The greatest tournament in all of sports is going on right now, and we've got a few players from that tournament. Plus, the NBA playoffs have come to an end, but that doesn't mean we don't have a few of those players on our list. Plus, you know, there wouldn't be a top five during this season without some baseball. We're counting it all down today on the top five cards. Hey, everyone, welcome back to another top five cards going up. My name is Teller, another cop, better known as TP Pot, here inside the Arena Club studio inside of Cards hq. And I'm filling in once again for Jeff. Happy to be back here. It's been a minute since I got to sit in this seat, and I'm excited because we've got some really exciting players. We've got some exciting sports stuff going on right now, and we're going to break down all of the price movements, both the ups and the downs. And of course, today's top five is sponsored by Whatnot. Whatnot has awesome live auctions every day and night, Starting at just $1 for packs, box breaks, singles and more. It's a lot of fun. Now let's take a look at the overall sports card market with market pulse by market movers over the last seven days. The SCI 500 index of the 500 most prominent sports cards is up 0.9% over the last 30 days. The SEI 500 is up 3.5%. And since January 1st of 2026, it's up 29.7%. The best performing category of cards over the last 30 days is Formula 1 from 1966 to 2021, which is up 5.2%. And the worst performing category is hockey from 2000 to 2009, which is down 14.1%. As a reminder, the cards you'll see in today's show have gone up in price recently, but they are not necessarily good investments right now. Do your own research to decide which cards you think will go up in value next. All right, we're kicking it off with the cold card, and this time I've got to eat a little bit of cr. Kind of. The cold card is none other than the alien himself, Victor Wembanyama, the forward center for the San Antonio Spurs. Now, Wemby came up short in the NBA Finals after leading the spurs on a deep playoff run, falling just one step shy of capturing his first championship. Wemby continued to showcase his two way dominance throughout the playoffs, but he didn't have the best series against the Knicks who ultimately beat them in five. And San Antonio was unable to overcome the really the balanced kind of attack from the Knicks. That finals loss was a disappointment and an end to an outstanding season where everything had been rising and rising and the lore and all of the aura and everything around Wemby had been going up until what many kind of consider, including myself to be like, about as disastrous of a finals as he could have had. He's young. What I thought would happen before the finals and I said in this studio on cards on the table, was I didn't think his cards would actually come down. I thought if he won the championship, they would continue to go to crazy heights, even crazier heights. And I thought if he lost they would stabilize because there's so much hype and energy around Wemby. And we saw that with Ohtani now. Different story with Ohtani, but we saw Ohtani actually just continue to go up in the off season after last year. And I thought maybe the paradigm shifting a little bit, not really the case. He's come down a lot. The problem is he actually stopped and then kind of plateaued. And if you look at where he was when I made those comments, he's kind of starting to come down a little bit below that from where the peaks were sort of like going into the finals anyway. I thought it would be a little less reactionary. I didn't expect that type of a performance in the finals. It was disastrous. And as a result, I think there's a lot of pullback, a lot of sell off, a lot of people who were just in it for the hype money and expecting probably a victory in the finals. And so now we're seeing all that hot money and flipper money and speculation money exiting. And we're looking at a handful of his cards here. We've got his Prism base, the iconic black curtain background. This one is down 42% over the last 30 days. I'm looking at this card and I'm asking myself, where is the floor? Seeing this over the last two weeks, just kind of hover bouncing in here tells me personally that maybe this is where it's going to stabilize now that it's come down a massive $200. Over $200, $230. So a lot of people, I don't know myself kind of starting to say, okay, does this mean he's coming down to a buy. Here's another one down big time. Down 29% is Prizm Silver PSA 10. We've got his pink ice. This one's down 47.7%. And then we've got a couple of others. Here's his tops. Chrome Cosmic Tops, Cosmic Chrome Raw. This was at this one peaked up all the way at $188. Now down to $120. And then lastly we'll look at his tops now, the kind of iconic draft night card here. And this one's down just 7.9%. So this one actually spiked at $144 and seems to be hovering, I guess. I think