So, starting off at number one, I mean, come on, Mu Ex, sir, that's the Bubble Mu. I believe it's going for a whopping $1,010.37 a ton more than last week's number one. Number two is Charizard ex the sir for $294.65. Still a ridiculous amount of money for a Zebra Charizard. Number three, though, is Gardevoir EXD SIR for $181.52. But then we get into shinies. Lots and lots of Shinies. Number four is the Shiny Pikachu for $83.15. Damn. Number five is the Shiny Snorlax for $57.87. Followed by the Shiny Charmander for $56.86. And then the Shiny Mimikyu. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Still a lot considering. A lot of money. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh But a hell of a lot better without the Mew. Yu-Gi-Oh Now, my favorite freaking Pokemon Gengar. Well, the entire Evolution line is my favorite. And I like Mimikyu. I mean, you can kind of see him. Nope. This way. Kind of poking behind me there in the back corner. I forget which way to point. I point this way, Right? Which makes sense because it's. Yu-Gi-Oh somehow I decided to point this way for some stupid reason. You see, Gengar is coming out with the collab, so it's. And Pokemon is entering its fourth decade with no shortage of projects to be excited about, especially in fall. In the review of Pokemon Wins and Waves, which I don't know. I don't know if I'm gonna buy that when it first comes out. I don't know. Although Game Freak has confirmed the island based setting, three new starters and a planned 2027 release, alleged leaks have teased some amazing and unexpected evolutions such as Houndour and possibly even Onix. Yep. However, rumors have suggested Winds and Waves could also introduce hundreds of new Pokemon, some with brand new Topps as well as battles involving multiple enemies, expanded online features and one of the franchise's largest regions yet, however, is with being Pokemon 30th anniversary this year, fans have yet another major announcement to look forward to, and it includes a redesign of one of the most iconic Ghost Pokemon of all time. Introduced in red and blue, the Ghost Poison type, Gengar has maintained essentially the same design with a stout body, pointed ears, red eyes and a sinister grin for 30 good old years. Its spirits and proportions have been altered slightly over the years, but Gengar itself has never received a permanent redesign, only alternate transformations such as the Mega Gengar and gigantic game Gengar. That is, until now. You see. After months of rumors and leaked info fueling speculation about a new line of Pokemon themed sneakers, ideas of all people have officially confirmed a Pokemon Adidas collab with the original's 130 anniversary or sorry, 30th anniversary collection. It will be released in September of 2026. Part of this announcement includes some brand new reveals of previously on scene new designs for iconic Pokemon such as good old Charmander, of course Charizard, of course Mewtwo, Rayquaza, Pikachu, and a brand new redesign for the beloved ghost trio, Ghastly Haunter and Gengar. Yu-Gi-Oh they're coming out with one for each one of them. That's interesting. While each of the unique Ghost Pokemon sneakers offer fans a new way to show off their favorites, Gengar's mischievous Yu-Gi-Oh design placement on the sides and signature grin are represented here perfectly and are sure to be a top choice among the several options introduced in the full lineup. Beyond Ghastly Hunter and Gengar, the expanded Pokemon Adidas originals collection includes several sneakers inspired by Pikachu, the complete Charmander evolution line, Mewtwo and Rayquaza. Pikachu receives Multiple superstar and pro model designs, while Mewtwo appears across the Zamba ZX 8000 and handball special. However, Rayquaza may be the most surprising reveal as the Legendary breaks the collection's heavy focus on the original Kanto Pokemon and receives two distinctive performance inspired models. Overall, it's been an exciting week for sneaker heads and Pokemon fans alike. This new Adidas line is an exciting way to celebrate 30 years with the beloved franchise. And good luck getting them. And if you do get them, they will be for about seven or eight times msrp. Yu-Gi-Oh That's incredible. That's insane. Most likely. Most likely they will be. Yep. No, I'm good with that. