Beautiful people, welcome to another fantastic episode of Hobby Nonsense Podcast. It's your boy Solar Ray and I am doing this solo dolo. We're going to call this the Seaside Podcast Chat. As you can see, I am on vacation. I'm sitting in the middle of our condo here in Florida and I'm doing this solo because Sports Boy is feeling a little bit under the weather, he said. Last time I talked to him he said he had severe stomach issues. Now what that entails, I don't know. He said to a point to where he might even need to go to the error. He doesn't know if it's something serious going on with the stomach or if he just legitimately had some bad Indian food. I know that it sounds like a joke, but it is not a joke. So shout out to our boys, Sports Boy. But guys, we have a great show planned for you. This isn't to be just a mailing in on vacation podcast because there is a lot going on in the world of our hobby, trading cards, collectibles and what have you. So we have a slam packed show for you guys. So stick with me, guys, it's your boy Solar Ray. We have a jam packed show. We're talking, we're going to be talking Pokemon of course, Loricana, Laura, or excuse me, Lorcana, because I have been corrected several times on how to pronounce that. So we're going to talk Loricana. We have some Pokemon Lego news. We also have some Pal World New news. So that's going to be interesting just to kind of touch base on that. And guys, we have some Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce news, I don't know. But guys, stick with me. As you can see, I have the microphone here on my fork. So just to give it A little. Give it a little piece of resistance, as the kids like to say. I don't even know if I'm saying that correctly, but we're here. It's the Seaside Chat episode Solo Ray. Stick around. We're going to have a good show. So first things up, of course, we talked about the sports boy. Er. Well, we don't know if he's in the ER yet. But guys, here's the thing. Jesse had a intense couple weeks, week and a half, something like that, of breaking. He gets super, super excited to break for you guys. That's what I love about Jesse is. And this is not going to be, Listen, guys, this isn't going to be like I'm going to put Jesse over a situation, the whole podcast, all right? You know that I like to like, I like to joke on Jesse more than give him his praise and his flowers. So. But I do want to say this about Jesse, that every time he breaks, he is super excited, super, super hopeful for everybody in the room to get something great out of the break. So he did. He did Masterworks, Disney and Marvel. So one of the things that he did want to talk about, he sent me a text about and how, how great that the artwork for Marvel Chrome was this year, except for the fact of the Wolverine clawed cards now, last year compared to what this year was, is that this year's clawed card had a black outline around the. The claw marking on card. And that made the card, that made it to where you couldn't see the artwork as well as you could from previous last year. So last year's there wasn't a. There wasn't a black outline. So the actual claw marked was transparent, so you can see through it and then you can see more of the artwork in the card. So. And this year they put a black outline around it, which again, it was a design matter. Whoever's designing those, that card, the graphic designer, you're fired. I'm going to go ahead and say that I'm firing you because you could have solved that and said, this isn't. This isn't good. I think we need to fix it or whatever. Or maybe it was. Maybe it had to do with printing issues, right? Maybe they said, hey, we can't continue to do these claw cards like we've been doing, so we have to add a little more, a little more structure to the card maybe. I don't know. I don't know. I'm just guessing. I'm just trying to figure out why they did it the way that they did. Can knowing that the, the card looked terrible. So. But to each his own. To each his own, right? So guys, again we have a great show. So another thing that I wanted to bring up is that that Mega Evolutions Pitch Black Pokemon set is quickly approaching. We know that the Release day is July 17, but last weekend we had our first look at at some of the in hand cards of Pokemon Pitch Black because they had the pre release at your local tcg, your local lgs. Excuse me guys. If you guys like collecting any of these Pokemon cards or you know, any TCG in general, go to your lcs see if they have some sort of pre release tournament or pre release event to where you can get the cards early before the release date. And in this case Mega Evolutions pre release date Pitch Black was last weekend. And let me tell you, I had several reports and we're going to talk about this and this is a little bit of a touchy subject but there was one report to where there was a kid and thank God it was a kid because if it was an adult I would have, I don't know the, the world would have been on fire. But he ended up getting a quote unquote God pack of the gold Mega Darkrai card. Now the Mega Darkrai is the chase of this, this set, right? And the Gold card is one of the highest rarity. But he ended up getting a God pack. And I'm putting that in quotation marks because every card including the code card. So you had 11 cards in this pack. In a Pokemon pack there's 11 cards. Every card was a Dark Rye Gold card. Now I say God Pack in quotation marks because this is clearly a manufacturer mistake and is an error. And I wanted to bring this up because the longer that we we be, the longer that we're here in this hobby and the more popular that the hobby gets is that there's more dollar signs behind this hobby. And the companies want to push out these products as quickly as the. I wouldn't even say efficiently, as quickly as possible to the public so they can make the most amount of money possible. And so when they do that they take a lot of shortcuts. And we're starting to see that in the hobby. I know with Pokemon you're starting to see cards that are not even. We've had reports where there's been cards and sets that we don't even know which sets they are going to be in. That's how big of a problem this is. We have seen it all throughout the tops side of the hobby to where you'll see sports cards and wrestling product, you'll see Disney cards and wrestling product, you'll see wrestling cards and Disney product, you'll see Marvel cards