It's episode 22. Yes it is. Adam, how we doing today man? Busy work week. Busy week altogether, but it's. It's been fun man. It's been fun. You know a lot of wrestling over the weekend. Really complain. Got a bit of a tight schedule today so we're going to try and fit this all in as usual. But how about you? Good. Watched a lot of wrestling this weekend. It was a jam packed week and watched a lot of great wrestling this weekend. I just wrestling some incredible matches. I'm sure we're going to talk over, but just days away from heading out on family vacation. But everything's good, man. Just enjoying the summer. I guess it's summertime means I get to sleep in an extra 20 minutes each day. That's a win. I know, right? Like my kids have like two days of school left. We're gonna, we're gonna have a good time this summer. A lot of, a lot of trips planned. National Fanatics Fest, like everything. It's gonna be, it's gonna be great. Absolutely. Let's fire away. Let's get started. All right, here we go. We're getting to the opening pyro. Man, there's so much to talk about here. I think there's more wrestling news to talk about than there really is with, with the actual cards. But we'll get into it. So Clash in Italy happens last weekend. I don't think there was any real surprises coming out of it. I mean we, we did get one title change with Sol Ruka beating Becky Lynch. I don't think that was unexpected and we'll talk about that here in a second. But just curious, initial reactions for, for Clash Nidalee, what was your, what were your thoughts? I thought Gunther was going to walk out the champion but obviously the way it ended. They're setting it up for another match clearly. I mean this is, it's kind of has the Randy Orton elbow down esque match with him and Gunther at. So what was that? Night of champion King of the ring. Wasn't that. Whatever it was, whatever it was back in the day. So I feel like they're leaving an open ended book and. But also it preserves the Gunther continue winning streak continues. I guess technically even though he lost. I guess they could say technicality. He was, his foot was outside the ring, but outside of that, yeah, everything was about expected great matches all around. I had a feeling it's 5050 on soul. Becky, I thought, thought they would put on Soul. I think they're seeing the time. Becky's at the point in her career now. I think she needs to move on two bigger, better things. But I think she also wants to be putting on, putting over some of these younger talent like she used to be put over, you know. Yeah, I think that's her biggest thing is like she saw Sol Ruka as somebody that could benefit from having sort of this title run. And I think that they've been strapping rockets to people coming out of NXT as they should. It might have been a little early, but I mean Cassoul is still kind of establishing herself and her character or whatever character she has as the surfer girl or whatever. But, you know, it was. It was a great match. Becky gets great matches out of everybody, and Soul's a great worker. So I think we're just now trying to figure out what happens for her and what happens for Becky, whether that's moving on to Live Morgan or something else. But, yeah, I think, like, the Cody and Gunther match, like, there's just got to be something different, man. Like, I like Gunther's great in the ring. Like, I love watching him beat the shit out of people, but it's just like, I. Like, I've seen this before. He's not what Smackdown needs right now. Smackdown is hurting so bad, and getting Guther to have the title is not going to help the situation. You've got to pivot and figure this out. But they've got to pivot with Cody, too. Like, they had it with. With. They had it set up with Randy Orton. They had everything ready to go, and it's just like, I don't know why they can't capitalize. Not going to beat a dead horse with this. Trust me. I know. I know. We know. We all on the same page. We're on. Okay, I. I put out on Twitter, and I want to talk about one more match from the show, and then we'll move on, because I. Or two matches with Tribal, it might be Brock and Nova. So. Yeah. Yeah. So I promised on Twitter I was going to have just an epic rant here, and I'm. I'm just like, I am so, so upset with the way that WWE has booked this Obemi and Brock Lesnar feud. I'm not saying the match was bad. I'm not saying the setup was all that bad. I'm saying it is completely and utterly unnecessary. And, like, I don't care that Brock Lesnar had more dates. I don't care that this is, like, a way to, you know, get everybody excited again. I don't care about any of that. Like, this match had zero reason to exist. The next match has zero reason to exist. They had, and I said this last week, they had a perfect exit for Brock Lesnar. They put over one of their biggest young talents. He has clearly captivated this crowd. You heard the reaction in Italy. You heard the reaction on Monday Night Raw. This guy is over than any other person not named Roman Reigns. Like, there is literally no one on this roster that deserved to have that moment at WrestleMania more than Obafemi, given all he's put into this, his background, his future, everything. Why is this happening? And then, oh, by the way, we're going to put him in the King of the Ring tournament. So now if he wins that, he can't have a match with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. So what is that? If so, then if he doesn't win that, he takes another L. What are you doing? Like, I, I, I honestly want to know what is going on here. That they thought this was a good idea. This was the worst idea I've seen. Hunter Helmsley, Triple H terrorizing. Why are you booking this? I am honestly dumbfounded by this. Just said terrorizing. Okay, so rumbling's going on. This could be more of a legal matter, a contractual manner with TKO for all. We understand that problem is coming out why this is happening. Brock wanted to go on his own terms. TKO said nope, you have a contract. Who knows? You know, who are we? We're just two guys who talk sports cards wrestling on a podcast. But it would seem that way because you're, you're right. That was a match of all matches at WrestleMania to end Brock Lesnar's career, to put over Oba to the next limit to where he's going to go. Now you put yourself against the back, against the wall, as you put it. The only way he's not going to win, the only way he cannot win King of the Ring. To have this match is if Brock Ler interferes in a match with King of the Ring, taking Oba out. And then, then you get your match between Brock and Oba at SummerSlam, which is probably what's going to happen, which also hurts Oba again, again, another loss. I don't know. It's frustrating. I have not talked to one single soul that watches wrestling that thinks that any of this is a great idea. This is the worst booking we've seen in a long time. You had the page, the book closed at WrestleMania and you had to reopen it for this shit. Like, seriously, like they could have put him in King of the Ring. He could have won King of the Ring. He could have gone on to SummerSlam and beat Roman Reigns and had just this epic run as champion. And nothing about that would have been anything less than amazing for his cards, for his fans, for the wwe establishing a new star. Like, his cards are on fire. This hurts those cards. Like I, I, there's people just react negatively to, to, to L's and like that's what happens. And I think now that we know he's either going to lose King of the Ring or not retire Brock Lesnar and that goes to somebody else. Or maybe they push that match out to Saudi Arabia and WrestleMania again. Again, like none of this makes sense. It is so dumb. And it hurts the hobby. It hurts