Copilot shows Hank where the money's going and which little extras make the dollar slice work. Now Hanks has a line out the door. Hank makes the pizza, co pilot handles the spreadsheets. Learn more@m365copilot.com Work. What's up everybody? It's Gary Vee and this is the Sports Card Strategy Show. Because you know this. There is no off season. No off season when you get into this game. The reason why you pay someone like Paul Hickey to get your sports card strategy together is because when you're starting out, you need perspective, you need wisdom, you need insights. And so he's been around the track enough times where he can actually coach you up and guide you. Doesn't mean he's going to take you to the promised land tomorrow. But you now have a coach by your side that can advise and kind of even create these pathways where you can get the education yourself. And that's a lot better than thugging it out on your own. The kids better buy my rookie card now. Cause after this year, the price ain't coming down. Welcome in, everybody. I'm your host, Paul Hickey. It's time to sit back, listen, learn, and earn with me on the Sports Card Strategy show. I am so freaking excited for this episode. You guys have no idea. We've had all these guests over the last several weeks and now it's just you and I. Lefty McKee will be back next week. He's been out of the country. It's been a crazy summer schedule. So I want to give a quick shout out and thank you to all of our recent guest co hosts that we've had on the sports Card strategy show. But on today's episode, we are going to talk about learning from your mistakes. I've got 15 mistakes that I'm going to save you all from and we're going to talk about how to win during this PSA value shutdown. So welcome in nooffseason.com family. I am so happy to have you with me to help you make money flipping sports cards on this episode. And let's get into it. So let's get into one of the top 15 and these are in no particular order, one of the top 15 sports card mistakes. Okay. Now this comes from my experience, my experience re entering the hobby back in 20202021 after like a 2030 year hiatus. You know, like many of you I collected as a kid, I fell out of the hobby but still loved sports. Worked in the NBA, worked in fantasy football and re entered the hobby at the end of 2020 and early 2021, created the Sports Card Strategy show and revamped no offseason.com from what used to be a fantasy football informational site into the best place with the best tools and information to help you make money flipping sports cards. And in that journey, in the journey of, you know, I would say 2020 through 2023, they were mistake ridden. And you know, so a lot of experiences that have shaped my advice to all of you and my content and our tools@nooffseason.com which we continue to improve. Also I want to add that, you know, I keep getting better at as a sports card flipper. You know, I left my full time job. Well, I was running a web design and digital marketing business as well as doing web development contract work and also sports card content creation contract work for Sports Card Investor and Market movers and Sports Illustrated. I was, I was writing articles for them and creating content for them on a contract basis. You know, all the way through 2023. Heading into 2024, I made the decision, look, I'm going to do this full time. I'm going to do, you know, my only source of income is going to be sports card flipping and running the business@nooffseason.com doing the sports card strategy show. And since I have put all of my eggs in that basket, it has gone way better than I ever could have imagined. Thanks to all of you on the on the content creat no offseason.com side and then of course I just keep getting better as a sports card flipper like I really do. And so I want to continue to share that with all of you. So let's get into the mistakes. All right. Number one, ripping wax and ripping packs. I'M gonna go, I'm gonna say what a lot of people won't say. And this might be an unpopular take, but I think it's an excuse that some of you say you like to do this with your kids. I think what you need to do is you need to teach your kids to buy singles, damn it. Teach your kids some financial responsibility and patience over instant thrills. Okay? Like, I get that it reminds you of when you were a little kid. I get that you get that, that euphoria or that, that adrenaline, that feeling of like, well, I'm going to get a big, you know, maybe we'll see what we can pull. We'll see what we can chase. Stop it. The number one sports card mistake is ripping wax, ripping packs. It's disguised. Gambling is what it is. You're. You're unlikely to get anything. Teach your kids some financial responsibility. Teach them to buy the right card for the right player at the right time on ebay or at a card show. You know, peer to peer is fine, but what ends up happening is you pull a bunch of garbage. You don't know what to do with that. And then you also feel obligated to hold the 1 to 2 slightly above average cards that you and your kids get from packs. Now, I mean, look, if you're building a personal collection, that's different, and I'm going to get to that in a second. But number one mistake, ripping wax, ripping packs. Number two, and again, this is in no particular order, buying into breaks. All right, don't even get me started. This is gambling. This is pissing your money away. We have breakers that are out there doing shady shit. We have breakers that are also giving lines of credit to people who have gambling problems. And so they're losing tons of money. My first experience buying into a break, which I'll talk a little bit later on in this episode about, with our friend George from Slab Dynasty dot com. We're going to bring him in later in the episode. My first experience buying into a break was back in, like 2021, and I didn't get a card. I didn't get a single card. It was just like, you know, I threw away $50 and, you know, never wanted to buy into a break ever again. So what ends up happening, right, is people go to social media and they see this curated content and they get fomo. Of course, social media, like we talked about last week with Jeremy Lee, he made a good point. He's like, of course people aren going to show you what actually happens on social media, they're going to show you what the best possible outcome could be for you. And there is a less than, you know, one tenth of a percent chance that that's actually going to happen to you. So getting FOMO from social media and not realizing that everything there is only, you know, curated and it only happens every once in a while, that's a huge problem. So if you're sick and tired of getting slaughtered, ripping wax and buying into break and you want to actually profit flipping sports cards. JOAN no. Join nooffseason.com for it's less than $1 a day everybody, and you can make up to 130% ROI using our tools@nooffseason.com so you know, I want you doing that. So do that. Make between 30 and 130% net profit ROI. Buying the right card for the right player at the right time using our tools@nooffseason.com consistently flip singles using our tools and advice, nooffseason.com helps you make real profits flipping sports cards with insider data, proven strategies and exclusive access to undervalued cards before the rest of the market catches on. Join Nooffseason.com now before there are no more spots available. Let me say it again, join nooffseason.com now and go premium before there are no more premium spots available. And trust me, making up to 130% consistently on every single card play that you make is way more fun than the adrenaline that you get from maybe getting something in a break or maybe ripping some packs and teach that to your kids. You know what I mean? Like you can still enjoy the hobby with your kids without having it be ripping wax and or buying into breaks. All right, so the next mistake, mistake number three, not knowing your numbers. All right, I'm using the phrase that our friend George is going to use later on when we bring him into this episode. And I'm going to, you know, he's going to talk