and other products. And that is not okay. That is not okay. You need to have a quality standard that you need to abide by for the consumer, for the hobbyist, for the person like us that we take great pride in collecting these products. You need to have enough decency to at least put the right cards in the right product. Right. Because you don't know. Yeah, that's just a pet peeve of mine. I know that the bigger that the hobby gets, the more of an issue that we see with manufacturers. And the only. I'll tell you this. I'll tell you this, Tops. I'll tell you this. Pokemon, the only company that I see that is so keen on delivering the best possible product to its consumers are the people in Upper Deck. They, after having the president, Upper Deck, sit next to me, across from Jesse and just legitimately hearing his passion about the products that they put out and how they make them, the technology behind some of the card manufacturing there, it's next to none. It's next to none. And I only hope nothing but the best to our friends over at Upper Deck. And they're doing it right. They're doing it right. And I'm telling you. But something needs to happen. And I don't think anybody cares about it as much as I do, just to be honest. So I just wanted to bring that up, you know, Mega EVolutions Pitch Black, July 17. Coming up. One of the things that I did want to talk about on this is the chase cards out of Pokemon Evolution. So I wanted to give you guys some of the cards that I think that are going to be more collectible in the long run and probably going to be more expensive in the long run, because I don't think that the chase in this card is going to be the chase in the long run. Much like the Paldea evolved, where the. I don't even remember the Garda War was supposed to be the chase and the. The Magikarp ended up being the chase of the product. So something similar, in my opinion. So we do know that the Mega Darkrai Ex, sir is supposed to be the chase out of this product. I'm not that big of a Dark Reich fan in general of a poke that Pokemon. And I really, I think the card is great, but I don't think it is. It is as good as the other sir in this product. And I think the Morpeko Ex sir will outpay. Will outpace the Darkrai at the end of the day. In the long run, I think it will outpace the Darkrai Ex sir. The Morpeko is going to be the. It's the second sir. But I think it's going to be more collectible. I enjoy the artwork a little more. I don't know, it might just be a personal opinion of mine. But I think at the end of the day that that card it might not be this year, it might not be next year. But I feel like the artwork the Pokemon will is stronger to a point and they more people would want to collect it over time. So that's just my two cents on that. And just two other cards that I think that you should pick up. Especially in the early stages because these cards, they are art rares. But I think that over time people are going to want to collect these cards. It's got the 151 effect in these two cards. So the Goldeen and the Slow Bro out of this set, I think those are going to be bangers. I think those are going to be collectible throughout time. There's not a lot of Goldeens out there. There's not a lot of Slow Burrow cards out there. So I know that for myself. I am in the process of collecting a entire 151 Pokedex binder of nothing but our rare 151 Pokemon. Not a lot of there. Some of the Pokemon don't have an art rare. So I either have I have to wait to that Pokemon card for an art rare to exist or I have to replace it with something else. So Goldeen is one of them. Slowbro is one of them of course that do not have a art rare. And to this point. So I think that that's going to be one of the driving factors going forward that I think these two cards are going to be worth some money down the road because of just that 151 effect. Original 151 Pokemon. They're dear to people's hearts. Goldeen was one of Misty's Pokemon of course. And there's a Misty Trainer card in this set also that might be another one that people would want to collect just because it's, you know, reminiscent of the Mat, the anime and the cartoon. And. But yeah, I don't know. Trainers really don't do well over time money wise. But collectible wise. People love. People love their Misty. People love their Misty. But yeah, I just wanted to Bring that up because I think that's a really nice value that people could latch on to that. The gold gene, the slow bro will probably especially right now because the set's going to be new. People are going to be hyped. People are going to be hyped. They're going to want to collect it right off the bat. But these are cards that are, I think are going to be relatively available. They'll be cheap, they'll be sub $10. So go ahead and pick them up. These cards have the ability to be twenty to thirty dollar cards down the road. Easy, easy. When we're out of the Mega Evolutions block, I think these cards can be that price down the road, no problem. Which that brings me to the next. Not a point that I have written down, but just seeing we're still not seeing Pokemon product on the shelves. And to me it is mind boggling that we are in the beginning of July. July through July Through August is kind of like the June. July and August are what we like to call in the reselling space. And if you guys don't know, I'm in the past and I still do buy, collect things I like to flip on ebay and other other areas. You know, I'll go to thrift stores, garage sales, estate sales, what have you. And they call this the summer slowdown to where a lot of people don't buy much on those online platforms because they're out taking vacations, they're out taking, taking the kids to Disney. They're all taking them to the water parks, they're. The kids are at home, they're not at school. So they're having to feed the kids of course and do other things with the money that they're gaining through their job or what have you. And so we like to call this the summer slowdown. So they're not buying as many online items through this. And so with that being said, shout out to Sportsboy. That just seeing the continuous shelves being empty for Pokemon cards is mind boggling to me. That we have chaos rising and. Or chaos, yes, chaos rising as one of the sets. And I can't even remember the other set that is currently out. But we are not seeing any of these cards. We're not seeing any of these cards. And not just