A Michael Jordan 1998 finals game three jersey has come to auction. They're anticipating 10 to 15 million dollars. The owner of said jersey has said $100 million. Jordan's the hottest certain entity in the entire hobby. He's my favorite player of all time. He's the greatest player of all time. It's worth more than $10 million. I think if it goes for 10 to 12 million, I will be absolutely shocked. And I think it's going to go for higher. Every sport and every and every merchandise. He is just a continent to himself. There's nothing better than when someone who's a billionaire and they're like, I bought that. And, like, flex that. That's ego. And that's someone who's like, I'm going to be known. You'd be really flexing if you wore it yourself, wore it on a pickup game in the city. It is a flex, and it's an amazing piece. I'm Ryan Alford. And I'm Bella Schaefer, and this is Collector. We are curating all of the content in the hobby just for you, all in one place. All the videos, all the podcasts, all the reels, all those drops you want right here, right now. What's up, guys? Welcome to Collector Nation. You got Ryan, Brian, and Bella. Hello, B. Diddy. What's going on, brother? Not much. Just enjoying the nice weather in Chicago post national meetings. Yu-Gi-Oh just, you know, every day doing my thing. Every day is a Loadex holiday. It's a holiday. What's going on? What's going on at Collector Station? Oh, we had our fourth live selling last night. Um, we switched it up, so now we're doing sports Sundays and then TCG Tuesdays, which really appeases my alliteration brain. And it actually went really well. Except we've now realized that, you know, you fix one setting and then something else along the line gets mixed up. So we were having an issue where shipping wasn't accumulating, so I fixed that. But now we have another issue where it wouldn't let us print the shipping labels first six hours after the live. So, you know, it's. It's a learning curve for sure. But I'm excited to do it, and I'm learning new skills called innovation. Yes. That's how all progress is. Hey, I like the. You know, I know I'm teaching you well. When you say, you know, I just have the. You're blessed to have the opportunity to do it. I think that's what I heard you say. Yes. Yu-Gi-Oh No, I am. Yu-Gi-Oh Give. Give Bella a raise. That's what she's going for. I mean, you know, I. I come here to learn skills every single day. Soft skills, hard skills. It's like how to not throw my computer at the Fleer when things go awry. So, you know, we love ebay. We do. But there are some things we would love to have say in with, like the tech platform. And it's not. So it could just be us learning it. We can admit that. But. Oh, I. I do it the Shaffer way where I don't like to read instructions and then I like to do it and then have to redo it because I didn't read. That's like every. That's like how every dude is like, I don't need instructions. I don't need directions. I know where I'm going. Like, you would do it, like, for sure. Mail. You know, it's perfect for the industry. It is perfect for the industry. I'm just glad someone besides me like, you know. Yu-Gi-Oh you're welcome. I'm saving. Saving you the headache. But no, it's been good. It's been fun. A lot of learning and I can feel the progress. Like every stream, we're getting better and better still. Probably not great, but, you know, again, it's alt art of the journey. I'd love. And you guys are on ebay live listening. Yu-Gi-Oh you were on ebay live under the collector station underscore. Com. Yu-Gi-Oh Underscore. It's so funny. But one-of-one subtle way to get your website in the name. Not so subtle. I'd love to know everybody's feedback if you're listening. If you've used on the user, you know, you do lives everybody on this listening. If you're listening to our show, a sports card and collectible show, you probably have used Whatnot. Yu-Gi-Oh but have you used ebay live? You know, drop some comments on Spotify or YouTube. What do you like? What do you not like? Yu-Gi-Oh I'd love some feedback just on the platforms. We know that ebay's is progressing and you know, they've been working on the platform hard. Got some updates. Actually, before I even got in here, I saw an email and it's a priority for them, but I'd be curious just what your experiences have been. Have been on the platforms. Yu-Gi-Oh And we're doing. Oh, you go. Yu-Gi-Oh I was. I feel like they all have their. Like, each one's different. No, none of them are perfect and they all have their intricacies that you have to learn to become Zebra efficient on them. So there is a learning curve, for sure. Yu-Gi-Oh definitely. But I think that's the biggest thing for everybody. For us, you know, being new selling on there and had started natively on Whatnot, you know, last year, and then giving this a shot with our, you know, partnership with them and wanting to give that a go. It's going to be new for everyone. And then I think it's even new for people that are watching and buying on it. Compared, you know, they've used Whatnot, and then they're coming into ebay Live, and they've Maybe have. Sure, most