this one just didn't go up as much. Yeah, I'm just looking at the last 90 days and this one probably didn't go up quite as much. So Wemby's coming down. I'm hearing a lot of people now saying they think he's a buy. I'm kind of inclined to start looking at that because his story's not over. But again, not financial investment advice whatsoever. A lot of people say buy the dip, collect what you like and let me know down in the comments. Do you think Wemby's a buy right now? Is there still room for him to come down more? Was the hype never real in the first place? You let me know and let's move on to our investment card of the week. All right. We always look at an investment card. These are more established, all time greats. A lot of vintage, a lot of stuff that has staying power. This is true. We distinguish speculation from investment, short term from long term, unstable and hype from stable. And we're looking at none other than Roberto Bob Clemente. Right fielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1955 to 1972. Clemente was one of baseball's greatest all around players. Known for his elite hitting, powerful throwing arm and his humanitarian work. He recorded exactly 3,000 career hits, won four National League batting titles and earned 12 Gold Glove awards during his 18 seasons with the Pirates. Clemente helped lead the Pirates to two World Series championships and was named the 1971 World Series MVP after a dominant postseason performance. His legacy extends beyond baseball as his compassion and service to others continue to be honored throughout the annual Roberto Clemente Award. So we're looking at his iconic 1955 Topps rookie card here, the horizontal one. You've got the sort of portrait image with the action image in the background. Very classic design. Love this one and this Is you see the price difference. As always, we see these week over week in the grade. The grade is what distinguishes these vintage cards where there are no variations in parallel madness and autos and other things. You've got his PSA8 here, which is a pop123. And that card only has 20 total higher than that. This one's going to set you back hefty, hefty price point, $137,000. On June 20th, this card sold for in PSA 8 condition. And then we can pop that one down off the chart. Even just a half grade lower down to a PSA seven and a half puts you at $47,000. So you see how much these grades, you know, matter. Then we can go down. Let's look at PSA 7 down to $22,800. A 6 is at $10,000. A, A 5 is at $5,800. And you can always pop this open in market movers to kind of click down and look at all the prices. By the way, In June of 2025, a PSA 9 sold for $732,000. This 8 1/2 actually just did $268,000. We didn't have that one on the chart. We probably should have. And I can scroll all the way down, all the way down. And you could get yourself into, oh, let's say a PSA one and a half that might not have been chewed on by a dog. Still going to be $1,700. So very iconic card. Staying power. Clemente legend, respected. He is our investment card of this week. All right, at number five, we gotta move into the greatest tournament in all of sports. And soccer is not my favorite sport. I like soccer a lot. It is not my favorite sport. But I do believe the World cup is the greatest tournament in all of sports. The fact that it's every four years, not every year, March Madness is fantastic. But World cup gets the nod for me and for my money. And we're looking at the 17 year old phenom Gilberto Mora from Mexico. He has emerged as one of the breakout stars in this World Cup. He's helping Mexico make their run into the knockout stages on his home soil in Mexico. And in their 20 Round of 32 victory of Ecuador, Moura became the second youngest player ever to start a World cup knockout match, delivering a very composed performance that earned a standing ovation from that home crowd in Mexico. Gives me goosebumps that thinking about that. You know, that stadium was absolutely electric with Mexico advancing and Mora continuing to impress the world's biggest stage. His stock has never been higher, and people are starting to pay attention to his cards, which still are not crazy expensive. So we're looking at very affordable stuff here, and it's in raw condition. You've got his Optic rated rookie hollow. Now, the thing about soccer cards in Donris that you need to know, there's no Donrus Optic as a standalone product. They actually combine Donris paper and optic, the chromium stock, stuff into the same product. So you get a bunch of paper rated rookies, you get the chromium stock, then you get the optic holos. So these aren't super, super common. We're looking at the last 30 days in raw condition. There's only been 13 sales of this guy of this card, and he's pretty hot. So you can see this card going up, it's up 57%, especially over the last 10 days or so. Went from 16 bucks now all the way up to $32. So, you know, it's