Pokemon stuff, guys. I'm not seeing any Disney Topps cards. They said that they have manufactured way, way more Mega boxes and Blaster boxes this year. Disney Chrome. I don't see it. I haven't seen it in stores. Let me know in the Comments if you've seen it, I have only seen Blaster boxes of Marvel Chrome and that's just recently. And that was literally I went into a Walmart and I caught the restock and I saw Marvel Marvel Chrome on the shelves. But I've been in a Walmart, in a Target and caught Restocks and Disney Chrome. Nowhere to be found. Nowhere to be found. So I don't know if that's just. They said they made more. Where are we at? Where, where is it? Because I would like to open it. And here's the thing. I live in a completely, you know, and that's why I think this podcast is such great because Jesse and I have lived, we live two completely different lives. Jesse lives in this, you know, he's been doing the sports Core nonsense, I don't know, for tons of years, right. And so he's able to develop relationships with the car manufacturers and different people. And you know, if you want something, he can easily get it. It's easily attainable to him. Right? He lives this world. He, he does it full time. You know, he's a breaker full time. He's a podcaster full time. And then you have me on the other side of the spectrum to where the. I'm not, I am a collector at heart. I am very much aware of this world, but I don't live in it as much as he does and I don't have those relationships and I'm more of like the real, the real person out on the streets. I know that we kid around all the time. I kid around all the time with boots on the ground. I'm boots on the ground because I am, I would like to say a representation of, of what a normal person that is looking to collect these collectibles, trading cards or what have you really is like, I am on the boots on the ground. Sometimes I'll go to my LCS and say, hey, can I get a box of, I don't know, Disney Chrome? Sure. It's going to be $400. Oh snap. I don't want to pay $400. Why don't I want to pay $400? Because I'm a person that still works a full time job that has real bills and I don't have a podcast that's paying me money. I don't have these other, other sponsorships and other things that are paying me money. I'm, I'm guys, you know, your boy, your boys balling on a budget. And I hope that you guys are balling on a. But, well, I Don't hope that you guys are balling on a budget, but I'm just saying I can't spend $400 on a hobby box all willy nilly like that all the time, right. Knowing that the results of me opening up that hobby box may not be great. Right. And so I do get the benefit of breaking sometimes with you guys and opening up wrestling product, which I absolutely love. Shout out to CM Punk for, for winning the title last night, which I'm recording on a Tuesday. But I'm going, I'm going off a little bit of a T. Okay. I'm gonna make, I'm gonna, I'm gonna make a note because I do want to talk a little bit WWE and what's a Ray podcast without a little bit of WWE talk. But I digress. So, yeah, opening up a $400 hobby box may not be attainable to a lot of people. For me, it's not like I can justify, I can't justify paying $400 for a hobby box sometimes. And yeah, I just want to let you, you know, and that's the reason why, okay, even going to Walmart and seeing the prices on some of these mega boxes that are like 70 to $80, even then I'm like, holy smokes, this is a lot of money and there might not be anything in this box. So. And I know that we talk about breaking all the time, right? And if you're somebody like me that cannot go to an LCS and drop 400 all willy nilly like this, and that the best thing that you can do is buy into breaks. And I know that might be, you know, some people might be going, ugh, here we go. We're talking about breaking again. Buying into breaks. Maybe you've never bought into a break before, but that is the best bang for your buck in my opinion. Because there are so many good spots that are gonna. That you could pay for sub 20, sub 50 sub that you will, you will collect the character you want. And there's a possibility you're going to get a great card. And you're not. And here's the thing, you're not. You're not opening up one box worth of product. You're opening up a whole case worth of product. And so I think that that value is astronomical. So if I know that if I go to my LCS and, and just. Okay, just for an example, and I think this is a great example, if I go to my LCS and I wanted to buy a box of the WWE royalty that we all know that WWE Royalty. Each box had one pack with 10 cards in it. But each. Each card was like bangers. We have autographs, we had patches, and this is the product where you could have. You could have had a. For WWE WrestleMania patch on some of the wrestlers, which. The John Cena one is still out. So just think about this. So if I go to my LCS and I've done this, I went to my lcs and I was like, I want to. After the first round of us opening up WWE Royalty, I said, okay, I'm going to go and buy a box for myself so I can just keep all the cards for myself. I go there, the box is $2,000 for one box. And I'm like, I can't spend $2,000. Are you kidding me? So. And I don't even know which wrestlers are gonna. I'm not gonna want all some of these wrestlers that are in here. And so $2,000, guys. I can take half of that. A thousand dollars. I think that we had, for example, I think the John Cena spot that we were selling, which the John Cena Bounty was like $100,000. And we have the John Cena spot available for $700. And not only are you opening up. Oh, you're. You're not just opening up one box worth. You're opening up a whole case worth of product. So for that $700, I can either open up a whole case worth of that product, or I can spend $2,000 and hopefully get something that I want. Right? So that's just the best bang for your buck. And of course, it's your money. Do what you want with it. I just. I just hope that you guys are smart enough. Oh, old enough that. Are you just wise enough to be able to know that at the end of the day, you don't know what you're getting off of these breaks. So just be cautious, you know, Save your money. That's one of the things that I always like to. When I started buying, reselling and stuff, the whole idea that I had was I sat down and I looked at my finances, and I said, how can I supplement my income to where I can have my