I came to EC3Con looking for the coolest card in the room. Instead, I found Michelle. After learning she was in remission from ovarian cancer, Michelle chose to transform the scars left by her chemotherapy port into teal butterflies…the color of ovarian-cancer awareness, appearing to fly away from the place that once helped keep her here. For nearly an hour, we watched Danny from @tattoos4thesoul_ turn evidence of an unimaginably difficult chapter into something beautiful. Michelle, thank you for trusting us to witness and share your story. Come for the cardboard. Stay for the conversation. 🦋 @ec3con @tattoos4thesoul_ @pika.puff5 #ev3con #mohegansun #ovariancancerawareness #fuckcancer #cancersurvivors
