So yeah, let's get right into it. And since Roy is here, we got to talk about Logan Paul's Pikachu Illustrator PSA 10 that's up for auction currently on Golden. With the buyer's premium, I just checked right before the show began, or right before we started recording, the bidding has already surpassed what Logan Paul paid for it, which was 5.3 million. As of this recording, the bid is now at 6.324 million. And again, it's with the buyer's premium. So let's start with Roy first. What do you think of this auction of the Pikachu Illustrator up for grabs and do you think there's a chance it can hit 10 million dollars? Yeah, I mean, I think it can. It's like, if you think about it right now, the high-end Pokemon market is still hot. And with this card being probably the number one card to have in the hobby, whether people are saying it's not a true PSA 10, if you look at the card, it shouldn't be a 10. I mean, at the end of the day, it's still the only 10. And the ones that talk the most are the ones that can't afford it. And the ones that are actually bidding are bidding because it's a flex, it's a staple. It's literally the only copy in the world. And that's why they're bidding on it, right? So it's like in Dubai, people are paying millions of dollars for a license plate with the lowest number, right? I didn't know that, but... Oh yeah, so... Are we collecting license plates now? Is that what we're doing? I mean... Can we buy it on eBay? My license plate number will be like seven digits, right? Yeah. But yeah, it's just a flex at the end of the day. It's the one copy and if you own it, you're the only person that says that you can have it, right? Or that you have it. You can have it in your possession. So I could see it going over 10 million, especially with the whole card, not just TCG Pokemon, but sports cards high end. That market is just going berserk right now. So this being the number one card, I feel like it could definitely go over 10 million. But at the same time, what do I know about that marketplace of eight figure cards? I don't. I could see it going there, but really, what's my opinion? I'm struggling to buy like four figure, five figure cards, so... You're not going to bid on it? I mean... Well, there's another thing I'm curious to see what that Logan Paul is offering through Golden, but before we get to that, Will, any thoughts on the Pikachu Illustrator that's up for auction? Yeah, I thought I saw some post about some Pokemon collector offering 10 million and him saying no, but maybe that was more like just a publicity thing. 10 million, okay. Just to ramp up some attention to the auction. What I find interesting about this card is, you know, there's all that discrepancy of like, is it a true PSA 10? Regardless, it's a pop one. It's a one of one. It's something that's transcended Pokemon, and it's funny that we're talking about this on this pod tonight because, you know, you got the Pokemon guy, you got the wrestling guy, and that's exactly who Logan Paul is, right? Even if you look at the listing description, it says that it comes with a diamond necklace, the diamond necklace that he wore at WrestleMania. So it's not just a card that was sitting in a vault somewhere. It's the card that he, I'm pretty sure he wore it at WrestleMania, right? Yeah, he did, yep. So there's just like this whole other level to this card itself, and I don't know if it really matters, but it says that it's hand delivered to the winning bidder. I don't know. Probably people with that much money don't care if Logan Paul's coming over to their house to deliver it, but yeah, I think it has so much cachet beyond just being the best Pokemon card. Yeah, good point. So yeah, I think it has a good chance to go above 10 mil. I mean, when you get to that level, it's really just whatever the wealthiest person wants to pay, how much taxes he needs to write off, or how much money she's embezzling, you know? It's like, it doesn't even matter whether for them it's 10 million or 12 million or whatever. So yeah, who knows where it's going to end up. What are the thoughts of Logan Paul in the WWE space? Oh yeah, like, I was going to bring this up separately, and it's funny that we're talking about this, because I was going to say, like, hey guys, one of these days we have to talk about Logan Paul. He is so hated, and he was always hated. He was always hated as being this part-timer, this, you know, he's just