phone bill paid for, my little auxiliary things that come out every month, like your Netflix charge and your other, you know, your peacock, you know, charge. Just little things that are annoying that are. You may not. You may not have to have in everyday life, but how can I do this, right? And so, you know, I saw some friends that did it, and I'm like, okay, I can do this. I'm smart enough to do this. And so I just started doing some research, starting to see how ebay worked. And this was around, I want to say, like, 2014, right? And so I was able to find Dude. And it was. It was so easy to do it at first, right, because nobody really was on that game. Like, TikTok wasn't, like, huge back then, you know, only some people knew exactly how it worked. And so I ended up going to a store called Five Below. And at this time, everything was $5 and below. And so I found these. These battery packs that you could have bought with your phone for your phone, and they were selling it for five bucks. And but on ebay, they were selling for like. Like $20. And I'm like, oh, okay, this is a thing. So this was. And then that was just. All day long, I was just going there and buy them. Go in there and buy them. Go in there and buy them. Even if they sell for 20 after fees and whatnot, I'm like, doubling my money. So. So I'm, like, spending five bucks. I'm getting five bucks back, right? I'm like, dude, I can do that all day. So for that. For the longest time, that's how I was supplementing my income. And then it just got broader and broader and broader, expanding my knowledge. What else can I do? Oh, I can go to a thrift store. Oh, I can go to a garage sale. I can do this or I can do that. So that's just an example. Like, if you guys want to do anything like that, you can. Especially because the hobby is getting so expensive. And of course, if you really know what you're doing in this hobby, you can still make money. I mean, you can. You can take the checklist, run it through your favorite AI platform, see the probability of you getting an autograph, getting a number card, and then buying into breaks that way. And just seeing, okay, I put in the checklist, and then like, Simba. Simba is. Simba is a good spot because it's got this and it's got that. It's got the most hits and. Or whatever. Let me go see how much the Simba spots are going. All the breakers. It's like, okay, that might not work. Let me see if I can do this, Let me see if I can do that. And you can do that all day long. And you can sell those cards to supplement some of the income that you want. But I'm always on the. The side of. I like to buy singles, especially with Pokemon stuff. You Know, if you want to rip for fun, go for it, Go for it. But again, I'm not the one that can just go to an LCS and buy a hobby box. $400. It just hurts me. It hurts me. But if you got it like that, you got it like that. I'm so. I'm so glad. And I know that you, Some of you guys are saying you're like, what are you talking about? Right? You're the person that has these insane Pokemon collections. You got the ponchos, you got the gold stars. You got all this stuff. Guys, here's the thing. I've been collecting since 2016. And, you know, some of you guys may not like some of my takes and some of the cards that you need to pick up and some of the other ones. And I'm not saying that just to pump the cards. I'm not saying that just the cards. I'm saying that because I want to give you guys some value of how I did it when I first started in this hobby to be able to collect the cards that I wanted to collect. Right? Especially with the grading. I know the grading is the biggest disaster that it's ever been currently in this hobby. But right now, if I'm telling you guys to pick up these cards, there's an 80% chance that I could be right now. Am I the end all? Do I know everything? Of course not. I'm just telling you what I would do. And this is the. Some of the things that I did early on into my collecting, and I said, I really want a Gold Star Rayquaza. I really want a Gold Star Rayquaza. Rayquaza is one of my favorite Pokemon. What do I need to do to buy Gold Star Rayquaza? Oh, I need $4,000 to buy a four for a gold star Aquaza. I don't have $4,000 that I can justify to buy this trading card, or else my wife will probably divorce me. How can I get this money to be able to get that? Okay, these are some of the cards that are releasing. I think this has. This card has an upside. I'm going to collect all. I'm going to buy this card at this amount of price. I may have a hundred dollars. I may not have a thousand or four thousand dollars. I'm going to buy as many of these cars that I think that are going to be valuable in the future. I'm going to grade them. I'm going to. I'm going to hold on to them. I'm going to trade them to Something bigger and so on and so forth and so on and so forth. If you're in this hobby enough and if you want to learn, you'll be able to make money to get your PC up and running what you want to get what you want. It's, it's. I wouldn't say it's easy, but you do have to kind of like know the market, know what people are collecting and. But yeah, I'll leave it at that. I know I went a little bit off a tangent on there, but speaking on some gold stars we do have this weekend, there was a Gold Star Mew record sale shiny Mew. And of course, if you guys don't know, gold stars are the shiny variant of a Pokemon. Mew being one of the. My favorite ones out of this Gold Star Gold star set. So PSA 10 of the Mew Gold Star sold for $192,000. That's insane. That's insane. Not only because three months ago, a PSA 10 Gold Star Mew sold for $86,000. So it's gone up more than 100k in three months. People are saying that Pokemon is slow, Pokemon is dying. Pokemon is not where it used to be. I'm not seeing it. Let me know if you're seeing it in the comments. When I see record sales like this, a card selling for a hundred thousand dollars more in three months, that's insanity. Do we. Do I think there's a bubble that is fixing to pop? I do not think so. The reason why I do not think so is because I think that the. I think that these companies won't let it happen. I think they learned from the last junk era of wax period in time. And they said, yeah, we. We learned. We're not going to let it happen again. But I simply. I could be completely and utterly wrong. I hope I'm not. But you will never know. You never know. It's just the hobby right now