his cards, it hurts everything they. And now he could go on to be a multi time champion. I hope he does because I am a huge fan of Obafemi. I love seeing him in the ring. I love him on the mic. I think he has everything that collectors love. I think he has everything that the wrestling fans love. There's nothing not to like about this guy and this is how you do him. I just. It's such a disservice. I agree. And here's the deal. WWE is long term storytelling. It's not like aew, you have these incredible matches and then you go on in the sunset. This is long term storytelling. I feel like they're going to pivot this many ways. I think going back is you're not going to see him in Roman anytime soon. They're obviously making Roman the OGC and them stronger than ever with Fatu now getting in line. So. So I think that pivots to another later day. But I feel like you have to have Oba and Brock at SummerSlam. It has to conclude. Brock has to lose there. You cannot bury Oba like this. If you lose him at SummerSlam, you just lost every momentum you had with this guy. This was a passing of the torch. This was an incredible moment to pass the torch. Like Stone Cold was passed the torch from Shawn Michaels for Shawn Michaels went out with his neck surgery was out for years. This was your chance to pass it. It was done beautifully and I'm. I hope it was done on Brock's terms. It's just unfortunate it's going this way. I know we could talk an hour about this and go back. Yeah, we were like, we could have a podcast. Nobody is happy about this. If you're a wrestling fan, how can any of this be good? This is not great. This is horrible writing, horrible storytelling, horrible booking all around. But I don't know how this is going to play out. But I just don't foresee him winning King of the Rain because you just can't have that match. Right. You can't have. He can't. Then he's got to take another loss. Even if it's a disqual, it won't be a disqualification. He'll get knocked out or something will happen. And it has to at this point. But it also makes him look weak. Gosh. Terrifying, man. So let's talk Quickly about tribal combat because I thought that was actually pretty fun. That was awesome. And I, I, I love what they're doing with Jacob Fatu. I think they're building him into a monster. And then, yeah, I mean like he acknowledges Roman Reigns, maybe the bloodline gets back on track. I don't like the call to Solo Sokoa and the mfts. Like I think they're mid carders for life at this point and it's unfortunate that they're kind of like okay, how do we now, now where do we go? Because I, I wanted them to have this plan ready to go and I thought the tribal combat story was great. I thought the, the feud with Roman Reigns was great. I love Jacob Fatu's intensity and I think Roman is on again on another plane still after all these years. That character is still like that crowd in Italy was as hot as ever and they let Roman Reigns know for like 10 straight minutes. It was absolutely incredible. Yeah, it was. No, I mean obviously I think they're making the bloodline way stronger this time around. Fatu is clearly way more dominant than the Solo Siko who was really dominant at the time. But yeah, it makes him look stronger, better. You know, I think that's what they're trying to say is this, this run, this new bloodline is going to be more of like an in between face heel, not just like heels but they, they were heels and they were just getting over his faces because everybody loved it. But now it's like they're coming in as a face but they can have do bad things, whatever, however, kind of like. Yeah, exactly. It's kind of like everybody likes it, you know. So I feel like this time around we're going to see some more hard fought matches for Roman, more title defenses. I just don't know who his next opponent's going to be. Yeah, you're right. Mft. Who cares? That's nothing like that is like what are we doing here? Like, let's get on. We've got SummerSlam to think about. So who's going to be Roman's next opponent? Who's going to put up a fight? You got, I mean at this point he's, he's had a battle at this point between the Punk match now two incredible matches with Fatu. You got to put somebody strung up against him to not make, you know, to kind of beat that down a little bit for what Fatu stood for. So yeah, I'm not sure where they go. Well, I'm sure we'll find out. Very quickly because the king of the ring, I. I think the winner probably goes to face Roman versus Cody. I don't know. We'll find out. It could be Seth if you saw he did last night. Oh yeah, yeah. It could be Seth Rollins at Rome and Roman Reigns could be a night. We've seen it a ton of times. We just know it's going to be a great match. You know, it's going to be I guess put the hold on Seth. I know that but I, I think you could go that route or. Because I just don't think Breaker is ready for that moment, to be honest with you. No, you're not. He's not. So I think they could. He was. I mean he was a little bit, but now he's not. He's not. So we went the other way. All right, let's talk about Nochi de los Grandes because I was absolutely enthralled by this match. I think there are two presentations of two matches very similar in, in sort of the way that it's been presented. One of them was Bad Bunny in Puerto Rico and his match there with Damian Priest and the other one is this. Now it's funny, injuries in WWE have one of two effects. Either they find some way to make it absolutely insane or they just completely write the person off of TV and there's nothing that happens. And they come back and they get a big pop and it goes on. This is one of those injury situations. Chad Gable gets injured, they need to continue and they bring in Ludwig Kaiser who to beat Grande Americano after separating from Gunther. Like is there a better story of like resurgence than what has happened here? And this match, the entrances, the presentation, the blood, the tearing of the masks, like everything was so absolutely awesome. Five star classic. Everything about this was great. I, I hope you feel the same way because I will not accept anything. I literally watched that. I've watched it twice now. I'm just seeing this. I want to go back and watch it a third time. No question. Match of the year maybe the match long time actually handle works for me. So that's the best match he's seen the past five years. You know, he doesn't watch a lot of wrestling, but he watches the, the times you see some of the best matches. That crowd really put that in perspective. It was all around done amazing from start to finish. Hands down what it's doing for both these guys careers. We knew Chad Gable was a hell of a wrestler. We knew that. I never really got to see lil bit Kaiser really shine man, that match right there really has put both of these guys to the next level. Gable now, I think, should be getting roaring, roaring response from the fans when he comes back up to WWE as Chad Gable. That, you know, this was just amazing. And again, who, who would have thought that we were going on this, this train was going to take us on the track to this match at one point and it to be considered the match of the year. No, I don't think it's a doubt. I mean, I think it's going to stay the match of the year. I don't know if anything could put this over. It was special. You just knew it. It was one of those special matches. You felt it from the beginning and you knew it was just special as you were watching it. And it's one of those matches where you're going to want to go back and watch over and over and over. And that. That doesn't happen all the time. I mean, outside of like a WrestleMania or something like that, this wasn't even on. This is aaa. And it, it really put we