So today, like I said last week, we're looking at the Crown Scenic Galarian Cards, Galarian Galleries. There we go. That's the word on on my screen I just have GG and I forgot what the hell that meant for a second. Then we're going to be looking at the five most neglected Pokemon that have the fewest cards in the tcg. And finally the most iconic Gardevar cards, followed by our pick for the on scene forces to go into our binder. Oddly enough, when I was picking my card, I saw a card, ironically, that maybe you would pick just because I saw the artwork and I thought, yeah, this is something that you would be interested in. Yep. So I picked a card that was similar to that or in reference of that in a sense. And I was going to tell you about it, but I thought, yeah, you know what, I don't want to influence your pick, so I'm just going to let you run wild with your own pick. Okay. And. And see if we're telepathically in the same ball range here. So, starting off with the Crom Science Galarian cards, number one is Giratina V Star the Secret Rare at a whopping $402.58. Number two is the Mewtwo V Star, which is $290.51. A pretty substantial drop. And then roughly right behind that One is number three, RCS v Star the Secret Rare at $247 even. And then we take a hundred dollar drop down to origin form Diaga V Star secret rare at $140.89. Right behind that, literally like a dollar. Last is origin form Palkia V Star D secret rare at $139.35. Then there's a small little drop to number six, Darkrai Vstar at $115.08. Then Leafeon Vstar at $89.43. Glaceon Vstar at $78.72. Deoxys Vmax at $76.07. And finally Mew at $72.43 for a grand total of $1,652.06. Now, one thing that I did notice about these prices, and I didn't realize it necessarily when I was doing the prices for this, I realized it more so when I was doing my pick for the unseen forces. You see, call it stupidity. When I looked at TCG player, I punched an on scene forces and it showed Mew I believe it was Mew Ex. And it was like, I don't know what the hell the price said in the corner. It was only like a couple dollars. Oh wow. And I thought, oh sweet. I mean, that'd be a hell of a card to have in the binder. And it's only what, apparently a couple dollars. So I clicked on it to Expand it. It's not a couple dollars. It was. The average price quote, unquote, was just shy of $4,000. So I don't know what the hell that that price is on the side. Whether it's like the absolute bare minimum that you can buy that card for, I. I have no idea. But then that got me thinking about every time we do these top ten cards. And see, every time we do the top ten cards, I just. I find a set and I filter it from most expensive to least expensive. And then top 10 cards, boom, there it is. Oh, okay. So the top 10 cards that I see are based off of the totals that you see on the right hand side. They're not based on me clicking each individual one and seeing what the standard market is, I guess, whatever the hell that is. So theoretically, like, I'm not. I mean, we're. Hell, we're almost done sword and shield at this point. I'm not gonna go all the way back to the beginning and redo this crap. Yeah, way too much work. But in that case, theoretically, these top 10 cards, potentially the cheapest you can get. These top 10 cards is $1,652, theoretically. Which means, you know, for near mint and above, you know, that kind of condition, you're looking at probably well, well above that. Wow. I'll try and keep that in mind for the next set and see if that makes a freaking difference. I. I don't know if I, you know, expand each card and look at the. The going market, actual market rate versus whatever it says on the right hand side if I don't see much of a difference. I mean, at the same time, I might just stick to whatever the hell it says on the right hand side. I mean, like I said, we're so far into this, it'd be incredibly stupid to change it now. Yeah. But, yeah, I just, I stumbled upon that when I was doing the. The research for this podcast, and I thought, oh, well, that's weird. But also, why, like, when you look at the cards on TCG Player, you can pick Reverse Hollow, Hollow, whatever, and you can pick the condition Near Mint, whatever, and it defaults to near Mint, theoretically. So, theoretically, if you're looking for a card near mint, Reverse Hollow, whatever, theoretically, it should show that price on the far right hand side. You shouldn't have the damn card search for each buyer, blah, blah, blah. It. That should just be, hell, even an average. This should. The price on the right hand side should be the average cost of that card in that condition, in that rarity right? Maybe it is, maybe it's not. I mean, in the case of the mew, it sure as hell was not. What did it end up being for that mew? I'm pretty damn sure like a listing was like $3,999 for the E. Yeah, yeah, but again, that was for like the on scene forces or whatever, so. And I believe that mew might be recycled into the 30th anniversary. It might have been one of the artworks, so that's probably why the hell it's so freaking expensive. Yeah, some jackass probably saw that artwork and I'm just speculating because I'm not 100 sure on the cards for