There's not a women. As far as I know, there's not a women. I wonder if, I wonder if there'll be a lot of like, maybe nil high school phenoms that are going to be in, in these products. I don't know because I think they have to have all these licenses on there and it'll be interesting to see if call the colleges are okay with the high school athletes. Right. I think that's like a leaf thing. But, or, or if it's a licensing deal that they can just work out with the individual. Possibly. But if you looked, I remember looking at the back of a Bowman basketball box and it must have had like seven or eight different licensing stickers on there. Yep. Right. Because they had to cover all of the. The ncaa. And does this mean everything? The end of standalone collegiate products going forward? Are we not going to get Bowman Chrome U or Bowman Best you? I think so, but I think football definitely carried its weight. I mean, football came out because it was like, you know, remember years ago, it was, you know, it was Fernando Mendoza's first auto and it was, you know, it was. Who's the kid from Florida? DJ Lagway. You know, he had a popular auto in those sets because it was their first Bowman. Yu-Gi-Oh I, I feel like it's separate. Like, I, I don't know. I do know some people that are Both college and NFL fans. But it's like. I don't know, it's kind of like to me, it's. It's. I gotta see it and I gotta go live through it. Which we will see here soon enough to see how I really like it. Because, you know, Eagles fans don't want a Notre Dame auto or, you know, I wonder if it's gonna be the same configurate with three autos. Three autos per box. Is that. Is that what it was for basketball? I think so. And then it depends on the hobby or the jumbo variety or however Breaker Delight or however they, you know, format it. But I will say, I think the one thing maybe football has going for it, that basketball, when you think about. And I mean, I know there's a legacy of Bowman basketball going way back, but like, if you go back in the last 25, you know. Well, now she's 26 years. One of the biggest modern football cards is the Tom Brady 2000 Bowman. So I think there's maybe. Yu-Gi-Oh but that was only NFL. Yu-Gi-Oh right. There was no, There was no collegiate in that product. That was just. Just a. Just. Now, they have had sets back in the day where it's. I'm trying to remember the year, but it was like, oh, maybe like Calvin Johnson, like 2007 Bowman, where it was like, you know, you had like Barry Sanders and then Lions one-of-one but you had Calvin Johnson, he was in his college one-of-one but it said Lions. Right. Because they didn't have enough time. It was an early release where they didn't have enough time to get the photos in there, but they had enough time to put the name of the team. But they were in the college unions. I've seen that, but I've never seen these two, you know, mix where it's going to say, you know, who's the kid? Yu-Gi-Oh because the kid from Notre Dame. Because it would say, he's going to be honest. It would like Calvin Johnson, it would say Detroit, but it would be pictured in wherever he went. Did you go Georgia Tech, something like that? Yu-Gi-Oh but it wouldn't have Georgia Tech on it. And I wonder if, like, I mean, that was a long time ago. I wonder if like the logos were. I think they were. You can just tell it. You can tell it just wasn't a Lions jersey. Correct. It was like orange or something. It was completely different. Black and black and gold. I believe so. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh in on that. And then, you know, Cody's got the chance, you know, as we talk about Bowman Chrome, which is coming out next week. Yes. And there's, there's, you know, if you're not a prospect collector, you can see right here on the screen, there is SH Otani, there's, there's going to be some GPK autos of SH Otani in there as well. But this kid, Luis Hernandez, 17 years old, the number one chase right now in the product. What have you seen you get, you get to cover the San Jose Giants. What have you seen Luis Hernandez. So Yu-Gi-Oh he's, he hasn't played the last few games, but from what we did see, the fact that he, you know, you see him and you're like, I can't believe this guy is 17. Literally game one in San Jose. He made a play at third base. It might still might be the play of the year. Like it was looked like, like a prime young Manny Machado, when he was still as good as anyone at third base, was able to almost in foul ground, like picks it backhanded, stumbles into foul ground and makes a leap throw over to first base. I'm like, oh Yu-Gi-Oh Like I feel like that's the one thing you know that you can tell pretty quickly is this guy gonna be, is this guy gonna do something? I feel like defensively you can always tell if they're like already looking like major league players are like making major league style plays in the, in the infield or in the outfield. That's a pretty good indicator of like, all right, they, they've figured that part out. So now you just gotta develop the bat and you gotta figure things out. Say how it has his power number. I was gonna say can. He still needs to develop some power, but he has had some big home runs. In fact, his very first pro swing was a grand slam. But that was back at the Arizona Fall League or the Arizona Rookie League, I should say. But Yu-Gi-Oh has shown off some power for sure. So it's very exciting. He is of all of the international prospects who have a first moment in here, he is pretty far and away the highest ranked of all of those prospects. I believe he's the 27th ranked prospect in Major League Baseball court. Moby.com at 17 years old. Yu-Gi-Oh Pretty. The future, the future's bright on top of that. And then to have it, you know, last year Josue Gonzalez was. Current times, not so much. Yu-Gi-Oh 18 years old. Joe Swargons else was the guy last year and I believe he's like the 15th ranked prospect in all of baseball already at just 18 years old. So I don't know where I saw this, but I, I don't think it was an employee of the shop, but it was definitely somebody that lives around here. They brought a Joe Suare Auto, like a, like a blue or something like that or a Refractor. And it was already signed and they had him sign it again. And I was like, oh. Like they had him put like an inscription on it was like a different pen. And I was like, what are we doing? It's really excited about Jo Far. Yu-Gi-Oh So I was like, I think we might look great. He looks really, really good. He's, he's, he's, Is he in San Jose? He is, Yu-Gi-Oh San Jose is in the playoffs right now. They're going to go to the playoffs next week. Yu-Gi-Oh So it's, it's exciting times that the top two Bowman Chrome prospects, both with the San Francisco Giants organization back to back years. And they're both in San Jose. They are both in San Jose. I do believe Luis Hernandez is the youngest player in minor league baseball right now. Well then you also have. Was it ANGBEL Gomez who's 17 years old for the Royals? He's a 6 foot 2. Is he a center fielder? They, Yu-Gi-Oh there, there's a lot of hope in the Royals organization that he's already. Yu-Gi-Oh already 6 foot 2 at 17 years old. So they're hoping he could develop some more power with that frame. Good. Great defender at center field. A lot of center fields and shortstops. That's the way it is with, you know, with the young prospects and then they'll find a position somewhere else. Like I think Luis Hernandez, shortstop technically, but he's mostly played third base early on in his career. Phillies have a center fielder, Francisco Renteria. Any relation? There's no relation to Edgar. I did look it up as far as I could tell, no relation to Edgar Reteria.
