Yes, I guess that's. That's. That works. All right, so on today's show, we're just gonna, you know, have a little bit of intro catch up like last week. I don't know. I. I don't. I don't know if I want to talk about the 30th celebration. We should probably just talk about that because that's like we should probably talk about it. Is it that soon? And. Yu-Gi-Oh I. Yu-Gi-Oh the release weekend is next weekend. Oh. I guess I keep thinking about all the UPC stuff that's like months away. Yu-Gi-Oh And then we'll look. Look ahead a little bit. Just some events coming up. Adam's vending corner, as per usual, and then Justin's surprise article. It'll be a quick one, but we will have fun. We will enjoy the day. And Yu-Gi-Oh we'll go from there. All right. Justin, what have you been up to? It's Wednesday. What have you been doing? What'd you do last weekend? Last weekend I went to something called Dragon Con. If you've never heard of Dragon Con, it's basically picture any convention you go to. It could be Pokemon convention, it could be a Halo convention, it could be a Magic the Gathering convention, and you roll it all into one. That's basically what it is. But it's all like. It's like costumes, it's board games, it's. You see famous people at panels. It's everything. It's okay. So you had a lot of fun. I did. I did see a picture of you dressed up as Team Rocket. I did. I was. And I tried to get some pictures with some other Pokemon costumes that were pretty good. There were so many and it was just so hectic. It's a good time. I. So what I did was I took some of my extra Team Rocket playable cards and just. I sleep. I was unfortunately missing Giovanni's boss's orders. Those are an old deck somewhere. But I just had Giovanni's charisma. And so I like. There's some. One of the things that Dragon Con is, you, like, give stuff out to people. Just like, it's like a little giveaways or whatever. So I like, give out, oh, the boss wants you to have this. And it's Giovanni's charisma. I was giving it to, like, kids and stuff. Yu-Gi-Oh And. Oh, and I had. Someone was giving out, like, little fake pokeballs. So I was taking a Pokeball, and every time I saw someone dressed as, like, a Pokemon, like a Starmie, for example, or a Geodude, I would be like, pokeball, go. Like, pretend to capture them. You're like your Team Rockets now. Yu-Gi-Oh it was. That's pretty cool. It was so crazy. Speaking of bosses. Yu-Gi-Oh And Giovanni. Yu-Gi-Oh A. I saw a really cool, like, dinner round table skit, which is probably from that event of Giovanni and like, a bunch of Team Rocket members. And then second off, I went to see my friend Zach at his shop, Granite State. Tcg Shout out. And he gave me a boss's orders, or Giovanni's charisma, I believe it is. And it's got a stamp on it. It's from Japan. It is a boss's, like, boss coffee. Oh, I've never heard of that, but makes me want to get a cup of coffee from them. Boss coffee. It's just, like, crazy. It's like a famous coffee brand. You see it all, like, the gas stations and stuff there. Okay. I'll see if I can find some that's imported or whatever, because that would be really cool to have, because I had. I now have the card, and it means a lot because I enjoy my. My coffee. So it's pretty cool. It's like an oddball PC collectible, but I'm excited for it. That is fun. So, Yu-Gi-Oh the. That's what my Pokemon was, was getting my team rocket outfit together for it, which, you know, I've done in the past. The only thing this time was instead of growlithe on the shoulder, I swapped it for Meowth. And then. Okay. In true team rocket fashion. Yu-Gi-Oh And then I had. Oh, I had, like, this little box that was like a team rocket, like, logo box I bought from Japan, and I had little miniature plushes in there for, like, my. My team, so I could battle people with them. You're having too much fun at these places, Justin. Yes. I'm very jealous that I was not with you. It was a good time. All right, well, I'm glad you had a good time. I'm, you know, looking forward to hearing more stories from that event. Yes. You know who's not having a good time? It's anyone trying to find the 30th anniversary cards. Okay. All right. I was gonna say I. I did buy a pack at the gas station, and we were discussing how the last time they got a stock of pitch Black, the employee bought two packs and pulled the sar and the. And the gold one back to back. That is literally insane. That's just. It doesn't make sense. So I was like, you know what? You convinced me. And they're like, I didn't even say anything. I was like, Yu-Gi-Oh it's okay. I was like, I'll get one. Because they were talking about it like one of the employees got got back to back hits. And I was like, Yu-Gi-Oh I remember that. I came in, like, shortly after, and I pulled a. Just a normal Darkrai Ex or mega whatever. So, you know, whatever. I still get a Darkrai. It's Pretty. Pretty excited about that. Yu-Gi-Oh So. But yes, 30th celebration. Justin, from our friends. Are you excited at Pokey Beach? You know, I am excited, but I'm, like, not trying to get my anticipation too high right now. I'm trying to just, like, let it actually come out, see, you know, what we can find and go from there because. Oh, the one in Japan has 176 cards. It's that many? Seriously? Yu-Gi-Oh I had no idea. Okay, let's read the article. Creatures has officially revealed most of the cards from Japan's 30th celebration set has 176 cards, including 103 main set cards, which is 30 Pikachus, which is crazy. 