in Triple A. We've heard a lot of great things about. I've watched the matches, really put AAA way more on the map. What Undertaker is doing down there is unbelievable. I'm excited to tune in to watch these more often. If I want to watch great wrestling, That's. That's where it's happening at. And people are buying these cards too. Like, that's what's so crazy is, like, people are going and buying Ludwig Kaiser cards now because they, they see what that's about. I, I still think Gable is past the expiration date with Shorty G and all the other stuff they've done with him. Like, it's just, it's never going to be. He's never going to have the collecting potential. But, like, if Ludy Kaiser goes and beats Dominic Mysterio for the Mega title, like, I, I think that's a legitimate possibility here. And like, he's now Grande American. There's no there. He. That's who he is. Like, he's found his, his. His gimmick for life. And that's absolutely awesome. I think it's awesome. I think it's great for him. I think it's great for. Great for Gable to. To kind of pass that torch essentially all around. Just. Wow. Just again, I want to go. I think I'm going to literally turn on like a Peter when I get back to work here after the. They played it after Raw, like, that's how good it was. After so look at this card. I so I posted this on Twitter. I for some reason my tweet got more tweets than Tops, which is really weird. But like I like 400,000 people engage with my tweet. Like that's how crazy this card is. Absolute banger of a card for Tops now they. It's Kaiser on the shoulders of, of his. Of Bravo and, and Ryo. I, There's a, there's a base version this. I think this is the sp. But man, what an absolute amazing Tops now card. I want to briefly touch on King of the Ring because I, I just, I have no words like how does any of like it's like chat GPT made these brackets and like I don't have any other explanation. It's like why is Liv Morgan in the women's tournament? Like, like then they try to make up some like kayfabe explanation for it. It doesn't fix the fact that your champion is in the fucking tournament and she's facing Becky to start. Right? Like what do you do? Like what is like if she loses, she's the champion. Like oh my God. So this is interesting. And then Oba wins the first round match for the men. Clearly they're, I mean no, no doubt there. Just complete aura. And then Eos guy wins the women's match. I think the winner is probably going to face Liv Morgan. But does that mean the winner of the men's goes to. I mean there's so many questions here that I just don't understand. And so first look who you got winning the men and who you got winning the women. I mean I'm gonna go Seth, at this point I just don't think Oba is going to do it. Only because the fact that you're. And I feel bad for Penta, the situation. I mean I don't know if Brock's gonna feel. Yeah, I mean here, look at this though. It's like okay, you have Oba and Penta, but then you got Solo and Carmel Hayes and I like Carmel Hayes a lot. But it's like really, Oba has a pizza, has to face Oba to start. Well, that's some great moments. It was a four way match. So like they were all in there. So like. Yeah, I get it. Exactly. It is. But it's just like, it's wild that, that how it plays out. So we've got Oba obviously winning this one. And when is Becky and live on. Is it Friday now? They're on next. I think they're on next Monday. Next Monday. Okay, so. Or maybe on smackdown. I don't know. It doesn't matter. Like, I. These whole things just make me upset. So. Yeah. So Seth, obviously, you got tell me Tangaloa or Ricky Saints or. I mean, Javon Evans could win, but I think Seth is gonna win in the guys. I think that's gonna be a great match for him and Roman to have. And then I'm gonna go women's side. I'm gonna go a little sneaky here. I'm gonna go with Roxanne Perez. I could see her and live facing off. Oh, wow. I haven't. I even got to catch up on that yesterday because it threw me out booze yesterday. Oh, no, you're good, man. Oh, so eo. Right, okay, sorry. Then I'm gonna go EO then. Yeah. I think. I think from my. My perspective, I think you. You, Seth is the obvious choice for the men. I think it's like, there's really not many other people that have a story to tell with one of the champions. I think Seth probably goes on. The winners face the other champions at SummerSlam. So, like, if Liv Morgan ends up winning, are they doing live versus Ria at Summer? Like, I. I don't get it. So I would say from the women's side, I. I think you could easily have Becky win and Sol Ruka win and then have a rematch in the semifinals. That might be interesting, but I. I don't think Becky's going to win this. I think she probably just gets the match with Liv Morgan. I think probably Charlotte Flair or some stupid thing like that where they have, you know, Bliss, maybe. Bliss versus Riyami. I don't. Somebody in that trio that they've been playing off of on smackdown tv. Interesting. People doing horribly uninteresting things. I. It's just terrible. So either way, let's move on to some card stuff, because I think if. If I had to pick. Obafemi wins. The men's tournament goes on and wins. Like, that's the best for the hobby. But I think on the women's side, there. There's not much here that really improves. Like, maybe, like, if Julia hadn't lost, maybe she gets a nice little push. She faces IO. You know, if they had done this bracket correctly, like, that could have been a cool match. They totally botched that. Like, maybe Raquel Rodriguez pulls it off. Like, who knows? But, like, there's. There's not much hobby Love that can really sort of do it. I would love to sell it, see Chelsea Green get a shot But I don't think she's ready for it. Where's Tiffany Stratton in all of this? How is she not in this mix? Like, I have no idea. I have no idea. All right. This is the afterback of WrestleMania. Yeah. This is what happens every year. All right, Cosmic comes out. If you're listening to this. It came out earlier this week. If you're. As we're recording, it's coming out in a couple of days here, $240 a box on TOPS website. It is likely going to start breaking tomorrow as we're recording this on Tuesday. I. I'm. I'm really curious. Like, I, I think the slots are, are pretty inexpensive compared to what we're seeing with royalty. A lot of cheaper slots that you can have a lot of fun. I mean, like, Oba Femi's cheap. Tiffany Stratton is relatively cheap. Ria is still expensive, but not as expensive as royalty. Right. And like, there's a, like, if they don't have a planet, like, a lot of these guys are pretty inexpensive and I think that'll be good for collectors. But I mean, it's still 300 plus a box on the secondary market. It's not that accessible product. I think it should be. I'm curious, like, what's. What, what do you think just coming into this week, is it, is it going to have the impact that people think? I've. I've heard some. As we talked about last week, it's. It's been a bit mixed, but I think it's trending positive now. I think people are kind of getting excited. I'm seeing some of the previews that Stephanie Vacair that they previewed was pretty cool, like, so I think, you know, maybe we get some nice little bump here, but it just doesn't feel like a marquee product to me still. Yeah, I think the biggest thing is the fact you're only getting two to three autos in a box case. I think that's going to really affect a lot. So when the breaker has this background, it's going to be two to three autos. Could be somebody that's 20 bucks case hit and a bunch of numbered cards. Not really appealing, obviously, but these inserts, these case hits do look beautiful. They look awesome. And that's what's going to drive the market. The