Do you think any of the prices of Update Chrome Basketball will be going down in the next coming days? I want to know who. Who's holding on to it. I mean there can't be feel like. Like a lot of it's been ripped. That's. I feel like it has. How much. How much is still out there in the wild? And I mean we were talking about this when this product first came out. Is that the debut patch checklist significantly smaller than the MLBs and definitely the NFLs. So maybe and Yu-Gi-Oh so. So maybe we actually are at a point where like most. Most of these are gone at this point now there are still. There's the argument to be made the SSPs, the Ultra Eagles are massive in these are still that out there. There's a lot of sps. And how are the Minions doing? The Minions are still doing well. They're not as well as they were still hot. They're not $15,000. But like you pull up, you pull an $8,000 minion card, you're still doing fine. Although I think someone also pulled the Superfractor Cooper flag Minion Minion that has been pulled. It's. A lot's been pulled. It's tricky. I mean, if you, if you ask, oh, he's gonna go up or down. Well, the problem is there's less supply too now. Right. So it's like it kind of corrects itself even though, like, oh, Yu-Gi-Oh all these million dollar cards maybe have already been pulled. Well, now there's 20% of the run left, so the ones that are holding on to it can just sit and wait it out. Right. So. And most of the breakers, I'm sure are probably getting through it, don't have much of it. That's why all these polls have came out. But product was a success. Basketball has a place for update Chrome as we can see. See if they can repeat that every year. You know, you're going to have AJ's first one and Darren Peterson's first debut patch in this next upcoming chrome update of 2027. So that should create some buzz. So we'll see. But flipping the script a little bit on Marvel Spider man cards are Zebra popular right now. Is that because of the new movie? So this is what I, I want to know because I feel like we talked about this. There was one week. There was one episode a few weeks ago we talked about, like, there was a Zootopia card that, like, quadrupled. It's what it sold for from like three or four years ago. And I was saying, well, there was the sequel. It was a really big hit. And it kind of felt like, well, maybe not in that case, because that was also a set where it was like the first Topps Chrome Disney set. This, though, there does feel like there's something about the fact that that movie came out and it was breaking records. I want to point out this card. Shout out to Alex, who is a huge. Probably our resident Marvel expert and collector here, and he's like, look at the Marvel market right now. That's kind of insane. So this is what's considered the very first Spider man card. I believe it also has Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic Four on it. This is a PSA9 that just broke records. $175,000 for this card on August 16th. But take a look at this. Just two years ago, this was a $3,000 card. Two years ago. Hell, one year ago, it was a $5,500 card. This is an unprecedented spike in closeup on that card. Because, you know, it's funny, I think we're talking about this. I'm getting these shows crossed up, but I think we're talking about this on Collect, which we do every Friday on the Fanatics Collect app hype on Collect. Let's talk about Yu-Gi-Oh appeal. And I remember Gary V was saying to buy these. So it's almost like if somebody has some kind of influence and they're like, oh, this is the original marble Marvel, then people go out and buy these. Honestly, sorry, I'm pissing people's waitings. Wheaties. The cards ugly. It's just like if I wanted to read a comic book, I would read a comic book. Like, I get it. It might be the first one that's out there. Whoop de whoops. I'd much rather have a nice Zebra Refractor or very low pop. Very low pop count though. Very low pop count. And I mean you also saw it alongside the 2024 top Marvel. That's the Miles Morales, which also, it's, it's, it's across the board, it's vintage, it's, it's modern, it's all insanely hot. But Yu-Gi-Oh if you were just to tell me without a price point, which card do you think looks better? Yu-Gi-Oh I think the 2024. Who even makes that? Who's the manufacturer of that said old piece of. I want to say that camp that came out straight from the comic books, if I'm not mistaken. I mean folks, if you're this or listening to this, please correct me in the comic book. I want to say. Yu-Gi-Oh it's