is unprecedented. It's insane. It really is insane. So. But yeah, I just wanted to let you guys be aware of that. Record sale gold stars are some of my favorite cards to collect in the Pokemon hobby. Whenever someone tells me and said, they say, ray, I want to invest in Pokemon, which cards should I get? I tell them first I ask them, how much money do you have to invest? If you can afford these cards, go ahead and pick them up. I always tell them, ponchos number one gold stars number two, and number three being the crystal cards. Those are the three that are the most liquid and investable cards. That you can pick up that are attainable by everyday people with enough capital are the ponchos. Ponchos, gold stars and crystal cards. Now you can get really high up, start collecting first edition Charizards, you know, Pikachu illustrators, things like that. That to the normal person I think is a little unattainable. And I think ponchos are getting to a point. They're a little bit unattainable some of them. You know, they're hovering around 20,000, $30,000 for most of them. And so, man, that's, you know, we're talking about, we're talking about some heavy hitters here. So. Yeah, but gold stars, ponchos crystals. Gold stars, Ponchos crystals. So another thing in the Pokemon news, and I think we'll get off Pokemon after this, but a new set just got train marked. It's called Mega X or Mega X. Mega Parade is the trademark that was trademarked. So why are we bringing this up? We think that this is going to be the January, March set here in the States. A lot of people are speculating that this will be a resurgence of the tag team cards. Now, if you're not familiar with what a tag team Pokemon card is, there was a period in time to where Pokemon did something called tag team cards where they would take two Pokemon and they, they'll put them on the same card and then each card will have like two different abilities. So one of the popular ones, of course, tag teams, you'll have like, I think blazing. No, not Blaziken. It was, you know, like Piplup and Blastoids. And then you have like Celebi and Venusaur, you'll have Zekrom and Pikachu, you'll have Marshadow and Machamp. Right. Just some name of the few. Latios and Latios. That one right there, that is the most, the highest, the most expensive Pokemon tag team card is the Latios and Latius tag team. They call it the Lovebird card. I used that card, that set, that tag team set was only printed once. So that is kind of one of the goat sets. If you see, if you look it up, it is astronomically expensive because they only had one print run. Why did they have one print run? I have no clue. That's a mind boggling thing in my opinion. So those, those Lovebirds, that Lovebird card is so expensive. Early on in my, early on in the hobby, I saw that card as the chase out of that set. And I remember purchasing that card for $800 a thousand dollars. All day long. All day long. And I have flipped. I think I sold maybe four of those Lovebird cards throughout the years to be able to gain my all my gold stars. So that was a card that I used to flip. And in hindsight, I never saw it being as expensive as what it is now. So I wish I would have kept at least one of those cards. But with that being said, do we know if this is going to be a resurgence of the tag team era? We don't. I don't know. I would love to see it because I would love to see those Pokemon come back. I mean, another one that, you know, off the top of my head, the Gengar and Mimikyu cards, those have gone insanely expensive. So just seeing some of those Pokemon again, being in a tag team is. Is great. And hopefully, hopefully it is another tag team set. And I would be more than happy to. To look forward to that set. Let me know in the comments if you guys are looking forward to that set. So another thing that I want to talk about, since we're talking about tag teams, is the new Laura Khanna set, Attack of the Vine. Guys, if you have not seen some of these cards in this product, hold on to your butts, because these cards. Guys, this set might be the set that really blows the lid off of Lorcana Loricana. This might be the set that blows the lid off Lorcana. It's been bubbling, it's been sizzling, it's been bubbling, but I think this is really going to boil it over. Fabled was fire. We have Attack of the vine. Or what is it not? Attack of the Vine. What was the other one? Wilds Unknown. With the. With the introduction of the Pixar characters, you know, the Jungle Ranger buzz going for astronomical money. And the cards are great. The Fable cards are great. But guys, this set, again, we talked about a little bit about the tag team of the Pokemon coming together. The cards in Attack of the Vine. The cards in Attack of the vine or amazing. They're bringing in that tag team element that we saw with Pokemon into Disney Lorcana. And I think this has a recipe to be something that we will. That we've never seen before in this hobby, especially with this new tcg. So I just wanted to go over just some of my favorite cards, and I'm pulling this up on Instagram, so it's going. It's going up. These cards are so good. The artwork on them are so good. So the Fox and the Hound, you have the. The Todd and Cooper card in it. In a tag team, you have the Maleficent and the Diablo card, which Diablo, I guess, is the Rave. Maleficent, Raven, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. And some. Again, guys, the artwork on these cards are. These can be. I know we talked about movie posters last. Last week. These can. All these cards can be their separate movie poster, their separate artwork. Like, I would love to buy a poster and put this on my wall in my game room. Or the Bat Genie and Aladdin, the Marigold, the whole cast of. What is it? Encanto on a card. Mike Wazowski. These are the. All the Enchanted, right? And we've seen the Iconics. These are some of the Enchanted, The Pocahontas and Miku card, the Woody and Buzz Lightyear card, the Sully and Boo card, the Merida card, Winnie the Pooh and Piglet card, Carl Frederickson and Russell card, and Rapunzel and Flynn Rider card. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, Dash Par and Violet Par from the Incredibles, Darkwing Dunk and Launch Pad from Darkwing Duck. I'm telling you guys, this set has the potential just to blow the lid off of Loricana. And I'm looking forward to it. I'm looking forward to it. I want to see these. This TCG grow so much, and I think people are still sleeping on it to a point. To where the Elsa from Winterspell. And I know the Elsa from Winterspell, which Winterspell. Guys, you can still find Winterspell on some store shelves. So if you see Winter Spell, pick it up. Because some of the artwork in that set, we have some of the. The majority of the Disney princesses are there in that set. And they're all. They all have like this specific art style, right? So the Elsa and the Winter Spell. The Enchanted card currently is selling for $766 raw. At the beginning of June, it was selling for 417. So just think about that in a month span. That's how much is increased. So we take a look at the PSA 10. The beginning of June, it sold for $2,600. There are not now consistent sales for $4,000. There are some sales for $5,000 and there are still some. And there are also some sales for $6,000 for this Elsa Enchanted. I think, you know, I. We asked Digital Inc. When he came on the podcast, what is the Charizard? What is the Pikachu? What is the Gengar? What are the top characters that we need to pick up from Disney? Lorcana going into the future? And One of the things that he said that Elsa, Elsa is going to be one of the people that you need to pick up. So if you want to start collecting Loricana or start investing in Loricana, I would advise just by the little bit of knowledge that I have and just a little bit of the, just the little bit about being into Loricana is that I feel like Elsa is going to be that guy or that girl. Elsa's going to be that person that's going to just blow the lid off as going to be the, the, the, the charizard of this tcg. So, but something else that's releasing from Leaf is, did we ask for this? No. Do we like it? Question mark. Maybe Leaf and Benihana, the popular hibachi restaurant, are releasing an 11 card set. Why? I don't know. I know that we. If you didn't know Steve Aoki, which is a dj, his dad is the CEO of Benihana. So I don't know if maybe there's like a weird relationship there because we all know that Stevieoki is a huge trading card collector. So much so, so that it was, it was in this past Marvel Chrome 2026. Jesse did end up pulling a Marvel Chrome Stevie Yoki autograph card, which is amazing. But 11 card set that you can purchase right now on Leaf's website. Each set will contain a base card or a parallel of the following person or subjects. It says this set is insane. Lionel Messi, Barry Sanders, Stephen Curry, Anna Walters, Malachi Toney, Bo Jackson, Pete Weber, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lamine Yamal. The chef, which is the chef. Right. Of Benihana. So Those are the 11. Is that 11? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. I think that's 11. I counted 10, but I guess we're missing one. But yeah. What do you guys think? Benihana Leaf trading cards. Insane. Yes. But I don't know, guys. People like kooky stuff. I know that we talk a lot about hot dogs here on the podcast, especially when Funko's on. And one of the things that I was looking at not too long ago was on ebay, I was looking for Joey Chestnut trading cards. And you know, he's had some from Panini, he's had some with tops with the Allen and Ginter. And there's some with his auto on them. There's not a lot with his on card auto, but there is a lot with the sticker auto. But you can find some with. He'll put an inscription on there, like Joey Chestnut, jaws World Champ, you know how many hot dogs shout out to Joey Chestnut. I know we're just coming off the July 4th holiday. I think he ended up eating 66 glizzies, something like that. I know, I'm here. I'm vacationing with some friends of mine and they have a little boy named Tucker. And so we were talking about goats. Like greatest of all times, he's a first grader. He's fixing to be in first grade. And so we sat down, he was talking about Ray, who's the goat of basketball, who's the goat of soccer. Who's the goat of this? Who's to go to that? Guys, who's the goat of Glizzy eating? Who's the goat of all goats? Joey Chestnut. Joey Chestnut. How many championships does he have? Come on, come on. World eating competition extraordinaire. Joey Chestnut. The jaws of Joey Chestnut. But guys, with that being said, another goat that's in the. That is probably one of the greatest goats of all time is Michael Jordan. Now, if you didn't know yesterday or this is. Or 2 days ago on Sunday. Well, let me, let me, let me back up, back it up. Right be. Beep, beep, beep. So if you didn't know, of course, this year is the 30th anniversary of our beloved Space Jam movie where Michael Jordan takes on the Monstars to save the Looney Tunes from indentured servant. Servantude. Right, Something like that. But 30th anniversary, we know that Michael Jordan and upper deck have a great relationship. I think Michael Jordan has a lifelong contract with upper deck. Michael Jordan also owns a NASCAR team, 2311 NASCAR team with Bubba Wallace. And so on Sunday, Bubba Wallace was in a decked out Space jam Upper deck, 30th anniversary Toyota Camry race car. Guys, the thing looked great. Bubba Wallace was also in a full suit with the same artwork of the car. He did end up. He qualified in eighth place. He ended up finishing in sixth place in the Chicagoland race. That was on Sunday, July 5th. So shout out to Bubba Wallace. Shout out to the whole 2311 team, Michael Jordan. To continuing to give us that nostalgia that we all need from Space Jam. So we also have some. Something that's releasing. We have some Lego sets that are releasing some Pokemon Lego sets. I believe it's 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 different Pokemon Lego sets that you can currently pre order. The one that I'm excited about is that there is a pokeball that you can open. Polly Pocket, Mighty Max style. If you guys remember those little I don't even know what you would call it. It's like these little playsets that you can. They're almost like clamshells that you would open up and you had like little things, you know, Mighty Max would like, be on an adventure, an Indiana Jones style adventure where he would take on monsters and some other stuff. And you have these little bitty miniature guys and you would move them around. Same thing with Polly Pocket, but that was more of like the girl, you know. I don't know. I don't know what they did to that. I didn't have Polly Pocket. I had a Mighty Max. But yeah, so those resell really well too. So