32 secret rares, 30 classic collection cards, and 8 basic energy cards. Then every card in the set is foil. Let's see. All those are Pikachu. Sonic. Good example. But this introduces the 30 card Pikachu subset, which will, with each card featuring fireworks, holo foil, layer over the full card. Here is the example. If you're watching the stream, either the Twitch or YouTube or Twitter. I mean, slash X or the or after the stream. Yu-Gi-Oh So it's got that kind of crazy firework pattern. It kind of gives you vibes of. What was it called? Legendary collection. Okay, I can see that. Yu-Gi-Oh that's what it gives me vibes of. You can see down here, it's got that little Pikachu head with the 1 of 30 stamp. Everyone loves a good stamp. It's a weird spot for a stamp for me. I don't know. Do you. What do you. How do you feel about this spot for the stamp down here? Um, I don't. I don't love it. It's. I would. I do wish it was kind of in a different spot, but I guess it makes sense. Well, I think they just want people to really enjoy the Pikachu art. Yu-Gi-Oh I guess. Meanwhile, they're like, okay, if you want and more Peko, we're going to put the stamp right. Right over the card. Yu-Gi-Oh We are starting to get into kind of crazy territory now in this bottom left corner because it's the. The J, you know, set of cards. It's Mega Evolution 6A is like the. Oh, is the set like number. And then the card number is number 17 out of 103. Then it's Pikachu number one of 30. So we just got so much going on down here in this bottom left corner now. Yu-Gi-Oh that's too much for me. I like the idea. I don't know. Maybe it'll grow on me in regards to the 1 of 30 or you know, 30 of 30 Pikachu stamp being on there. I'm a fan of stamps. I just don't know how I feel about that specific location. Well, just wait. There's more. In every single card there's a stamp. Yu-Gi-Oh Let's see. This is just an example of the actual first edition card. And then there. The set introduces what's called Futuristic Rares of Mew and Mewtwo designed by Yoshi Rotten. I definitely did not say that. Right. Yoshiratan. I don't know. We also designed the energy cards. They're an acclaimed Japanese artist known for experimenting with light waves in the artwork. As you can see here. You can see. You can almost feel the psy wave emanating out from Mewtwo there. How do you feel about this one specifically? Okay, I'm back. Hey. That was faster than I thought. Okay. Yu-Gi-Oh I don't know what just happened, but my computer just decided it wanted to shut down. I'm like, I didn't touch anything. It just was like, has enough power, right? The plug. The cord plug. Yu-Gi-Oh the plugs in every. There's nothing like blinking. It's. It's this Mewtwo rare. How do you feel about this Mewtwo Rare? The futuristic rares? Yes. I don't like them. You don't like them? Are they. The color is too crazy. You want to wait to see it in person. That's typical. Probably want to wait to see it in person. That's kind of how I am a lot of times. Like a lot of times just the flat. I'll probably feel different if I pull one. The flat out work just doesn't do it for me. But like then you see it in person. Like Yu-Gi-Oh That kind of slaps and you can see like that different Justin. That like the texture. It's kind of crazy looking on the energy dots like you see the psychic here, it's almost like a closed Yu-Gi-Oh Or you can see the textures going over the energy. Like the darkness, weakness and the fighting resistance too. I don't know. I like the shadows on the energies themselves. I. Do you think these are futuristic rares? Do you think how many years till these are regular rares? I think. I don't know. Or is this. Do you think this will be something that Storm Esmeralda or whatever will have? Could you imagine if they like go back to this in like 5 years and be like, see futuristic? I. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean they do think that far ahead. I don't know about five, but at least three. Yu-Gi-Oh I don't know. There's so many cool cards in this set, though. I. I do like it. I. I don't love it. I'm not a big fan of, like, the whole energies bouncing around concept, but I do love the color Purple, so. Well, that's good. That's harder for me. A normal Mewtwo. Mewtwo. Ex. There's a normal mew. There's a normal mew. The mew. I don't know how I feel about, like, it being, like, shiny and kind of liquid. It's not really my thing, but it could be cool. I think this might look good in person, but just again, flat image. Yu-Gi-Oh What do you think? Like I said, I'll have to pull it. Yu-Gi-Oh I do have, have, have some that were pre ordered, to be fair. To pre order anything. No, to be fair, I did not like the bubble mew and then I pulled the bubble mew and loved it. So. Okay, we'll see. I feel that maybe it'll be like that. Then similar to the 2021 celebrations, there will be a classic reprint collection, which I love. I don't love that they are already reprinting Magikarp. That feels too soon. It does feel too soon. It actually made me a little bit upset. It was like four years. 