just called Marvel superheroes 19. Oh, Donruss Excuse me. Okay, I, I, I take it back. 66 Donruss Marvel. And there are, it's a 66 card set. So Yu-Gi-Oh it's on the flip side, you have the. I think I showed that Miles Morales one, which also went from. I've got it up right here via card ladder in April of this year. April. That's a $3,000 card. 2:20. About a $3,000 card in August, just in fact, this Friday, last past Friday, $17,525 for the same exact card. What's going on? People like Spider Man. People really like Spider Man. Seems like they just like everything. I mean, like there's not a lot of categories that just aren't firing maybe besides nascar, but, but I don't know. Here we go. I want to know. We were ripping the, the new NASCAR product that came out there. It was on the website. Turn four. Turn four. It's a cool product. It's a great product. But I, but genuinely, I don't know. I mean one, the market for all pop culture other than maybe Star wars is insanely hot right now. You also have this Spider man movie that continues to break records and is a huge box office sensation. Spider Man's number one has always been the number one. I think among. It's the number one superhero property, I would say. But even with all that, it is hard to wrap your head. What about dc? How's dc? Batman. We haven't really had anything like we've been waiting on. If I'm. Did we ever get the Skybox DC set that was gonna have all the Batman PMGs, which I was very high on? I thought this is the. This is gonna be very underrated. I think people are sleeping on it. And if it hasn't come out yet, I still think people are really sleeping on that one. And maybe they're not anymore. Maybe people are seeing this and they're thinking and only a matter of time related. I. I saw that. You. I don't think we talked about it on Friday, but I saw you post something about Sonic. Is there. We were talking. We talked about it on an episode. We. We did. Yu-Gi-Oh we did podcasts. Yu-Gi-Oh we did it to sonic. We 100% talked about sonic. Huh? We talked about Sonic on this very podcast. Cool. Yu-Gi-Oh it happens. So memorable. What's happening with the Sonic market? We don't know yet. We don't know yet, but we're waiting. Is it Panini? So I'm gonna spend about six months finding the lowest populate population cards, whether that be Prizm or National Treasures or even going back older, the press pass stuff. And then I'm gonna basically find like, I don't know, like a Tony Robbins or a Bill nye. I'm paying $500,000 to talk about how this market's underappreciated and that everybody should be buying these low pop NASCAR cards. And then guess what? I'm gonna be sitting with all of them. So I'm just gonna be like, this is what I'm gonna be doing. I'm just gonna be creating money. You think Bill Nye is gonna that type of buzz in the collectible market? People do love Bill. Pretty popular. I don't know if he's Got quite the pull of Gary Vee. So that's actually, we go back to that. So do you think this is less about the popularity of Spider man and more about the type of people, the market mover? I think we, I, I think we're basing it. I, we kind of saw this with, a long time ago with, with Gary Vee and Giannis Rookies and that stuff started going absolutely nuts. So I think, I don't, I don't know, I think it actually is more the popularity of Marvel itself. I think so too. I'm a little bit popularity of just the collectible market in general. People want to get in early so they see something that they feel is undervalued and they jump on it. And if everybody has that mentality, then it's obviously the market's going to completely change on and it's going to go up. I mean, did people get stimulus checks? I mean, what's going on? I mean, I haven't looked at the economy report. Are we doing pretty good? I mean, because it, it almost seems like in this hobby it's an awesome investment. You can't lose here. I mean, you can't lose. You pick a category and next thing you know it's like that one's now it's the most popular thing. One piece. Oh, that's popular. Oh, Mickey Mouse. That's popular. Oh, Spider Man. Old comic cuts. That's popular. I mean, I don't know what's next. Not like I said nascar. Like there's, there's, you just get enough people that are interested in something and they got to have all these cards that are just been lying in closets for years. I would say soccer probably isn't that popular right now. I think it's, I think it's kind of, I think it kind of. But it did have its moment. It did, right? I think it died off. Now it's a