if you find some of those in your garage sales, pick them up for sure. But anyways, so the new Pokemon LEGO set, there's a Pokeball that you open up, Polly Pocket, Mighty Max style. And inside it is the whole scene of every millennial's nostalgic feeling of turning on the Pokemon Red game, turning on the Pokemon Blue game, turning on the Pokemon Yellow game, and picking your first ever Pokemon. Will it be the Charmander? Will it be the Bulbasaur? Will it be the Squirtle? You're sitting there with Professor Oak. So that shows off that scene with the three pokeballs on the top. And on the bottom you'll have the first fight scene between two of the characters. The main character being Red and the other character being a default character. Character that you would name can either be Gary, like they did in the anime, or be Blue like you did in the manga, or be your. Your favorite rivaled childhood bully that you would did like I did, shout out to my boy Erod. So. So that depicts those two scenes in that Pokeball. But the. What I really like about this LEGO set is that you'll get a legitimate Pokemon Professor Oak minifigure, the red character minifigure, and then you'll get the rival character minifigure. But also you would also receive the Pikachu minifigure and an Eevee minifigure. And these are legitimate minifigures of this. This isn't the like Lego Mario where they have like this weird Blocky Mario or just a, like a Lego friends or whatever. These are mini figures, so it's a little expensive. I think it's like $249, which I think is a little bit overpriced. But if they don't make any more Professor Oak Ash or Ash or Red, in this case, Pikachu or Eevee Minifigure going forward, this set is going to do. This set is going to do numbers. This set is going to do numbers. I haven't really looked at these minifigures to see the details of them, how well they were printed. You know, we all like dual molded legs, fully printed minifigure. And that's deep in the weeds of LEGO collecting, right? So I know that early on we got announced all these new Pokemon LEGO sets, right? And they were great, they were whatever, but they were expensive, right? But in the LEGO hobby you want these minifigures, these are the, this is the set that I would pick up for myself, only because of the minifigures. Keep it sealed, sell the minifigures. Especially that Professor Oak minifigure that just looks. Chef's kiss. Let's rock and roll, baby. So another thing that I wanted to bring up, and this is actually pretty big, so we all know around. What was it? 2020, 21, 22, there was a new game that jumped on the scene. A almost looked like a Teemu Chinese ripoff, direct ripoff from, from Pokemon called Pal World. This was basically a. Some like to call it a Pokemon with guns, right? So direct rip off some of the characters in Power Pal World look like exactly some of the characters from Pokemon, right? So this game did gangbusters just because during this time Pokemon didn't really have a really great 3D video game. And to see this small game developer make such a great looking game and all the mechanics are basically the same. Like you catch these monsters, you, you make them work, you make them fight other monsters and they can have guns and all this stuff, which is insane. But to see how well that game looked and to see some of the mechanics that are almost, you know, bar for bar, just like Pokemon and did it better than Pokemon, man, that was crazy. And you get, you get jokes to this day. Oh, that Pokemon looks like it's from palworld. That Pokemon looks like it's from Palworld. Power. Oh, Power World. Pal World for as little as it was out. And I want to preface this, that when it was out, made a lasting impact for a lot of people. So, so much so that this definitely got on the radar for Pokemon and game Freak and they automatically slapped him with a lawsuit. But the one thing that Pokemon made a mistake with this lawsuit is they, they, they filed the lawsuit for patent infringement and not copyright protection, right? So with those two, and I'm not a lawyer, I'm not going to sit here and say that I'm know everything that has to do with legalese or what have you. But the patent infringement is kind of like what the. Like how the game works, right? The game Pal World was very similar to Pokemon, where you can capture these monsters and put them in the thing and make them do this or make them do that or what have you. So they fixed the game. Palworld made it to where they can fix it. And I think they made a mistake, but not Pokemon made a mistake, but not suing them for copyright infringement. Because of July 30th this month, we are going to see a new TCG. A PAL World TCG, ladies and gentlemen. And this is absolutely insanity to me to see that a ripoff of our beloved Pocket Monsters is going to have a tcg and this brand is still thriving. And this just opens up the floodgates of other imposters that are riding on the coattails of her beloved Pokemon is. I don't know. I don't know. I want to say that I hate it, but this is only going to competition, man. Something about competition just does something to people, right? And I don't know if the Pokemon company cares enough to step up their game and do better, especially for the video games in the tcg. Do they need to do better? You don't see any Pokemon sets on shelves? I don't know. We'll see. But I want to say that competition is a good thing. Maybe this will kind of wake things up, rattle the cage, shake the boat, ruffle some feathers to cause Pokemon to really start doing better. So let me know what you guys think. But something that I has come to my conclusion, which this is. Well, I don't know, but I just thought about it because, you know, I've been breaking wrestling product with Jesse for, I don't know, since. I don't know how long. But anyways, I feel like I wanted to bring this up because I feel like trading Rust Trading cards, there's an opportunity there that is very much like sports cards, but very much like TCG cards all in the same, all at the same time. Because a lot like TCG cards is that people only purchase certain spots or characters or wrestlers that they have a. A heart for that they want to collect for. Right? And so that's very much like this TCG world, not like the sports cards world is that it doesn't matter what the spot costs is that they are a Trish Stratus fan, they are a leader fan, they are an Undertaker fan, they