Philly show is this weekend as Matt cleans off his. His. His phone screen. And that's where you'll find Matt on Friday, Saturday, Sunday in the greater Philadelphia area. So looking forward to that. Should be a lot of fun. I mean, I'll be there Thursday night doing setup if any dealers want to come over and say hello. Yes. Chat, maybe Chat maybe talk about. Always will in the chat. Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh that's. That is. That is 100 true. We're actually. This is a little unusual. We're recording this before we record the hit list. So we haven't even talked about what's going to be on the hit list yet, but we wanted to come on and do this first, you know, it was Matt's suggestion. I'm sorry to interrupt. I'm sorry. I was just. These things hit me and it's just, you know, you hear dealers over the years, even when you were a kid. I got so much stuff. I got boxes of stuff. Yes. Stuff I got, you know, you hear that over the years? Of course. Yes. I've been doing this six years. I get everywhere. I just. I got it everywhere. You want to believe. We have to bleep that out, remember? Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh that's right. I'm sorry. We'll do. And usually we do it the other way. So I get my. Swears out early. And then the clubhouse. I'm clean. No, but this orbit's Jimmy Foxx is just on the Fleer upside down. They're just on the Fleer upside down. And my son comes down here. This place is a mess. Oh, my God. It's a mess down here. You literally. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean. And the more you do this, the more stuff there will be, for sure. Oh, my God. All right, well, this is actually not the first time that either of us. Oh, nice card. This is not the first time either. All right. This is not. Why can't I just comment and say it's a nice card. It was an addict. No, because then it throws you off and I get yelled at. Well, you're distracting me with cards. It's like a shiny object for me. For me. Come on. Who are we talking to here? All right. It's not the first time we've come up on Sports Card Clubhouse this week. In fact, mostly you came up a couple times on. On surface issues. Yes. And there's two clips, actually. The first clip I wasn't even going to play. The second clip is the one that I wanted to lead into the actual conversation for this show. But I got to put. We got to play the. We got to play this first clip here. So here we go. Sure. I'm sure that a lot of flippers and dealers are collectors, but that's, you know, their. Their main entry point into the hobby is as flippers and dealers. And maybe they collect on the side, but that's like 5% of what they do. You look at Matt from Promise. You. You mentioned Matt from Providence. He's a big collector. He. He loves buying and flipping cards, but he has a pretty vast collection, and he loves cards and he loves the history of. Of sport, particularly baseball. But I think that he's kind of unusual. I might need to isolate that. Can you. Can you hear me? I love him. Yu-Gi-Oh I just paused it. Yu-Gi-Oh What? There's just a few things. There's only. There's a little bit more. And it was just Greg, like, complimenting us and talking about how great our show is, so I will. That's a moot point because at, you know, So a couple things. So when he said unusual, I think he meant it as. I think he. I think most g. You a compliment. I think most of him meant it as a compliment that I was a big. Like, I love to collect, and I'm a dealer. He didn't really say dealer. He said flipper. I didn't really like that. He said he. I enjoy buying and flipping cards. That. That's not necessarily true the way. The way he said it. Again, not true, but unusual. And then two things happened. You know, you get to see their reaction. First you get his reaction to what he just said, and then I'll get to Miller in a second. And so he says it, and he goes. And he basically. His face went. Oh, that came out true in both. In two ways. Right? Because I think his. Like, that was his. Oh. Oh, that's true. Like, I thought that. I've thought that before is what he thought, but not in that context. Right. Not great. Not. Not nice. Not great. And then Miller and then midlife. Greg. Yu-Gi-Oh Greg. He. He says, that's good. That's good. Twice, like, two ways. That's also funny. Yu-Gi-Oh Again, the giggles. He had giggles right here and right here. And he just got so excited. He got so excited that he knew he had that clip. And he's so glad that it wasn't him that said it, but he got to own it. Yes. Again, thought to himself. Oh, we've both thought that before. That bold that happened. They may have even had a conversation about it. Again, it's not something I appreciate, but. But true. All I'm gonna say mentioned. I mean, being in the news, good or bad. There you go. Who wants to be usual? That's my take, man. That's. That's my thought. That's my. That's what my parents have told me since I was a kid. Just don't be. Yu-Gi-Oh You know, don't be normal. I just don't need the giggles. I don't need the giggles. I've been giggling throughout this whole thing, so I don't know what that says about me, but you say it. But. Yu-Gi-Oh No. Very nice compliments from those guys, as usual. All right, well, I. I thought. Don't tell me. Don't tell me it wasn't a Freudian dual use. I one-of-one hear otherwise. And by the way, I texted them. Yu-Gi-Oh No response. Oh, boy. Here we go. Well, now, boys. Unusual, huh, boys? Here's the. Great timing. I'm just about to record the hit list. I think they shake it in their boots. Well, you know, again, I would wear. I wear the. I would wear the unusual thing as a badge of honor. That's myself. But. All right, so now let's talk about. This is what the next thing was, what I actually wanted. Those guys that I. Com. If those dealers that I complain about are usual, sign me