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, as much as I want them, I don't know if I would wear them per se, because like, like I. Yu-Gi-Oh I live in a town, but I do a lot of like, rough ground walking. You know, it's very rocky. It's, you know, crap like that. I quite literally blow through a pair of shoes every couple months. Like I do a crap ton of walking. And I mean, I'm. You would just wear them out so fast. I would honestly probably pop a hole in the heel. Yu-Gi-Oh Because that's my go to nowadays is I literally pop a hole through the heel of my shoes because I guess I'm a little heavier on my heels. But it's also because I'm walking across gravel. And that's true too. Yu-Gi-Oh Rocks and stuff for that. So I notice I do the same thing. I mean, mind you, I. I just started buying shoes that are like ironically, I have a pair of Adidas, just the black with the white stripes. And even still, like with those, I try not to walk far in them. I just wear them for like everyday shoes when I go to a store or whatever. But I haven't worn them. Like when I go for big, big walks, I do not wear them because I know I'm gonna wear them out. Like you said around the heel and. And mainly the heel. It gets worn out so freaking fast. Yu-Gi-Oh So that's why I'm like, I would not wear those shoes unless I had a double of the a pair. Maybe even then it would kill me because Yu-Gi-Oh they're freaking. They're gonna be a lot, a lot of money. So much design to them. Yu-Gi-Oh I would, I would feel like, for instance, like I have a pair of Vessies that are white, which. Holy. Why, why would you have white shoes? But I mean, at the same time, Vessi's are meant to be soaking wet and still be dry. They essentially clean themselves. Yu-Gi-Oh So that's the only reason why I have those. But like, again, like I'm very strategic of where I walk with them and I only wear them when it's been pissing rain for the last several hours or whatever. Yu-Gi-Oh Ironically, like you know how I was saying like I will punch a hole through the heel of my shoe. Ironically when I do things like the Spartan race. I've noticed with my OCR shoes that the front of the shoes are wearing out quicker than the back simply because you're going. You're spending a lot of time going down a mountain or up a mountain. So you're digging your toes into the ground or digging. Yu-Gi-Oh To stop yourself from sliding down the mountain. Exactly. Or simply because you're using the heel of your toe to try and slam yourself into a wall to climb up a four, six or eight foot wall. Yu-Gi-Oh So I find the toes of those shoes wear out quicker than the actual heels because it's not a very heel focused type of race. Yu-Gi-Oh Which ironic. But now we're going to look at how to play the Pokemon Red, Blue or Yellow Recomp on your Android Retro and Windows Handheld. Oh, so you probably have already seen this around, but there's a brand new way to play the original trio of Pokemon games. A couple weeks ago Gen1 recomp landed on GitHub, touted as love 2D recognition recreation of Pokemon Red and Blue. An update earlier this couple weeks ago brought along support for Pokemon Yellow and we're here to share how to install Gen1 recomp on your various handhelds. So what makes Gen1 recom particularly exciting isn't just that those childhood classes have been recreated, but that there's also support for mods. It didn't take long for one mod in particular to make waves as Dramatic Shape Voxel Mod has also landed on the GitHub. Once the mod is installed, you can experience Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow in a all new 2.5D point of view. So while the story hasn't changed unless you want to Gen1 recomp and the dramatic Shape Voxel Mod make this feel like a remake that should have come from Nintendo. But how the heck do you actually play it? Well, getting the recomp up and running is pretty straightforward for the most part. What people recommend is doing is downloading and locating all the files listed below, which there's. There's a. There's only three files actually. This makes it easier to transfer to whatever device you're using without hunting around for files. There's a Pokemon Gen1 recomp project and then there's the Shape Fox a mod. But then you have GB or GBC ROM for red, blue, and yellow. So if you want to use it on a x86 handheld and devices, you need to head over to GitHub. Download the Gen1 recomp release for your platform, Windows, Mac, or Linux. Download the Dramatic Shape Voxel mod from the GitHub page linked above. Do not extract the zip file. Then you extract and install the Gen1 recomp app for your device. Once installed, open the app, navigate to the corresponding game that you want to play, tap the button, and then select the appropriate ROM file, navigate to the mod section of the app, the app drawer looking icon, tap the Import mod zip button button, and load the Dramatic Shape Voxel or, sorry, Dramatic Shape xx