the 30th. Again, yeah, I'm assuming some jackass probably thought, oh well, you know, the, the 30th stamp is going to be all hyped. I might as well sell my version for freaking four grand or some bs. Yeah, who knows? Yeah, that was an eye awakening moment when I saw that. But onto the five neglected Pokemon that have the fewest cards in the TCG, starting in at number five is Bramble Ghast. It has three unique designs, two of which are Grass, one of which is Psychic for some reason, and only two of them have Abilities. So it's a Gen 9. Pokemon, surprisingly already has more unique designs than some of its older counterparts on the list. Nevertheless, the dual Ghost Grass type Pokemon does rank among the Pokemon with the fewest unique designs in the tcg. It's tied with regional Galarian farms like Galarian Ponota, Galarian Slowpoke and Galarian Farfetch'd, with which also have just three unique designs as of 2026. By means, are we going to see more glaring farms? Probably not. I really don't like the lion forms, to be honest. No, I mean they're cool to see in the ZA game, but other than that, it's like, yeah, I'm. I'm over glaring. Yeah. But given that this is not a regional variant or a Middle Evolution, it's particularly unusual that it has as many or as few cards as it does. Bramble Gas got its first card in 2023, released in the Scarlet and Violet Paldea Evolved set. It has since appeared in the Temporal Forces and Phantasmal Flames for a total of three. These cards span the Scarlet and Violet era, and we have yet to see the Pokemon return since we made the transition to the Mega Evolution era. Number four is Glastier Glass Terrier. It has two versions and ironically, Bramble Gast had All three versions had that gray border. Glass Terrier has the iconic yellow border and a silver border. Oh, and incredibly, well, ironically, same hp, but very slightly different moves. Ish. So Glass Terrier is a legendary Pokemon that made its debut in Gen 8 certain shield era. However, it wasn't available in the base game, but rather arrived later in the Crown Tundra dlc, which is. I. I never did play that deal. That DLC actually. Oh, okay. I played certain field, but I never ever downloaded that dlc. But ever since then I have downloaded them. I downloaded DLC in Scarlet and Violet and. And Za. Yeah. Weird. This unique status could be part of why this legendary horse, along with its counterpart Specterior, is among the Pokemon's a few unique Pokemon card designs. It made its first appearance in 2022's Sword and Shields Lost Origin. It only recently made its second appearance in 2026 release of the Mega Evolution Ascended Heroes. Before that, it was one of handful of Pokemon with just one design on record. Now however, it has moved up to the world with a grand total of two. Wow. Yeah. And of course number three is Bacterior, the counterpart of the other legendary and again, iconic yellow and gray border. Now I actually forgot to kind of mention, for Glass Terrier, the moves are relatively similar. The older version, you had 40 damage for two energies. And if the defending Pokemon was a basic, it can't attack during the opponent's next turn. When it transitioned to the newest version, it dropped an energy and dropped damage. It went from two energies for 40 to one energy for 20. But also this attack does 20 damage to one of your opponent's bench Pokemon. So it kind of split that 40. It did 22 active and 22 bench. The only move that stayed the same but changed its title and everything was the second move. Back then it was two waters and uncolored. Now it's just three waters, both for 130. Back then, the Pokemon also did 30 damage to itself. However, this time around, during your next turn, this Pokemon can't use the Frosty Typhoon move. Back then it was called Wild Tackle. Now it's Frosty typhoon still did 130 damage. The only difference was now you can't use that move in your next turn versus doing 30 damage to yourself. Which, so to speak, I. I mean, I would take the older version. Yeah. Rather than. I personally would too. Yeah. I mean, I don't. Yeah, 30 damage is a lot when you only have 130 HP, but I'd rather do 40 damage right off the bat to just the Active rather than split and go 20 and 20. Yeah, because 20 really doesn't do. Really? No, it's like a flick. Yeah, it's literally even back then. Now, like I said, number three was Specter. The Ghost type debuted alongside its counterpart in the Crown Tunnel Tundra dlc. And like its fellow Legendary, it has not made any appearances in the TCG since it arrived. The two lend tend to appear together since the legendary Glaring Seeds Steeds. Sorry. Are typically treated as a pair. Like its counterpart, it first appeared in Lost Origin. Until recently, that was the only design in tcg. However, it reappeared alongside its fellow Legendary in the Mega Evolution Ascended Hero set. That means that Specter now has two unique cards, just like his counterpart. Number two is Arctosolt. It only has one. Only one design. And it's the old yellow border. Now, the list of Pokemon with just one single design in TCG is a very short one. But Fossil Pokemon Arctosialt, which first appeared in the Sword and Shield