But first we're going to be looking at the top 10 temporal forces and then of course three stories, all that have the same kind of theme around them. Followed by our Gen5 pick from the Pokedex and finally our pick for the Pandora for diamond and Pearl. Ironically, if you're listening to the podcast, you're going to see what I Beckett Tomorrow, which is the 27th of August. Partly because I. I'm kind of caught up and not caught up in as far as like content creation for our sponsor. I have some videos I need to re record Addison B Roll and then upload those. However, I already have my card in the Pandora for our pick this week and had originally planned it to debut tomorrow without remembering that. Hey, we actually haven't discussed what the card is yet. So this is the next thing that's going to come out to please our are corporate overlords. But first things first, the top 10 temporal forces. Number one, thank God I have this card. And thank God I bought it when it was. I think I bought it for like $30 Canadian. Now keep in mind these prices are in USD. So when you hear these totals, if you're in Canada, you can add a crap ton more money to that. So number one is the ghastly Illustration Rare at 98.1. Number two is Morty's conviction, which is the sir at 67.35, which I mean, interesting that number two is a character Illustration Rare. Yu-Gi-Oh but also quite interesting that there is quite a bit of a gap, like a $30 gap between the top two. But then we get back into the Pokemon. Thank God because I mean trainers are cool, but we're all here for the Pokemon, right? Number three is another weird one. Raging Bolt ex the sir. It's 64.14. I think it was last week that we were mentioning some of the weird. What's the New versions, you know, the. Yu-Gi-Oh Since then, the futuristic versions. How they're. They're weird. It was. They're kind of sought after after, but not really anymore since they're been kind of rotated for better cards in the TCG competitive play. Although I think region Bolt is still relatively used. Maybe number four again, thank God I have this card is the Gengar EX, the Ultra rare at $62.37. Number five is a very weird one. Solzbuck Illustration Rare at $60.02. Number six is another very strange EX. It's an Iron Crown EX, the SIR at $54.72. Number seven is Gouging Fire SIR at $52.90. Fall by number eight at Walking Wake, the SIR at $50.81. Now, when I was doing these, the prices and looking at the artwork and while saving the artwork to my folder so I can put it in here to the video version of the podcast, when I looked at number nine, I thought, well, that's kind of strange. Maybe number nine connects with number five, the Salzbach. But then I looked at the two side by side and the colors didn't quite make sense, at least at first in my brain. And then I realized, oh, they kind of do make sense. Now I'm just stupid. Number nine is. Yu-Gi-Oh it goes with time of year. Yu-Gi-Oh Number nine is the Deerling Illustration Rare. Quite a bit cheaper than the Salisbuck at $44.35. But Yu-Gi-Oh if you put the Deerling and the Solace buck together, I'll put them side by side again here in the video version of the podcast, they kind of go through like the seasons, but like the seasons are in different arrangements in a sense. I think the pinks match up, but then there's like different colors in between. But Yu-Gi-Oh they do kind of display all the seasons. But finally, number 10 is the Cincinno Illustration Rare at 43.61, which is a very odd Pokemon to have any topic. Freaking chinchilla. Yu-Gi-Oh but if you want to get all 10 of those cards today, you're looking at a whopping 598.28 USD, remember which. Dear God, that's. I mean, almost 600 for 10 of the temporal forces. Now, I mean, keep in mind, a lot of these are the Sirs in the Illustration Rare. So, you know, it's. It's expected. Obviously you're going to pay a crap ton less for the commons on commons rares, all that crap. You know, it's pretty typical that you're going to Pay more for the. Especially sirs. Yu-Gi-Oh But our first story though is how a second man has been jailed in the UK over a $62,000 Pokemon theft, which. Holy freaking crazy. Now when we say $62,000, that's actually £62,000 I guess, or in like you UK currency. I don't know what the hell that's going to be in US or Canadian, but it's a hell of a lot of money. I believe the last time I looked at conversions for currency, UK did not convert very well to Canadian. I think you paid more in Canadian. So with that being said, you would probably pay a little bit less in us but still it's pretty damn expensive. So. A man who sold Pokemon credits to the value of €62,000 or around €72,000 from a gaming shop has been jailed. The Cheshire police in the UK have said. Have. Have said. Have What? That's weird. It totally kicked. Like it froze. Yep. Yu-Gi-Oh the whole. Yu-Gi-Oh the whole freaking thing shut down. I don't know why. Yu-Gi-Oh hopefully. I mean, could you get the cards? Did that record at least? Because all the temporal forces. Yep. You finished? Is there a way we can like edit it? Okay. Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh I'm. I'm hoping that when we end the call, or end the. Yu-Gi-Oh end a call. I guess it should download both versions or I guess because whatever. Yu-Gi-Oh And I can just literally mash them together. Hopefully. You know, it's ironic, you know, I've mentioned in previous podcasts now that I had to completely redo my computer, new ss. Yu-Gi-Oh New offering system, all this crap I have had since then, four video calls with my therapist and other appointments and stuff like that. Not a single fricking problem. In fact, I believe you and I recorded at least two, maybe three podcasts last week. I mean a week before. Yu-Gi-Oh absolutely. Zero problems whatsoever. And now it decides, you know what? Go to hell. We're going to kick you right out. Typical technology, right? Yu-Gi-Oh But Yu-Gi-Oh so getting back to the guy who sold 62, 000 worth of Pokemon con Pokemon cards. Recording, right? Yu-Gi-Oh Yes we are. Yep. Yu-Gi-Oh we're recording. Yep. So this guy named shane, he was 37 of no fixed abode, I guess address, which means he's probably homeless. Was sentenced to 45 months and four weeks in prison a couple weeks ago after pleading guilty to burglary with intent to steal, which I mean, if you're homeless, I don't think you really give a crap if you're being sentenced to 45 months in jail because hey, That's a roof over your head and you got three. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, you. You just got yourself a free hotel stay. It's not very nice hotel, but you just got yourself a nice hostel hotel stay for 45 months. Well, 45 months and four weeks. Literally, it's 46 months. But Yu-Gi-Oh He joins his brother, though. Go figure. His brother from Birmingham, who was sentenced to 29 months in prison at the same court on July 2 after admitting the same offenses. Yu-Gi-Oh the apple doesn't fall far from that tree, Yu-Gi-Oh So, according to the police department, the pair targeted celestial collectibles, a shop which specializes in rare and high value Pokemon trading cards among other items. On the evening of April 8, officers were alerted to the breakin after reports at the shop during the store window was being smashed and the store was being ransacked. The police entered the shop through the broken door and discovered Pokemon cards strewn across the Fleer A crowbar used to smash the door, window, shelving and canvas were recovered from the scene by investigators. Pokemon cards to the value of $62,000 were stolen and damage in excess of $3,000 was caused to the shop. The police said that CCTV revealed a white Ford transit van was used in the burglary, but the vehicle was on a cloned number plate. The van, which traveled from Birmingham to Warrington on the day of the incident, had previously been captured parked outside Keith's address. You dumbass idiot. Footage showed the van had broken down in Warrington and the brothers had to patch auto down one road and onto another. Okay. Where there was another van waiting to which had been traveled up from Birmingham. Dear. What the hell? You pushed the van down to another van and then left in that van. Okay, sure. The brothers transferred the stolen goods into the other van, which was later found parked near Shane's address. Oh, you guys are stupid. The brothers also used a crowbar to break into the graded gallery in rugby and stole various items, including Pokemon, before leaving in a Nissan x trail. According to the police, the total stock stolen and damaged caused was more than $9,000. The two men were arrested and officers discovered stolen property belonged to celestial collectibles, among other items, at Keith's address. Police said that the overwhelming evidence collected through their intensive inquiries put both put them both at the crime scenes, giving them no choice but to plead guilty. The brothers will have now to pay the price for their part in a criminal Pokemon enterprise, which. I highly doubt these guys give a. I mean, it's clear that there is very, very little. Yu-Gi-Oh Brain cells going on. And I mean, Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh that's. Oh my gosh. Yep, it's. I mean, stupid is right. However, that's not the only person in England that decided to be a douchebag. You see Pokemon cards raid. A Pokemon card raid leaves the shop owner heartbroken. The shop owner says that says she had been left devastated and heartbroken after a stock worth thousands of dollars was stolen. The break in happened at the trading cards Greensboro just after 3:15 