people have ebay accounts, but, like, actually using the ebay Live platform, I think you got to just have all your boxes checked and all your settings set up. But I will say that the people over there have been very gracious and very patient because, you know, there's been hiccups and, like, there's been shipping malfunctions and things like that that we're either having to fix on stream or after stream, and pretty much nobody's complained. And it's. I've been very appreciative of that because I would definitely take that on my shoulders. I think it's part of the live nature, like, of the community. You know, they've watched you for two hours, or you're doing stuff they're. They're kind of seeing, like, all right, these people's hearts are in the right place. You know, like, we're doing. We got great cars, good deals, like, and I don't. It's more worried that it's not. It's not personal or, like, they're not gonna get something, you know, even if it's an hour or two delayed or a day late. You know, I think. Yu-Gi-Oh hopefully, I'm. If you think Bella's gonna steal from you, then you aren't watching our YouTube. Yu-Gi-Oh I Goldin kill a bug. We would. I don't do business that way. And she doesn't look like she would do business that way. No, and she doesn't. So. No. But it's been an adventure. And, I mean, I've been watching and helping behind the scenes and more, letting them run with things, and they've done a great job. So I'm excited that we've got the opportunity to grow. And so, long story short, tune in Sundays, 6pm Eastern, Tuesday, 7pm Eastern on eBay Live. It's taco TCG Tuesday. Oh, my gosh. We should have burritos. Like, you have to have mariachi hats. Or whatever. Or. I don't know. That's really what they're called. Sombreros and queso's going. Chips and cats. They come, they come in and sing at everyone's table, you know. Yu-Gi-Oh Love songs. Now that would be really. Now you shouldn't have said that. I'm gonna hire like a mariachi band to come in on Tuesday to be playing in the background while this is going on. Yu-Gi-Oh Oh my God, that would be amazing. Okay, before he thinks too much on that, let's go to the Cards this week, you know, obviously Topps flagship football released last week, now that it's, you know, a couple days removed. What are yalls thoughts on it? How are you liking the product? How is it showing up on LX's scanning? What's, what's the news with that? I got, I mean I'll jump in. Yu-Gi-Oh you, you're, you're more consumer facing on it. But Yu-Gi-Oh I mean scanning it is, is the same. It's, it's a, it's definitely a popular set based on like the seven week scan data. There's some that just don't resonate and then there's some that obviously the big ones, you know, the, the difference of scanning the flagship is, is much. It's, it's. You could see it on the data, you can tell it's the most allocated. Like it's everywhere and everybody bought it, we've sold it in here and it's like there's two sides of this coin. I think Topps did what they probably should have done and I would do coming out the gates, you know, safe. Traditional play cards look nice, they're paper. But it's, it is what it is. It's an affordable entry level product for people in the hobby, follow the path of baseball. It has similar look, feel the type, type of inserts, the, the hit rates, all that stuff. I just, and I wrote an article on this so I, and I like what Top's doing and I, and if I was in their position, I don't know that I would have done anything different. It's more about what do you do moving forward. Because here's, here's the challenge, owning the shop, watching people rip. And I watch a lot of people online, like watching videos on YouTube. That's how I learn is watching other people rip it, talk about it, see how the reactions are. You've set. We've got an industry now that people view this as entertainment. And yes, there's definitely a sub segment of the hardcore collectors that Are set collecting. They want every card. And it. That's the product is made for that person, which is like a baseball product. Baseball. You got all these guys. They want every set. The checklist they want. They're doing it. They're building sets. That still happens. I know it's a big group, and maybe that group is in football too, But I'm not sure. And my hunch is. And I watch people rip it. They're happy they spent 25 bucks. They're not happy that the hit rates suck. And it's not that everybody is chasing the $1 million Cooper flag. I think there's real realistic. But everybody. But it's a. It's entertainment. Part of ripping is entertainment part of set collecting. You know, the irony in all of this is these packs are set up and they have so many cards in 150 cards. The Mega box is the most. The heaviest thing I've ever held in a mega box. They're set up for the set collectors. But set collectors don't buy much wax. Too inefficient. It's too inefficient. The people buying and ripping wax are the chasers, the entertainment people. And we have packs that are set up for the set collectors. Someone's got to negotiate that. And we can't just go and blame it on the rookie class