about it and I'm going to elaborate on it right now. Not knowing your numbers. These include not knowing the comps of cards that you're potentially about to look at buying, not knowing the gem rates of cards that you're potentially looking at grading. And this is our sports card rankings incorporates data from gemrate.com we'll talk about our sports card rankings in a second. Another number related aspect that you need to know is what you're into each of your cards for. Like people don't do a good enough job understanding what they've paid for each of their cards, because that is a critical factor in determining what to do with each card and when to possibly look at selling their cards. It's one critical factor. Another thing that you, you know, mistake you want to avoid in terms of not knowing your numbers is understanding how fees work. So, for example, sales tax, shipping, ebay, marketplace fees. Not only paying for cards that, you know, when I say shipping, not only paying for cards that are shipped to you, but also paying to ship your cards. If it's an expensive card, over a hundred dollars, you're going to want to look at maybe getting some additional insurance for that card when you sell it and ship it. So back to ebay marketplace fees, which I said a second ago, I don't want to gloss over that. But a big topic that I don't think is talked about enough is that people will say, like, well, ebay takes up, takes out too much of my money and fees, blah, blah, blah, and all this crap. I totally disagree with that because there's a couple different reasons. Yes, ebay will take, you know, 12 to 15% out to pay itself, but what ebay is doing is providing a huge service that no other platform is even coming close to providing. It's providing you tens of millions and sometimes hundreds of millions of active users that are interested potentially in the item that you have listed. You're not going to get any. Anything close to that on any other platform or to peer to peer or card show or anything like that in the hobby. So for them to take out their 12 to 15%, not only is it fair, but it's also equal to what you would sell the card for in many other scenarios. So a lot of you are trying to, quote, unquote, save money by not using ebay. Well, that's a huge mistake, because what ends up happening is you go to a card show and you say, well, this card is comps for $100 on eBay. And what does that person want to buy the card from you for? They want to buy it. They want to offer you, like, 75% of comps. Well, news flash, it doesn't take a math genius to understand that that's actually 10% less than you would get from that card for that card if you sold it on ebay. Now, if they, if you negotiate them up to 85% of comps, now, you're equal to what you would have sold it for on ebay. And, you know, just, just realize what's happening there. All right, so not understanding that ebay literally has tens of millions more eyeballs on their listings than other platforms and not understanding the fact that when people are trying to negotiate for your card that they're really trying to buy it for a certain percentage of comps. All right, another mistake. This is mistake. And by the way, if you're counting, for those of you keeping score at home, I said 15 mistakes, but there's actually like four or five different sub mistakes after each mistake. So this might be the top 50 sports card mistakes. But anyway, I'm very detail oriented. So let's get into mistake number four, which is don't try to outsmart the market. Okay. And I'm going to give you some specific examples. And Lefty and I have talked a lot about this. We have have gotten really good over the last few years at understanding the market is like the ocean and we're trying to surf the waves of the market. We're not trying to create our own waves. And I think a lot of you are trying to basically treat the, the ocean like a wave pool and you're trying to manipulate, you know, Mother Nature, if you will, and that's just not ever going to work. So don't make moves based on assumptions or blanket statements. All right? For example, a lot of premium members@nooffseason.com and the sports card strategy show listeners recently have been asking questions about the PSA value shutdown, possibly making current PSA slabs more valuable, thus wanting to buy already graded cards. The reality is that the shutdown is because of a massive backlog that will only increase supply of PSA slabs that will hit the market. So this is like these kinds of assumptions and sort of trying to maybe outsmart the market, if you will, are huge mistakes. We've been through a shutdown like this before that actually was worse than this shutdown back in 2021 and 20. And I say worse because you weren't able to submit even at the regular, the regular service level at $80, ish, 80 to $85. That's cheaper than what you could submit at back in 2021, 2022, when they shut it down. You had to pay I think at least 100 or 150 per card back then to get anything through. But anyway, so we've been through this before and it's certainly what ends up happening. We know this is that the, the, the ten plus million cards that are in the backlog, like they're gonna hit the market and then people and then they're going to reopen, you know, value services and everything like that at some point. So it doesn't mean less PSA graded cards are going to be available on the market. It means way more than ever before. And I think we need to look at this as the opposite information. We don't need to look at this as a lack of a certain product hitting the market. We need to look at it as a sign of growth in the hobby. This data informs me that the hobby is in huge demand. We've analyzed data in previous episodes of the Sports Card Strategy show where we've shown cards that that are now surpassing their all time high, which was back in February of 2022. And people back then thought, okay, the bubble burst and these cards will never come close to these prices again. Well, they're like this episode is brought to you by Google Chrome. You think you know a browser, but Gemini and Chrome, that's new. It can help you with practically anything on the web like restoring a vintage motorcycle from a 50 page restoration block. Or finally break down that long article you've had open for weeks. Gemini and Chrome is here for it, ready to make anything online make sense. There's no place like Chrome. Check responses set up required compatibility and availability various 18 plus and we're live from the living room as Doug eyes up the match. Say spread. He's reaching for the buffalo wing. Perfect. Hang on, what's this? Oh, he's gone for a can of Pepsi too. Incredible. What a finish. Sensational combination. Look at the delight on his face. There's no doubt about it. It just tastes better. Match days deserve Pepsi. Food deserves Pepsi. Grab a pack of Pepsi. Zero sugar for today's match. It's poetry in motion getting back up to those prices. And the reason why is because there are more and more legitimate hobbyists that have joined the hobby. And we've seen those signals through data and experiences. And this PSA recent value shutdown is another example of the growth of the hobby. Another a couple other examples of like trying to outsmart the market. I think is when people try to prospect on like soccer cards. They try to prospect on tennis, prospect on F1, even, even prospecting on like college sports or WNBA. Those kinds of things. You know, you've probably heard if you've listened to the sports card strategy show, you've probably heard me maybe answer some questions about things that I wouldn't do related to players like Cameron Brink or Sophie Cunningham or even Paige Beckers. You've probably heard me answer questions on like things that I may not do related to players like Pedri or I mean, you know, I'VE talked about Lamine Yamal. There are a lot of Lamina Mall plays. He's a good example. But there are, you know, up and coming soccer prospects that aren't as well known as him, for example, that I've told people to just not even think about buying and totally fade F1 drivers that are hot right now. And so the reason