This is episode 354 and it's a solo intro today, but I do have a special small segment coming up, which is part of a series called Not For Sale. I started this series about a month ago where the hope was to feature short stories from collectors about cards they currently own, but they would never sell. And if you remember, I kicked it off by talking about my Mookie Wilson Upper Deck Blue Jays card, which happened to be the first card I ever got autographed in person when I was a kid. And I'm lucky to still have it and I was happy to share that story with you. Anyway, if you missed that short two minute segment, I'll add a link to it in the show notes below. But today, I have the second episode for the Not For Sale series and it's from Brian, whose IG handle is atthevaultcollection83. I actually did a full interview with him about his collection a couple of weeks ago, but I'm still in the process of editing it together and that should be released later this month. But in the meantime, I took a part of that interview and I put together a nice clip of the story he tells about a card that you'll see he took him a while to get, but he eventually did. And it's a card for Brian that's not for sale. I'll play that clip in just a minute, but just a heads up, I'm planning and working on doing a couple of podcast episodes abroad while I'm on vacation. Some of you know where I'm traveling, but for a lot of you who don't, you'll find out soon enough, maybe in a couple of weeks, where I hope to record some clips for the pod while I check out the hobby scene from outside of North America. So that's a small clue. It's always harder to record away from home, but I'll try my best. I also want to quickly shout out my YouTube page as we're trying to do more video content in 2026. I recently uploaded the show and tell segment with Daryl Chan, aka DC, who was on our podcast last week. You can check out some of the cards that he picked up recently at the West Coast Card Show. So as promised, here's the next episode of our not for sale series featuring Brian, AKA at the vault collection, 83 on Instagram. Enjoy. Yeah, there is a card. It is. I want to say it's a 2010. It's a paint manning shield. It features the shield and two pieces of game use patches on it. And it's a horizontal card. It has them in a blue jersey, right? As a Colts fan, the white color is also an option. But for me, when I think of the Colts, I think of that blue, just like when Peyton Manning was drafted and he was holding up the jersey being the number one pick, you know, in the 1998 draft that that just image with that blue jersey is just very iconic to me. And the way the card is just set up, it's a shiny card from an angle. It's a one of one. It's game use. And the reason why this card is very special to me is that I want to say I am now either the fourth or fifth owner. The two owners ago, a gentleman, I would message him probably three times every year. I was like, hey, do you want to do you want to sell it, right? So he would be like, no, I'm not interested in selling it. This is a PC card. I'm going to keep it. And then one day, another collector randomly posts about it. And I'm like, what in the world? Like this guy knew I was chasing it forever. And somehow it ends up in the other person's hands. Then I was like, just I just reached out. I was like, hey, you know, you know, I was really interested in he's like, oh, hey, I'm sorry. You know, I didn't. It was a good friend. So I decided to sell it to him. And now fast forward. I randomly saw it online from Matt's sports cards. So I reached out. Matt is a really cool guy. He's very accommodating. You know, it took some time to gather my funds, make some moves. Right. But he he had the card for me and I acquired it. But that's one card that I'm never going to move. I don't implant or don't plan to trading it, selling it. It is like my favorite card of all time just because of how hard it was for me to acquire it. Hey, thanks for listening to Cards to the Moon.