sucking because this product's gonna fizzle out. I think purely because the hit rates aren't great. The breakers are gonna move on. You know, they did their diligence and it's a. It's a nicely put together product. I'm not even like, critiquing why this product exists. It's more. There needs to be an evaluation of what makes sense next. I mean, people have already come into the shop. I heard today, like, they're already like, Yu-Gi-Oh it's meh. It's just meh. You know, like. And I will say this too. I'm gonna talk. So I'm talking both sides of it. Don't ask for affordable products. Then, you know, like it. You don't get to have it both ways. You can't have a 25 blaster box probably and get the hit rate that you want. But I think that crowd would probably acknowledge, well, I'm willing to pay 35 then. And they probably would. And then they want the hit rate at least a little higher. And I think that if you're serving the rippers, you know, that's what you need to have. And it doesn't have to be a $20 card. In every $20 box. But man, we, I watched a lot of kids in my store and online and people ripping those boxes and it's just like, Yu-Gi-Oh disinterest, you know, like, Yu-Gi-Oh boring. And even though I did say they did pretty decent on the inserts and stuff like that, but it's just not enough, I don't think for what the hobby is today. So let's, let's talk about the kids because I do think this is a, there is a play to make it affordable. Especially we talk about like Pokemon being like the, the gateway drug into, you know, into collecting and then they hop over to sports. So I do think there's like, if I had, you know, young kids, this would be the perfect product and make it exciting being like, hey, this is who we're looking for, our favorite player. And you know, and I think it's a good product for growing the industry at a lower level. But Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, people who are in it are, they're bored. They'll be bored by it. Yu-Gi-Oh just getting 90 cards at a blaster box and maybe having $3 in secondary value, you know, nine out of 10 of them. I don't know if that's getting people excited. And again, I, I'm not advocating for. Well, the only reason you should put a product out is if you got a chance at a million dollar card looked the Cooper flag date. No, I'm not. I, I'm just think that, you know, you gotta find a balance of something that gets you excited that has a secondary market value beyond 50 cents. I mean, but kind of on the flip side, does tops really care? Cause they, they've already sold their cards. It doesn't really impact them that much. It impacts, I mean, maybe minus, like, I think when. Here's how they'll care. When you walk into a store in December and there's 500 boxes of 2026 flagship NFL football at Walmart everywhere else, when everything else is sold out, that matters. And I think that's what you're, you know, you heard it here first. I think that's what's going to happen. And that does matter. So even if they've already sold it, whoever they sold it to, it comes back around the other direction at some point. I Moonbreon, be honest. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, Yu-Gi-Oh 100%. I mean, you never want to see stuff sitting on your shelves. You don't want to see it as a store owner. I don't want to see the same stuff when I come into your shop after three months and there's just if I was tossed, I'd probably just start. I just like at certain level, just buy it back, you know, and get it and control the supply and demand curve a little. Yu-Gi-Oh But there is something interesting in the, on the tech side of that is a couple people have come to me with ideas about putting QR codes or sensors into cards in the manufacturing process. Yep. Like, this is a great example of like. And I know you can pick and choose on what you should or shouldn't do, but, but a lot of these people, like every card is going to have a, like a Dewey decimal system where every card is going to have unique identifier and it's. You can digitize it. And I'm like, but, but why, like what percent of the, of the flagship product is in garbage cans that has been open? That's, that's, Yu-Gi-Oh that's kind of my point exactly. Right, I agree with you. And why would you spend, why would you spend an extra 50, you know, 25 cents a card when the cards worth a nickel when most of them are a nickel? So that was like kind of my argument to them. It's like, you know, it's not going to be every card because no one cares about the cards. Yu-Gi-Oh And to that end, if, if 60% of the cards are end up again in the trash, why print them? Why not change the product to patch auto people want and would actually, you know, I think it's overwhelming to try to collect a set of top. Like there's 600, 400 something cards. Plus all the parallels, all that. And I, even if you just wanted the base set, it's still a lot like, let's get to some micro sets or something. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean in the north, it's going to be winter soon. So you know, it does heat the house up for a little bit. Make some kindling or a campfire or start a campfire. But maybe there'll be a trend. I know they used to do this like in the 90s and different things with little mini sets and I know that can get out of hand and they want to reduce SKUs. So I'm probably just dreaming here, Brian. So, you know, bear with me. But either of them have these little limited edition like 50 cards, like something that's, that's attainable and maybe they're not all worth, you know, $50 a piece, so it's a $2,500 set or something, but maybe they have a Fleer of like 10 or 15 bucks a piece and it's a 50 card set. Hey, I could get into like with the boys collecting a little 50 card set or something that, that gets pieced together like. I, I don't know. I think they're just trying to appease every version of a collector. They're trying to appease the people that are doing it for excitement. They're trying to appease the people that are set building. They're trying to appease the affordability and the people that want the high end cards like they're all into one. It's all in flagship. Yu-Gi-Oh From jumbo to hanger. You know I like the hangers now. The hangers 14.99 retail. Hey, let's get some. The hangers should be it because that's, that's like one box. It's clean, you know, like you get it. It's just, you know, it's not 90 cards. And let's if we're going to go affordable, let's make that the affordable entry and then let's juice up the blasters and the mega boxes or something. Yu-Gi-Oh all fair. All right. Fair. There we go. There we go. We're solving the problems that no one has. All good ideas, all good ideas. Not one bad idea. As a shop owner, you know, I want to support, I'm supporting it and I like it and I believe in it. But I also know the truth and it doesn't mean my ideas are necessarily the best ones. But the re. But the observations are real and they're truthful. And no one thinks about it more than I do right now because it's just, it's my business to do it. And, or, or I should say that I don't think anyone, I mean at least on plane with whoever's singing it's the most. I can't imagine because it is my business on so many fronts. And so I'm like, okay, well what does this mean? And none of it's easy. And I don't think it that they did anything wrong. I actually like the product. I just think it needs a dial turner or an evaluation point. So one-of-one I agree. Well, switching. Bring on the chrome. Damn it. Switching gears a little bit. A Michael Jordan 1998 finals game three jersey has come to auction. They're anticipating 10 to 15 million dollars. The owner of said jersey has said a hundred million dollars. What are your, what are your thoughts on that? I'll share my thoughts. Brian know, I mean Ryan's in Chicago. He knows this market, he knows Jordans and all this stuff. So I know he's probably got Something closer to the, the beat of it. I mean, look, Jordan's the hottest, like certain entity in the entire hobby. He. He's my favorite player of all time. He's the greatest player of all time. No one deserves that place more than him in my mind. So let me just get that out of the way. Yes, I am biased. Yu-Gi-Oh However, it is the truth that he is the hottest entity in the hobby. And hands down, not many of his. Like this is a very special, very rare item. And whatever that price is, is, is easily as justified as anything else that's selling. I can tell you that because this is the greatest player in at a moment that really matters. But that. So that's, you know, 70,000 foot observation. Yu-Gi-Oh I think it's. Yu-Gi-Oh I think it's, you know what it's worth? I, I don't know, but it's. It's worth more than $10 million. I mean, let's look at, let's look at the cards. If we listed the cards that have sold in that range of 10 million and now you have a game worn 101 jersey of the best player of all time that you could put on your wall. You could travel like dicks could put it in their stores and travel around. If I bought it, I could lease it to people just to have it in Chicago. Right. So people could see it. I think it, if it goes for 10 to 12 million, I will be absolutely shocked. And I think it's going to go for higher. Now it's also a great test about our cards starting to bleed into memorabilia because this is a great test of it. And also the amount of people who are raising, who are raising capital for an investment vehicle inside of a portfolio, a stock portfolio or, you know, whatever your net worth. You want X percent in gold, you want X percent in collectibles. This is the one that I don't think you lose money on. I mean, 100 million. Yu-Gi-Oh come on. That's a little out. That's a little ridiculous. But you might be, you might be buying. If I might. I'm gonna personally scrape it together and Brian and I are gonna buy it if it goes for 10 million. Yu-Gi-Oh It's a century. Yu-Gi-Oh We need to sell more flagship football, but. Yes, exactly. So I think, I think it goes higher. I think it, I'm interested to see it. And, and there's just so much money at the high level in this industry. I think this is a really good test to see actually how much is there. And if, I think no matter what, if you pay 20 million or 25 million, you're probably buying it with like two years of, like, you're not going to make money in two years. But then there's that. That pinnacle where it's going to be worth that eventually. It's how long do people want to tie their capital up until that becomes a, you know, a money maker? Because there's always someone, a billionaire out there that if they want it for 20, they'll pay 40. It doesn't matter to them. Yu-Gi-Oh So I think this is a good test about the bridge and see how this plays out. But that's my 2 cents. 