why I bring up those four sports in particular is because they have a significantly smaller market size and they have a significantly, they have significantly less demand within the overall sports card hobby. And so when you're going niche, don't go even more niche. If you're going to go into any of those sports, buy the top guys, buy the Messi's, the Mbappe is maybe the Lamina Malls, buy the Carlos Alcarazes by the Oscar Piastri's by the Caitlin Clarks. Don't go deeper than that because then you're going, what you're trying to do is outsmart the market. You're trying to look at something and go, well, I think because this one thing is happening, I can go one step further into it. And I'm going to give you a couple examples. One from my own personal bag of mistakes. There's this guy named Caden Clark. I have no idea if Kaden Clark even plays the sport of soccer anymore, but back in 2022, I was sort of putting together this little like, format for the, for the ideal type of soccer prospect, right? And Lefty and I were talking about, okay, well, it's got to be a goal scorer. It's got to be somebody whose cards are, we're looking for like a penny stock type prospect. It's got, but they got to have car, like a card brand that people understand in the hobby. Um, and it'd be ideal if they were an American because if, if the, if Team USA were to ever get like a superstar, you know, other than Christian Pulisic, if the USA were ever to get like a real superstar who could be one of the best players in the world, you know, that would be amazing. And so what ended up happening was like I found this guy named Kaden Clark who had Topps Chrome, MLS rookie autos, and I just bought a ton of them for no other reason than I was just trying to outsmart the market. I wanted to be right about this random soccer player named Caden Clark and I talked about him on the Sports Card Strategy show and talk about one of my biggest L's of all time. Not from a monetary standpoint necessarily, but it all adds up. You know, it all adds up. And so that's just one example. Another example of like, you know, and what I should have done was I should have bought, I should have put all the money into Messi, right? Like, it just, it made no sense for me to try to go seven degrees away from Messi and go to with a guy like Kaden Clark. And that's what I'm, that's why I'm bringing this to you guys in this episode. Another good example is like back in that era of like 2021 and 2022, a lot of times people would look at, okay, well, Michael Jordan cards are doing very well. So then what would ended up happening is like people would buy Kevin Garnett cards, Allen Iverson cards like the superstars, several tiers below Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. So like, you know, staying with when, when we all acknowledge that the goat conversation includes maybe three people, stick to those three people. Don't go, oh, well, I also like Paul Pierce or, you know, whoever like it. It's fine if you want to personally collect those players and then I'm going to get to that in a second. But don't try to outsmart the market by thinking, well, because Kobe Bryant cards do well. I now also think that Dwyane Wade cards are going to do well. You know, that kind of thing. So let's take a quick break so I can tell you what no offseason.com members are saying. Ch r says. Thank you so much, Paul. I was struggling in this hobby before I found the sports card strategy show last summer. I got sucked into a rabbit hole and was led there by a snake oil salesman. That shall remain nameless, but one that we see on our reels and feeds constantly. Happy to be a Nooffseason.com member and so grateful for the service that you provide. Now I have created a sizable monthly return thanks to you and the tools@nooffseason.com so thankful. Chad R. So there you go. Join no offseason.com thanks, Chad. Mistake number five, giving up on grading. Okay. Top grading mistakes and how to learn from them include the fact that, you know, obviously not all cards are created equal. Cards have very different centering, they have very different corners, they have very different edges and surface. And those are the four main aspects of grading. So if you are able to dig into those four main aspects and understand that just because a card is pack fresh or just because a card maybe from the vintage era was secured in a, what's it called? Screw down case. You know, understanding that, you know, these cards have been stored differently, these cards have been handled differently. And what that means is, and even if they were handled perfectly, maybe they're not centered properly, maybe there was a print defect on it. So you don't want to make one grading submission and then be so disappointed with your grades and then never grade your cards again. The reality is that one of the top maze of one of the top ways of making money flipping sports cards is by grading. But grading is a numbers game. And that's why our sports card rankings@nooffseason.com are based around the fact that you would buy multiples of a card for the target cost. You would grade those multiples and then within those multiples that you graded, you would get at least one of the grades that you need to provide you a profit overall within that one particular card. So giving up on grading is a huge mistake. And the best way to. We're going to talk about grading here for a minute. The best way to try and understand what a card would grade before buying it online. I think that's, that's actually, I'm going to throw that in as, as another mistake. Too many people and this is one that only I talk about. I don't think I've ever heard another content creator talk about this or even even think about mentioning it. And I've talked to a lot of people in the hobby. I don't consume hobby content, so I could be wrong, but I talk to a lot of people in the hobby and I've never even heard anyone else talk about this. But I have talked about this. I've talked about it on the Premium pod. I've talked about it on the sports Card strategy show. I'm going to say it again. One of the top sports card mistakes is actually buying a card and then getting it and then deciding not to grade it instead of doing all of the pre grading before you buy the card. And@nooffseason.com we have so many different ways to help you do that that you can't find anywhere else on the web. There are so many tutorial videos behind the paid wall@no offseason.com that help you buy a gradable sports card online and fade the non gradable ones. But the biggest tool that we've implemented and it's, it's within the last two years we've, we've built this tool and launched it and it's highly successful@noallseason.com it's called our card analyzer and predictor tool. I haven't talked about it enough on the sports card strategy show, but it allows you to upload photos of your card or just simply paste a link in from ebay listing. And then it allows you to use our centering tool to understand how well that card might be centered. Then it doesn't stop there. You get a recommendation from the tool in your personalized dashboard@nooffseason.com to tell you what we think that grade would likely be and whether or not you should grade it. And not even, not only that, but like different grading companies grade cards differently and look for different things. So it will take all of that into account and let you know a recommendation based on all the factors of the card. So it's an, it's an amazing tool. So don't give up on grading. Use our card analyzer and predictor tool@noallseason.com Another one is not pivoting properly. And so this is part of the grading discussion. As you all know, the grading landscape is very different now than it was a month ago. PSA has this 10 million plus card backlog which has resulted in them essentially shutting down the value, all the value service levels. So now we're in a situation where if you want to grade with PSA, you have to pay at least $80 per card. So what we've done is, you know, first of all, we always talked about the best types of cards to grade at PSA are the ones that are $500 or more in the, in the first