2022 set. Yu-Gi-Oh Scarlet Violet. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh it was. Yu-Gi-Oh Bass. No, it's not. Oh, no. Paldea. It was Paldea. Yes. I was like. I was gonna say Astral Radiance, but that's the wrong year. Pal. Day evolved. Correct. Yu-Gi-Oh So, like, that's too soon for me. I mean, it's a cool card. I'm glad they reprinted it, but under 5 years is too soon. The Lugia. Incredible. For. For pre orders, I only was able to get a knockout pack and two sticker packs. Yu-Gi-Oh Since I'm still something the. On the whole job hunt, I'm trying to be restrictive on the cards that I buy right now. Understandable. Yu-Gi-Oh So, okay, the original Lugia. This is Neo Destiny. No. What set is the original Lugia from? I have no idea. I wasn't like, I. I was in that phase of life where Pokemon wasn't cool. I still liked it and I still had all my cards, but I wasn't actively buying. I was like, look at me, I'm skateboarding. Aquapolis. I should have known. It's from Aquapolis. If you're looking at my screen, Adam, I can't see your screen. Oh, you can get one for as cheap as $3,200 for heavily played. Oh, that's not bad. I think we should invest. Invest now. Anyways, I think it's cool they're bringing it back. I don't know if they've printed this artwork again before. And you know, we've, they've reprinted the Charizard artwork a billion times. But, you know, we're all suckers, so we're, I mean, I'm not anyways. You're not sucker or you're not going to hunt the card? This looks more like the classic collection. Oh, the one that we just got a few years ago. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh It's like we just got this version recently now, remember the, the English printing versus the Japanese printing? Typically slightly different, but. Yes, agreed. Okay. So. Oh, I'm excited to see. I had forgotten about this. This, this will be the first time the set is releasing simultaneously worldwide. Wednesday, September 16th. Oh, I guess it's Wednesday, September 16th. Yu-Gi-Oh Interesting. Well, you know, it'll be Thursday there, but Wednesday for us or. I don't know how that works. I don't know. Just so, there's just so many cool cards in the set. It's, it's so cool just to see, you know, another Jirachi. Oh, I, I like how they're doing the, you know, you can have an ex, but it doesn't have to be the evolved form like they have Fuecoco Ex. Doesn't mean it's gonna be playable, but it's cool that they have it. Yu-Gi-Oh And I, I, I am a firm believer right now that, that since Horizons is out, that is the show that the younger generation is being brought up on, you know, with a. Yu-Gi-Oh Strong female lead. You know what I mean? So it's, it's really cool to see that. But my, my gut feeling is that Fuecoco Sprigatito Quaxley, all those starters, I feel like those are going to be some slept on cards. That's like playing the long game. Yu-Gi-Oh You know, maybe five, Donruss. That's once, once those kids grow up, those are where the, that's what they're going to desire. I don't think it's going to be the 151. I know that we as adults right now, all 151 is always nostalgic. But for kids right now, Fue Coco Sprigatito. Those Pokemon will be nostalgic when they get older. Nice. No, I agree. Just my, just my two cents on the. I, I don't know that I agree that it's Going to be that generation specifically. But it could be. Yu-Gi-Oh I don't know. Just a thought. All right. So we kind of looked at some of these here. We're just looking. I'm just excited about the trainers. The trainers are going to be translations in front of me. Ultra Ball Poke pad switch. Oh, I really like the Slowpoke, where it's slowpokes coming out of the old well. And there's a couple others around. There's very cute in the well. Classic Lapras artwork. Very cute. There's a Greninja Ex. I don't know if it's any good. I don't have translations on this page. Oh, my. I don't know. There's a mouse hold art rare. We have. Sorry, I guess I'm just further down the page. Pikachus. Man, there's so many Pikachus. Oh, is this like the Tomokazu Kamiya Pikachu? Oh, that's fun. Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh Look at this guy. Little chubby cheeks, stick sticking his head through the railing spindles. Love it. Oh, there's a. There's an end coming. There's some other Pikachus. And I'm just like, Yu-Gi-Oh But overall, very cute. Look at all these Pikachus. I'm sure we'll be pulling lots of them. The Pikachu EX's I could just pass on. Although it's five Bond graphics. Well, I take it back. This one's okay. Yu-Gi-Oh no, they're okay, actually. I guess the translations are just like, way at the bottom, are they? I one-of-one gotten that far. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Sorry, everyone. We did not come to this battle prepared. Yu-Gi-Oh What are you trying to say? Hey, it's a Gengar. Yu-Gi-Oh Salamance. Probably not playable, but love it anyways. Well, see, that's the thing with some of these cards. Like any of the electric Pokemon, you gotta think like, you know, you can use electric with it. The Pokemon, the eel thing that allows you to grab energies from the discard. So something like the Zapdos. Let me scroll down here and see if I can find it. Now, there's also a bunch of art rares, but we're gonna look at the card text. But man, some of these are pretty cool. It has an ability. Flash pop, flapping once during turn. If you have Moltres and Articuno in play, you may use this ability. Attach a basic lightning to this Pokemon from your hand. That's bad. But for four energies, it does 210, and it does 60 damage to itself. Holy crap. Just kidding. Forget I said anything. This is bad. Okay. The Zekrom's not bad for a lightning and two colors. It says if this it does 80, but if it has a fire energy attached, it does 80 more damage. So. Okay. Zekrom. Aha. 80 plus. If it has a fire energy attached, this does 80 more. Interesting. Yu-Gi-Oh Then the next thing like to look at is like anything metal. Because with Metang's Metal Maker or whatever, you can just attach a bunch of energies. So any of the basics are probably playable no matter what they are. Let's see here. Meowth. Nope. Terrible. What about Jirachi? Ex Wish Granter. Drawn to seven cards in your hand. Okay. It's a great, like, starter refill, but 160. It's pretty low for triple colorless Swift. 150 damage. Attack isn't affected by weakness or resistance, so it's a shred for 150. I mean. Nope, they're all just like, not good. At least there's cool art. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh No idea that I had was. Was a good one. What about the Ferrothorn who blows himself up? Nope. Kaboom. Needles. This attack does 50 damage each of your opponent's Pokemon and does 130 to itself to knock itself out. Yu-Gi-Oh no, I'm all set with that. The Solgaleo does 220. But you need four energies. All right. So this set looks all right. It looks pretty basic as far as gameplay goes. I'm sure somebody's gonna find something with one of these cards. I did see somebody post a deck with the unknown that says it's for two psychic. It's mystery signal. It does 40 damage. If your opponent's Pokemon is knocked out by damage from this attack, take one more Prizm card. I believe they were playing with like, Frost Last and Monkey Dories. Because you can attach the new psychic energy. Grab multiple psychic Pokemon. Interesting. And then you just whittle them down and then you swing for a big damage attack. Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh Kind of like what's his name? The big puppy dog who had the. The fangs. Stoutland. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh But this is just much easier to get out. Okay. Salamance is actually more interesting than I thought. Oh. Just because he always has quirky things. For a single colorless, he has. Booming call. Put up to three Dragon Pokemon from your discard pile onto your bench. Okay. That could be interesting. That could be interesting. Emphasis on could. Yu-Gi-Oh that's like one of those, like, feature things you always keep in your mind. If they print a busted Dragon card You know, if you want to go into dragapult. I don't know, whatever. And then for a water and fire 240 damage discard, the top two cards of your deck. Pretty efficient attacker. I don't know. I one-of-one I see if there's. I don't know. Even if you put dragapults, like, a bunch of them to get them into your discard, you still would rather have your cloaks doing the. Yu-Gi-Oh The top two and put one down recon directive. I don't know. I just. So I want it to work, but I just don't feel like it will. Maybe. You never know. Y. Okay. All right. That's enough celebrations for me. I can't. I can't handle any more of it. There will be more time to talk about. It's. It's like looking at the art rares and seeing, you know, all these cool art rares that, like, will just be so expensive. Oh, what did you think of the Gengar card that says the ability fainting spell? This Pokemon is knocked out by damage from an attack from your opponent's Pokemon. Flip a coin if heads, the attacking Pokemon is knocked out. Yes, that has happened. That is. That's been a. A thing before. I think it's the Gengar from Stormfront. His attack kind of sucks, though. Chaotic pain. Place 13 damage counters on one of your opponent's Pokemon. I don't. I mean, it's cool, but. Yu-Gi-Oh no, Gengar has had that exact ability before. Once during your turn during your opponent's. Or once during your opponent's turn, if Gengar would be knocked out. But from damage from an attack, you may flip a coin if heads, the defending Pokemon is knocked out. So people would just play that and just. It was very tough to. To fight against. Yu-Gi-Oh but you played that with the Storm Front Machamp, and it