actually 100% increase over time. And then we'll look at his Prism World cup rookie card here. And I don't know, not the best image. But in any event, this is in raw condition. This card's actually up 782%. This card sold for $2.99 on June 20th and is now up to $26. And then you've got his Prism World cup wave in raw condition here. And this one's up 100 to $137. So this one's definitely rising. This was at $55, just like less than just a week ago, basically, and now up to $137. So more is hot. We'll see. Do you think Mexico makes a deep run? Are they going to keep it rolling? You know, always watch these players, right? They, they can be very hot. We've seen this in the past. Man, it's escaping me, the guy who had a big showing in the Euros a few years back. But in any event, Mora's been super hot. 17, super talented and exciting to watch. His career will be really interesting. He's number five on our list at number four. This guy is absolutely on fire in the minor leagues. It's Eric Hartman, the outfield prospect for the Atlanta Braves. They say the rich just keep getting richer. Well, the Braves have turned it around this season in a big time way, and they've got this guy waiting in the pipeline. He's emerged as one of the fastest rising prospects, not only in the Braves organization, but in all of minor leagues and he's got power, he's got speed, he's got athleticism and he's really been breaking out. Through his first 71 games, Hartman is slashing.294,365,63 with 20 homers, 30 stolen bases and 50 RBIs putting together one of the best all around seasons in minor leagues. With his rapid development and five tool upside, Hartman is quickly becoming one of the biggest prospect names in the hobby. All of his cards as tracked by market movers are up 42 and a half percent over the last 30 days on 75 different cards totaling 784 transactions. So of course looking at is Bowman. Bowman Chrome prospect autograph first in raw condition. This card's just popping off over the last 30 days. You could have bought this for 75 bucks. It's now up to 1:35 if I go back. Even more than that, you can see it came out hot with a big sale back in May. Dipped down. So the low sale I guess was $69. And now he is rising and rising and rising and rising. I really like the design of Bowman this year, by the way. That's personal preference. Here's the refractor number to 499. Fun fact, there have not been any sales so far. Any public sales of his refractor auto to 499. Did they not make it into the product? There's been plenty of other sales of other cards. Something a little bit strange there. But in any event that's why we're showing the refractor here. And let me go back to the last 30 days. This one's up 105% over the last month. Then we can look at his chrome prospect Speckle auto number to 299. This one's up 48.8%. And then lastly we'll look at his blue. Nice looking card here. Always love a good blue refractor to 150. And this one is up to $850. Actually there was a sale for $919. So people starting to pay the premium for Eric Hartman. Not to be confused with another Eric Cartman. And he's number four on our list. All right. At number three it's Lamelo Ball. No, I'm just kidding. I know how to say his name. And this is not the true Melo. People call him Melo. No, that's Carmelo. This is Lamelo Ball. And now the guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Lamelo Ball has become one of the biggest storylines in this NBA off season after being traded to a team that I'm not sure many people saw him going to with the Wolves. This move gives Minnesota another dynamic offensive weapon as well as elite passing and scoring ability could complement the team's championship aspirations. While others are saying this is basically sacrificing the future and they don't see this working out well, they don't see the chemistry happening between Ball and Anthony Edwards and what they're kind of doing up there, he's kind of still entering his prime. He's still pretty young. He brings all star level talent and from an offensive side to the team, he is really dynamic. There's just a lot of concerns about work ethic, consistency, defense, other things. I feel like Minnesota kind of built that team that has made several deep playoff runs over the last few years around grit, around defense, around hustle. We'll see if they can kind of extract that out of Lamelo as part of their team culture if it's really going to shift things. Olive Ball's cards as tracked by market movers, are up 12.7% collectively over the last month, so we'll take a look at a few of those here. Here's his PSA 10 Hoops, not a particularly exciting card. Pop 3093 this card is up 150% though, and these are the types of cards that I talk about. These are the cards that I talk about that after guys have been in the league, former high or even number one draft pick type players, whether it's basketball, football or high prospects in baseball, if they