place for a lot of reasons. The major reason is that the math typically works out where you have a lot of grace with the PSA 9. If you, if you end up grading a card that's like under $250, you don't have a lot of grace with the PSA 9. The PSA 9 is not going to sell for near what the PSA 10 sells for. And it's, and it's, and it's actually going to sell for less than the raw. And that's the critical part. Well, a lot of times cards that are over $500 are popular enough to where by the time you get them back from PSA, the 9 might even outsell the raw. And especially with our sports card rankings, the way that we curate the cards in the sports card rankings@nooffseason.com they pretty much all fit that criteria. So that's first and foremost. So really, this, this pivot isn't that hard for us to, for us to understand and work with. But the way that we've executed it@nooffseason.com for premium members is we've split up our sports card rankings. We have PSA Standard rankings Now which incorporate the 8580 to 85 grading cost. But then we also have a BGS and SGC Raw to Grade tab on our sports card rankings as well, which would be sort of replacing what used to be there in the PSA value. So just because PSA value is paused doesn't mean that there aren't still all the same Raw to grade plays. We've always adjusting. So big time mistake is to not adjust. It's to not pivot. And remember that Nooffseason.com is the only place on the planet with sports card rankings updated every week, sorted by the ROI percentage you're likely to make in the future. Nooffseason.com gives you the data, tools and insider insights to flip sports cards for profit faster and smarter. Join Nooffseason.com now before no more spots are available. I'm still winning huge with Raw to Grade plays and you guys can too. Just made a lot of money on Shohei Ohtani 2018 tops. Now moment of the week. Raw to grade at PSA got a 10, $229 net profit on that play. Put in 40. Shohei Otani 2018 tops Gallery Raw to grade at PSA got A 10 put in $78 total net profit 251 Shohei Ohtani 2018 tops Gallery SGC 95 Kraken grade it got a PSA 9, made $44 net profit Shohei Ohtani 2018 tops Heritage Raw to grade at PSA it got an 8. I still made $48 net profit. That's what I was just talking about a minute ago. When you buy and grade the right cards, you don't necessarily need a 10 and that's what our sports card rankings help you do. This one did get a 10 though. That same card made $189 net profit. Another one, same thing made $210 net profit. So you when you keep repeating the same play over and over again, you win, you win, you win, you win. Look, I got a 7 and I still made $2. I got another 7 and I still made $2. I got a 3 and only lost $11. I got a 44 and made $3. Then I got another 10 and made $210. Another of the same card got an 8 and made $14, got a 9 and made $38 so like again, you heard me talk about a minute ago greeting the same card multiple times in the same submission. Great strategy. Did that with split up into two different submissions with the Shohei Ohtani cards and big time results there. Even, even getting really low PSA grades. I want to talk about pairing a grading win with a hype rise or performance spike. So when you buy the right players, like I talked a minute ago about like only buying LeBron, Kobe and Jordan for example, when you do that, you're putting yourself in a position where you can do what I just did with Ohtani and now obviously it would be with LeBron and not necessarily Kobe or Jordan who are retired and passed away respectively. But like with LeBron with Shohei Ohtani with with a with an active goat like Patrick Mahomes when you pair a grading win with a performance with a hyperize or a performance spike. So a hype rise would be like the beginning of the football season. Let's just use Jaden Daniels and Patrick Mahomes as an example. If you were to go buy a Jaden Daniels kaboom or a Caleb Williams kaboom or a Patrick Mahomes rated rookie 2017 optic and you were to grade those cards with a PSA regular submission, you would still get those cards back before the NFL season starts. Now, regardless of the grade that it gets, you're putting yourself in a position where if it gets a high grade, you have one new message translating. Disney and Pixar's Hoppers is now available on Disney. You could say that again. Critics are calling it Pixar's funniest movie ever and a wildly entertaining ride. Blizzard potato. It's certified fresh and verified hot. Now we party. This is incredible. Wow. I am clearing the rest of the day. Disney and Pixar's Hoppers now available on Disney. Rated pg. You thought this was your Run Club era. Turns out it was more of a thinking about Run Club era. The good news? Someone's marathon training is about to start. Sell your workout gear on Depop. Just snap a few photos and we'll take care of the rest. They get their race day fit and you get a payout for trying. Someone on Depop wants what you've got. Start selling now. Depop, where taste recognizes taste. Now you've already hit the multiplier that you need to make money. If it doesn't hit the high grade, you're still getting the card back. So you're hedging it. You're still getting it back at a time where it's where you're going to have the most interest in the NFL in football cards. So the prices are going to rise. Maybe not by a ton, but they're going to be rising. If you, if both things happen where you get the grade that you want and the hype hype is rising. The price in late August, now you're making more money. Now if one of those guys has a big performance in week one, week two, week three, now you're even making more money. Another example that I always give too is that I did that with Paul Skeen's tool Bowman Chrome First Prospect Autos. I I graded two of them a couple years ago when he made his MLB debut. I got them back right before he was called up. I held them until he was starting in the All Star Game that year and I sold them in auctions when he like leading into that All Star Game start. And I had like the two highest sales comps. So I paired together the Raw to grade with the Hyperize and the performance spike and and made massive profits on that. Obviously continuing to repeat that is what I'm trying to do. For more top plays that I'm making, definitely go premium@nooffseason.com I talk about them all the time in the Premium podcast. If you like the content on this show and want more, go premium@nooffseason.com now to get unlimited advice answered on our Premium podcast every week for premium members. Just a little teaser. The top plays I'm making have to do with cracking PSA nines and submitting them to BGS in hopes of BGS9 fives becoming very successful at that. Join Nooffseason.com now before there are no more spots available. That would be another huge hobby mistake. But hobby mistake number seven is buying too many players. Use our sports card rankings and my athletes feature@nooffseason.com Hobby mistake number eight not knowing the reason why you're buying a card, okay, if it's for PC or personal collection purposes, separate it from your flipping portfolio and know why you have it. I see a lot of people. One of the benefits of my job is that I get to kind of see everyone's cards in a way. And there's a lot of people. I see the card and I'm like, why would that person ever have that card like that? That is, that is not a card that would ever go up in value, like ever for any reason. And so I think there has to be a reason why that person has that card. And, and then I calm myself down and I'm like, it's okay if the reason why the person has the card is for some kind of sentimental value or personal collection or maybe artwork that they like. They like to look at it and it makes them feel good. All that stuff is great. But separate that from your sports card flipping portfolio. Like, don't even put it in your inventory tracker@nooffseason.com don't even. It's different, right? Or like, for example, you know, Lefty we've talked about on the show, like, he's bought cards for his daughter. His daughter is still under a year old and so he's already buying her cards. And those are obviously long term