just basically said if your opponent's Pokemon is a basic Pokemon, for one fighting, it just gets knocked out. Pretty darn good. Okay. All right, let's. Let's look a little bit ahead. Justin. Yes. There's. There's. There's been talk of, you know, tournaments approaching. Do you have anything lined up on the. On the horizon? Yu-Gi-Oh I wish. Um, I'm not in a position to travel to one right now, so I am. I am trying to figure out how to get to Vegas. Nice. Because that would be a crazy event. I mean, I just. I could care less that it's in Vegas. I just want to play in a regional. Yu-Gi-Oh let's. You know what? Let's Go ahead and look at the schedule. I'm going to pull it up here. Okay. Championship series events. You can just go to championships Pokemon to find this. And they have an events tab. Excuse me. Yu-Gi-Oh so Baltimore is the next one, which is in 10 days or under that. I mean I typically get out of work around six, but there's a league challenge at 6:30, so I'm gonna see if I could probably get out a little early on that Wednesday. Wednesday, like next week or. What are we talking Uptown, the. The 23rd. Okay. I just got a math out how far it is. Nice. But I think I can do it. So my goal is to like. I know, I know we talk a lot about like what we're gonna go for and all these things. My goals for this season is to actually like try and get as many local points as possible. If I do well at regionals, it'll force me to want to strive to do more. But where I'm not doing any of the other ones prior to that, it's one of those. It's kind of like feels bad. Yu-Gi-Oh It's like if I was. Right now my mindset is just strictly on Garchomp. I really enjoy Garchomp. It did well. It did well at Worlds. It got 63rd, you know, got fourth place on a, I don't know, something. On Limitless they went seven and three. So it's, you know, it's there. I don't know what to do to make it better. Currently I've seen a bunch of lists online using the forest to evolve their Ros Rosalia into Roserade quickly. A lot of decks are playing the upper energy. I'm still very hungo on reset stamp because the environment for that card is this environment. I think in order to keep up speed wise, you need to be very disruptive to your opponent because big hands are just everywhere. I think the Rocky energies hold a lot of weight because it affects Dragapult's placements, it affects alakazams, you know, placing things. Yu-Gi-Oh it's just getting stuck in the active for Roserade is an issue. So figuring out a way for that to get removed, you know, I do Run a switch. But I don't think that's enough because everybody that I've talked to is pretty much just like, it's going to get stuck in the Active. It's going to get stuck in the Active. Yu-Gi-Oh So when do you think the next time you could play it in person? I mean, I have been playing it at leagues or. Yu-Gi-Oh At my friend Zack Shop. So what do you struggle against right now? Like, I've got pretty much the matchups for most decks figured out. I mean, I play tested for the first time against Mega Extra Drill, but you know, they miss. They miss one Metal Maker and then I attach the second energy and I have Rosary Ros Roserades built. I can one shot it. It's not a big deal. And it feels really good. It's like, okay, there's three Prizm cards. Did you look at the 63rd place list from Worlds? I did. And. Oh, and here it's plays in the Opera and you prefer the. I prefer reset stamp. Reset. But they were also playing, you know, the switch in there too. They're playing Poke Gear. I don't think I have Poke Gear in there. And they're playing a fourth Power Weight, which I will say I. I played against Slow Slow King for the first time. And that was really interesting because they're just able to just draw two with the Mega Kangaskhan consistently. They just play Cypher's Maniac and just go put whatever they want in the top of their deck, draw the two cards they need, and then with the stadium, that lets them put one card from their hand at the top of the deck, they're just. They just put Kyurem and then they do 130 to everything. So Zenith Power Weight is probably the strongest card that could help. But also Shaman. And it's like you can see that in the 63rd list. Nice. They're running. Or actually they're not running the Shaman, but they are running the fourth. The fourth power weight. All right, so I pulled up Zenith Guard Shop and play Limitless because I was curious on how it does against certain decks. And according to this, it actually has a favorable matchup versus Dragon Pult. Yes, it's just. It's just the. And like the amount of pressure you can put at that that fast. Because if you go first, you attach an energy Gibble, you know, whatever. Let's just say you. You get one Rose Rose Rosary Rosalia down. Sorry, it took me way too long to say that. You get one Rosalia and another Gibble. Down like that's just basic. That's what you get. Yu-Gi-Oh And you pass. They put down at your cloak. If you are able to have a boss's orders and you have the ability to go grab a Gabite, you evolve. Gabite, you champions