era, is a vetted member of that club. Such a weird, weird Pokemon. Yeah, it's a. I don't think I ever had that Pokemon. I don't think so. Fossil Pokemon do tend to be less popular in the TCG overall, so it's not surprising that the newer edition like this one doesn't have as many cards. Even Gen 1's Kabuto still only has just 13 designs, which is a hell of a lot more than this. And having 13 different designs is not bad at all. Now, despite being part of the Pokemon history from the beginning, now to date, this Pokemon has just one single card design. It first appeared in the Sword and Shield Darkness Ablaze set. That same design has been reprinted as a Black Star promo and for the Shining Face expansion. But as these reuse the same art, it's still just one unique design. So unfortunately, even though they reprinted the card, they use the same design. It only counts as one. Yeah. And finally, number one is kubfu. Tied for the fewest cards in release is the legendary Pokemon kubfu. It first appeared in the Sword and Shield dlc. Isle of Armor is a bit unusual in that its evolved form, Urshifu, has appeared in a total of eight different cards. But as for kubfu, just one design has ever been created. That's crazy. Yeah, right? And unlike the Legendary or the Fossil Pokemon before, it hasn't even seen reprints for promos or subsequent sets. Kubfu's one and only design debuted in 2021's release of the Sword and Shield Chilling Rain and Since then, K Fu has not gotten another card design or even a reprint, despite URU reappearing in subsequent sets, all the way up through Brilliant Stars, which. Yeah, like, what the hell? That's insane. Yeah, yeah. It's probably the only card like with one print. One actual print maybe, and never reprinted. Yeah, but yet Evolution has just been recycled like you wouldn't freaking believe. And some of the cards are worth decent money too. Some of the essay. Yeah, actually. Yeah. And finally, we're going to look at the most iconic gardevoir cards. So of course, Gardevoir has been printed a decent amount of times over the years. The craziest thing about Gardevoir is that so many of the cars have been printed and have seen competitive success as well. The first card debuted in Ruby and Sapphire's 2003 set. It had iconic artwork by the legendary Ken Sugar Mari and a Psy Shadow Poke Pokey Power. Sorry, that let accelerate energy in exchange for taking damage. Next, though, we got the exact. So later that year, the first double prized gardevoir card was released. Like its predecessor, Gardevoir EX could deal limitless damage with its main attack as long as you had enough energy in play. Together, these two cards set the tone for the wildly powerful gardevoir cards that would be printed going forward. For instance, the unique cards which feature Dragon Frontiers, Gardevoir Ex, the Delta Species. It is one of the most interesting Pokemon cards ever printed because its Poke Power Imprison allows the player to place an imprisoned marker onto any opposing Pokemon. While a Pokemon had an imprisoned marker, it wasn't able to use Poke Power or Poke Body abilities. This gardevoir Ex was the only card in the game that utilized Imprison markers. Because of how unique this card is, it was eventually given special recognition by being a Celebrations Classic collection. Then during the Black and White series, most secret rares were printed in shiny Pokemon. So this is a great looking card that's also the first ever shiny gardevoir card. Depending on the condition and the day, this is the most valuable Gardevoir card printed in English as the Dark Explorers Secret Rare version. Okay. Then we got into full art and oh boy, it only goes up from here. So Gardevoir has been around long enough to be printed on plenty of full art cards. But here are just a few of the most noteworthy. The reprints of Gardevoir EX and Mega Gardevoir EX from Generations Radiant Collection are super cute. However, anytime multiple Pokemon show up in the same card, you know you're going to get something incredibly special. And probably pretty pricey. The Mega Gardevoir Ex is also the first Pokemon card that picks a shiny Mega Gardevoir. And then you had Gardevoir and Sylveon GX tag team. Yep. Speaking of multiple Pokemon, this alt art tag team card pulls double duty as one of the most valuable cards ever. And one of the most valuable Sylveon cards ever. Like so many other Gardevoir cards, it's also super powerful. Heideki sano. He took ninth place in the 2019 Pokemon World Championship with a deck built around that card. Do I dare say storytelling. So I have to mention this trio of cards because they're adorable. Oh, I know which ones. Right across the three cards in this evolution line, we get to see a whole lifetime of Gardevoir growing up with this trainer. This isn't the most viable version of the card. That honor belongs to the gorgeous reprint from Paldea Fates. But I love when Pokemon cards tell a story. You know, start off with a little kid. Well, not a little kid, I guess. You know, she young adult, I would say, you know, young adult moves in with her ralts and her boyfriend or whatever. Then, you know, Korea is now sitting with the young woman and