dip down to what is arguably a floor price of $12 for a PSA 10 and you just have a box of these and you think about margin. This is the type of stuff that can pay off when things like this, when an event happens, a signal eventually like a trade this it you're you're not going to like lose your shirt on $100 worth of PSA 10 hoops, you know, cards at 10 bucks a pop and then you have the potential that they go and they double or triple on an event and you can sell them. Now you get into whether or not that's worth your time, how you sell them, where you sell them. Obviously ebay is a great choice for that or if you set up at card shows or trade nights. But that is a strategy some people employ and it's one of the quote unquote safer ones on the floor versus ceiling. Upside, we've got his prism base here, PSA 10. That card was down at 40 bucks. It's now up to $65. It's a 61% increase. His prism silver, this one was 385, 355 up to 590. Now kind of curving at 550. That is one thing you have to be careful for is it can be a very flash in the pan. It can also be tough to be the high sale. If you were to liquidate a bunch of copies of a card, maybe they don't sell. Well, then you've got his Bowman anime. This is not a rookie card. This one's actually just seen some volatility. So this one was at 435 bucks up to 500. Then it kind of dipped down. So riding the wave here. But the most recent sale at $500. So LaMelo's been hot. I want to actually check something. I want to go back and see what is the all time high on this card. Whoa. So this is like a Mac Jones type scenario. There were seven sales during COVID kind of peak Covid of this in PSA 10 condition at $1644. That's nutty. I've always been warding people away from that. But even if you avoid, you know, ignore that this was a card that was transacting during the sort of base card craze. Base PSA 10 craze over $100 and again had dipped down to 12 bucks. So anyway, take that for what it's worth. Lamello. Lamelo, not Melo. Number three. All right. At number two it is. Pca. Pete Crowe. Armstrong. You thought he was done. You all thought that the story was over for PCA at the at bat in the batter's box after he started very slowly, started really, really poorly to start the season. Oh, he's back. He is back in the saddle again. PCA is back. The defense has been there. The electric, incredibly dynamic center field defense has been there all season and hasn't gone away. But this guy is. He's absolutely on fire. Over the last month or so, during the month of June, he has become just the third player in MLB history to post a month with a batting average over.375, a slugging percentage over.775, 80 plus total bases, 15 walks, 10 home runs and 5 stolen bases, joining only Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Now that was a lot of things all strung together, but it does kind of demonstrate he's in elite company for this last month with his historic production and all around impact. Pete Crow. Armstrong has become one of the Hottest names in baseball. Coming out of the month of June, all of his cards, as tracked by Mark movers, are up 13.7% collectively over the last 30 days. I'm surprised they're not up more. I'm really surprised they're not up more. I think the reason they're not up more is because they weren't down more. The slow start did not cause people to sell off. There was a lot of criticism. There were a lot of talks on baseball podcasts and other things about was this guy's start to last year's season just like a fluke? Because he was really bad after the All Star break. Like, it was a tale of two different seasons on almost two different players. And then to start the season, he sort of carried that in. Well, he's turning it back on. People are wondering about the consistency. He's currently second. I believe he's second amongst, like, positional players in combined war. I think Christopher Sanchez on B WAR is above him. Ohtani's at the top, and he's at like a five WAR right now for the season. So he's. He's on fire. That's because of the defense, but now also the hitting. And we're going to look at his raw 2024 Topps Gold. Parallel number to serial number to 2024. This one's up again just 11%. So I think the big thing was, if you look at this over the last 90 days, there was this one weird dip sale. Remove that. Who knows that might have been damaged or who knows what the story was? This is a raw card, but this one's. I mean, it hasn't really gone anywhere. Only now, only now are people starting to come back around and maybe start to get excited with pca. Maybe they want to see if he keeps it up into and past the All Star break. Maybe there's fear from last year because his cards went way up and he was on the top five multiple times. I think number one several times. And then he was way down and he was the cold card at least one or two times. This is Rookie Autograph Raw out of Tops Chrome. I like this one a lot. I