are Randy Orton fan and they are going to buy that spot. And so very much like sports cards, I think there's an opportunity for you guys to make money on wrestling cards very much like sports cards to where you see performances based on the players of sports cards. And I know there's not stats in wrestling very much like they do other sports. You know they'll have a good game and their stock goes up. But let me, let me tell you how you can. Let me tell you how this could be a possibility going forward in the future. Because currently, right now in the WWE landscape there is such a, I wouldn't say a divide, but there is a gap between the current main roster main eventers to up and comers. Everyone, all your main eventers are pushing 40 plus and there's nobody really in that nice little meaty middle. And everybody's either super young or super old. And so right now is a time to where a lot of you guys can get into breaks, go on ebay, purchase some of the cards of some up and coming wrestlers that will be main eventers, that will be the CM Punks, the Cody Rhodes, the Rhea Ripley's, the John Cena's, the Rocks going forward right now. And their stock will only increase in value. And one of the things that I really enjoyed with the the way that Topps is doing the wrestling products is you get to see who's the rookie out of this set. What's the rookies out of this. So I wanted to give you guys some WWE Superstars that I think that are potential main eventers that are extremely undervalued currently in any breaks, any ebay listings that I think that if you purchase some of these cards you will Most likely see 2x3x4x10x down the road if you are patient enough. Especially if you get something that is nice, a nice little autograph, a nice little patch auto, nice little rookie card refractor, a nice little five out of five, a nice little 10 out of 10. Right? So let me give you some names. First of all, this is an obvious one. This is an obvious one. Have you been seeing any kind of any kind of wrestling product in the last few years? I'm going to give you two. One isn't for sure. One's a maybe. And I'M going to tell you why it's a. Maybe Obafemi is going to be a downright superstar to a point to where he's currently in a program with Brock Lesnar. To Brock Lesnar. To losing to him just to put him over, just to increase his stock going forward. Obafemi is going to be a main eventer. Obafemi has the. A lot of people in the wrestling space, they call it the. The airport look, right? The person that you see at an airport and you're like, wow, that guy has to be somebody. I'm looking at this guy and like, I don't know if you're a basketball player, I don't know if you're an actor. I don't know if you're a professional wrestler, but you, sir, have some sort of look. Obafemi is that guy. Obafemi is that guy. I think his cards are extremely undervalued currently. Obafemi's autograph is fantastic. You get an Obafemi patch auto or Obafemi super fracture. Obafemi out of five. Amazing. Another wrestler that I want to bring up, Sol Ruka. Sol Ruka is the only thing that I think that might hinder Soul Ruka because they're pushing her to the moon right now. Her athleticism. Athleticism is out the roof. But the only thing that I have that may be lacking and this only could be. This could be a factor only just because. Because she's so young and she's getting pushed to the main event spot so early in her career, is that her mic skills or promo skills are up to par with what a main eventer looks like. So that's the only thing that I have my skepticisms about. But I do think that Soul Rookie is a main eventer. I do think that Soul Ruka cards are going to increase over time. You see that some of the Soul Ruka cards spots are expensive, and that's for that. That's for that reason. Everyone's putting their money on Sol Ruka. I am a little on the fence only because of her mic skills, but I digress. You see another. Another darling that you see come up is Kendall Gray. Kendall Gray, in my opinion, has all the intangibles to be a main event superstar. All the intangibles. Kendall Gray is a amazing Olympic wrestler in her career in college. Now she's a professional wrestler. She has all the physical abilities. I think she's good on the mic. I think this girl is going to be an amazing superstar going forward. And you can see Some of the spots, if you go to any WWE break, you'll see that that candle Gray spot will be one of the first spots to sell in any break. So Kendall Gray, pick her up. Kendall Gray pick her up two other ones and then we'll get off the subject. Ricky Saints is a main event superstar. The only thing is I don't think that he might be not as big as you want from a main event superstar. His might skills are through the roof. My skills are through the roof. Pick up those Ricky Saints cards. Another one that I think is criminal, criminally, criminally, criminally undervalued is Trick Williams. Trick Williams, ladies and gentlemen. I'm looking right at the camera because I think that Trick Williams has the potential to be equal par or if not succeed the Rock. And I know some people said some people are like why is Ray cursing all of a sudden? I think he is the level of what Rocky Johnson the Rock will be or he might surpass the Rock. Trick Williams mind skills are incredible. Trick Williams athletic ability better than the Rock. Trick Williams is look is amazing. I think Trick Williams has the potential to be a similar Dwayne Johnson like superstar in the future and I don't think people want to give him enough credit for that. Now you can see that in his card market. That's my personal opinion. I wanted to give you guys those. So some of those nuggets and last thing that I have today guys is that I looked for this. Gibson sent me this but they're allegedly Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce got married over the weekend at Madison Square Garden, the most famous arena in the world and someone had a handkerchief handkerchief first sale on ebay. I don't know if this is true or not. It says TNT wedding on the listing. The person had zero percent feedback on the listing. I went to look for it again. I didn't see it. Complex also posted about it on their Instagram page. I don't know. I know that Taylor Swift is an on a recurring subject matter here on the podcast and we love Tay Tay shout out to Taylor Swift, Hendersonville High School alum just like myself and Mr. Gibson.