super fractures we know are going to be the big chases outside of the big, big case hits. So I think it's at a really good price point at where it's at right now. I It will not hover at 240, but I see it being in that 250 to 300 range. I don't think this product will go up right away. I think the fact that it lacks having that autograph element. But that's Cosmic Chrome for you. I have said it, and I. Anna, Adam knows this. I'm only joining Breaks with basically three people, maybe four. But it's Stephanie Mama Breaks, it's Latent Sports Cards, and it's Blessed. That's about it. And I'm. I said I'm not going heavy on this. Adam, you're the same as me on this as well. You're really cutting back. But the spots are crazy. I'm only buying at this point for myself. I'm buying Randy Orton, and then, like, Leighton has the Wyatt Six as a package. I think it was like 30 bucks for all of them with Bray Wyatt, and that's. You can't beat that. Yeah. And then I think about Bray and bless his break. So, I mean, I'm. I'm not buying Rounds because I'm shifting. I'm just going to go rounds one on one. So I'm saving some money. I went so heavy on Royalty that it's in Chrome, obviously. I'm going to take a seat back and just try to grab the ones I want to get. I'm kind of taking the. The approach of I'm not going to go as heavy in case price. I think that's going to be the census by a lot of people. Yeah, I think I'm the same way. Not because I hate this product, like, I think is. Yeah, it's just I. It. Chrome and Royalty broke me. Like, it was just. I said that on hobby nonsense earlier. I was on. I was like, I just. It just broke me. And it was just like, it's not financially, mentally, personally, everything. Like, it was just like, we did so much for those products. It's like, it's really hard to get back up to that level of intensity again. I just can't dedicate it to this. I'm in a few breaks. Like, I bought a few slots because they're not too expensive. I bought Blairs, I bought Stephanie. I bought a few others, like, because I want to support them. I think they. They do good work. And to your point, and so I want to support them, but I also want to make sure that I don't dedicate the type of funds to a product that I don't think is going to be as important as Chrome is or as valuable as Royalty is so, you know, it is what it is. And I think like people are going to love or hate this product. There's kind of really no middle ground. Same with Cactus Jack. And like, I think the planets are going to be big, especially the rarer ones. I'm going to try and buy some singles there. It's going to be. I think they're going to be more common than people think just because of this smaller checklist. But the autograph checklist is super deep. And if you're only getting two to three case, like, that's going to be a major issue. So it's going to take eight to 10 cases. So even though the cases are cheaper, it's probably going to take eight to 10 cases just to get a hit. Like you would have maybe in 2 to 3 of Chrome, if not less. Right. All right. The tops for WrestleMania 42 sets have started shipping. I think I get mine on Thursday of this week. We're again taping on Tuesday, so I'm heading off for work trip. I won't get it until Friday. I ordered a bunch of them. I know you ordered a bunch of them. I think these are really cool looking cards and I've. Some of them have already landed. People got the expedited shipping, so they got them in hand like yesterday and they have. So basically you get every order. You get a set and I think there's like, you know, a number of the main wrestlers from WrestleMania 42 in the set. Then you either get a legend sp, you get a parallel which is like a lucky hit if you order tops now regularly, or you can either get an on card active wrestler autograph or sticker autograph of a legend on the screen here. If you're following along Patreon, you can see the Undertaker 101 was already pulled. Really cool looking card. It's a sticker, but it's still cool looking. Brock Lesnar's base parallel. One of one is the foil fractor has been pulled. That looks really cool. I'm really eager to see how these cards look in person. I. I'm like, when do you get yours? Whenever. I haven't honestly checked tracking. I would like to have it in by Thursday like you because leaving Friday for vacation. Otherwise I'm gonna come back. Think I bought 25 of them. I think it was because it was, what were they, like 60, 70 bucks a set or something? Yeah, it was cheap. Yeah, it was. And the fact that like it's. It looks really good and, and I'm not Adam's Huge on the tops Now. I've just had the worst luck with it, but I said, screw it. I'm gonna give it one more go because Adam says so, and I'm gonna see how it does. But I know I'm excited. I. I like what I'm seeing so far. Cards look great. Obviously, we. We know the foil fractures how they look, so. But I just hope I don't see more one on one auto surface. It just makes me feel less and less enjoyable. So. Not that it would change what's in your box. You just want to have the surprise. I just want to have the LNA spray. So I don't ever. I don't want to look at the paper that comes in. I just want to open it and look, and I don't either. Oh, I'll tell that story here. Oh, yeah, I know you will. I'm sure. I'm sure it's a slide ready to go. So, no, it's not a slide, but I'll tell it at the end of this slide. But the, like, I think the Tops now doesn't offer these type of sets in wrestling very often. I think we got maybe one with Cena, but even then it was kind of weird. Like, this is the first time we've gotten like, one of, like the spring training sets that they've had for MLB or the World Series sets that they've had for mlb. They do. They're going to do it for football, they're going to do it for basketball. So, like, this is the first foray into that for wrestling. So I was really excited to see how it turns out. I think on card autographs for the active superstars are going to be redemptions likely, I would guess, but really, really cool looking design. I think it'll be cool. So I'm excited to get mine in. I. To Ryan's point, I, I do love when my, you know, we. We've talked about this on the podcast before. It's tied to a moment, right? So, like, if you have something that you feel about that moment, maybe that Tops now card speaks to you. For me, Becky lynch winning at. WrestleMania 42 was one of those moments. Awesome photo on the card. And for the first time ever, she had an autograph parallel. She's never had that before. So I went really hard and I, I actually went into AI and I asked AI based on traditional print runs and odds and everything like that, how many of these do I have to order to ensure I get one of the autographs? So it spit out a Formula. And I followed that formula pretty exclusively. And so I get the package in yesterday or packages and like we're talking overrun mailbox here because I ordered one big order and then like a number of smaller orders. And like, Ryan, I don't like to look at the sheet. I don't want to see what I get. I like to open the cards and, you know, sort through them and see. And if you've watched the people open them on YouTube, if you order a ton of them, they send it to you in like this big giant box. That is not what happened for me. So they had like, I had the small little slide cases that I was, you know, sorting through and I did see I hit two autographs. So I ordered a ton. I ordered about 10% of the print run. I think I've said that on the podcast before. I start like going through. I pull like a black, I pull an orange, I pulled a gold. All these other things. I saved the autographs. The end, I slide past the first autograph, slide it down, red autograph. I'm like, oh, thank