call for the other Gabite. You champions call for the Roserade. And then your one energy attack is doing 70 damage right out. Right out of the gate. So you're just applying pressure to whichever one they put an energy on. And then next turn, let's just say they, you know, they evolve into their Dr. Cloak. You are now a Garchomp and you can boss his orders and take them out for one energy you like. You don't need to add additional resources. You just. Champions call and continue to build your board. It's. And then you just need to use. Yu-Gi-Oh 2675. Yu-Gi-Oh Then you only need two rose raids to one shot. A dragon pole. If they do end up getting one out. Yu-Gi-Oh Interesting. Yu-Gi-Oh It says as a favorable matchup against all versions, Straight Dragapult, Dragon Pult, Dust Noir and Dragon Ball Blazin. Yu-Gi-Oh Again, it's just speed and really the rocky energies. But less favorable wonders right now. Well, that's why I'm saying like you so in this list, they do not run the reset stamp and they don't even run Judge. So that is why they would lose to Alakazam because they have no way to limit their hand. I do run to judge and a reset stamp because I don't want to deal with that. And like also the reset stamp and the judges help me against Team Rockets Honchkrow because they like to hoard all their supporters. They're like, oh, you can't. You can't get to me because I. I have all these supporters. I'm going to one shot you. I mean there's they. They also have means to get them back. But again, limiting their hand is Zebra important. It does stink when it's the only card in your hand. But Garchomp just recovers. It's just constantly recovering. So even if you judge and you go down to four cards, you're gonna attack and draw two cards anyways. Okay. Here. You're always gonna be drawing cards. Let's talk about this list then from. Let's see. Let's go here. This is from Monster Collectibles after hours season two number one Esper, number one fan. They went seven and one in a 200 person tournament playing Garchomp. And I will open the decklist here. What do you think about they're playing your unfair stamp. Okay, hang on, let me. I'm just trying to find it to completed. He said it was 200. It was like 236. It was called Monster Collectibles after our season two number one. Well, now I have to find it because you didn't send me a list. Oh, there it is. All right. Monster Collectibles. Yu-Gi-Oh Seven and one. That's huge. Yu-Gi-Oh And if you go over to the list, I want to see what you think about their list. Okay. That looks awfully like mine. But hey, look, they're running. I don't. But it would be a way to get rid of stadiums on my opponent's side and be able to allow me to play Rosalia and then evolve it into Roserade that same turn. I gotta remind myself what Roserade does adds 30 damage to any of my Zenith Pokemon attacks. Also something that like nobody really like talks about is how good Spiritomb is because you just like let them build up damage. If they can't one shot you for Garchomp. If they don't bosses orders you. I've had like 400 plus damage and then I just Tribute a. A spirit tomb and attacked with Spiritomb and took two Prizm cards or three Prizm cards from Omega. And then they boss, they want to target your Garchomp. So the bosses are the Garchomp. Like you're still hitting for 200 plus damage because you've got Rosalias and Rosaries. So you're just adding more damage. Yu-Gi-Oh So this, they're playing team rocks. It's petroleum. It's good to go get buddy buddy puffins and stuff like that. I don't know. I. I still feel judge is important. You'd rather play judge than petrol? I mean like maybe like I don't even know. But it's nice consistency though. Yes, I will say that I would, I would argue probably instead of the poke gear because I get the poke gear digs and you can go look for something. But I'd probably argue two judge and one petrol if I. If I had to because I think I was playing one poke gear and then I switched to night stretchers. Well, what's nice about petrols because you know, you can prioritize, you know, buddy buddy getting that out you. But you can find your one of rare candy. You could find your power weights. You could find a switch. I will say you could find not having the rare candy or the force of vitality to speed things up kind of Stinks. I have seen. I saw a list now or so. Can you find your unfair stamp off of this? Yes. Yu-Gi-Oh So I can see why they play petrol. It does now. I guess you really just bank you on unfair stamping them at the right time. But who knows maybe instead of the poke gear you just swap that for a judge and. And that's the thing with Garchomp is it's. It's main base. The skeleton of it which is the 443-43-311 spiritomb43 roserade 443 garchomp. That's very. That. That is the skeleton for it. Adjustments can be made all around it but for the most part most players are playing that and so you know. But it's everything around it. All the trainers that they could play. You never know which ASPEC they're playing because they could play this. I've. I've toyed with maybe the