like, pretender, he's this outsider, and then he took all of that on, and he's like, yeah, I'm the outsider, but he's not a part-timer, like, he, in the ring, his, like, his ability is really, really good. I don't know if you guys got to watch Unreal, the second season that just got released, but they did a little feature on Jelly Roll and Logan Paul, and there's this one spot where Logan Paul jumps from the top rope onto Jelly Roll on the announcer's table, and you see the athleticism of Logan Paul, and it's just like, you can't deny his wrestling prowess and how much effort he's giving, and then he's aligned himself with, like, the top bad guys of the wrestling, like, storylines, so it's kind of, like, enjoyable, it's kind of, I kind of enjoy watching him, like, yeah, so. It's incredible. I think they teased turning him babyface, and I think they realized he's just always going to be a great, great heel, he's always got to be the bad guy, and we're just going to keep booing him, but after a certain point, it's like, are they booing you, or are they saying boo-erns, and we're all going to be saying boo-erns. Yeah. I was saying boo-erns. No, it is funny you brought that up about Logan Paul, the connection with him, and even in this pod, with him being a Pokemon guy and a wrestling guy, and I didn't even think about that, but just going back to the Pokemon side of things, with Logan Paul, do you think, I don't know, I'm just thinking that he's a genius marketer, he knows what to do with his money, you know, even in our last episode, we were talking about whether we've hit the peak on the Pokemon card market, and then we thought maybe the 30th anniversary will be the peak this year, and then it'll kind of drop off a little bit, I wonder if Logan Paul is kind of playing into that, right? He knows it's the 30th anniversary, he knows there's a lot of attention on Pokemon, he's going to maximize what he can in terms of getting profit, and then maybe he's slowly going to leave the Pokemon card market, or he's not going to be as serious about it. And we've already seen clips of him apparently getting into One Piece now, so he looks like he follows the trends himself, and he's a social media guy, so obviously he's going to do that. But do you think there's something to it, that this is kind of a sign, a warning, so to speak, for maybe people to sell what they can now, and then maybe come back into it later when the market dips? Yeah, I don't know, it seems like that's the way it's being portrayed, but I don't know, it feels like Pokemon will still kind of have that run, it'll just go up and down, but like the S&P 500, it's always up, right? Over time? Over the long term. Yeah. Yeah, I feel like he's gotten, during his time with the illustrator, and he's just trying to maximize his profits, I think it's good timing, especially with the white hot market, just like in cards in general. But yeah, going back to One Piece, I was telling you earlier, myself being a One Piece fan in terms of watching the anime, I haven't jumped into the TCG yet, which I should have, but he called the main character, Luffy D. Monkey, which his name is actually Monkey D. Luffy, so he's getting roasted online saying he's a true fan when you can't even pronounce it, or read the name of the character, the main character. So you know what? That's okay for Logan Paul. That's exactly what I would expect him to do. It could be rage baiting, you know? Just getting people riled up, putting more attention on. That's his brand. Exactly. These guys know what they're doing. He's the epitome of bad publicity, and what's it called? What's the phrase? All publicity is good publicity? Yeah, no such thing as bad publicity. Yeah. I mean, I don't know if it's the Pokemon market crashing, or if it's a precursor to the crash of Pokemon market. I mean, if anything, the Pokemon market looks like it'll just kind of follow the kind of COVID boom that we had with sports cards. Right now, most cards haven't returned to the value that they once were, but if you look at the upper end, the high end, those have all returned, and even gone higher. So what that means is investors, collectors are kind of settling into the top echelon, like the upper echelon of cards. It shouldn't be that every Pikachu card is worth $1,000, but are there a handful of them that should be worth that? Of course, and I think that's probably what's going to happen to the Pokemon