her child. And then finally Gardevar is fully evolved and the young lady is a grandparent now. And yeah, it's, it's. It's cool. I like it. Yeah, I like that. Yeah. And finally, we're going to be looking at the strongest Gardevoir cards. Not once, not twice, but three times. A Gardevoir deck has won the Masters division of the Pokemon World Championship. If that doesn't prove how strong Gardevoir cards are, I don't know what will. We're going to travel all the way back to 2008, when a guy named Jason became the first ever two time world champion with his Psychic Lock deck. This deck was all about using Gardevoir's Psychic Lock attack to prevent your opponent from using their poke powers. Gardevoir's own Poke power let you effectively play two supporter cards each turn. You also used Dusknoir to limit the size of your opponent's bench and Claydol's cosmic power to keep cycling cards. Both Gardevoir and Gallade were your main attackers, with Gardevoir controlling the game and Gallade making the big pushes when you really needed to. This deck was one of the strongest picks going into 2008 World Championship, but it didn't really have a bad matchup, and it had a ton of room for powerful tech like the Jolteon Star. Now, the second Gardevoir deck to win a World Championship was much later in 2017, piloted by a guy named Diego. His Gardevoir Ex, or sorry, gx. Sorry was the primary attacker in this deck since it's hit hard and could accelerate Fairy energy onto itself. Those extra Fairy energy, man, I remember I miss Fairy Energy. I know I can't. I still have some of the actual energy cards and some of the basic evolutions. I. I kept them. Yeah, I. I think I have some Fairy Energies. And yeah, I still have Fairy Pokemon. So those extra Fairy energies make Gardevoir GX's attack even stronger. You can see where this is going, right? So outside of the Gardevoir GX package, so to speak, this deck was all about consistency. Instead, you had Octillery helping dig deeper every turn with the Tapu Lily gx, which made sure that you always had a supporter in play. A low in Vulpix and Dalliance made it easier to set up by digging out the essential Pokemon that you needed to play your game. And finally, the third time a deck ever won the championship was recently in 2025 in the hands of Riley. Gardevoir Ex let you accelerate psychic entry from your discard pile to your Pokemon at the cost of some damage. That meant Gardevoir Ex could attack as soon as it evolved. But it also meant you could do some tricks with damage manipulation, like damaging your own Pokemon so you could spread the counters with Monkey Dory or loading up a scream tail with Bravery charm and damage. Counters, so you could deal up to 260 damage to any Pokemon in play. This deck just had so many ways to knock out any of your opponent's Pokemon at any time, which made it flexible and resilient in any matchup. Which, yeah, I mean, Gardevoir is. It's one of those tricky Pokemon in the decks. Like, you can really screw your opponent right up. And that's what I like about it. It's. It's a great Pokemon in the tcg. Yeah. It's not terrible in the games, but the TCG definitely makes up for it. It's really good. Yeah. Yeah. And finally, our picks for on scene forces. Now for my pick. The reason why I picked this card is because I saw a trainer, professor, technically, that had a Totodile latched onto his hand or his arm. Oh, okay. Kind of flailing around. Okay. I thought, oh, you know what? That's a cool card. But what about Totodile? So I went with totodile, number 78 out of 115. Not because of its attack or anything, just because. I mean, I freaking love Totodile. Absolutely love Total Doll. Very underrated, I think. Yeah. I don't particularly like its evolutions. I just really like Tododa. I mean, his damage is not bad. You know, one, one energy for splatter. You choose one of your opponent's Pokemon attack does 10 damage. The tax damage isn't affected by weakness or assistance or resistance. Sorry. So just straight up 10 damage straight across the board. You know, it's a good start in the TCG back then again, 50 hp. So it's. It's not very resilient, but it's a damn cute Pokemon. Yeah, it's. It's definitely one of the starters. I feel even with. I'm trying to think of the game, the newest game that came out. Oh, yeah. Oh, my gosh. Za. Yeah, it's. I feel like it's still underrated. Yeah, yeah. I mean, it's. I picked Trickorita for mine only because that's what I got for the plush. So I. I pre ordered my. My Za game from Pokemon center, and they send you a plush, a random plush of one to three starters. And I thought, you know what? Whatever starter I get as that plush, that's where I'm gonna freaking play the game with. And so I got Chikorita. So I thought, hey, you know what? I love Chikorita. Chicory is a such a amazing Pokemon. I love Bay Leaf. Hate Magnum. Absolutely hate Magnum, but I love Bay Leaf. And Chikorita. Just like I love Totodell, I'm impartial of Craw knot. Yeah, it's an okay Pokemon hate for alligator. It is what it is. But yeah. Now what did you pick for on scene forces? And the art on both of them, I like on both of them because one's like more basic, but it shows momentum