30. 38 to 42 mil. That's your guess. That's where I. I'm just gonna throw in that range. What do you. I'll say 27. Yu-Gi-Oh I'll be like. I'll just be the low guy at 25. Okay. Yu-Gi-Oh we'll see. We'll come back to this when it. When it actually. If I knew who all was actually interested, I might dictate my better guesses. Oh, there's some big. There's some big fish. But the couple names that I saw is where I felt comfortable being. Well, north of 20, it will definitely be over. I'll put a side bet it's over 20. Can you go to Kelsey? And I bet you Kelsey has, like, prop bets on this thing. I should. Sure they do. Yes, I'm sure they do. But honestly. But it is a good. Brian, really good point on the crossover. And I think it will be a litmus test for that. And I think it will. But I also think it. The only reason I would say it's not is because Jordan is on another planet all alone. That it. I don't know if it transcends every sport and every jersey and every, you know, like, merchandise. He is just a continent to himself. Personally. I think if it goes close to 10 million, like, the fact that people are comparing now like a modern rookie player piece of cardboard to a. Like such a monumental item that is literally as game worn as it could possibly be. You're having the entire thing. Like, the fact that it's even close to that seems a little ridiculous to me. Then that piece of. Fragment of Whatnot. Yu-Gi-Oh the relic. The relic. Whatever. I mean, think about, like the flex in this, right? Like, there's nothing better than when someone who's a billionaire and they're like, I bought that. Everyone knows they don't even have to say it. I bought the Jordan jersey. And like, flex that. And that's Ego. And that's someone who's like, I'm going to be known. And they're out there really flexing. If you wore it yourself. Wore it on a pickup game in the city. Yu-Gi-Oh Goes to a vet and he's got it on. You have to wash it. I wore it. Jordan wore it. We're not watching this thing. There's your flex. But no, it, it's, it is a flex and it's. It's an amazing piece to own. I can't wait to patch auto Yep. Yu-Gi-Oh Good theater. I do want to make one note that's I don't know when is a good spot, but, you know, Dolly Parton died yesterday and it might be okay. We're a sports card show. Why are we talking about Dolly Parton? Well, she's one of the greatest US entrepreneurs and personalities and people that walk the the entire continent, you know, in my mind. And she has, she's pop culture, she's got so many crossovers, she's had cards, probably not as many as she should. And you know, I was just, it was a sad moment in, in our country and I think for me, just thinking about the impact that she had in music, in film, in movies, and. And like entrepreneurism and theme parks and every food. Like just a true legend. So just wanted to send my condolences and acknowledge her. Wonder what cards she has. I wonder which card she has out there. Well, we, we. We've got an article up on thecollectornation.com that has every card she ever did. The one she has, a RELIC card that's 2003 Leaf, maybe 2003 or 2023. There is a big difference. But there was several. And then there was some older cards that were like country music card. Like, she probably had a catalog of like 15 or 20 different sets that she was in. Yu-Gi-Oh that's cool. But she deserves way more than that. And I don't even think there's enough words to put in to talk. I don't think there's enough words to say how amazing of a person and generational influence she has been so. And really impactful for young, young boys back in the day. Back in the day. I'll let. Yes, but think about that. Play out, like, how many different genres she crossed and how many, like, you know, from, you know, the singer sort of understated to, you know, the, I don't know, sexual object of like, younger boys in the day of the 80s, 70s. I don't know. And then just. But I. But that's the thing, though. She did it all. She cared off, like, she was like literally a rock star in the entrepreneur space, the business space, like how she carried her business and what she got done. I mean, she might have had the look, you know, of all that, but she was so much more. And her musical talent, like, it almost gets lost because of the business and all the sort of the glamour and all that kind of happened later in life. But her music catalog is incredible. Like working nine to five, baby. Yep, yep. So one-of-one hats off to Dolly. All right, I do want to do a little history lesson for people. And we are going to talk about the iconic Upper Deck Ken Griffey Jr. Card