market. So I don't think Logan Paul's selling has really anything to do with that. I kind of think of it as like, if I was in Logan Paul's shoes, I had the chance to get the Grail of all Grail cards, and I got it, and it's like, what's next? You know? Like, there's this emptiness in his soul. Like if he was a kid just like us growing up and loving Pokemon cards and loving collecting, it's like, he's finished the final level, and it's like, oh shoot, like what am I supposed to do now? And so I think he's probably selling just because it's the time, and he wants to move on to something else, he wants to collect One Piece, Laffy Taffy Monkey, he's got to get that. It could very well be true. Well, we'll see. I'm really curious to see if it could hit the 10 million mark, but yeah. You know what? Kind of in the shadows of that announcement is an opportunity to bid on a 1999 Pokemon base set first edition booster pack from Logan himself, right? He's going to do an upcoming live box break, I don't know if you guys heard, and includes an invite to the break at Golden headquarters, which is in New Jersey. You get a plus one as well, and I believe there's a pre-stream dinner with Logan for all pack winners, right? So if you bid and you win the auction, you and your guests can have a dinner with Logan Paul before they actually break the first edition box. And if you get a holo in your pack, Golden will submit the card to PSA, and any that comes back a PSA 10, any of those cards, if they come back a PSA 10, they'll have a pedigree tag that says Logan Paul break on the label. So current bids, just to win one of the packs, is at around $11,000 right now, US. So I don't know, Roy, if you had the money, would that be something you'd be interested in bidding on, even just for the experience? I'll go first. No thank you. I'll pass. Thanks though. That was easy. I mean, if I had the money, whether it was Logan Paul or not, those box breaks don't happen often, you know, first edition base set. I think his last one during COVID, they got a bunch of Charizards, and I think a few of them got 10s. Didn't he get a whole bunch of G.I. Joe cards too? That wasn't for the box break, but yeah, that could have also been a publicity stunt, right? He played the long game. I don't know if, what's that company, BBCW or whatever? I don't know if it was worth it for them, for that to be a publicity stunt. That's true. That's true. The authenticator brand, if people are wondering what BBCW is. No, but yeah, I think it'll be a cool experience. If I had $10,000. I would join. I was actually thinking the other day, I was like, hmm, I wonder what these packs would go for. I think they'll probably end up going for what, like $30 grand? and a pack. Oh, really? Okay. That's crazy. Yeah. I'm just guessing. I don't remember what the last one went for, but probably more now, but I would probably join if I had the money. Just, you know, yeah. Why not? Right. You hit a Charizard and you're up and you're laughing, right? If golden submitting it to PSA, it's an automatic PSA 10, isn't it? You know, it's funny if you read the fine print. Crazy to believe, but I want to look back at some numbers from an article and athletic about the hobby from 2025. All right. So I looked at trends from eBay data, so I thought we could see what they were in 2025 and then ask ourselves if we think it'll continue, those trends will continue into 2026. All right. And I thought it would be fun to almost do this like family feud because a lot of these are presented as lists. So I want to see how many answers you guys can get before you get the three strikes that you do in the family feud game. All right. So first question, who are the top five player searches by league? Okay. So in terms of, um, looking for cards and collectibles, uh, let's start with the NBA. Who do you think was the most searched basketball player in 2025? LeBron James. LeBron James is number four. I think it has to be Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan is number one. Ooh, Steph Curry. Steph Curry is not in the top five. That's strike one. All right. Here we go with Wemby. Wemby is number two. There you go. You got one, two, and four. Now you need three and five to sweep. Got one strike. Oh, do I get to go again? Anyone? Who are the top athlete searches by country? And this is across eBay's geospecific URLs. So let's start with, okay. I should narrow this down. Four