up for unusual. There you go. All right. But this is what I actually. And it was so funny. It was so. The timing was so good on this. Or at least, like, I was thinking about doing something on the show where we get Matt's unfiltered opinion because we just. We just don't get that enough. Don't forget, we gotta bleep those swears out earlier. Of course. Yes. I will not forget. Okay, so that clip that I played was this. Actually the second mention of Matt from Providence on the show. There was a. There was a clip earlier that spurred something in my mind. I'm like, this is perfect timing for us to do something that I've wanted to do for a while. So this, this was in the context of they were talking about if somebody was going to try to start a grading company that was going to try to compete legitimately, like compete with psa. Who are some people that they would like want to try to, that this theoretical company would want to try to attract to, to, to be part of it. And Mike brought up somebody and that led into a comment from Greg that leads directly into the topic of this throw out there that I think would be big with the younger people, which is a big market, is the King of Cards, Kyle Kravitz, who apparently is going to be on ESPN this at some point soon. They just announced some ESPN show that he's going to be a part of with cards. I always thought Jeff would be the guy that would be first on espn but good for Kyle. I watched a couple of his videos. Not, you know, it's more, more for the younger crowd, I think. But he seems cool. He seems like a really down to earth genuine guy. I could see a company going with him too. Seems smart. I'm, I'm curious, Matt from Providence, what, what he's gonna say to your, your recent comments about King of Cards. He's got some strong opinions about him. Oh Yu-Gi-Oh So look for that in an upcoming Sports Card Clubhouse extra innings episode. Well, fun fact, Matt from Providence on this week's Hit List said he has not watched a single one of my videos since he was on my channel and I went and looked. That was 22 months ago. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean at least he's not self serving, right? At some point I'm going to have Matt from Providence on. He's, he's been talking to me about it and I just, my life is crazy right now. All right, let me get me tip. Pull this out of here. So there's even a lot to digest from that too. But, but let's, let's talk about the, the idea of this was the name of this is tell, tell us how you really feel. So he teed you up right there about King of the Cards. We've, we, I know we've talked about him on the hit list. I don't think we've really talked about him on, on this channel before. But what do you, what do you think? Tell us how you really feel about King of the Cards. Kyle's very smart. He's very intelligent. He knows what he's doing. He's calculated everything he does. Everything he, he puts on is very, very intelligent, very smart. How he does it. He's Very. He doesn't care about cars, I don't think. Maybe he collects a little bit. Maybe he used to collect. Now he just collects those big blue 100 bills. And now he put himself in such a good position monetarily because now, I mean, he basically is just a mouthpiece for Fanatics. Right. For kids. Yu-Gi-Oh So I'm sure when Fanatics came in and they looked at that space online, they saw a card collector too. They're like, this kid's great. He says the right things, does the right things. People like him, but they don't have control of him. You know, at the end of the day, CC2 is worried about that business and he's just a regular guy that really. Actually, it's so funny. I had Card Collector 2 on the list. I'm sure. So CC2 likes. Really loves cards, really loves collecting. And so. And he's got a. He's got a kid, he's got a family. He's a regular guy. And he's just. I don't think he wasn't going to be the guy for them. He just wasn't going to be the guy. And then Jeff Wilson, I think Jeff Wilson's actually a. So I don't. Yu-Gi-Oh My opinion. Him, I. I think. I think he likes to do that stuff. And I think he'll. I think he's a. And he definitely not safe. Like, he's not smart enough to be. You're not. You don't want to control him because he's not smart enough. He's an idiot. You're spoiling the list. I asked you about one person. You've already brought up two of them. That's fine. Because they all. It all works. Because it works. So I can explain. Kyle. And so that's why. Oh, I thought Jeff or Jeff was going to be the guy to go on Sports center again. No way. Kyle is wicked smart. He's gonna say the exact right things. He's so comfortable on camera now. And. Yu-Gi-Oh And he's thinking like, this is big money long term. Like, so. Yu-Gi-Oh like that's two likes in a row. No good. No. This was a great question. I love it. Yu-Gi-Oh No, perfect mouthpiece for Fanatics, for young people. He's already doing breaking. Right. Like he wasn't a breaker before. Boom, he's breaking and then he's on Sports Center. Come on. We all know what time it is. Come on. But I'm with you. I'm with you. I. Everything is very calculated with him. Oh, he's a smart kid. Smart Kid. He'll be there. He'll be there at Philly this weekend. He'll be, he'll be there. He always sets up. Absolutely. I'm sure there's no idea who I am, so I just don't like, I don't like in his videos. I've, I've, think I've said a version of this before. The exploitation, the exploitation of children. But, like, that's on every commercial in the world. Like, he, he is a commercial man. So, like, but like, he makes this conscious choice to put the stuff in his videos where people come up to him and tell him how great he is. Like, that's a choice. He decides to put that stuff in his video. I just, I can't stand that. I, I can't stand it. He's so, he's such a phony. But one-of-one how, how many