Inside the Fishkill Show: Inventory Moves & Rare 1962 Bazooka Boxes
Back at the Fishkill Sports Card Show—this time setting up and buying with a purpose. I spent the day restocking inventory ahead of my next show in Mount Kisco, focusing heavily on raw vintage to build out my boxes. Along the way, I added a couple of graded cards as well, continuing to shape inventory for the next setup. While walking the floor, I came across something you just don’t see very often. Mike, the show promoter, has been working on a consignment with a collector known as “Sunshine." I purchased some of the cards from this consignment, including the T205 Christy Mathewson. On his table was a group of 1962 Bazooka boxes, nearly complete, featuring names like Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, and Roberto Clemente. Moments like that are a reminder of why getting out to shows—and taking the time to walk the floor—still matters. If you enjoy vintage card shows, dealer perspective, and unique finds, you’re in the right place.