countries. All right. Starting with USA. Who do you think it was a top athlete search in the States? Now get both of you a guess. Jordan. Michael Jordan's right. Yeah. Number one searched athlete in ebay.com. All right. Uh, the UK, the United Kingdom. Lionel Messi. Yeah. I was thinking maybe Messi. That's a good guess, but Messi is not the answer. Ronaldo. Oh, no. Yeah. Meow. What's that guy's name? Yeah. I mean, I mean, I don't think he's in the UK. It isn't let me email. It's you got to think. F1. Versus Louis Hamilton. Louis Hamilton. Yeah. From the UK. All right. France. Um, got a couple more. Uh, which emerging sports saw significant growth in resale card values. And this is based on the average sale prices of trading cards in 2025 this past year versus 2020. So which increased within those five years, the most, um, what, what league, what, uh, emerging sport would you say? Soccer considered an emerging sport? Uh, sure, but it's not, um, yeah, it's not on the top four list. Is it like a sport or like a league of the sport? Like MLS? Yeah. They gave me, um, the answers are all leagues. Yeah. And one of them is not an emerging sport, but I guess in the trading card hobby space, it's not as popular. Um, so yeah, it's, it's not the NBA. It's not MLB. You know what I mean? PGA. Good guess, but no. So it's not, uh, you said it's not any soccer. It's not any soccer. No, I'll say maybe MLS. Cause all the stars, right. All the stars have been coming over. I think it was like a new tops Chrome MLS release. I was like, ah, should I buy it? That's a good guess. We kind of mentioned it for the UK. F one F one is number four, 35% increase over the five years. Hmm. Man, I would love it. It would WWE. Yeah. I'd love it. If you said wrestling, but WWE is number two, 125%. This is why I kept the question in there. I'm not alone. There's at least a dozen of us. 125% from 2020 to 2025. There's one higher than WWE. At 130% increase. What other leagues are there? There's no soccer. There's that power slap. There's pickle ball. I'll give you a big clue. Think female tennis. No. Oh, W WNBA. Yeah. Number one. Yeah. And number three is I'll tell you what it is. It's the NHL plus 40%. So that's considered an emerging sport. I mean, I don't think so, but I guess. Stretch your imagination a little bit when it comes to the hobby. Yeah. I guess the U S don't consider hockey as one of the major sports. Most of our listeners in the States are like, what's hockey? All right. Uh, I got a couple more quick ones. Which athlete in 2025 had the most cards graded according to gem rate.com? Most cards created. It's got to be Griffey. Griffey is I think it's Otani. Or when be not for 2025 alone like I think in totality Griffey's always up there, but King Griffey's not on there Otani is number three. Yep. Hundred sixty-five thousand of his cards graded in 2025 That's a lot of third-year base Speaking of which I think I think some of the guys sent a bunch of third-year fourth-year base cards I think PSA tennis they go for like 200 bucks. That's crazy, man. It's crazy Wembe Well, man, yeah, my number six hundred ten thousand of his cards were graded in 2025 LeBron LeBron didn't make the list Jordan Jordan is number two two hundred six thousand cards. You people are still fine. So Think about some of the names you already said in the top athlete searches that kind of correspond to this will be No, Kobe's not there Who invited this guy on the team? Okay 136,000 of Caitlin Clark cards Number one NFL think football quarterback Caleb no, Caleb number seven. Yeah, 99,000. Yeah, there was cursing Bone, I said I said his name bone. I know that bone X number five hundred fifteen thousand of his cards Yeah, there's three more football players on this list. It's crazy. What was the one that Roy said that I was so surprised I was like, how does he even know that? Was that bone X Jaden? Daniels number one two hundred thirty six thousand of his cards graded last year. That's well and people lost a lot of money in 2025 Cuz of Jaden Daniels, you know what? I don't want to expose myself, but like I consider myself an NFL fan I don't know who Jaden Daniels. Oh my goodness play for Washington. Is it the quarterback for Washington? Who's Jaden Daniels? commanders always the commander's court You did you remember that in fanatics fest the owner of the Commanders. Oh, he's trying to buy his cards Yeah, but his super frac or his one-on-one prism