holds. And I would guess that he just, he doesn't have them in his inventory tracker where he's looking to flip them, flip out of them in the next like, you know, two years or anything like that. So if it is for flipping purposes, this is key. Know the reason why you're buying a card. So the biggest, one of the biggest mistakes is not knowing the reason why you're buying a card. If it's for flipping purposes, don't buy it without a selling marker in mind. I just talked about a couple different examples of selling markers. Another mistake is not buying an ebay auction. So we'll, we'll talk with George from Slab Dynasty in a minute. And I don't want you to get it confused. There are other places to buy cards. But again, you need to know the reason why you're buying the card. Buying at Slab Dynasty might be to scratch an itch. That's better than buying into breaks. But if you're buying to flip it and you're not buying in ebay auctions, that's a huge mistake. Our top auctions Ending soonest tool@nooffseason.com is updated all the time. It curates the top ebay listings for you to bid on. So not using that tool is silly. You don't have to, you don't have to even do any ebay searches. Just go to nooffseason.com and it's recommending you the top cards to buy. Not buying in ebay auctions is silly because it's, it's putting you in a position where you're not getting the fair market value for that card. Here's an example. I was big into Shador Sanders a few years ago and I made a lot of money on Shador. I really did. But I did make a few mistakes along the way. And that's what this, the Theme of this episode is, and the mistakes I made were buying in buy it now or best offer formats. Because when you do that, unless you're checking comps, which is part of the not knowing your numbers mistake, unless you're checking comps, you're putting yourself in a position where you don't know what the value of that card actually is. And when you don't know what the value of the card actually is, you're now creating the comp. You're now creating the, the value of that card, which is going to make it infinitely harder for that card to go up in value. So, like Shador Sanders gold out of 50 PSA 10 auto, or Shador Sanders just base auto, Bowman Chrome first PSA 10s, things like that. Buying them because I was trying to outsmart the market, which was another mistake. And, and specifically not buying them in ebay auctions was a mistake. If I would have bought it in an here's the difference. Because maybe some of you were thinking, well, you're still creating the comp. Yes, you're still creating the comp. But what you know is that there were at least X amount of other buyers who wanted that card for a similar price. When you buy in a buy it now or Best offer, you have no idea. You might be the only person on the planet that would pay anything even close to what you paid for that card. So then when you're looking to sell it there, I promise you, there is a 99.9% chance that you are going to lose money on that card. So not buying in ebay auctions is a huge mistake. Another one is buying into the hype. Don't buy into the hype. Why would you buy a Jalen Brunson card right now? His sales are up huge after winning the NBA championship. Why would you buy in? All these people that are, that are buying these Jalen Brunson cards are dumbasses. Global ebay users searched for Jalen brunson more than 90 times per minute on the day they clinched the NBA Finals. What do you think that that does to his card prices? Jacks him up. That's the time to sell Jalen Brunson. The highest value Jalen Brunson item sold on ebay to date was sold the same day. A 2018 Panini Impeccable Jalen Brunson rookie patch Auto gold out of 10 PSA 10 player worn. Okay, so I, I understand that this reflects some confidence in Jalen Brunson long term, but to me that's stupidity because now in order for that we've seen this multiple times. We've seen like with Patrick Mahomes for example. Guy wins a Super bowl doesn't necessarily jack his prices up to where they were before he won his previous Super Bowl. Which, which means the reason I say that is because when, if Jalen Brunson wins another NBA championship, his card prices will probably just go back to where they were now if that. So let me reword that for those of you who didn't follow. Right now is the peak of his prices. His prices will go down over the next year. Next year if he wins a back to back championship, they will probably just go back up to where they are now. And so what we're seeing with Wemby is kind of the same thing. Wemby, his prices are going down now. And so but he didn't win the championship and he is Wemby and not Jalen Brunson. And what I mean by that is like look at the sales data. Like he has a massively larger market and his prices have spiked for reasons that have nothing to do with winning the NBA Finals mvp. That's the kind of player you want to buy into and you want to buy into him at the time when his prices are down in the off season. So I'm not saying go buy Victor Webman Yama cards right now. But what I'm telling you is he's going to be on my radar over the next six months and then probably a guy that will go back up in value in October and then we'll go back up in value in May. So but I mean back to buying in to the hype, like you know, look at the other Knicks on June 11, the day after his tip in searches for OG and Anobi increased more than 16x compared to the day before the game. Don't buy into that. Like New York Knicks searches increased by more than 570% from after the Eastern Conference finals to before the conference finals. Jose Alvarado more than 530%. Josh Hart more than 260%. Cat more than 240%. Mitchell Robinson more than 240%. Mikal Bridges more than 190%. Don't get caught up by that. The takeaway is if you have those guys cards laying around, I mean look at it this way, like whichever teams make the NBA finals next year, go look and see if you have any other scrubs or I mean scrubs. Like I know Mikal Bridges isn't a scrub, but you know what I mean. Like starters that aren't the stars or bench players like Jose Alvarado, like that kind of thing. It would have been Nemhard the year before that. You know, like so look to see what you have. Don't go buy them. They're not, they're not anybody. Also moving along here into this would be hobby mistake number 13. According to my calculations, don't buy into new releases. Buying into new releases is a horrible mistake. It's the same concept that I talked about earlier with buying into breaks and, and ripping wax when you buy into new releases. And what I mean by that is like singles that have hit the market. So for example, what's coming out now is like Topps chrome Cosmic Football 2025. So that's going to be like Jackson Dart, Cam Ward, those guys. It's going to be tops Chrome Cosmic. I like Topps Chrome Cosmic. I think that maybe a year from now those guys singles could be potential raw to grade options in our sports card rankings from Topps Chrome Cosmic. But don't buy into them right now after people are ripping them and then listing them on ebay. So a, don't buy into the wax or the brakes. But B, what I'm saying in number 13 here is don't buy into the singles from new releases either because they are inflated in price because they are new and people want everything that's new. You shouldn't, because you're a listener of the sports card strategy show and you're listening to me and I'm helping you, you will overpay. So if you want these cards, wait. Which brings me to mistake number 14 that you should avoid. Don't buy rookie cards of any player before all of their rookie cards have hit the market. So a good example of this is like don't go buy Jackson Darts, tops Chrome Prism refractor, whatever. Because all of his rookie car haven't hit the market yet. Case in point, Topps Chrome Cosmic still coming out. Wait until it's literally like for now, all of Fernando Mendoza's and all of Ty Simpson's rookie cards start to hit the market. And darts are done hitting the market because that's when the prices settle. Don't buy into Cooper Flag right now because he still has rookie cards hitting the