max Max rod to grab up to five in any combination of Pokemon and basic energies and then just playing like red card and going that direction. So I. I don't know. There. There's. There are different ways to be able to play this and I've seen even like the giant tree, the one where you can take your Pokemon and evolve it and then evolve it again. You can like search your deck for those evolutions. Is that now what force vitality is? I think so, Yu-Gi-Oh Oh tree. The Grand Tree. Yes. It's an aspec. Yu-Gi-Oh So A it counts as a stadium. B it lets you just evolve. But the crappy downside with that is you lose gibytes ability of champions call which is. Feels so strong. But I guess like if you got this like later on in the game it would be huge. Or just honestly if you had it turned two and you just like evolved. Evolved. I. I don't know how you stop that. Yu-Gi-Oh Two turns ahead drawing six starring until you have six cards like that just feels so good. I don't. Yu-Gi-Oh I don't know. It'd be tough because it'd be tough to warrant putting that in over unfair stamp because it's just the huge hands are just absurd right now. Yes. I think you could do that but you would have to go heavy into judge after that. Yu-Gi-Oh I think a red card and two judge would be the Absolute like necessary in order to con like if you're going for the tree. Yu-Gi-Oh I don't know but there's so many different ways to build it with a base skeleton. I just think it's it's underrated, and that's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it. Which one was it? Yu-Gi-Oh right. It was a new one for me. I had never done the Ranger city card show. This was done in Haverhill, Mass. It was pretty good. It was at a gym, like, nice location. It seemed pretty out of the way as far as, like, it didn't look like it was on, like, a main road or anything, but I guess all schools are kind of like a little tucked away. We get in, find our table set up. It's a good show. People are happy. People are excited. The way they run it is they have, like, stickers, and you complete a badge basically by interacting with the vendors. So if you got a. If you paid for something, dollar minimum or whatever. So did you hand out these stickers or did the. Yes. Yu-Gi-Oh And so if they got all eight badges, eight stickers, and every vendor had a different color, but it was all the same colors. Like, so, you know, they had multiple vendors had orange, multiple vendors had red. And so just if you dealt with somebody, they gave you a sticker, and if you got all eight, you brought it to the front and they would give you, like, a $10 coupon, basically. Oh, that's cool. And then you'd bring that to any table, and they're good for that table. And then at the end, we just exchanged it for actual money. Oh, nice. Did you have. Yu-Gi-Oh it was. It was cool. Yu-Gi-Oh I had one person. Nice. I had traded in a Dene gx, the electric one. And I think it goes for, like, 15. Really? The one that. The one that allowed you to discard your hand and draw six cards. Yes. And they paid with that and then traded some cards to equal the value. But all in all, it was a good show. It rained and. Oh, no, you didn't get your cards wet, did you? No. But, you know, getting a used car is never, you know, it's not without its flaws and oh, no, I can't leak. Well, I go to the car, I pull it up, and then when I jump out to go in the trunk to open it up, there's a big puddle of water. And I was like, what? And you know, there's not a lot of things that really, like, get me like, to a, to a, I'm, I'm upset now area. And this was one of those things where it got me upset. I was like, I'm gonna put cardboard in this car. What did you do? Did you find like a towel or something? I mean, I had, I had like my tablecloth, so it just like. Yu-Gi-Oh and it was like on a flat surface. So I was like, it's gotta be something like, you know, any of the runners, any chance you just didn't like, close the trunk all the way? Nope. No, it was, there was, there was like an electrical thing that wasn't like clicked in all the way. Oh, I, I, I noticed it too when I, when I had like, lifted up the trunk at one point, I was like, oh, it came loose. But I brought it back to the dealership and they were able to just like Select it and push it back in and everything. So. Nice. It's, it's leak proof now. Hooray. So, so I'm hoping that that took care of it. I haven't gone in the car look yet, but it did rain tonight, so maybe after the podcast. Maybe. So. Yu-Gi-Oh I'll check. So I was like, okay, he's using his own money to do that. Whatever, that's cool. At least he's thinking about other people and not just him. All right, and so last up here we have Justin's surprise article that, that I don't know anything about, but he said he wants to surprise me, so Justin, take the Fleer Okay, so I don't know if you saw this. I posted this in the Discord earlier. But from the New York Post, from this guy who's a venture capitalist, he predicts Pokemon cards would be the global currency in an apocalypse. Do you agree? And which cards do you think