for a half a million. Wait, did he have a good season? Maybe he kind of saw a little nice little bump after the World Series Yeah, but it should pitchers should be valued doesn't make sense Could be a good underrated play. All right, you know what? We're joking about this off-air, but I was gonna give you this as an initial question but I realized I gave you the answers beforehand and the question was what are eBay's top 10 most search collectibles terms and I'll read them out loud because you guys already know the answer but number one was Pokemon Number two was Pokemon cards number three was Lego Four was PSA 10. So a lot of people looking for PSA 10 cards number five was PSA Six Lego Star Wars Seven Hot Wheels. I know Hot Wheels is a still a thing because of my two boys number eight Pokemon PSA 10 number nine Michael Jordan I Think he was the only athlete named in top ten of this most search collectible terms and number ten was football cards in general football cards So when someone types in PSA in this eBay search They have to go through a lot of different results, you know That tells me there's a lot of new collectors coming into the space. They're like, oh I heard a PSA And then you know, yeah, they'll probably have their next search was PSA 10 You just search Pokemon You're gonna get everything Hey, don't make fun of people that are coming into the hobby and just learning about how to use eBay for the first time But also shows you from this list something we already knew right Pokemon cards huge huge year in 2025 Right and another thing PSA 10 PSA. I mean, it's the dominant grading Company, right? No, it's no one searching BGS 9.5 like I am I'm the only one probably looking for that. I don't think I've ever ever typed in BGS That's my first search looking for value man, yeah, it's a good way to do it I should probably do it more but Roy is a PSA 10 slob. Yeah. Yeah. I am a snob Lego search. It's like Well Legos huge, yeah, what are you talking about? No, I mean like as a collectible term like Well, if you're buying Lego, what would you type in So the people are just looking for like Lego. No, I'm saying there's like it's a Like there's value like there's probably really good value and holding on to sets right like seal. Yeah There's some rare sets for sure. Yeah. Oh, yeah, I Mean, I know who's that basketball player. I think it's Miles Turner. But yeah, something like top five graded cards, top four were Pokemon, and then there was Michael Jordan as number five. That was a crazy 2025 for Pokemon. All right, let's end off the show with our regular weekly segment we call Pick One. All right, usually when the three of us are together, Will, you start things off for us. So you got one? That was a really good segue from the end of what you were saying, because I have a 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan, PSA 1, valued at $3,800 Canadian. Okay, it's a total population of all graded 1986 Jordan cards is 49,000. That's every grading company, every grade. There's 49,000 Fleer Jordans. Yeah. Or you can have the Pikachu Gray Felt, the Van Gogh, PSA 10, that's a pop of 46,000 of just PSA 10s for $2,500 Canadian. So which one would you rather have, the Pikachu Gray Felt, PSA 10 for $2,500, or a 1986 Fleer Jordan, PSA 1 for $3,800? Oh, I'll go first. Even though, I don't know, there's something about this card that I just I want it, but I don't want it at the same time, just because the pop count is so high. I continue to say like, it's going to go down, it's going to go down, but it just doesn't. So, but I'd still rather have the Michael Jordan, just because I feel like any card show you go to, there's going to be a PSA 10 Van Gogh on eBay, it's going to be easy to find. Whereas this Jordan, 86 Fleer pop, what, 400, it's not going to be easy to find. And there are people who do collect PSA 1s, which is kind of weird, but... They should just connect with me after I send off my cards to Grader. Yeah, I don't know, I feel like MJ is just, this card is just so iconic and having it in any grade would be would be nice to have in the collection. And, you know, 45,000 of these and the 46,000, and it'll probably be 50,000 by the end of the month or something like so. But the Pikachu? Yeah, I feel like it's just, if you want it, you can get it anytime, whereas the MJ you can't, so I'll go with 86 Fleer. Wow. Wow, did not expect that. I, in a weird way, I kind of did, because