times does car collector 2 have guys come up to him and goes, oh, you're a real piece of crap. No, he's got kids coming up, say, I love you so much. He's a gift. Well, it's kind of the same thing. It is what they do. It's what they do. It's what they do. It's what they do. All right, let's, let's skip ahead then. I was, Then tell, tell me. You already mentioned him, so let's bring it up again. CARD COLLECTOR 2. Tell me what you really. I like them a lot. I like them a lot. I like them a lot. I, I, I understand he's part of the breaking thing and the shiny card thing, but I think he's a good guy. You know, he just. Listen, at the end of the day, he was just, he opened up his dream. He opened up a card shop. All he ever wanted to do as a kid was open up a card shop. Yu-Gi-Oh I like him a lot. I really like him. I don't love the break and stuff. I, I, I, I don't watch his stuff much anymore. I used to watch it more coming out of COVID I assume he does the, he's pro breaking and, you know, get the kids in the breaking. That's not good. But. Yu-Gi-Oh what are you gonna do? I mean, it's part of, it's part of it now. It's not. We can't snap our fingers and it's gonna go away. So, you know, you just kind of gotta, I don't know, peel through and see who's all right and who's not all right. But Kyle's no good. CC2, I think's got A good heart, but he's part of the bad with the breaking's no good. But it's funny, man. He puts his money into big time mantles. Like, he knows. He knows. Yu-Gi-Oh He don't talk about him, but he knows. All right. And then Jeff Wilson, I mean, if you want. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh tell me. Well, you already likes. I think he likes being center of attention. I think he saw a great spot, probably thought a great spot great. He'd be able to use his kids and his kids would enjoy it and all that. But I think he's just not that smart of a guy. I think he's not that intelligent. But money is a hell of a thing and money makes more money. I think that, you know, he. Yu-Gi-Oh I don't know how it. And he's too old, right? He's too old to be like, he can't appeal to the younger crowd. But I still. He's a. I think he's a. I don't think he. Like, you've got to take the time to learn stuff. Like, he still doesn't even know his product. You know what I mean? Right. That's a good point. But, but tell me, tell me how you, Tell me how you really. Tell me how you really feel about Michael Rubin. He's a billionaire man. He's no good. You don't get there. You don't get there being a philanthropist. So. Yu-Gi-Oh that's the point. Yu-Gi-Oh that's it. Tell me, tell me how you really feel about Ken Goldin snake oil salesman from the 80s and 90s and. Well, I can. What, what, what? He's, he's the example of. I say this to people all the time when we ch. Hobby stuff. But, like, the most important thing in this hobby if you want to make money long term and be a big name, obviously, is to make yourself a big name. But it doesn't matter if it's for good reasons or bad reasons. People just got to know your name. And he's. He's the perfect example of that because everybody knows he's no good. Everybody watches his stuff. Everybody. Everybody bids in his auctions. If he, if he, Everybody admits he's no good, but you still go and listen and follow his stuff and are interested in what he has to say. So these people just got to know who you are and that's it. I would say that he does. He knows. He knows his stuff. Like, he's not. Like, he's not. Oh, I think he likes. I think he used to like the stuff a lot more. I Think he likes the stuff. I think he appreciates the stuff. But he, he loves the spotlight more than he loves the stuff and he loves money more than he loves the stuff. 100 true. But he's a. But he's a. I mean the snake oil salesman. He always has been. That doesn't. You don't grow out of that, you know, like mature out of that. But Yu-Gi-Oh no, I mean it is what it is. But people follow him and people listen to what he has to say. His opinion matters just because people want to hear it. Even if, you know, not one way or another. Just got to get your name out there, good or bad. All right, last one for, for this edition and maybe. And we'll probably do this again in the future. As long as you're not. As long as you know, we haven't gotten canceled for this. Tell me how you really feel about Darren Ravel. I don't know much about Don Ravel. He's pushing the tickets. He probably likes the tickets. But the push is pretty strong that I think that collector everything. I've never been to that collect website. But I think, I think he's just. I think he's just full of all me. I think he's just. Yu-Gi-Oh I think, I think he's part of the pump. I think he's part of the pump. He says stuff. He says stuff just because it clicks. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh He doesn't. So he like, he does it for me. Like he not. I know he's in the hobby, but he's irrelevant to me. He just, he's nothing. Yu-Gi-Oh I, I wish he was nothing. Yu-Gi-Oh Like his website. I think his website doesn't really exist anymore. Like he moved everything to like social media. Like. I don't think so. I could be. I could be. They're gonna have like all kind of like journalists on there, guys writing stories and they had, they had some really good people that were involved in that. Yu-Gi-Oh they had some good people there. But like. Yu-Gi-Oh I just think he's. He is just like he pushes weird things. He has weird. He has very weird opinions. He said something weird about like how. What was it? He thought that like Fanatics Fest was going to be like four times bigger than the national. Like next year. As soon as something it's like, what are you talking about, dude? Like, that guy's. He's out to lunch. All right, that was it. And we got almost. We got 18 and a half minutes out of this, so.