zip file. You go back to the game tab that you want to play and tap Play now for Android handhelds, phones and tablets. Again, you go over to GitHub, download the Android APK file, download the mod from the GitHub page, open the File Manager app of your choice, and install the Gen1 recomp apk file. Once it's installed, you open the app, navigate to its corresponding game, tap the button and select the appropriate rom. Go to the mod section, tap the import mod zip, and then go back to the game and start playing Retro handhelds. Which, I mean, same time if you're using a retro handheld like the Game Boy advance, just get the game. Yu-Gi-Oh literally, okay, it's modified and it looks cleaner and this and that, but just get the damn game. Just get the game. Yu-Gi-Oh get the freaking game. It's damn near pretty much the same thing, you know, you download the mod zip from gen1 recomp, extract the contents of the folder, power off your Retro handheld and connect the micro SD card to your PC. Transfer the following to the ports folder Gen1 recomp SH and the Gen1 recomp entire folder. Place your Pokemon red, blue or yellow ROM in the following directory ROM ports Gen1 recomp and then love game safely eject the SD card from your computer, insert it back into your Retro handheld, and power it on. Navigate to the port section, open up the port, use the D pad to move the mouse cursor to select the game you want. Select Import a ROM to play, and off you go. Yu-Gi-Oh pretty straightforward. Ish, but Yu-Gi-Oh even this newer than the original Pokemon Recomp as there's a new dual screen mod for the name of Kanto Gear. When enabled on dual screen handhelds like the one-of-one Thor, I've never heard of that console before. The bottom screen is filled with a variety of options depending on what you're doing according to the developer. Includes Map Touch based battle controls, contextual actions, or Root Encounter Guide, which is pretty freaking cool. I would love a Root Encounter Guide. Now. The only difference here is that the order to in order to make use of the Kanto gear, you'll need to install the developer's fork of Pokemon Recomp. In addition to that, the developer also forked the dramatic Shape Voxel mod as they're working on improving the performance of the mod on Android handhelds. I mean, I would love to have the original games of the games I want to play and the original handhelds that they play them on. However, games are not cheap. No, they're not. And I was always saying to myself, because I got rid of my sp, my Game Boy sp. I used to have yellow and I used to have silver and crystal, and like a fricking moron, I got rid of them. I gave them away. I traded in my Game Boy SP when I first started working an actual job when I was 16, I traded that in to put towards a DS because I was too fucking cheap to just use my check on a fucking ds. I had to cut it in half. So it kind of pisses me off looking back at it, because I'm like, why didn't I just. I was too fucking cheap and that. And the other thing, too is that Game Boy was really special to me because it was a. It was the common color, the navy blue. Yu-Gi-Oh It was a navy blue one. Oh, that. I got that and my dad got me. He got me that and he got me my ruby and my Zebra Mind you, I still have both those games, okay. But I traded in the freaking sp and I look back at it, I'm like, why the frick did I do that? Because not only did my dad get it for me, but I had that thing. I got it when I was, I want to say 13. And I traded it in when I was like, I don't know, high, high teens and not thinking, like. Like 16, 17, and not thinking anything of it and then looking back at it. Even in my 20s, I was like, why in the world did I do that? Yu-Gi-Oh You know, because I. I agree. Handheld, like, you can go and freaking play a mod on your phone, but, like, I feel like playing it on the actual system or, you know, or a Game Boy sp, whatever, advance, whatever you have is so much more nostalgic and rewarding than it is to load it on a phone and play on the phone. Yu-Gi-Oh Oh, God, Yu-Gi-Oh You know, or on the computer. Like, they're not meant to be those Topps of games, you know? Unless, like, right now, like in today's world. Yu-Gi-Oh we can play our switch. Like, if we hook it up to our monitors, we can do that. Yu-Gi-Oh okay. Yu-Gi-Oh that I get. But it's not, you know, when you get older games, you can't do the nice. Like just playing it on the original freaking systems. No. Yu-Gi-Oh so I agree with that. I. I want to have, like, my. I want to try to somehow get in the Game Boy sp, because I'm sad about that. Yu-Gi-Oh And finally, we're going to be looking at our Gen4 pick for the Pokedex, followed by our Pandora pick for Power Keepers. So for Gen4, I Beckett a Pokemon because of how it's described in the games or in, like, anime and YouTubers. They, you know, describe this Pokemon as being a tank. You know, it's just. It's a defensive beast, and it's Purugly. So Purugly is a brazen brute that barges its way into another Pokemon nest and claims it as their own. I find that that's funny. It's a piece of shit asshole. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, look at the. Look at the. Look at it. It's a piece of crap. It does have a resting bitch face. It really does. I mean, and it acts like a bitch. Apparently it just claims people's. People nest to itself. Other Pokemon nest is their own. It's just. Yu-Gi-Oh it's a jackass. And I love how they named it Per. Ugly. Like, I'm like, you have something like skitty. And Skitty's like, oh, it's cute. You know, it's all right. And then just goes ugly. It's like, Yu-Gi-Oh I don't want to evolve that. No, that's. That's one instance when you don't want to evolve it. Yu-Gi-Oh I like it because we chose completely random freaking Pokemon for this mine. Mine is really random. I don't even like the Pokemon. It's actually an item, if you think about it. Okay. I chose Bronzor. And again, I'm gonna read the diamond and Pearl Pokedex entry. So my favorite, though, is the second one. So the diamond says, implements shaped like it were discovered in ancient tombs. It is unknown if they are related. Okay. Okay. And then. And then in Pearl, it says X ray photos were taken to check its body structure. Nothing appeared, however. So it's like it's not even a living thing. It's just hollow. Yu-Gi-Oh So I. I was like. I went. I went for that because I was like, you know what? It's random. But, Yu-Gi-Oh I thought was interesting. Interesting. First, a steel psychic. Yu-Gi-Oh And finally, our picks for the Pandora for Power Keepers. So for me, I remember now why I Beckett this Pokemon. Well, there's kind of two options or two reasons why. One, I Beckett it because it has to kind of deal with last week's episode, you know, How? Last week I Beckett a Duskull for my Pokemon. That's funny. I was just kind of sitting there, I thought, well, I don't want Duskull because I mean, that's common and I don't like, you know, the end evolution. I mean it's good, but it's, you know, it's Yu-Gi-Oh it's basic. But what about the middle? Nobody really talks about the middle evolution. Yu-Gi-Oh that's true. I went with dust clops number 14 out of 108. But the non hollow version, you see, I went with the non Holo version partly because I already had the non hollow version. But also sometimes the non Holo just looks better than the Holo. Yu-Gi-Oh Especially when they're dark like that. When it's a dark type version of a card. Especially, you know, the psychic. Yep. You kind of lose the Holo in the artwork. Especially when like the background itself is darker. Exactly. If it was a brighter background, the Holo would look really nice. Yu-Gi-Oh but I find like darker backgrounds like that, it just makes the background look even darker and you kind of lose the background. Exactly. No, I agree. Yu-Gi-Oh like, and I, I prefer non hollow sometimes simply because I want to see the background. Yep. And Ken Sugimori did the artwork for this and you know, it'd be a bit of a dick move to cover up his artwork in a hollow foil. But I mean, at the same time, I also kind of Beckett it for the moves because the moves are kind of weird. You know, two energies for one and three energies for the other, which is a bit obnoxious for a stage one. However, for your three energies, one psychic and two colorless. It's called Mysterious Light. It does 50 damage, which is pretty, pretty nasty when Dustclops himself is only an ADHP Pokemon. Just so then you can potentially protect yourself from being hit for the next turn or whatever. That's weird. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, Dark mind. The other move was one psychic energy, one colorless. It did 20 damage, though, which was kind of a dick move. Like 2 energies for 20 damage. However, it also does 20 damage to one of your opponent's bench Pokemon. And you don't apply weakness or resistance for the bench Pokemon. So you're just hitting for a flat 20. So you are technically doing 40 damage for two energies, but you're kind of splitting them up. So it's kind of a. Yu-Gi-Oh meh. The fact that you can't apply weakness or resistance, it's good and bad because, like, resistance could. Well, resistance would essentially nullify that move. Case in point, you know, dust clops is 30 resistance against fighting. So, I mean, in some cases you're. You're not gonna even touch that Pokemon. But that's interesting though. It would be. It would be nicer if it had applied weakness because at least then you're hitting for like potentially 40 damage to a benched one Pokemon. Yu-Gi-Oh exactly. But Yu-Gi-Oh that's kind of why I Beckett Dust Clops was simply because, like, you know, last week I. I Beckett Dusk Skull. Yu-Gi-Oh So it kind of like worked out really well. Yu-Gi-Oh in a sense. But what did you pick for Powerkeepers? So I did not pick the. There's actually a stamp version of the card too. Did not pick that. I just Beckett the. I believe it's a regular non hollow card. The picture I have of it has the pot, the stamp on it. But anyways, for some reason, I've been thinking a lot about this Pokemon. I don't know why, but I was working like a week or so ago and I thought about it because of. I work at a pet store. We have, you know, occasionally we have ferrets and they're related to other animals, all that. So I thought of this Pokemon, Zangoose, because it's technically a mongoose, I believe, but it's from Hoenn, obviously. It's. It's kind of like a. It's not like fur it, but it's. I would think it's kind of in the same class of family, but with Zangoose. The thing is, it's. It's a Hoenn Pokemon. It has no evolutions. It looks pretty. Pretty badass and. But you don't hear a lot about it. It doesn't have a lot of cards. So in this sense, I. It's card number. Just to make sure I get the right number. 25 of 108. And I don't know, it just. It's basically standing in front of. In the picture, grass that's really tall. And then the sky is like darker in the background. It's kind of cool how we both Beckett like a basic background card for this week. Yu-Gi-Oh But I liked. I liked. You know, the art's just basic, but like the moves on it. So it has 70 hp. It's a colorless energy Pokemon, normal type. So it has a poke body that's thick skin. And it says Zangoose can't be affected by any special. Special conditions. So that's good. Yu-Gi-Oh Then it takes one energy for call for family. I think that's. I always think that's funny. Call for family. Search your deck for up to two basic Pokemon and put them onto your bench. Shuffle your deck afterwards. So I guess, like, if you had. In this case, I don't even know what the heck the family would be. For basic Pokemon. It could be anything. It's weird. Well, it kind of plays into like the later games of like, sun and Moon where you would have a random Pokemon show up for like, the call for help. That's. Yu-Gi-Oh Even though in this case it's like it's way before it's time. You're calling oddish. Yu-Gi-Oh And it's. Your Zangu is calling an oddish, but it's called for family. So it's like, how are you related to an oddish? That's funny. No, but. Yu-Gi-Oh that. I just found that interesting and that the fact that you point out it's before its time in the games. And then the second move is two colors. Colorless energies. It only does 10 plus. It's called sharp claws. You have to flip a coin. And then if heads. This attack does 10 damage. Plus 20 more. We haven't really seen that many cards of it. I'm kind of tempted to Google it and see how many there are. Yu-Gi-Oh there's no Megas. There's no, you know, they never. Mega Zangoos. Yu-Gi-Oh Be hilarious. It'd be crazy. But there's nothing. They would probably come up with some stupid bullshit like, like the Scrafty. Yu-Gi-Oh You know how Scrafty's Mega became like an emo kid. Yu-Gi-Oh exactly. Freaking Zank. They would probably do something like that with Zane, something like that with Zangoose because like, oh God, it's just so underrated. But like it has a freaking kick ass like vibe to it and like I just feel like it. Like you said, they probably mess it up horribly. But like my two main reasons were surprisingly not the artwork for once but because I like art. I like artwork a lot, but I gotta say it's mainly because it's underrated and I liked. I actually did like the thick skin poke body, but I thought that was interesting. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh I never really used the Poke bodies when I used to Blue Ice a kid because I didn't understand it, which is silly. But now looking back and seeing like how how certain cards have, you know, a poke body or whatever, you know, a special ability, I think it's. I don't even think I. Well, I never played that era of Pokemon cards. Me neither. I was simply like Base Jungle Fossil. Yu-Gi-Oh I did up, I did up until like Hoenn, but this was way after Hoenn. So I mean, I mean Zancoose is a, is a Hoenn Pokemon. But like this set was later like later on in Hoenn, which was basically the point where I was in my mid teens and I still have the, I still had the cards but like I didn't really play. You know, I only, like you said, I only ever used the vintage sets if I was, if I was lucky. Sometimes I use like Sandstorm or Emerald, the Ex ones. But other than that I didn't really go any further with things. So like we're getting into the, the eras, the, the, the times that like I was too. I thought I was too Cool to play Pokemon. Yu-Gi-Oh that's the thing. So that's what 2007, I was. Oof. Dear Lord. I was in grade 10. Yu-Gi-Oh I was nine or 10. I was one of the 2007. I was nine. I was almost 10. Technically, I. I should have been 10, but, you know, Yu-Gi-Oh I was in grade 10 at that point. So, Yu-Gi-Oh I had better things to do with my day than Pokemon cards. I mean. And now we look back and we regret it. We're like, damn it, why did I just keep collecting? Yu-Gi-Oh Like, honestly, like, well, I mean, even then, grade 10, I. Yu-Gi-Oh I had fall for. I had next to no money one-of-one I mean, I worked in a factory when I was 14, all the way up until 17 or 18 before I became a chef. And Yu-Gi-Oh like, I. I made like on average just over $5,000 every summer. But then that money went towards everything for the school year. And I worked every Saturday during the school year, but even then that was like only what, two or $300 a paycheck? And I would blow through that pretty damn quickly just from going to the mall or whatever or buying my friend's Starbucks because apparently when you make 12 bucks an hour and your friends only make $6 an hour, you become the popular kid to buy Starbucks. Because everyone forgets their wallet, apparently. Yu-Gi-Oh And I was too gullible to catch on. Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Ironically, Starbucks still cost a ton of money back then, as it does today. And you know that they're actually certain coffees that they make it announced that they caused. They have cancer causing. I mean, everything causes cancer, but. Oh God, supposedly. But supposedly one of their cough, one of their bruise is like really cancer causing. You know, I told my boyfriend's brother, my boyfriend's brother about that because he got a whole. We get a huge case of it for like at BJ's, whatever, Costco. And he ended up just throwing. He's like, I'm not drinking that anymore. I looked it up and you were right. So I was like, all right, throw it away. Well, I mean, the way I look at it, like I've worked in a factory that, you know, when you look out the window, the sky sparkles inside the plant because of how much glass dust is in there. I'm not worried about cancer because I probably already have a pound of glass dust in my lungs already. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, if cancer's not going to kill me, the glass dust is probably going to kill me. And I mean, Yu-Gi-Oh whatever, I have adhd, I have autism, whatever, I'll Spin the wheel and collect the next weird BS thing. Yu-Gi-Oh exactly. Like I said, every. Everything causes cancer nowadays. So, I mean, even people who never ever smoked a day in their life get it. Exactly. Whatever it is. Live your life. Yu-Gi-Oh live your life. That's it. I mean, you never know when. When the clock's going to tick on you. I mean, how. What's his name? Dick Van Dyke. He's like, Yu-Gi-Oh he's turning 101 this year, for Christ's sake. That's crazy. 101. I mean, look at Betty White. She was what, 99 or something? Goofy. Yu-Gi-Oh that's crazy. You know, you can be the most healthiest person and drop dead at 30. Yu-Gi-Oh exactly. Obnoxiously unhealthy person and live to be 100. Exactly. Just live your normal life and spin the Wheel of Destiny. Yu-Gi-Oh Exactly. You get 30, maybe get 60, maybe get 90, maybe you come to the next person to live to be 130something years old like some other person in the world. And the scary thing is they're already talking about that too, which is crazy. But, Yu-Gi-Oh it's true. But Yu-Gi-Oh you never know. You never know when your time's up and, you know, everything kills everything. Yu-Gi-Oh Whether it's immediately or long term. I mean, how, how many times were we told to never have our cell phones in our Beckett like as men because it would give you testicular cancer? Yu-Gi-Oh that's true. Okay, sure, standing in front of my microwave could give me cancer. Exactly. Tell me never to use my microwave again. Tell me never use a cell phone again. Screw it. Not gonna happen. I'm gonna live my life. And you know what if I get cancer one day, that sucks.