on Sunday, July or sorry, Sunday, August 9th. Camera A CCT CCTV camera filmed two people getting into the Lord street shop through a smashed window. The co owner Tony said Pokemon cards worth $4,000 were taken. Police said. We understand incidents like this can be upsetting for business owners and customers alike. We are committed to supporting the victim while carrying out a thorough investigation. The footage shows. The footage, sorry, shows the pair pulling a display wall containing trading cards from its fittings and dragging it across the Fleer The display, which the store said had recently arrived from Japan, contained single and graded Pokemon cards. The owner said the business was facing a bill for damage estimated at thousands of dollars. While as for the lost stock, taking something off someone, taking something off someone who's worked really hard to get to where they are just so you can make a quick bit of money is disgusting, she said. We're all in disbelief, shock. The emotions are riding really high. I'm trying to hold it together because I'll do an. I'll do nothing but cry. It's very hard to put into words without bursting into tears or getting angry. Police are appealing for anyone with cctv, dash cam or doorbell footage from the area to get in touch. For specialist shops such as this, stock often represents years of investment and dedication and the effects of theft can be felt far beyond the immediate financial cost. Crimes of this nature can have a significant impact on local businesses, particularly independent retailers, causing substantial financial loss and disrupt disruption. Yu-Gi-Oh the, the problem is insurance is a pain in the ass no matter where you are in the world, especially when it comes to stuff like Pokemon or. And well, anything collectible really, you see, because, for instance, singles or even graded cards. It's my understanding that insurance companies will give you what you paid for it and you have to show proof that you paid for, you know, X amount of dollars for that. For instance, let's say you bought a graded card for a hundred dollars and it's now worth, I don't know, $300. The insurance company doesn't give a. That you lost a $300 card. They're going to give you $100 for that. Because that's what you paid for it. Because today it could be worth $300, but tomorrow it could be worth 400 or it could be worth a hundred. You never know. Insurance company is not going to turn around like, oh, Yu-Gi-Oh today that card's worth $300. Here's $300, because tomorrow it could be worth a lot less. And insurance companies don't like to give out money. I mean, they love to take money. They don't like to give it back out. Yu-Gi-Oh if you bought a box from a wholesaler, for instance, like your distribution, and you paid, you know, $100 for that box, you're going to get $100 for that box. Doesn't matter that that box is worth 150 or whatever, you're getting what you paid. Right. But then that's the thing. Let's say you bought that box for $100 from your wholesaler today. Tomorrow your wholesaler could be selling that box for $150. So, sure, you got your $100 back, but you're still out another $50 to repurchase that box. So it's. It's a pain in the ass. And, and Yu-Gi-Oh it's just, you know, for these morons to make a quick buck, which is pathetic. But finally, a Pokemon shop employee is accused of a card con. So instead of someone smashing and grabbing stores, it's the actual freaking employee. You see, when Ryan street opened a new Pokemon card store, he needed a whole new team to get the job done. He was counting on new workers, new stock, and a new store manager. He didn't count on a Pokemon happening right under his nose, though. Or for the alleged culprit to open a competing store. He goes on to say that it was very blatant. The owner of the General Games has. As he pours through the CCTV footage, he's not even trying to hide it. He goes on to say the owner is talking about Jonathan Tai, who worked as the general manager, or, sorry, as the manager of his general game shop at High Point in Melbourne's northwest area. Footage from the security room shows that Ty allegedly taking and counting $500 in $50 notes from the A safe. So, you know, Yu-Gi-Oh bills. $50 bills. He notes down the details, allegedly claiming to be buying cards from a customer worth that amount. Okay, Yu-Gi-Oh sure. Gotta take money out of the safe to pay for Pokemon content or buy merchandise or whatever. However, it's alleged that the customer was another staff member. Huh, that's interesting. And according to the Owner, the cards were only worth a fraction of the price. Okay. Between the two of them, they split the money. So she took $250 and he took $250. So these two employees split $500. He confronted the staff member and after agreeing to be