What’s the best pen for getting a sports card autographed? 🖊️ The answer depends on the card and what you want the finished autograph to look like. 🔵 Blue Sharpie is our go-to for most cards because the ink flows consistently and typically produces fewer skips and streaks. 🎨 If you want the autograph to really POP, paint pens like Posca and DecoColor can look incredible. Pink, white, silver, gold, and other unique colors can completely change the look of a signed card. ✍️ If you are adding multiple inscriptions or have a small signing area, a fine-tip Staedtler or extra-fine Deco can be a great option. The size of the pen tip can be just as important as the color. If you are getting a glossy card like Prizm or Topps Chrome signed, make sure you PREP THE CARD first. 🎙️ On the latest Powers Sports Memorabilia Show, we break down the pens we actually use at athlete signings and the pros and cons of each.