God. I hit a good card. So now I'm expecting the other one's going to be the black one and we'll be good and I'll be set without having the foil fracture. Well, as it turns out, yeah, as it turns out, I start to slide the card down and I actually did hit the foil. Fractor one of one autograph, which was the first Becky lynch autograph, one of one I've ever pulled. I've only pulled one other. That's awesome, man. And it was just so awesome. It's such a good day to get two of the autographs plus all the hits. So the, the investment was worthwhile. But yeah, I love that photo. I love that card. I can't wait to get it in. I've already redeemed it, as you can expect. Congrats, man. It was deserved, that. Is that your first time ever pulling a one to one from a top? First time ever. I mean, hey, you deserve it because how many of those I know you buy and have bought over the years? Nobody deserved to pull one of those more than you. Especially like you said, our first autograph ever. That's awesome, man. Yeah, it was cool. PSA is shut down. Just to move on. PSA has shut down all of their value tiers coming in to this week. If you haven't heard this news, I question what rock you're living under, but this is a huge impact to the overall hobby. I'm, I don't Know how much of an impact that's going to be for wrestling cards. But they have millions of cards in backlog. Right? Call shutting down these things. Like I, I don't have any issue with psa, I don't grade cards. But given the circumstances, it seems like it's the right thing to do. I think they probably should have done it earlier. But you have a lot more investment in the way that you grade your collection. I know you just got back some grades on some really big cards that you submitted. Like for you, this is probably a little bit bigger of a deal than it is to me. But I think for the overall hobby, like the impact here is going to be stupid. Hugely significant both in the, the sports card space and more importantly in the TCG space where I think a lot of this impact is coming from. But curious, like when you heard this, like what was your initial reaction? My initial was well, now they're going to, you know, hopefully feed people to SGC and Beckett. Which collectors universe owns them as well is the first thing. You're right, it needed to be done. I think the biggest issue is the Pokemon, the, the overabundance. Also I've talked to several people and you know, having these gamestops take submissions, they aren't educating people on what to grade and what not to grade. So that people are just grading every. This is like Covid all over again when you create it. But back then it was like six to eight bucks to grade a car. Now it's in the mid, you know, high 20s. Shutting this bulk down was the right decision. You could still grade it on the higher brackets obviously. And again, I think at that point that's what PSA wants to do. I think they want to still be able to grade by charging more, but getting it out the door to you faster. It's going to have a riffle effect. It's going to affect people who rip product to grade tremendously. I was talking to several people this weekend, they're like, well, I'm gonna rip a case of Pokemon, but I'll have to go to SGC now or CGC or whoever. Oh, I wanna rip a bunch of Bowman, but I can't grade it. I want it's values with PSA because PSA gives the value that, that's, you know, when you think of PSA in the soda world, I always put it this way. Back in the day it was PSA was Coke, Beckett was Pepsi and RC Cole was SGC before, you know, a long time ago. Because PSA has been doing It a long time back in at one point was more dominant than psa. As crazy as. Yeah, especially the. Yeah, especially. Yeah massively so it's changed but it was the right decision and it did go on too much longer. It will affect what we do. I'm still going to grade. I'm just going to have to be more transparent when I want to grade. I'll still set aside a ton of vintage. Worst case I send vintage scc. But I'm okay with waiting for the bulk stuff till it comes back. I'm luckily have been sitting the past several months and was really on it the past two months getting stuff out the door. I just don't know if we'd be back in time for the national but it's going to affect a lot in our industry. But there's other avenues. There's other ways to grade your cards. There's other companies. It's all you as a collector, what you're wanting to do or a flipper. If you want to get your now money you're going to have to look at other revenues or you're going to pay 70, 80 bucks to grade a car a PSA. So time for people to make shifts in what they do as a collector and as a percent flips. Yeah. And I think like for wrestling cards grading hasn't caught on as much as it has in a lot of the other areas. Like it's slowly making progress. I think my, my PC is probably a good example. Like collectors like me who've been around for a very long time usually have made the, the jump into the grading arena. I just don't support kind of what that all represents. I just don't like what grading is all about. I don't like the third party opinions. I like. I don't, I even like even less the third party opinions of the third party opinions which is what NBA is like. I don't have any positive thing to say about that thought we keep my mouth shut. But like the, the overall sort of impact to wrestling cards I think is for those people that are coming from other sports trying to get into wrestling cards and use the same approach that they did in baseball and football and basketball. I think it's going to be a harder crossover now because you can't grade your cards as quickly. There's going to. Wrestling cards just aren't as valuable still as a lot of the other sports. So these higher grading tiers just don't have as much of a of a an impact as much as they would in like These other sports, like, so if I wanted to grade a box hit like before it was 25 bucks or whatever, now it's 80. There's not as many wrestling card box hits. There's more now than there have been, but there's just not as many of those that are going to gain that value, especially with the quality we've seen coming out of the packs recently on some of these things. Like, if you don't hit that 10 on a wrestling card, you are out that money, basically. And it's really that much harder in wrestling to gain the value at those higher service levels. So I think if you're a grading for wrestling, I think this is a huge impact to you. You're like me and you're not. Probably not as big of a deal. But you'll see how the prices will. Will affect things. People will be less willing to take those risks on cards knowing that there isn't a grade that can probably be back at a reasonable time frame within the next six to 12 months, if not longer. Yeah, it's. It's just, we're going to see how this plays out. I'm really curious what. I talked to one guy real quick who has actually been consistent the past year or two. Every week he's sending in batches to PSA every week, sometimes three, 400, 500 cards. And I was talking to him at the show. He was sending my show on Saturday. I said, well, you know, we all question, you know, we knew what you do. What is your plan now? He's like, basically he's like, he's going to buy and flip collections. I'm not even going to waste my time grading it. I'm not going to go to another avenue. I'm just going to flip it and it's going to be sold raw. If it's better, I'm going to have to look at it. But it's going to change so many things. But it could be a change for the good. We just won't know in time. I think there could be some big impact on whatnot as well, because people used to go and whatnot in those single shows and just buy raw cards and grade them and flip