like movement in the picture just by looking at it. And then the other one was more of scenery in the background, but I picked the one that was basic and more momentum plus the base off of two people in real life. I chose Hitmonlee number 25 and 115. Okay. It has. So it has. So the first off the picture of it is it's basically just Hitmonlee doing a front kick with like rainbow colored like lines in the background. And I like that because as. As basic as it is, it literally looks like it's in midair jumping towards. I don't know if you see it, but towards the, the. Towards you pretty much yeah, it. Like I said how it was the. It's the opposite of Hitmonchan because Hitmonlee's based off of Bruce Lee. Hitmonchan's based off of Jackie Chan. I also liked looking at their moveset because they both have stages of evolution, which was the poke. The poke body, but they did have different moves. And mind you, even though Hitmonlee's moves were a little bit lower than Hitmonchan, because Hitman Chan had a heavy punch, speedy uppercut, but they needed more energies. And Hitman Lee had has stretch kick, which is one, fighting energy. It choose one of your opponent's bench Pokemon and the attack did 10 damage to that Pokemon. And then the second move took away 40. It was a fighting. And two, colorless. It was mega kick. So it wasn't. And it had 60 hp, whereas, I mean, Hitmonchan had 70 hp, but the moves had. Well, the second one, speedy uppercut, had an extra energy for 50. So, I mean, they weren't totally drastically different from each other, but I just. I don't know. I. I picked Hitmonlee because it was more of a basic art. But like, I, like, I don't know, I just. I saw the two. I couldn't really decide which one I wanted because honestly, I wanted both. Yeah, I mean, I'm so, like, I'm looking at that poke body and see, that's weird. So it's a basic Pokemon. So it doesn't have a pre. At all. Nope. But yeah, it says as long as Hitmonlee is a. Is an evolved Pokemon, hitmonlee's attacks do 20 more damage to your opponent's Pokemon. But how the hell can you evolve it when it's a basic? Or how the hell can it be a evolved Pokemon when it's a Basic? Yeah, same thing with Hitmogen. They're the same. They don't have the evolutions. Yeah, well, I mean, yeah, technically they do evolve from Hitmon Top. Yeah. Hitmontop and Tyrug. But Hitmontop I don't believe was in that set. Nope either. Yeah, so that's pretty. It's pretty interesting. Yeah. Yeah, that's. Yeah, that's an interesting. I know it was random. Which one did you think I was gonna pick? Cyndaquil? No, I thought you were going to pick the. The trainer. It's like professors, whatever. But it has. I think it was Professor Elm maybe. I don't know. But it's got professor with the toilet all hanging off of his arm or his hand. Like, I did see that. Yeah, I was like, you know what, that, that's like, that's a card that she would probably pick. Like, maybe I'm like, I'm not, I'm gonna pick the total kind of in hopes that you picked the trainer because like then they literally went together kind of thing. Yeah. And I saw it and I was like, I did see it though. Yeah, I, I saw that. I'm like, I could pick that card. But that's more of a U card, I think. Yeah. Professor Elm's training method. Yeah. Yeah. But I mean, have him on Lee or even Hitmonchan. That's, that's a good pick. Ironically, there was a person who commented on our, on my post today as we're recording this, who mentioned, you know, I, I love seeing the binder. There's a lot of unique cards in it and stuff like that. Yeah. You know, and I mentioned, you know what, that's what we try to aim for, going for the grails. Because like, sure, we could buy the grails from each set if money was no option. Yeah. But who the hell cares? Who the hell cares if you have a binder full of grails like, yeah, base set, Charizard and Alkazam and blah blah, blah, blah, blah. Cool. That's an expensive binder, but who gives a shit? It's a, it's just the grails. Exactly. Birds that are people don't always look at. Yeah, you, you know, who the hell cares about a trainer from a random early 2000s set or you know, a lackluster Totodile who doesn't hit very hard and has low hp, that kind of thing. But someone might care about the Feraligator or whatever. Exactly. So it's, it's unique. Interesting cards that we like. And sure, they may not be the most expensive cars, sometimes they are, you know, relatively mid range expensive. But we're not going for the most expensive binder in TCG history. We're looking at the most unique cards that we see from each set that we enjoy and hopefully stand out to us too. Yeah. And hopefully, you know, somebody will see these cards and, or will win these binders, you know, one in Canada, one in the US and sit there and go, you know what, you know. Yeah, like these are very unique cards. I mean, at the end of the day the binder is going to cost an arm and a leg when you look at each individual card as a whole. Yeah. But I mean they're unique. They're individually unique. They're special in your own way. Yeah, that's what we, we want to get out of these binders. It's not the most expensive binder in the world. We just want uniqueness.