he always zags like that, pick one, he always goes for the sport, some, yeah. Yeah, I don't know. Maybe because I'm around Pokemon cards so often, and I see them so often that like the chance that you get to see a sports card, an iconic one at that, it just makes me want it, so. Yeah, no, that's good reasoning. I have the Van Gogh PSA 10, thanks, Roy, for that, and, you know, when I look at Card Ladder, you know how it shows you like the daily fluctuations, and then whenever, like, you know, I have like seven or eight cards in my collection database that I put, that I actually input into Card Ladder, so it kind of keeps track of the daily movement, and whenever there's like a, I'm like, oh, there's a plus 100, plus $200 increase in value, it's always a plus 100, plus $200 increase in value. Yeah, it's always the Pokemon card. If it's a minus, like, oh, my gosh, the Luka took a drop again. Actually, the Luka's a bad example, because the last sell, the one I have, I bought it for what, just under 7K, it just sold for $12,000 the other day. Ooh, nice. So I'm up $5,000 with my Luka, thank you. But normally, all the pluses are always because my Van Gogh is up, or that stamp box is up, which is growing nicely. So I'm thinking about it this way, if I had an opportunity to trade for this card, I got my Van Gogh, and someone's like, hey, you want this MJ PSA 1, but you got to pay me $1,000 more, I'm like, no, I'm not doing it, you know? So I think I'd rather just have the Pikachu, and it doesn't make sense. Wow. You know, even when we were talking about it earlier on the show, like, with Pokemon card market, when is it going to drop? Is it going to drop? You know, I'm always thinking, like, I should probably sell my Van Gogh soon, but I just don't, you know? And same thing with my stamp box. So I don't know, I'm just going to ride it out with Pokemon. So that's what I'm doing, I'm keeping my Van Gogh. Wow, nice, nice. I actually looked at PSAs today, because I did a big submission, but I was looking at all my old subs, and I just saw, like, 20 PSA 10 Van Goghs that I had, and I sold them way, way, way too cheap. To you as well. I appreciate it. You probably have, what, like, 8,000% on that? It's alright. Thank you, I don't know how many times I can say thank you, but... Alright, Will, break the tie. Yeah, I'm actually surprised at how both of you guys answered. I expected the reverse, but I'm going with the Pikachu. Wow. Yeah. I did not, that I didn't expect. You know, like, for me, it's always the look of the card that matters to me. And I get that the Jordan is the iconic, you know, it's so iconic. But I'm just thinking, like, what does a PSA 1 look like? It's... A lot of creases. Right? It's like somebody blew their nose with it. Yeah, it's got a story behind it, you know? It's probably the worst looking card imaginable. Now, if it was, like, a T2F6 Honus Wagner or, like, a Babe Ruth Gaudi, it's like, yeah, I understand why it would be a PSA 1. Because it, like, went through, like, wars and, like... Okay, and you know what? The Honus Wagner, it being valued at millions of dollars, I'm sure that doesn't hurt either. No, I'm just saying, like, I wouldn't have a problem, like, I don't have a problem with the fact that it's a PSA 1 because it makes sense. Like, there should be cards that are that mangled up. But 1986 wasn't that long ago. Like, why is it in such poor condition? Like, it doesn't make sense to me. Can I show you something, Will? I mean, it's pretty old. Are you going to show me? Four years. The PSA 1 on the screen. I mean, it doesn't look... Like, I would have expected it worse, to tell you the truth. Right? Yeah, like, I grew up in, like, collecting in the 90s and early 2000s, and I just shoved cards in my pocket. It would probably look worse than this. See, that's the thing. Like, how is that a PSA 1? So, there's probably some type of indent or crease that you can't really see. Yeah, maybe the back of it has boogers. No, but there are bent corners. You can see it if you look up close. Like, every corner is kind of bent, and you see a lot of whitening on the edges. You know what? This is just getting me angry thinking about grading. And I'm just like, if that's a 1, why is my... Why did I get a PSA 7 on a card that looks nearly flawless until you look at it under a microscope? It doesn't make sense. Anyway, I'm going with the Pikachu. Move on. Pikachu wins the day. Alright, Roy, you're