market. Cooper Flag. I've said this before, he's probably going to be one of the top raw to grade options in December of 2026 at no offseason.com but you'll have to check the sports card rankings for that. That's my prediction because that will be at a point when pretty much all of his rookie market has settled in terms of the raw singles Mistake number 15 not understanding how new release and grading grading. The new release works for supply and demand, which is kind of like the last one. It's, it's a supply and demand thing. When a new release comes out like this Topps Chrome Cosmic that's about to come out for Jackson Dart, it doesn't take nearly as many people to want the cards for the prices to go up, but. There's only only a few available because they just got opened up out of packs. Well, over time more and more will be available and that's why you need to not buy into rookie cards of players before they're all their rookie cards have hit the market. A good example actually Teapot just posted this on I believe it was the Market Movers channel and I saw it on Instagram. He was using the Drake May example from the rated rookie Don Russ base, not Drake May freaking Mac Jones. Mac Jones from 2021. Mac Jones's like Don Russ base sold for like almost $3,000 across three sales. So it wasn't a fluke in PSA 10 back in 2021 when those cards first came out. That's like a three dollar card right now in PSA 10. And yeah, part of it is because Mac Jones isn't any good. But the real part of it is because there was only like one of them on the market and all it took was for like five or six people to want that card and that's what forced the card to go up in value. So wait until there's tens of thousands of the card available and you can go get it for the fair market price. Okay, we're almost to the end of our mistakes and then we're going to bring in George from Slab Dynasty. Do not miss selling markers. Missing selling markers is a huge hobby mistake. We've talked about that being a mistake. But I'm going to bring in George Crespo from Slab Dynasty, which is, I would say an acceptable alternative to buying on ebay as long as your goal isn't necessarily to make money, but it's more of to scratch the itch that would have come from buying into breaks or ripping wax. This is a better alternative. I know every time that you come on, everyone's very excited to hear your insights. And so on today's show, we've been talking a lot about just kind of learning from our mistakes. And you know, man, Lefty and I talk all the time about how when we really first got together back like early 2021, and he started helping me with the sports card strategy show about a year after that. We made so many mistakes of, you know, just buying prospects, even, even like penny stock type baseball prospects. We made so many mistakes with like prospecting on soccer players that we thought would, you know, eventually like that back then it was leading into the 2022 World cup at the end of that year, we thought their cards would pop off. And I mean, here we are sitting in the middle of, of the, you know, the 2026 World cup here in North America. And you know, over the last, you know, seven or eight months I've been telling people, okay, proceed with caution on soccer cards because of what happened to me. So we've built a lot of the tools@nooffseason.com to help people fight against making a lot of the mistakes that are people are prone to making and that Lefty and I made early on. And so I know George from from having talked in depth with you that you have some really good, you know, lessons learned. And I thought it'd be a good time to bring you in and give you the opportunity to talk about, like, any, any words of caution that you have for our audience. Lesson based on lessons learned from you in the hobby. Yeah, I love how you worded that too. You said cool lessons learned instead of just saying, like, big failures or, you know, these monumental mistakes. But yeah, no, and once again, thanks for having me on. Love having, love being here. I know it's been a little while, but yeah, just to kind of hop into it, the big mistakes to, at the beginning are just not knowing your numbers, not knowing what your gym rates are, not knowing, you know, what a PSA 10 sells for compared to a PSA 9. And I know. And then also to a raw. What is a raw compared to a PSA 9? You know, I think it's funny. It's. I probably started listening right around like the 20, right after the World cup, right around then too. But when it comes down to it, at the end of the day, you got to make sure that you know what you're getting yourself into. And when I first got into this first, like with anything, I just went head over heels with it, whether it was ripping wax, buying raw cards. My first mistake with raw cards was I was seeing, okay, a PSA 10 for this card selling 200, all right, I can buy it for 120, spend $20 on grading, and I'm up and not really realize, okay, wow, this has a gym rate of 40, 30, 20% and me going, you know, ham, buying a hundred of those cards or going really into prospect hunting like C.J. stroud was like, my big mistake. You know, I went really in on him right before his, right after his rookie season ended and right during the height of it, thinking, like, okay, hey, he's just gonna, you know, keep crushing it. I didn't sell at the beginning of his sophomore season. I kept holding, saying, oh, once they go into the playoffs. So missing the selling markers, those are really like the big things that, to be honest, you spend 15 minutes listening to one of your podcasts, you know, you lay down those ground rules of saying, hey, watch out for the, or watch for the selling markers and look at your numbers, make sure you're not getting yourself into something that doesn't make sense. And especially with the way grading is nowadays, that resonates even more so in today's market. Those are great, low hanging fruit mistakes that, like everybody makes and, and I'm glad you brought all those up. You know, especially just kind of like, not knowing your numbers. You know, I. I forget that, you know, I've been to card shows a lot, and it's easy to look at a price and start negotiating with a dealer without even checking comps. And then it's like, you. So. So I know that a lot of dealers at card shows hate when people check comps. Many of them don't, though. I mean, men. I mean, I would say, like, a strong majority of dealers at card shows totally understand and encourage you and make you feel comfortable checking comps and things like that, but there are some people who don't like it or, you know, who kind of don't want to talk to you after you've checked comps on your phone and things like that. But, I mean, that is. That is definitely a trap that I fell into as well that you brought up, which is, like, just not knowing your numbers. And everybody needs to be okay with people double checking their numbers and making sure that they're not overpaying. I think my thing, because the reason I said cool mistakes or cool lessons learned is I don't want people to leave the hobby. Right? I don't. I don't. I really, you know, I think that there are people who've maybe been in the hobby for a long time that don't care if people leave the hobby or not. They're like, oh, well, I, you know, I beat all these people here, and I don't, you know, they don't like how it's grown and things like that. And that's fine. Teach their own. For me, I'm the opposite. I want people to enjoy the hobby. I don't care what their why is or why they want to enjoy the hobby. I just don't want them to get in, get ripped off, or feel like they got ripped off and then leave. And so I think all the. All the different things that you brought up are great things for people to look out for. And of course, I'm going to talk more in depth on this episode and on future episodes about all that stuff. Sometimes I get into so, so much of what I'm doing that I kind of forget to go back and go, okay, I need to talk about a lot of this other stuff that's in sports card school@nooffseason.com and, and, you know, mentioning to you off the air that we've had a lot of questions