them. That was a really easy sort of way to, especially in wrestling where you could do this, buy a card, undervalued and whatnot, grade it for cheap 20, 25 bucks, and then flip it for 100, 150 bucks really easily. Because there's not a lot of pop in a lot of these cards. Like you're talking most Wrestling cards. Pop reports are 10, 20 cards at the most. Yeah. Like, and that's if it's a super traffic card. Right. Super liquid card. Some of the cards like they have pop reports of like two or three. So by getting those graded examples we mentioned last week, the garbage Pail kids, like that was a big avenue. So maybe some of these single screens on whatnot are going to have some impact. Maybe you start to see some of the flipping that's going on with buying stuff on ebay. You know, there could be ripple effects like you said that we were not seeing yet when this happened during COVID when they shut down everything in Covid again because they were just getting way too many cards and they didn't have enough employees. It was one of the triggers I think that probably hit that peak and started going down the other side. I'm hoping that that isn't the case here. So we'll see really quickly. Want to touch on a big poll? It's rare that we talk about a set delivering like 2022 Prism has delivered. But Card Vault by Tom Brady, they do breaks of wrestling a lot. We'll talk about some of their contributions here in a minute. But like they pulled the Rhea Ripley Black 1 of 1 Four years later in a mixer. And this is, this is a. Not even a question. It's a five figure card. Huge, huge card and it's been in a box. I think this is one of the last remaining big black 101s that we haven't seen because Liv Morgan was pulled by card alive. Yep, yep. Recently. This is now Rhea Ripley. We've seen Roman Reigns, we've seen Hulk Hogan, like all of those other things. Like this is a big card. Yeah. I mean I don't, I'm just trying to wrap my head around who could still be out there. But this was one that again, I hope Sam Steve is able to obtain it as he talked to the person. Do you know or is he. I, I, I think it's out of, I think this is going to be out of his. This is going to bring big money. I mean I hope it grades well. It does look a little O.C. left. Right. But not too bad. It's most of decent they are, trust me. I, we know. We know. So, so it's great to see it surface. I, I gotta think it was in the mix where it probably was what maybe a $15 spot or something like that. Oh my gosh. Wow. Congratulations to that person. And congratulations. Maybe, maybe it was. I don't know if they Were doing randoms or if they were, because I think their mixers. Maybe it was $100, maybe it was a buyer. They usually do a mixture of like a bunch of various products because you can see Topps chrome looks like logo for the background there. So I'm going to go with it. Had to be minimum 50 bucks up to 100. Yeah. Okay. Another breaker pulled the one of one pink autograph of Rhea Ripley and that was a $15. But this one was a little bit more expensive but still multiple times your return. So awesome though. I love to see it and yeah, that's, that's great. I want to talk quickly about some gem rate data. We were going to talk about this last week, but I didn't get a chance. The only reason I think gem rate's important is because it shows sort of the health of the wrestling card market by wrestler. So if you really want to see like who is making waves. I just wanted to call attention to some of this. Hulk Hogan still the most. And we're talking through 20, 26 year to date, still the most popular wrestler. No shock there. John Cena number two. We could. Last time we covered it, those were the same rankings. This is where it starts to get weird because you have Rhea Ripley number three. Then you have Roman Reigns number four. Both with about $262,000 year to date. Hulk Hogan's at about 650,000. The Rock is after Liv Morgan who is number five, then Alexa Bliss. Stone Cold was number three last time we covered this. Now he's number eight. Tiffany Stratton number nine. The Undertaker, number ten. Obafemi has climbed into the top 15. He is now number 14 with over a hundred thousand year to date sales on ebay. But I mean, things are going kind of sideways a little bit from where they were before. And a lot of wrestlers that weren't on this list before are. Are climbing quickly. Right. Dominic Mysterio makes an appearance at number 24. Like there's Sol Ruka at 15. Like, lot of really cool names in this top 25. This is the amount of cards and the values that are being sold for on ebay. Like, really cool to see some of the names on this list. Yeah, it's, it's great information here. It's funny, I see the Randy Orton. I'm like, well, half that was one card. So I'm like, I'm looking at the numbers here. I'm like, he wouldn't even be a top 25 in that car. Didn't surface. So. Yeah, no, it's it's interesting to see the shift. Yes. Liv Morgan is very shocking to me to see number five. There had to been some bigger cards also surface of her. But it does help that she's live in all these products as well. So yeah, I seeing her over the Rock. We know Rock brings big money. Interesting. It's very interesting to see the shift. Obviously the market trends based on what the wrestler's doing, the storyline, everything like that. But it's great data right here for us to see and I want to come back to this on a regular basis. I think this is just cool to be knowledgeable about. Yeah. Gemrate.com that you can sort I removed all the UFC guys and removed some of the guys from WWE that are like really old legends type of stuff. So it's not like, you know, these are people that are more relevant to wrestling cards as it is right now. I also want to talk about some sales quickly because you mentioned this card last time we were on it sold for $2,000 originally we thought it might have a chance to get relisted. It did in fact get relisted. It's based out of a Chinese seller, went from $2,000 to $9,355. This is the one of one oil fracture autograph from Tops Universe with the last time is now humongous jump. We're talking more than triple A, almost more than quadruple. So it was almost quintuple the original sale. Whoever didn't pay for that original card like must be kicking themselves right now because this did look like it went to a legit bidder. Wow. I'm more kicking myself because the first time I was planning to bid on it and forgot to bid and I don't know if I would have won it, but if I would have won I would have kept it. But wow, that that makes more sense to me now versus the 23 or whatever sale was. Yeah, this is one of the largest sales of Universe to date and it's just an awesome card. Great, great inscription. Can't can't argue with this price the rocks one of one super fracture from 2026 tops Chrome sold for $7,500. It was pulled and listed and sold within like a matter of a couple of hours. I think I've topps mentioned this sale a few other people. I I think this might be a one of the larger base Super Fracture sales that we've seen for the Rock, but I'm I can't remember what 2025 sold for, but it's a. It's a. From the run leading up to WrestleMania 41 and really cool looking card. But 7, 500 for the base. Super fracture. Big, big price. Absolutely. The. I also wanted to highlight one other rock sale here because this we. We talk about. I only talk about this when it enters new territory. It's labeled as $6,500 on my slide, but it's actually $5,400. The PSA Kaboom 10 Gem Mint 10 last time we covered this was just cracking the $4,000 mark. Now we've crossed $5,000. Almost $5,500 for a PSA 10. This is now the highest sale of this card period. So when it first came out, somebody bought a raw copy for like $5,000 right off the