that we have an amazing, beautiful, wonderful, artistic representation of right here by Collector Creatives. This is the card of the week then. Yu-Gi-Oh this is the card of the week. So we're going to start doing a little segment talking about the history of some iconic cards. So this is the 1989 Upper Deck Ken Griffey Jr. Number one card, which was generational in and of itself, because having a rookie who they didn't even have a picture of him in his Mariners jersey as the number one card was unheard of. And for it to be a junk wax card that still carries so much weight is awesome. So I want to hear your thoughts on this card. I know it's one of your favorites. Yes. Yu-Gi-Oh go ahead, Brian. Well, I'll tell you that that is the most scanned card on Ludox and it's probably 10%. Like it's never not going to be. So obviously this is what people talk about. Hey, what's that? Ken Griffey Jr. That one with the, his photo, the Upper Deck one. What's that worth now? Because I have those and Yu-Gi-Oh I mean it's that iconic. I mean for sure, in my generation, oh, I was a 12 year old boy in the like Absolute pinnacle, you know, you think about 12 at least when I grew up. I don't know. Now, hopefully, hopefully we're doing that for our kids. But, you know, you're, you know, enough, you know, as a kid, you know, you've been that you're not, but you're not in teenage years yet. And so it was the pinnacle moment of my childhood collection. And this new shiny company comes along. I mean, you know, I'm in Topps in Donruss Fleer. You know, everything's kind of got books, binders full of the paper cards and this shiny new object known as Upper Deck comes into play. And you're like, Yu-Gi-Oh look at this. A new company. Shiny holograms. And like they really ushered in a whole new age of print quality. They introduced so many different autographs, you know, like the UV coating on the cards. And then right when the hottest thing in the hobby, Ken Griffey Sr's son, the prodigy, who was the kid and he's their first, you know, that heroic card and that it was every kid's chase card that was a baseball collector at that time. And literally you were cool if you had a Ken Griffey Jr. Upper rookie and you weren't so cool if you didn't or you wanted it. It was the, you know, I mean, it was an amazing risk that they took on all fronts. You know, a rookie that had never stepped foot on a professional baseball field and they, you know, put him at number one and it definitely paid off for them. I'm curious as to, you know, how, I mean, even now, like we're talking about it now, however many years later, I'm curious as to how much money they've been able to make off of that. Well, I carried their legacy, I mean, built their legacy and Then you know, I mean through licensing and a million other things, you know, they're in hockey now and like a lot of other like non sport stuff. But they, they printed the out of them. Yu-Gi-Oh they did. They made it a lot. I don't know. Has there ever been an official like admitted number of how many sets they've rented? It's. And, and it's like, doesn't really diminish it too much, but it, it does diminish it at some level. Yu-Gi-Oh Because like if it was half of what it was, it's probably a hundred thousand dollar PSA 5 car or PSA 10 car. Excuse me. And you know that it's actually fairly low the fact that it's only what, five, six, seven grand, which I like, but that's moved. I mean in the last year and a half that thing's doubled or more. So he's getting love. Yu-Gi-Oh it's on my short list. I haven't gotten one yet. I mean I, I'm surprised you don't have one. You know, you just sold a. What a alter ego joke. It's. Yu-Gi-Oh you could buy, you could buy really a Griffey for the same price, 10 of them, anytime I wanted. It's. But it's. I think it's more that that's card holds such a place for me. In a weird way I never like to think I get to the destination of things. I'm always on the journey like, and I feel like if I own it, like I don't know well that there's anything else that I would want, you know. And so it's almost in a weird way I feel like it's going to be about when and where I buy it that matters. And that moment has it. I think if I walked into the crappiest mall in America that had a show and I happened to be in that town and I walked up to the first table and it, the guy just happened to have it, that would be where I'd want to buy that, you know. Would it have to be a PSA 10? Yes, yes, absolutely. I mean for myself. Yu-Gi-Oh I'll buy any of them at a time and then they'll sit in the store and we'll sell them, we'll show them off, whatever. But the next one I buy will be the PSA 10 one. The perfect version of it. But I think that's what I'm more waiting on because again, it hasn't been about affordability or ability. It's just more about when is that moment. Well, it's projected that it'll be $10,000 by 2023. So. Or 20. Not 2023. 2030. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh So get on that. And probably. But are you. A guy like that doesn't want to chase. And so when you see there's people out there that like, oh, that card was 1500. Now it's five grand. I'll never pay five grand for it. But they didn't buy for 1500 either. And, like, I. I'm not that kind of guy. Like, if it's worth 5,000 today, there's a reason why it went up. Yep. And you pay the price. Yu-Gi-Oh I could care less. I mean, don't get wrong. If it went to 20 grand over the next month, I'd probably hit the pause button to just go. That seems artificial. Yep. But I. But I did the. This, like I talked about in the article I mentioned last week, between comparing that in the Yokich, which is it's earned over 30 years. Like, it's earned the number. It's gone up, it's gone down. It's durable. Like, it's earned the five grand. Yu-Gi-Oh Now, I. I'm. I wouldn't buy blips. Like, I'm not a blip buyer. Like, that's like, just too emotional. But, like, but I don't care. Paying fair market price with it was mispriced for a long time is what it says, until this industry grew. And if you're really into it, that formula works for you and against you sometimes. So, like, you just happen to hold on to these 20 cards that all did a 10x increase. You're like, hey, have benefit, man. I didn't get in on that, Griffey. Like, well, but you did benefit from the rest of the, you know, like, so there's two sides of that. It is annoying. There's some annoying collectors that, like, just happen to have it, and then they pretend like they're these Genesis that held on to it. I'm like, dude, like. And card shops, a lot of card shops are like that. Well, I. I turned a million dollars inventory into 5 million. I'm like, well, you didn't. Like, you. You did market did the card. Market did. So, like, you know, and, man, some of those guys, it goes right to their ego. And I'm like, you actually didn't do anything. You sat there and did nothing and made money. So. Which is great for them, but, you know, it's not like a feather in their cap that they did it. They did it because that's what they did. Yes. So you know that Y came out of a Topps Chrome update value box. We had another value box moment. It wasn't a hobby box. It wasn't, you know, Breaker's Delight wasn't a mega box. Another value box. I don't even think you can call them. Well, I guess you could. Pretty good value for the box. And that's a good value. Yu-Gi-Oh We hit the. Called a frozen fracture holding this up. It's negative one out of zero. Clever. Clever. I like that of Kyrie Irving. And there's no comps on the Kyrie yet. Guesstimate. Like worst case two grand. Best case seven grand. It's like all over the map. I'm realistic. It doesn't matter. It was more than it we earned with the price paid. But you know how many. What is it negative numbered to negative one out of zero. But so they're. They make five of each. Five. Okay. So they do. Negative one, negative two. So this is first on print. Really cool looking card. It looks like an ice, you know, hologram type, you know, parallel. And these are really cool. And I didn't realize. I knew it was a case hit. Maybe something I didn't know how quite rare they were. And then it seems to be all the chatter like for the sort of ssssp. I think that goes the. The creativity that would. I think. I think a lot of chase cards kind of lack that creativity. But I think that that one like deserves it. You know that one's a good one. I do. And I think we talked about set collecting earlier and it really is baseball people that want to get the 60 set and 72 and 74. But what I want to collect when money is not an issue at all is these sets. Like I want to go and get the insert sets and get every one of them and I want them in PSA 10s and like this would be a perfect set to like you know, over the years collect. I think that would be. That's what I like to do. Yu-Gi-Oh I agree. And I mean I like the Downtowns or Kabooms. Like having all those out of a singer and then you know when. And I don't know like the prices are so like having all the gold downtowns of a certain. You know, like I wouldn't mind have it like Josh Allen. The only reason I didn't hold on to the gold Josh Allen I got was pretty much because I would only be satisfied if I had all 10 of or 10 made. There you go. And so just turned into A really expensive exercise. So I decided to be profitable in the moment. Sell it. To sell it. Because I would have just said I don't want anyone else to have one. That's really funny. I mean it's true. That's what went through my head. I'm like, I don't know if I'll actually keep this one. Everybody's like, this is your favorite player. one-of-one keep it? Like Yu-Gi-Oh Because I. I don't really want to have what would have been probably, you know, 200 grand, 150 grand tied up in Josh Allen gold Downtown. Okay. I have to. Whether I can or not. I just don't really didn't want to because I probably would have. Out of like recent sets. What's like the one card that you've seen that you're like, I really want that insert or that Sepia. The I. I talk out of both sides of my mouth. It's what makes me good at talking. I guess that's my wife says, which side of mouth you talking on? The all Key. The All Kings. Josh Allen Black. Like in the new tops 26 football is a pretty juicy card, you