on the premium podcast recently that are great questions, and they're questions that we had three or four years ago. And I'm like, man, I need to talk about this more. So, speaking of people not leaving the hobby, I mean, there's a lot of new innovations everywhere in the world, but especially in the sports card hobby and collectibles. And, you know, slab dynasty.com is definitely an example of one of those new innovations. And even before you started Slab Dynasty, you've been an entrepreneur for a long time. Talk about entrepreneurism in the hobby and any lessons learned there, right? Because I think, like, not to put words in your mouth, but I think you've done a good job of taking some of the results of the mistakes that you made, maybe buying sports cards and then kind of flipping that and turning it into something that's been more profitable or successful for you in the hobby. So take it away, man. Yeah, well, first off, entrepreneurship in the hobby is live and well, to say the least. I think, like, every day there's a new company popping up, a new person that's posting on their social media. Just quit my job. Going full time into the hobby. It feels like it. It's 2020 again with influencers saying, you know, they quit their job and now going full time into influencing. But it's great. I mean, at the end of the day, you know, there's a lot of people also saying, like, hey, is the hobby over inflated now or we're about to go through a crash or a boom as well. And you know, I, I don't think this is like a. A bubble market. We're seeing a lot of there. Obviously there is a little inflation here and there on some people, but you're seeing a lot of the right cars going up for the right reasons, seasons on prices, which is nice. But when it comes to the entrepreneurship and with the amount of social media that's driving it, you know, to it to the hobby right now, and how many influencers and people like Kevin o' Leary and even hedge funds are now getting into this? I was just talking to an attorney the other day that said that he spoke to a hedge fund that just put in $100 million into a fund to go specifically after TCG and sports cards and sports memorabilia, which is wild. I mean, 20 years ago, that wouldn't have been a thing. Now, you know that that is a thing. People are meeting and talking about that. So that's great. And that's one of the reasons, like, where, you know, we're trying to shine as at Slab Dynasty, is what, what can we do? While so many other people are you know, trying to make a buck here. And that's why we've made sure to always focus on the consumer. You know, the hobbyists here, how can we make them stay in the hobby? Because, like you said, there's so many reasons to get someone out of the hobby, sadly, whether that's getting into breaks that are more like a casino or following. Following the lead of someone that is saying, hey, go buy a bunch of raw downtowns and go get them graded and, you know, go make money, when, if anyone knows, grading downtowns is really a crapshoot in itself and horrible gym rates on it. So it's all those things that, you know, you got to make sure that you're following the right lead and that you're going through the right motions on. And that's what we're trying to do here with Slab Dynasties. How can we be the right lead here for it? So not only by having lower, lower marketplace fees than the gen, you know, than most other marketplaces, but also working together with other marketplaces, we have features such as, like, our ebay integration feature, where now everyone knows who. Who has ever spent any time on slab Dynasty, that listing a card on slab Dynasty, a graded car, takes seconds compared to the minutes it takes on ebay. You can now list your cards on Slab Dynasty, hit the ebay integration, and all those cards will get listed on ebay, too. Like, at the end of the day here, we're here to help you make money, help you make your hobby experience a little bit better. So if that's saving a little bit of time on ebay listings, whether that's listing your cards on ebay or even pulling your listings from ebay and listing them on slab dynasty, because you already have, let's say, 100 graded cards listed on there, and you want to now convert them on Slab dynasty to take, you know, advantage of that, we got a feature of that, too, to make it a little bit easier. We're working with companies like Mascot as well, which is a sports card, you know, inventory system, to have them to be able to seamlessly plug into our platform, too. So we're working on ways we can make it easy for the hobbyists to be able to not only keep track of their stuff, be able to sell it in a. In a more streamlined way, but then also be able to keep more of their fees, more of their profits in their pocket. It then when it comes to, you know, the ripping the wax part, you know, we've talked about that, you know, until we've all been blue in the face. You know, retail wax sucks. At the end of the day, it's hard to make a buck off of that. But it's also fun ripping packs. You know, it's. Who's to say they don't ever. You know, every once in, almost everyone goes out and buys a lottery ticket every once in a while just to see what happens. Or whenever they hear, oh, it's at a billion dollars now, let's go buy, you know, a ticket to see if we can win it. Right? So there's always an itch that needs to be scratched sometimes, but we can scratch it a little bit better. And that's where, you know, our mystery packs come in. You know, we give a little bit better of payouts on it. We give 92% of fair market value. We give a decaying buyback offer. Where most sites like Triumph, which is definitely a loot box for sports cards, they give you an offer that's they claim a hundred percent, but that only lasts for the five minutes that you might be on their page, and then it drops to 80. Courtyard also drops down to 86, 85%. Arena Club, their. Their price only stays active, I think, for 24 hours. We have buyback offers that last for up to 30 days. So that way it gives you a lot, a lot longer opportunities to make the decisions you want, whether that's keeping it, selling it back, or even listing it on our platform more. But yeah, it's just things like that that we're trying to make sure that we're the forefront on. We do have live single auctions coming here soon as well, starting in September. So we're really excited about that. We have some great comping features that when you're on your live auction, you're following your favorite person that's on there. Every single live auction has a comp checker, so you can check the comp of that card before you make a bid on it to make sure, like, okay, hey, I see that card selling for $50 on average. It's now at 75. It's too rich for my blood now. Stay out of it. Or if you see that it's selling for 30, hop in on it, grab it, snipe it for a steal. So it's a little bit. It's things like that that we're making sure to keep the hobbyists so they can stay in the hobby longer, which is, you know, the whole goal here at the end of the day for everyone. That singles auction feature is phenomenal. I don't know if Everybody needs to go ahead and click rewind on their podcast apps or on YouTube and re listen to what George just said because that is a super smart, customer focused feature in a singles auction. I'm excited about that. And yeah, I think like listening to you talk to like, had I entered the hobby at a time when something like Slab Dynasty was available, that would have been a much better entry point for me back like late 2020, early 2021. Then, you know, trying to figure out, should I. Because I went through that. Like people, like new people listening to the sports card strategy show obviously don't know this, but many of you are returning listeners. So you know this or you know, maybe you don't know this. Maybe I haven't talked about it in a while. But I used to buy like I, I my mistakes that I talk about or the advice that I give rather is based on the mistakes that I've made as well as the data. So a lot of people think that I just look at data. I do. But I also remember I try a lot of stuff. Like George was