next. Alright, so we're going with two of my favorite Pokemon cards, you know, visually. It's the 2016 20th Anniversary Festa, the one with Pikachu and the three Gen 1 starters in a PSA 10, versus the iconic Mario Pikachu in a PSA 10. I think both of them are just under 30k Canadian. I think the pop count is just over 2,000 for the Mario, and I think just over 1,000 for the Festa. Let me check. Yeah, 1,200. Just over 1,200 for the Festa. So one's a 20th Anniversary with the Gen 1 starters, and one is the Mario Nintendo collab that we'll probably never see again. Will, you want to go first? Yeah. I'm just looking at the pictures of the two cards. I know. It's easy for me. It's the Gen 1 starters. It's the... Really? Yeah. Why? You thought it was the Mario? Yeah, I thought you said you were all about Mario and Pikachu, or Pokemon. I love the Mario Pikachu card. I think it's such a great card. But the Pokemon game... I mean, I loved Mario growing up. But playing Pokemon on my Game Boy as a young teenager was like... And playing with my friends at church. We'd skip church. We'd run away and go play in the hallways playing our Game Boys. There's just so many special memories attached to those original starter Pokemon and with Pikachu. Anytime I see the starters... I get Instagram content thrown at me where it's just like... Did you know about Pokemon Red and Blue? And I'm like, yep, I'll watch all of them. Anything that's original 151, anything that's Red and Blue, I'll choose that any day. Okay. Another shocker for me when it comes to Will's answer. Um... I don't know if it's because I've talked to you guys a lot over the past year and a bit about Pokemon cards and I also had DC and Stephan Martin who I talked about Pokemon cards with and I brought up 1v1 with Mario Pikachu and they look at me like I'm an idiot but the obvious answer is Mario Pikachu. And it doesn't matter what it's up against. I'm drinking the Kool-Aid. I'm Mario Pikachu all the way. Team Mario Pikachu. That's what I'm doing. I love the Pikachu Festa card still but I feel like that collab is special and I don't know if we're going to have another one like that in a long time. Mario Pikachu for me. Wow, another tie? The Mario Pikachu has legs right now. It's going up faster than the Festa or any of the other cards like that and I think it's because of that exclusivity with Nintendo and having that Mario image and I feel like for me and Will, we grew up during the Gen 1 era so we have this bias, this attachment to these Gen 1 starters whereas I think a lot of new collectors they never grew up on Gen 1 so Gen 1 to 9 they choose who their starters are who they like and I feel like if they started off with a Gen 2 or Gen 4 or whatever it is they may not have this attachment like, oh, it's just Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle so they're going to be jumping on the Mario but for me, I was a Gen 1 guy this is the card when I first saw it I'm like, I have to have it this is what got me into Pokemon I sold it once and I had to buy it back I think it took me about a week and a half to find another copy locally because after I sold it I'm like, a part of me is missing this is a card that I won't sell this is a card that I'll keep and the only reason I'd sell it is if I could sell it higher than I could find it it's something I'm probably going to pass down to Miles it's a card that I cherish I'll go for this but I do want the Mario I've always said it I've wanted the Mario when it was $2000 I've wanted the Mario when it was $5000 and I want the Mario when it's $20,000 just bite the bullet, buy it $20,000 it's so hard I'll wait for the dip again it'll be $40,000 by then but yeah, I'm going to go with the Festa alright before we go to my pick one quick question for you Roy especially I know I just read that the National History Museum in London I guess they're going to do a collab with Pokemon it's kind of like the same thing with Van Gogh at the Amsterdam Museum do you think that's going to have any likes or do you think we're at a part where it's just going to be mass produced I don't think it's a small it's a jumbo card from what I've heard so those usually don't do as well no they don't long term who knows there are much less collectors of jumbo cards than regular sized cards but I don't know they may throw a curveball and be like no we're going to also have one of these promos as well so who knows