bat before we really knew anything about the set. And ever since then they've been creeping back up. We have now the PSA 10 has crossed that POP report is only 36 on this entire card, so not many PSA 10s. You have one. I have one. Yes. And every time you put this up, I get very excited because it's just been sitting in the box since the national last year. So keep going. Keep going. Yeah, keep on going. Another big sale from royalty as well. Caught me completely by surprise. This dual one of one Oscar and Kyrie sane booklet auto relic sold for $5,100. Wow. What like booklets from this product seem to be really selling for a crazy amount. We saw the Stephanie Vacair sell for 10 grand last week. This one at 50 $100. Both of these wrestlers are probably on. Are going to be out of WWE or at least off TV for a long time. Maybe. Oscar comes back more recently because she said it's just a personal issue that she's taking some time off. So. But humongous sale. Probably their last card together. I was thinking that in my head was possibly this could be the last kind of dual autograph card together. That's not a sticker. And we see the inscription here from Kari, which is just awesome. Yeah. These booklets continue to bring big money sale shocks. But again, it's probably being sold overseas, which their. Their market's big out there. Yeah, huge. Lots and lots of collectors out there. I want to just quickly talk about auctions again because I. Every time this happens I get a million messages and I think we need to keep covering it. Shill Bidding on ebay continues to be a problem for wrestling cards. It is really problematic. There were a couple of Becky lynch cards that got shilled to Hell, there were a number of things. It's, it's a target. If you have a one of one wrestling card that is that you want to sell, find the collector first. Like, I'm not just saying that because it benefits Ryan and I obviously as super collectors, but because it will save you all of this time and energy that you have to put into with dealing this stuff. I know ebay wants to fix this. They've instituted policies where you have to have payment on file. But it when you have cards that don't meet those thresholds or are outside the program, they are targeted by an individual or individuals who want to see these auctions end without a sale. And so make sure check your bids before you engage. So if you look at the bidding history and you see a bunch of zeros and a bunch of one feedback users, maybe that's a card that you're not going to engage with as much. But if you're selling, try to connect with somebody who knows what the situation are. Ryan and I both run platforms that we can assist you with. Ryan runs a card shop. I'm sure people come in all the time to talk to you about this kind of stuff. If you need help understanding how to sell your cards, people reach out to me on Instagram all the time. I'm always happy to help connect you with people, connect you with those collectors. This community is better at that than any other community. So I just wanted to mention that here, try and find somebody to do the private sale first or if you're going to put it on ebay, put it on with a high price and take some offers. Not too high, but high enough and you know, find a way to get the sale done without just leaving it to chance. I understand the consignors like MC Sports Cards and DC Sports and all these other people, like they have their own process that, that has made a ton of sense for a ton of different people. It might just not make sense for this one card that you're selling. Yeah, and the good thing is with those big insiders, they vet out a lot. So a lot of these guys get kicked to the side when you deal with the big consignment. It's most people that don't have all the things implemented because you could set restrictions on who and who can and cannot bid and all this stuff. So it's unfortunate. What, what card was this? Do you know? So the Rose gold, Becky lynch, one of one sold for $9,450. Because the, the guy who terrorizes the terrorists always Just puts in a massive thing. I didn't even bid on this card. I was just like, I know this is going to get chilled. So like, yeah, it's. It's so stupid. But it is what it is. Just so it comes. It's been going on for years and I don't know when it's going to stop. 300 plus auctions at this point. Wow. I want to talk a little bit about the national as well. So we had a couple of sponsors join our crew. We got to acknowledge our sponsors. Where's my finger? There we go. Yeah. I want to say a huge thank you to the Wax Culture and Card Vault by Tom Brady. Both of them have committed to being a sponsor for wrestling card takeover July 31 at the embassy Suites in Rosemont, Illinois. Let us know you're going to come. Email us. It's all free. It's all provided as a result of the amazing support we've gotten from our sponsors. So you just made the list. Beautiful. Let us know. I love it. Let us know that you're coming. We are going to respond as much as we can to everybody who's been sending. We are getting a ton of feedback on this event. Really positive. Can't tell you how excited I am, but welcome to the fold for the Wax Culture and Card Vault. Thank you, guys. They join MC Sports Cards. We were just talking about consigners sports card junctions Chad in in Pittsburgh and the great shop there. Card shop live breaking bless online card ladder mama breaks. We talk about Stephanie all the time. THC Sports Card Brian does a great job. BCW supplies. Can't thank these guys enough. We want to give them their flowers. Really, really good crew of sponsors here. Some of the biggest names in the hobby. I think that's. That's a testament to how much people want to see this event succeed. Yeah. You know, as em said thank you to our sponsors, we officially have our 10 sponsors that we were shooting for. So again it's. We're finalized. The sponsorships is shut off for this year. Again, this couldn't be possible without all of you, you know, obviously joining on and believing in what the. What we're trying to build here for the community. What started with this small idea has really shaped into something more incredible than we can all three of us, Brett, Adam and myself can imagine. So none of this would be possible with all you and we're excited for the next steps now that we can now focus. Now the real work begins. The drawing board and design the shirts, the giveaways, the Everything. It's all going to come together. We're 60, less than 60 days away from the national at this point. I mean, we're less than two months out. And this event, this night is going to be amazing. It's going to be like nothing other. And I can't wait. And again, thank you, all of you, for being a part of it and wanting to be a part of this. It means a lot to all of us. Yes, absolutely. All right, we're going to close it out with our title match topic today. And just kind of feeding in from what we were just talking about with the auctions here. We've seen and we saw the booklets sell. We were just talking about that. We've seen the Hulk Hogan sell. We've seen everything. We've seen massive volatility in the market around wwe one of ones and other rare and desirable cards. How much of that is because of a lack of comps are difficult to align to a real world value. Like how much of that volatility and that up and down sort of across things is, is aligned to that. Just lack of composure. Not as enough data out there to help people sell those cards at a price that I think makes sense. Well, it's not just that. It's not a lot of data, but there we're getting a lot of new products from Topps that's just never been happened before with royalty. We got Cosmic Universe. I mean there's just nothing to go