kind of saying earlier, like, he and I like to try. We like to learn by doing. I know that about both of us. And having learned, when you learn by doing, you naturally make a lot of mistakes and then you're able to just sort of analyze the mistakes that you made. And we have this mechanism in our brain that prevents us from doing that again. Right? Like, it's like touching, touching fire and getting burned. It's like, okay, don't do that again. That's really how I move within the hobby and how I give my advice. So I want to step back and apologize to anyone who, if I ever come across as like not giving a reason for that, but it's always based like, like, I'll give you an example. The other day somebody was like, on the premium pod was like, I, I pulled this card out of a pack. What do I do with it? And I stopped on the premium pod and I was like, why are you opening up packs? I'm like, don't open up packs like that. That's your first problem right there. And so the point is, had there been a Slab dynasty that I was familiar with, it would have been a. But a much better entry point for me then opening up packs, then trying to figure out what to do with sealed wax that I bought that I don't really want anymore because it's going down in price. Then buying into break, the first break I ever bought into, I was like, wait a minute. I Don't get anything from this. I just paid this guy bucks. And then I never bought into another break ever again. Other than lefties, because our lefties and. And our friends over at Gray Bows. I was gonna bring that up. Yeah, used to break. But that's one of the reasons why I was drawn to you guys is because. And you might not say it that often, Paul, but you have, you have the experience. You've done everything. You know, the Dave Ramsey of sports cars. What does Dave Ramsey say? I've done everything wrong. So you now know what not to do. Like, it's the same thing. Like, I can say, like, I spent over a half a million dollars in wax before I found your page. Since then, my wax spending has been way, significantly less, and I've been making way, much more profit off of it, off of grading raw cards. And now Slab Dynasty. Like you said, I wish there would have been a marketplace back then that would have helped me recuperate some of my losses from ripping wax at that time instead of eBay's 13 fees. But, hey, you live and learn, and that's one of the things that, you know, are special about people like you and I. We, we see a problem, well, we make them as mistake. We then see the problem, and then we try to go out and address it and make it a little bit better for everyone else. That's right. And we, we. We chalk it up to the cost of doing business. Like, okay, I supported this person. Like, I, I thought, okay, well, I supported the person that was the breaker. Fine. Like, there's nothing wrong with that. Like, he, it wasn't like he was a bad guy. And I know that you have that, that outlook as well. Let me ask you one more question, because this just kind of hit me too. A lot of our audience happens to be international. I mean, like, looking at the analytics, okay, 98 of our audience is. Is in the United States of America. But we do. Within that other 2%, there is a large faction of people that are international, whether it be Australia, Canada, other parts of Europe, other parts of North America, and they are not able to move as well with the cards that we talk about, even though they might be American sports fans and wanting to buy and Transact with, with US sellers on eBay. Now, there are a ton of other platforms, Slab Dynasty being one of them. My understanding, you know, of Slab Dynasty is that it is a great alternative because not only can you rip a pack online, you know, a slab pack online, but you have, you know, you have that marketplace. So have you. How do you kind of think about, you know, being able to serve that international market that maybe ebay doesn't? Ebay hasn't quite got there yet. They have international shipping. They have other things. They used to have a vault, but they don't anymore. How does Slab Dynasty kind of look at the opportunity within the international market? Introducing Taco Bell's new jalapeno citrus salsa with bright citrus, real red jalapenos, guajillo chiles. Usually, usually you add sauce to the food, but when the sauce is this good, the food is just there to get the sauce to your mouth. That rolled quesadilla. Not a rolled quesadilla anymore. Now it's a sauce shovel. Taco Bell's jalapeno citrus salsa. Get it with any item on the Cantina chicken menu while it's here at participating US Taco Bell locations for a limited time only while supplies last. Contact store for availability. I mean, at the end of the day, what the United States market for sports cards and memorabilia is like at $15 billion, when you add in the international market, it takes it up to like $25 billion. So it's, you know, almost doubles the market as a whole. And one of the things that I've loved about Slab Dynasty is actually meeting a lot of these international guys. We have a guy out actually in Australia. His name's Joe. I'm not sure if he watches this program or not, but always on. Yeah, he's always on our site. He's always ripping wax off of it and getting it shipped down there. But I've been able to talk with people like Joe. I. We have a couple people out in Israel as well as Austria, the uk, Canada as well, and a couple actually even down in Mexico. So we've been getting a very diverse. We're probably about like around a 1% of where our customer is for international right now. But we've been able to learn a lot of their pain points and also the way a lot of them operate. A lot of them have Mailboxes or shipping providers here in the United States where they get all their stuff shipped to, then they repackage it, and then they ship it to their home country because they know how to ship it more, you know, more efficiently or properly, you know, setting up things like having invoices for them to be able to print out, to be able to provide it with customs and all those other things to be able to get their sports cards or their product a lot quicker are things that they have to go through that that we really don't. So those things have been really kind of eye opening on figuring out, hey, what can we do at Slab Dynasty to make their experience a little bit better? And one of the big things is, you know, shipping. How can we make shipping a lot easier for them? How can we help them maybe avoid customers or make it a little bit less, you know, because at the end of the day, if they're providing a service or having a service done, like using ebay to sell a card for them, that is having eBay provide a service or Slab Dynasty to provide a service. So in a lot of times they can even avoid customs and having to pay those fees. But having the insight to know that, or working with a company like Slab Dynasty that knows that when they reach out to their customer that support and says, hey, I want to ship some cards, I'm trying to figure out how to do it better, how to do it the right way, and being able to walk them through those processes is what's really separating, I think, a lot of companies in the international market. Sadly, international market's still crazy. There's a lot of ups and downs with it. Ebbs and flows ranging from scammers to, you know, just delays in shipping processes because of war going on in certain countries. We have a gentleman that was listing cards on our platform from Kuwait and then all of a sudden a war broke out and then Kuwait got bombed. And then even though they weren't even in the war, and he's messaged and was like, hey, I just had someone make a purchase of, you know, of some charizards that he had listed on this site. And he goes details down, I can't mail this now. What can I do? And working with them, working with the buyers. So all these things have really been learning curves that we've been having to work through and adjust. But then also we've been able to apply it to other future cases too, to make it easier for all the other international people involved. That's amazing, man. Good stuff.