like the him running. And this one, $137 just a month ago. Now up to $228. And then we'll look at his All Kings. I love All Kings. I love this set. And this one's up in raw condition up to up 43% to $581. So PCA Dynamic Electric Player. And go Cubbies, go for all you Fans of the Cubs, you got to be excited about him and about Dansby Swanson in a 23 run game earlier this week. Let's move on to our number one hot card. All right, that brings us to our number one hot card. But before we do that, you got to check out Market Movers. You can download Market Movers absolutely free in the App Store. It'll give you a seven day trial to try it out. You can try out the RAW scanning which works on so many different cards. We're still tweaking it, we're still refining it. We give you options, you know, kind of confidence scores, and you can navigate our whole database, which is growing rapidly over time. That database is now using over 20 million cards to search for images, to find image matching. And we're going to continue to make it better. It's not perfect, but it is very useful. You got to go try it out. And all these charts and graphs track your whole collection and so much more available in Market Movers starts as low as 9.99amonth. It's also just free to use to comp cards if you download the mobile app. So please go give that a try. Without further ado, number one, a l' un enfant de la patrie. That's all I'm going to give you. I promised I wouldn't sing in my last Market Movers video again, but here we are. You got to celebrate. France, they're looking to run it back for a third straight finals appearance. They look very, very much the part. Very dominant. You've of course got Ousmane Dembele, Ballon d' or winner. And you've got this guy, Kylian Mbappe. Now the most goals in, is it World cup history, knockout stages history? I don't know. They said it. This guy's been a goal scoring machine since he made his debut in 2018 World Cup. Absolutely phenomenal talent. And he's just continued to shine. He's leading France's attack with his speed. You see this guy turn it on. I saw something the other day that showed that Mbappe topped out. I don't know if it was topped out or what or if it was like an average speed, but it was like 24 and a half miles per hour in his speed. And then they showed that Usain Bolt's average speed on like the 100 meter dash is 23 and a half miles per hour. Like Elite, Elite speed from these top guys in soccer. They are unbelievable world class athletes. And he opened the tournament strong with a Goal and assist in France's 31 win over Senegal and moved him onto the knockout rounds. And he's just scored and scored and continued to score. And his cards are hot. We talked about. I talked with Jeff about killing Mbappe. I think it was on the Veriswap video that we did, or a different one. But I was like, watch his cards. Heading up toward the World Cup. If there is a player that's probably going to make a deep run, almost certainly this French team is no joke. And so here you have this card with Corentin Jean and this is his 2016 Panini Foot stickers, number 504 in PSA9 condition. Whoops. Clicked on the pop chart thing. This One was at $850. Now up to 988, almost $1,000. It's a 16% increase. And then we've got his top scrum, UEFA Champions League base, PSA 10. This one is POP 1491. This one's up 28.7% over the last month. Then you've got his base paper Donrus. This is the national team one. So that's another thing. They do like national team and then they'll do the club uniforms. This is the one with him in the team France. So this one's actually up to 79, 75. Him kind of making a little cut in his dribble with the ball. Then you've got the very iconic World cup stickers, black back, PSA 10 pop 1505. This one's up 29.4%. This was at, I guess, 61 bucks. There was 120 and then really it dipped down. And then lastly, let's take a look at his Prizm base PSA 10 pop 4068. This one's up 24.2%. If you look over the last year at Mbappe, man, there's definitely. It's just been rising and rising and rising. So the top stars in soccer have been rising over the last year. Big gains for Lamine d', Amel, big gains for Messi, big gains for a lot of notable athletes. It's going to be really interesting. Does this momentum continue after this World cup tournament is done, or will soccer kind of fade out of the collective consciousness back into the club tournaments and other things that are just less notable than World Cup? I don't know, but I'm having a heck of a good time watching these different matches. It's been a lot of fun. There's been a ton of drama, there's been upsets and you know it's only going to continue. Go Team USA next Monday. And thanks so much for watching this. Make sure you are subscribed to the channel and like this video. If you like me hosting, drop some comments down below. And until next time, happy investing. Keep on collecting and make sure to have fun. Sam.