little, it's a little flat. A little bit. I mean you do have going to the Fanatics fest and going to the national. I saw a lot of display cases that had a lot of high end soccer cards. Yep. And I also was hearing that dealers were not buying soccer cards. Interesting. I think that was a huge buildup to the World Cup. But Yu-Gi-Oh I mean the only thing you can explain is that the Spider man movies, the success of the Marvel Chrome is maybe bringing more people into the hobby and they're looking backwards and well, what about this? I know there's 2026 Marvel Chrome, but what about the first Marvel Chrome Yu-Gi-Oh What about the 93? We have a box in the back, a sealed box of like the original Marvel. Is it flir. Yu-Gi-Oh like, that's not taking off as far as I could understand, but. Oh, I know. I thought it was worth like 4 million. No, it's like still worth the same amount, so. Sitting on. Yu-Gi-Oh sitting on a huge one. It's. And the thing is too. Yu-Gi-Oh All the. The PMGs that have been popular for years, you had the. The Muppets, NHL products. What's happened with that? I mean, why isn't that. Not everything's going up. There's like some things out there that are not going up. I'm sitting on Muppets on the ice still. Muppets on the ice for Sharks Cards. Come on, tough market. Sharks plus Fozzie Bear equals profit. What's happening, market? You know, it's funny. I was. I was on a side note before we talk a little Fernanda Mendoza and have this. This draft here that we're gonna do is. I was just watching this nostalgia video. They're like the coolest designs were in the 90s and they went over like you had the Charlotte Hornets. Everybody was wearing the Charlotte Hornets, the teal Right. Starter jackets. And then you had the Sharks. Right. And it was like people were wearing Sharks in like New York because it was just like the cool colors right in the 90s. And then you had the Marlins in 93 with that. With their starter, like old school design. And then he ended it with like the Rockies. And it was like all in that time period, about four years. All those teams came out and their merch hit like the children that weren't even fans of the team. I don't remember seeing people wear Rockies. I'll. I'll throw in. Maybe Rockies was the last one. Yu-Gi-Oh But the Marlins. 100%. I remember. I remember the Marlins, the Sharks. I definitely remember the Sharks. I think Mighty Charlotte was pretty popular too. Mighty Ducks. I know they have the other guy there from last year. They have Aaron Rodgers. Well, I mean he's probably not playing next year. He's not playing next year. Who's the other guy that got draw. Who's the rookie quarterback? Will Howard. So Yu-Gi-Oh they're kind of collecting these. Talk to Christian about Will Howard. Yu-Gi-Oh he likes him. He doesn't like Drew Aller for some reason. They're just collecting like Big Ten like, like the third or fourth best guy at each Big Ten draft of the last or. And they have Mason Rudolph and they have Rudolph still. And Drew Aller is from Penn State. So he's kind of, kind of like a hometown kid I guess. Right. But look, isn't this like maybe, maybe. You know what? Was I not saying sets and Bennett on, on probably the best backup quarterback in the league and probably going to get moved for like a second round pick because he's going to be starting somewhere. We're basically going to just pick three players that by the end of the year we'll have some data on we'll see their whole season. And we're going to pick one rookie, one vet QB's and then one non QB and it could be a rookie or a vet and you don't have to go in any particular order. You can go with your wild card. We're calling it the wild card. You can go with that with pick one. You can go with that with your final pick. Whatever you want to do. I like it. Winners determined by car, letter, market value today versus the end of the regular season. All right, let's go to the on qb, rookie or veteran or a vet. Now these are San Jose Giants guys. It is. Yu-Gi-Oh Shout out to your California League north division champion San Jose Giants. They are currently in the building right now. So I think I see a few, the whole team, a few of them are going to be here. I just figured the guy's height is got to be somebody. It's. They've. It's become a popular spot, I'll tell you that. So I think there's still a lot of room for him to. To grow and grow even. It's the classic. Like, does this first pick need to be a rookie quarterback? No. You can go anywhere. Anyone, Anybody. So, I mean, if I If I skip this pick right now