know. Yu-Gi-Oh You gotta don't open a value box thinking, I mean you can supposely the hit rates higher the value. Maybe I need to do that. I just need to stop and just open some value boxes of it because it's been hot on the basketball, you know. Yu-Gi-Oh maybe. But no, that card is pretty sweet. It's the new, the new one. But it's the only thing I've seen. This like totally caught my Yu-Gi-Oh I mean I like the alter egos and the different ones. Well you've already hit that, so. I know but I haven't hit all of them. The Brian, what card would you want to hit? Was. Are those the Magas? Yu-Gi-Oh Magnus, Manga, Mango. Yu-Gi-Oh So they're cool. They're cool. So those are cards that I think would be really cool. I tried to buy the Urlocker one. Yu-Gi-Oh And have them sign it but I missed out on it. But Yu-Gi-Oh I think those. I think that would be the card I'd want. Okay. I really, I think it'd be more fun. Like I don't. I. Right now they're kind of going for crazy numbers. But the Topps Chrome update minion cards, I just think they're really fun. They are fun. I think they're fun. The Disney princess loves this. I know, I know. I just think like imagine just like opening the pack and then you just see a minion. Like I feel like, it would catch you so off guard that, like, it would just make it extra exciting, you know, I think it would be really funny to be around the table and someone's like, I have an idea minion. And like everyone just, you know, half of the room looks at you like you're crazy. And the other one's like, wait a second. But like all the ideas, like the negative card that you have and someone's like minions. Well, I mean, the Steph Curry, like his iconic, like sleeping. Yu-Gi-Oh whatever they call it. The base minion of that, I mean, is a short print, but base version of it just sold for over $20,000. So, hey, it was a pretty lucrative idea. It worked. Did they, did they release how many they make of the SP and SSPs they released? I don't know, you know, like, I don't ever see it. It's not numbered. That's what I would want to know. Like, how many did they make? Can't they make another one next year? Exactly. Or if they do, do they do reprints of this stuff? Brian, like, oh, God, I hate reprints. Don't even say that word. But do they do it at all in sports? Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh And so like, if I always wonder how that works, the math gets. I know they can't make more. They can't have two of the same gold floating around. There'd be a conspiracy of all, you know. But the SPS and SSPs could becoming SSP lights too common on the secondary market. Then people, I think would catch on. Like, there has to. They would to a degree. If it like doubled. But you might could increase it 20% and not. I don't know. If someone aggregated like the sales, the recent sales, and it got, you know, the list got long. I think people then. Yes. And if, if people research that, that would affect it for sure. I think they got too much on the line to be that schemy. Yu-Gi-Oh But I feel like they definitely, you know, if they have cards out of 50, I think they definitely release, you know, 25 of them in wave one and 25 in wave two. I. I think they have to. Yu-Gi-Oh I don't know. Yu-Gi-Oh It's not random. Yu-Gi-Oh And to play conspiracy theory, I think that they also knew what they were doing releasing the Cooper flag logo, man, early and not holding it. Why? Well, because they, you know, they wanted to hype up the product more. Yu-Gi-Oh And if they released it too late, then. I don't know. I always wondered if it would have driven more demand. Not the reverse of that, like people still thinking that I got a shot at it. I mean, people are pretty like delusional thinking that they got a shot at it. The prices of the products really haven't changed that much. No. So I think there's enough hits in it. Yu-Gi-Oh What I would do, what I would do is I would, if I pulled it, I would be. I would keep it so quiet and I just, Yu-Gi-Oh I would just buy all the wax that exists and just hang, hang on to the wax for a year or two and then be like, hey, the logo man's still out there and people are now paying two grand. Yu-Gi-Oh And then sell the wax. It's never been hit. It's still out there. You have inside information that'd be pretty cool. You know, they've done with some of these cards that never surfaced. Like there's a couple of pretty big name like Stephs and otherwise, like not so sure. That's not what's happened. Yep. All right. Any final thoughts? No. That was a lot of information. I feel like we really had a great show. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh that's good. And you know, we got like a week and a half until football is back, baby. I know I'm ready for it. I'm like, it's like slow. It's. In some ways the year's moving quick, but the troll the like twill to get to football season is real. So I'm ready for it. It's. Here it is. Here it is. Now we're excited. Yu-Gi-Oh Still waiting for my ticket to Death Valley, but there's the first game is in the other Death Valley at lsu. We'll see. We'll see how that goes. Could be tough. We'll.
