Cutting up game-used baseball bats to make sports cards is one of those topics collectors seem to either love or hate. On one hand, turning a game-used bat into memorabilia cards gives more collectors the chance to own a small piece of baseball history. On the other, once you cut up that bat, part of the original piece of history is gone forever. For me, I’m OK with it as long as the bat isn’t tied to an iconic or historically significant moment.