and I don't go rookie qb, then I have the potential of getting somebody I don't want like a cade club Nick from the Jets. I don't know if that's going to work out for me. So as much as it pains me to say, I think there was a reason why I pulled this guy's touchdown insert because I think his price is going to be protected this year because he's not going to play. And I think we're going to be, we're going to have the JJ McCarthy effect with Mr. Ty Simpson my first pick. I think you're right. I think the guys who play last year future Zebra bowl champion and MVP of the league. I hope not. I just think he's not going to play this year. You guys are going to be like 9 and 7, probably get eliminated and then 9 and 7 the next year. He's going to get the start and he's not going to play nine and seven. Okay, first off that's good. Yu-Gi-Oh First a winning season. I mean I don't know how you didn't go Stetson Bennett there rookie quarterback qualify has to be a rookie but he could have, it could have been your, your break. I, I, I'm gonna go with the guy that I thought the Rams are gonna draft and it doesn't have to be a quarterback. Right. Just has to be a rookie. Well that could be your wild card pick. So you do have to pick at least one rookie qb. You have to pick at least one vet QB and at least one non qb. Very very confusing rules. I think I laid out the rules pretty good. They're no, they're very confusing. I don't know where to go now. Could do any of them. I mean look, if you want to make your wild card a non rookie QB by all you gotta, you gotta do a vet QB one-of-one A vet qb? Yu-Gi-Oh You could take the best vet QB if you want anything. Well you got two pick. You got two picks. I think he's gonna get, I think he's gonna get traded. I, I, I'm serious about. Stetson Bennett is going to get traded and he's probably going to start this year. You taking them? I'm taking Stetson Bennett. Okay. And that's your wild card? That's my wild. Okay, well or it's a, so it's got to be your vet QB pick. It's my vet. Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh that qb. It's my vet. Seeing these rules, very confusing. But Stetson Bennett his, his Prices are. So what gives him some flexibility. He could go with a vet non QB at this point and considered as so low with Stetson Bennett and if he ends up starting somewhere his prices are going to go dramatically up. I'm not mad at that because you're right because it's, it doesn't, you know, and, and it's gonna actually help out Doug's situation because that will make Ty Simpson more valuable the number two. And I get nothing out of this. So that's fine. And, and who'd you pick again? I forbid for Hernando. I wanted the obvious pick but you get another pick so you can go with a rookie QB or a rookie qb. Carson Beck. Okay, interesting. Not very, very good. Well, very good. And this was. Look, you guys are probably like Yu-Gi-Oh I didn't even think I thought about him. But no, no, he's right here as 1, 2, 3. I got, I'm the one person here, no computer in front of them. Just off the dumb. I like I, I, I'm not mad at that pick because he also. I think they're going to be a terrible team but I think that actually gets him on the field. Exactly. I think of all the guys we mentioned, Fernando's gonna wait a bit. Ty Simpson's probably not starting at all and if he is, it means something terribly wrong has gone has happened. Carson Beck has a decent shot of, of, of starting this year, which probably helps him in the short term. Yu-Gi-Oh but I wasn't back, you know, if I didn't pick Fernando, I was actually going to think Drew Alar specifically because he's doing the classic sitting behind Aaron Rodgers for a year, probably isn't starting at all. And in an NFC east that I don't think is totally. I mean, the Eagles are probably the class of that division, but I think that the rest of the division's up for grabs. Like part of me wants to go with like a malik neighbors because you know he's gonna be back. He's in Harbaughs, you know, offense. He's gonna be back. He's still got the queue. So I don't know when he's coming back. So that's probably why I'm not gonna pick him. You know who I'm gonna go with. This is kind of a wild card pick in a sense. It's a little bit down the list. But I do believe in Caleb and I think he's gonna have a new number one this year. I think it's going to be Luther Burden Yu-Gi-Oh So I'm going Luther Burden. Oh, that's a. That's a good dark horse candidate. I like it. Seems like he hasn't found quite his guy. People thought Rome was his guy.