off of past years outside of Topps Chrome. It's getting harder and harder and I think what we're seeing now is more people with money coming into the space. I've been seeing car athlete towns post more and more wrestling one on ones. Yep. Getting more people coming into here who want to buy some of these cards. So there's more sharks in the water, let's put it that way. That want to buy these and if you know who some of These bigger Wrestling 101 buyers are out there, your goal is to try to obtain them before one of them do. Because if they get it, chances are either it's not being sold or if it is being sold, you're paying 2 to 3x what you probably should have paid to begin with. And it's a matter of how much did you really want that card? Did you really have to have that card? So again, I think you have to sit back and ask yourself like, hey, this one isn't for me. This one is for me. If I want to go in and collect all these, it doesn't have to just be one of ones. But in general we're seeing a shift with those because there's no consistency. One could do 2000, one could do 7000. What's the difference between here and here? It's really confusing. But at the same token I think you have to put in consideration a lot of factors coming in. A lot of people coming into this hobby that have never been in it before who are now wanting to pour their money into this hobby because it is in other words, in my opinion, and I think animal agree grossly undervalued when you compare it to other sports cards. So I think we see, we could see it already growing with our collections over the years that we bought. We remember what we paid for something and what we're paying now. It's like what, how did I get from here? But, but it, it doesn't make sense. But it does in the same token. So that's a little my thoughts behind it. What are yours? I think like the, the fact that it's so hard to value because there's like we mentioned earlier with the PSA news, like the pop reports on these cards are really small. So even when you have like a graded card, like there's not that history of comp data that you can pull up on card ladder. Like I think card ladder does a tremendous job of providing data for the hobby. They just, it just doesn't exist as much for wrestling because we're so new to the main stage. Right. And so like I think the other thing is like when you are trying to sell a one on one like there are, there's going to be competition that has never surfaced before because like you said like more people are coming in with the money. So instead of me being the only Becky lynch collector, you being the only Randy Orton collector, all of a sudden now there's two to three people including those that may not actually want to collect the car. Maybe they want to hold it and flip it which is a part of things like that's the way sports car they are Persona. Yeah. So they're, they're one of the Personas in this hobby that exists and help to feed the ecosystem. So I'm not badmouthing those people. It's part of the, the overall sort of environment we live in. And now that wrestling cards are growing, like I think a lack of this comp data will necessarily be the case forever. But I think you know when you start to say like oh, Topps is now coming in for the first time in four years and like the, the chrome comps that we're seeing this year are not comparable as much to last year because things have gotten so crazy and out of hand. Like with the way that the hobby has grown over the last few years, like, we're trying to find comparisons, it just doesn't exist. So it makes it even more difficult and more confusing. As you were saying, I think also a lot of these cars are becoming unique. Right. Like the WrestleMania patch autographs. First time we've ever seen those. The inscriptions. Some of them. First time we've ever seen those. So when it's a first or when something that is unique makes it even more difficult to value it, like hard, maybe out of 10. But it has this crazy inscription on it. Can't really compare that against another out of ten autograph. Like, what do you do? Like, there's just. And that's where I think the inexperience of some of the wrestling collectors really shows through on that side. I saw Charlotte Flair Super Factor autograph with a ton of inscriptions sell for, like, nothing. Yeah. Because the guy probably just saw that was a steal. Whoever got that? I just, at the other end, I'm like, oh, my gosh. I would have bought that without even thinking. Yeah. So I think, like, overall, like, we have a lot to grow in this space. And with all the manipulation we're seeing in some of the auctions from the show bidders, like, there's just a lot of things here that are doing. And now with PSA on a shutdown, it really complicates things even further. So I, I, I think we're gonna, this is gonna, I think this will get harder before it gets easier. But I think as card ladder establishes more data, more data providers get in the mix as more wrestling collectors become educated. Hopefully that change. Yep. Good point, man. Well, valid point of the thing to bring up too. So next week. So we're going to end it here next week. How are we ending it here? This is too much timeline. I said we're out of tight. This is a record breaking show. Yeah. I made sure, like, we had to have enough to get us to that hour long mark. And then I got to, I got to head to the airport. So last time we did this, it was a complete and utter disaster. This time I think it was much better. So it went smooth. Good job. Yeah. Next week, Ryan's on vacation, so Brett's going to be tagging in. Can't wait to have Brett back on the show. Him and I will hold it down for Ryan while He's out with his family. Well deserved. Thank you. We'll talk more about Cosmic because then by then it'll be very much apparent what the set's all about and we'll cover more of some of the sales and stuff and have a little bit more of an in depth conversation with Brett on some of the things that he's been working on and hopefully once you get back then we can really get into sort of national mode and sort of like highlighting some of the things that we're going to be seeing there. We'll have a probably a very clear picture of what Night of Champions looks like in SummerSlam. So can't wait for that. Enjoy your vacation, my friend. Hopefully. Appreciate it, man. Thank you. One last thing. I'm wearing my MN sports card shirt. This is my good buddies Josh Brennan owned the shop I sell in Minnesota. You bet. Yeah. So in two weeks, the June 20, I will be up in Monticello with my family going to their big grand opening. They're bringing in some Vikings players. He's announcing that this week. By the way, Adam free, absolutely free. Free food, catering. Check it out. I want to give a shout. They built a brand new shop right off the highway by like a Target. It's beautiful. I'd never seen the inside of it. I've never been to this one. I've driven by it. It's nice. It looks awesome from everything I've seen. So I'm excited. So hopefully Adam and I can get together while I'm up there. I'll be up there for the weekend. So if you're in the area, if you're going to be in the area, if you want to go in the area, feel free to reach out to me on Instagram or follow them in sports cards. Love to get to chat with you in person. If you're going to go up there be I'm there for the whole day Saturday hanging out. Just it's going to be a day from like 10am to 11pm Check it out. But I, I, I wanted to give a shout out unplug because I finally booked her stuff this week and I'm like we're officially going. It's happening so can't wait to see it. I get to see Adam so that's good. Awesome. All right guys. With that we will see you next week. Big gulps. See you later.
