The base set features at least 10 cards built entirely around the 1986 animated film, covering the Autobots and Decepticons central to that story — Optimus Prime, Hot Rod, Arcee, Ultra Magnus, Kup, Springer, Grimlock and Wheelie, Megatron, Starscream, and Galvatron. Every pack also delivers an Energon parallel and a Stellar System insert, so the guaranteed hits are baked into the format rather than chased across multiple boxes.

Energon parallels and Stellar System inserts are guaranteed one per pack. Anniversary parallels are numbered to 1,986; Unicron parallels to 86; the Matrix of Leadership parallel is a 1/1. Within Stellar System, Supernova versions are numbered to 99, Black Hole to 25, and Cybertron to 5. The Optimus Prime's Mark autograph is numbered to 10; One Shall Stand, One Shall Fall is a 1/1.