but the card looks cool it's nice, it's nothing like the Van Gogh but it's a promo it's a promo that's exclusive to an activation with the museum so it could do well I'm interested let's go with my pick one to end the show I've got three cards for you and they're all in the $2,500 range so the first one is I kind of mentioned it in passing the Monkey D. Luffy or Luffy D. Monkey now you're confusing me it's like was it Luffy D. Monkey I'm not a one piece collector so I have an excuse but the Monkey D. Luffy the collaboration with the Dodgers they handed out during one of the games PSA 10 of that card currently goes for 2,500. I think the pop count's just under 9,000 at a PSA 10. Then for Pokemon, I was just looking for a similar comp. At 2,500, you got the Magikarp and Wailord GX team up. Yeah, Full Art, that's going for, it's 2019 from the Pokemon Sun and Moon set. Yeah, nice looking card, Full Art. And then, the sports card side, Shouei Otani, his 2018 Bowman Chrome rookie card. And it's just base Bowman Chrome, but his PSA 10 is going for 2,500, believe it or not. That's crazy. Base PSA 10. That makes no sense. Pop count, just under 5,000. And I think the pop count for the Pokemon was the lowest out of the three at, I want to say under 2,000. But why is it only a pop 5,000 of that Shouei card? I don't understand. There should be like- It's called pop control. Oh, that's just a gem mint? Yeah, yeah, for PSA 10, yeah. That's wild. That's crazy. Like these cards are what, like 40 bucks? Mm-hmm. I wonder how much it is raw. I wonder if it's a, you know- It's gotta be so high. It's gotta be so high now. I know, yeah. The Magic Card pop count is 1,954, so just under 2,000. I'll go first. I mean, you know, there's something about that LA Dodgers Leafy card. I don't know, it's like the art's cool. Like he's wearing his straw hat and then there's a Dodgers hat on top. He's doing his, you know, his rubber arm, but yeah, I'll probably go with that card. Highest pop count? Highest pop count, but at the same time, it's like a promo card. And, you know, one piece has legs right now and it's hot. And I don't know, this is a card that I tried to buy when it first came out. How much was it then? $60. $60. That is incredible. No, I think I could have bought it for, I think it was $150 US on eBay, raw. But I was like, do I want to spend, this will probably go down. No, it keeps going up, but yeah, I don't know. I like the art. I like it one piece. And I had that team up card and I feel like long-term, this may probably do the best, but I don't know, I like that Monkey D. Luffy card. So I'll go with that. Only one of these cards is not LA Dodgers related. I knew it. I knew this would be your answer. Yeah, so by, yeah, by elimination, it has to be the Magic Card. I can't even look at the show. I can't even look at the Monkey Card. Like it just hurts my soul, so. It's never going to stop hurting. It's almost been a full off season, Will. We got to move on. Let's try to move on together. No, no, I haven't even processed it yet. Listen, you know what? Forget about Kyle Tucker. We'll say we don't need you when they come into town. I'm going to be at that game probably in one of those Dodgers versus Jays games. In your Otani, Maitani jersey. Hey, that was supposed to be a secret, okay? Holding his Yamamoto, Top's Chrome, home field advantage card. I just submitted that for grading so I could sell it, okay? So I could sell it and make a profit off these Dodgers who have billions of dollars to spend on players. Yeah, I hear you, Will, though. But, I mean, for me, I think I'm going to go, Otani doesn't make sense to me, so he's out. That base card, Bromine Chrome, that's ridiculous. And I'm not a big fish guy in general. Oh. So by elimination the other way, I'm going to go. Yo, you're disrespecting Magikarp. Yeah, he's not a fish, he's. Oh, Magikarp's not a fish? It looks like a fish. It starts as a fish, but. Kind of like what you did earlier on. And then I blink and it's like 2,500 now. So, maybe I should pull the trigger soon. That's why they say, like, don't think, just buy. I don't know if that's a good model to live by. I mean, if it was in the TCG place, I would have done nice. That's true. But then, you know, there's always a bubble somewhere. Yeah, I might have been single, divorced, but I would have had a nice collection. Very nice. My friend told me, don't think, just buy. So, that's what I did.