would be valuable? And the actual article just kind of talks about, you know, Pokemon cards, blah, whatever. The actual article doesn't really matter. It's just an interesting thought experiment. Right. Like, what do you think would be considered a valuable card? Is it purely based off of rarity? Is it based off of what people like? Or is it based off of what's cool or, you know. So I think rarity plays the highest factor. So yes, the gold and the, like this sars, any of the chase polls will still hold value because those would be the highest value. Now in this scenario, yes, there's graded cards, the apocalypse is. But I think there's no Internet. So it's based purely off of what you remember. Yes. And I, and I totally understand that. So I think a lot of psa, old vintage stuff, like, yes, you'd have to try to find one of those lights and do your best because it's a dog eat dog world at this point. And I can guarantee you people would be taking any random graded card and just being like, Yu-Gi-Oh I've got this. And try to like just hand it to you. And then, Yu-Gi-Oh like, things could get out of hand very quick. But as far as cards go, I think currency would be. If I'm a player, like, if I want to like play the card game, those trainers would probably be the highest value to me. Things that I need to play a deck to build a deck to still play the game and enjoy it. Yu-Gi-Oh I think those would mean the most to me. Whereas people would be on the streets, like, look at all. Look at, I have a box of commons. Somebody trade me something other valuable. Like, you know what I mean? See, I, I was thinking about a market. Sealed promos would be like a, a good currency that's like quick. Yu-Gi-Oh Because they're like, oh, this one's in a package. The dust hasn't gotten to it. I almost feel like there would have to be, like, an understanding of no matter the age of the card, all commons are worth, like, let's say, 25 cents. And. And then you kind of, like, scale up from there. Uncommons are like, I don't know, 75 cents. No, because we would all remember, like, oh, an ex is like, maybe a dollar, maybe 50 cents, whatever they want to call it. But then. But you. Would you do it by era then? I don't know. Because, like, for me, the vintage stuff would be more, like, more expensive. More valuable. Because this stuff just looks cool. Yu-Gi-Oh Okay. Doesn't mean it is cool. So if I had. Let's just say I had a celebrations Charizard from the 2021 set. The 2020 set? No, the 2021 is this. That's when celebrations came out. This is 2026. So five years ago, the 25th anniversary would have been 2021. Yu-Gi-Oh Anyways, where is I going with this? If you had that Charizard. If you had that Charizard, what do you think I could get? Do you think I could get, like, some pounds of beef here? To eat? Like to eat? Or you're like, all right, make me. Make me a sandwich. I think you'd be well taken care of. I think you'd be well taken care of. Maybe I could get, like, you know, a handgun and some ammo. Because in this case, it's the apocalypse, so you need that. Yu-Gi-Oh I think. Yu-Gi-Oh And he's like, Yu-Gi-Oh it's worth thousands of dollars. And I'm like. I was like, I don't want it. I wouldn't even like. I was like, I personally wouldn't even trade you for my Pokemon card. Like, that's how much I don't want it. Yu-Gi-Oh And I'm like, good luck. Because you have to find somebody that likes it. Yes. Just because it's worth a theoretical amount, you still have to have it. End buyer. Yes. And I can tell you that everybody wants a Pikachu. They don't want random pow Yu-Gi-Oh cards. So in the apocalypse, do you think people would burn fire energy? Fire energy cards for actual fire. You know, kind of like the meme videos, you know, like, oh, I Think. I think we would see a lot of opening up those packs of energies that you get with the ETBs and just being like, let's set fire. Fire to these. Yu-Gi-Oh Or. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh I don't know. That's an interesting, like, theory. And then to jumbo cards, are the. What are those considered? Yu-Gi-Oh you know what I mean? Are those, like, worth two of an ex. Because they're just bigger. Yu-Gi-Oh Because then, you know, like, in the. In the near term, it's like, oh, they're not really worth a ton, because who wants those? But, like, in the long term, you know, like, 20 years from now, the apocalypse has gone on, who knows? You don't. People are not gonna be like, oh, those extra big cards, people didn't want them back in the day. Now, like, oh, that's cool. I'd rather have the bigger art. Yu-Gi-Oh With. With no, you know, apocalypse. No doctors. You know, maybe like, less of, like, I can read this because it's so big. Yu-Gi-Oh I can't read the other one because it's so small. And then it's like, you know, maybe we'd really value the kind of, like, the. The real art pieces, like, the real trainer gallery type stuff that makes us reminisce of a nicer time. And that would be worth more than something that's deemed rare just because there's less printed of them. Yu-Gi-Oh I guess it's.