recorded, admitted to what happened on tape. He goes on to say he was like, I'll bump it up if you give me half. Said the former employee, who we have chosen not to identify in this. I kind of agreed because, I don't know, I was kind of scared of him. He would say things like, if you tell anyone, I'll just cut your shifts. And he knew that I'm in the main. I'm the main person for my family that has to provide. Honestly, I was kind of scared. Speaking about individual Pokemon cards, they said, the worst I've done is I've taken singles from for him. Depending on their condition, Pokemon cards can sell us for as little as a few dollars each or for millions of dollars in some cases. Right now, of course, you know, Logan Paul set the world record selling his Pikachu illustrator card. Blah, blah, blah. In the recording of the unidentified staff member, she claims that Ty, her former manager, took a quote, unquote, big stack. He was kind of bragging like, oh, I'm going to make so much money off of this, she claimed. But, like, I stayed silent because I was scared of him. The owner alleges that Ty stole his stock to help start a competing business. It's very clear to us that he's used the money and the product that he's stolen to contribute to opening his own business, a competing business down the street. That business is called Collector's Dynasty, a business name that Ty registered before he was fired from General Games. Yu-Gi-Oh When someone paid a visit to the store, Ty was alone behind the counter. He claimed to have nothing to do with the business before asking the person to leave. I've got nothing to do with the business. I'm just standing behind the damn counter. Oh, my gosh. They go on and say, this is not my business, he said, before shutting the door on our camera crew. That's crazy. It's public records. Yu-Gi-Oh that's crazy. I mean, for instance, like, I'm in Canada. You can look up my public records to show that or to see that I own a business here in Collingwood. You know, it's an online business, but I legitimately own a business here in our town. It's all public knowledge. Yu-Gi-Oh You know, you. You. You claim you have nothing to do with this business. As you're standing behind the counter of said business and then claim that it's not your business as you shut the door on a camera crew, do they not realize that? Or does he not realize that? The guy can probably just pull his phone, look up who's the owner of Blank Store and boom. There's your frickin name, dumbass. Yu-Gi-Oh seriously. However, the records tell a different story, right? Johnson Tai is the registered registered to business name Collector's Dynasty in March. That was canceled in July, one month after Collector's Dynasty was reborn as a company. He registered the business name and then canceled it and turned it into a actual company. Its two biggest shareholders are another employee fired from General Games and a woman who shares the same address as Ty. Probably a girlfriend or something, or maybe a wife. The owner has made a report to the Victoria police, but fears his former staffer may get away. In a statement, investigators said that the crime Investigation Unit detectors are investigating a report of deception at a game store which occurred over a six month period from January of 2026. And of course the investigation remains ongoing. Oh, you stupid, stupid people. I, I, I, I, I always get shocked with how stupid the public is. But then like I don't, I shouldn't be shocked. I should actually know this by now, not get amazed by what people do. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, just goes to show from like our three stories today, common sense is not very common. Nope. It's a gift to have common. It's actually a gift to have privilege to have common sense. Yu-Gi-Oh Oh God. But on that note, we're gonna look at the Gen 5 pick for each of us for our Pokedex. So for today, I Beckett a Pokemon not because, well, kind of because of the Pokedex entry, but mostly because of Pokemon Za. You see, in Pokemon Za, when you cock back your arm to throw a Pokeball at this Pokemon, it becomes happy and excited and will jump around and, and jump for joy and come running towards you. It wants to be caught. I didn't know that. I never caught it on doesn't matter what Pokemon. Yu-Gi-Oh now I gotta get it. It doesn't matter what Pokeball. You can use even a standard Pokeball. If you back to throw your Pokeball at a rubbish, it will become excited and want to be caught by you. I guess because it's trash. It's trash nobody wants, right? However, after reading the Pokedex entry, I can see why people don't want trash. You see, because inhaling the gas, the gas that they belch will make you sleep for a week. And they prefer unsanitary places. Oh, no wonder they're freaking excited to try and be caught. Because who the hell wants. Well, I mean, if you really need a nap and you want to get knocked out for a week, that's a hell of a way to do it. Yu-Gi-Oh that's. But you know, they're like unsanitary places at the same time, so. Oh, no. It's nasty. Yu-Gi-Oh A hoarder's house or something. Yu-Gi-Oh So they're hoarding house. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Oh, God. But what did you pick for your Pokedex? So mine's completely kind of random, but when I saw it, I still. To this, they don't even know what the heck it's supposed to be. I think it's like a little like a. What do you call it? A Sasquatch type Pokemon, I guess. The one. The one I chose. And I chose it because the Pokedex entry is just. It's funny. It's from White. I hope I pronounce its name right. The little red ape like thing. It looks okay. Yep. So that thing. So in. In the white Pokedex, right, it says, doru Maka's droppings are hot. So people use to put them in their clothes to keep themselves warm. So basically it said a joke on next to this. It says, long before Beckett warmers, ancient people in the Unova region apparently survives survived harsh winters by stuffing pumpkin hot Pokemon poop in their jackets. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean, hand in hand with Trubbish, I mean, those two might get along real freaking well. How does it match? Made in heaven. That's. That's why I Beckett it. I'm like, they're both awful. Yu-Gi-Oh I mean. I mean, back then, I mean, imagine Pokemon Pooh. Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh Oh, God. Yu-Gi-Oh I don't think we'll forget the. The Pokedex entry for these two. Yu-Gi-Oh that's a. That's an interesting one. And finally our picks that makes you pass out. Yep. Right? Yu-Gi-Oh And then. Yu-Gi-Oh So you get knocked out for a week. And then on the flip side, if you don't want to freeze the dusty gas, stick poop in your pockets. Okay. Yu-Gi-Oh sure, that's a great time to be alive. Right. But finally our picks for the poke or for the binders for diamond and Pearl, which ironically, when I was searching for this card or for this set, I thought, there's no way in hell we're still in diamond and Pearl. And I realized there's a crap ton of freaking sets. And. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh we are in diamond and Pearl. It's crazy. And I. I've been. I've been getting catching up on cards too. So, Yu-Gi-Oh I've been having fun doing that. But I Beckett this Pokemon not because of the moves or anything like that. I mean, the moves are relatively okay for what it is and for the HP and everything. However, I Beckett it simply because it's our very first technical. I'm gonna say technical steel type Pokemon for our Pandora Oh, okay. So the only other steel type Pokemon that we have had is the Nidoran in Delta Species. However, I'm not counting that as a steel type because Nidoran technically is not a steel type. It's just changed to a steel type because of the whole Delta Species things. This is our first legit steel type. And I Beckett Steelix, number 38 of the 130 set. I mean, kind of interesting that it evolves from Onyx back in the day. I mean, how the hell do you go from rock to like pressurized metal? That's actually harder than any other metal. However, the moves are kind of weird. I mean, for one energy or. Well, for one metal energy, you flip two coins, the attack does 30 damage times the number of heads, which, I mean, two times 30, 60, you know, could do 60 damage for two coins. For one energy. Not bad. However, you know, for two steel type energies and two colorless energies, for metal slash does 100 damage, which is relatively significant considering it only has 100 and 10 HP to begin with. So you're almost hitting for damn near what your Pokemon has. However, the downside is you can't attack during your next turn. So you do 100 damage either. Well, plus or minus 20. Whether it's. It's got a advantage for the weakness or a disadvantage for the resistance. But then you can't attack the next turn. And if you want to retreat, it's four freaking energies. So. Which is insane. Which is insane. Which. I mean, it's a good Pokemon. It's just you. You really gotta freaking set yourself up or you're screwed with this guy. But Yu-Gi-Oh I Beckett it simply because it's our first legit steel type. And Yu-Gi-Oh you know what? We're. We're like, I think when I looked at the Pandora like four or five pages in now, maybe six pages in. I know it's pretty. It's our first steel type. Like, I mean, now, mind you, we haven't had steel type until relatively this time, right? Yu-Gi-Oh the only one we. I mean, the only one we had early, early on in the whole series was Steelix, I believe. Right. And Jodo, That's. That's it for. For a while. Well, I mean, Yu-Gi-Oh in. In Pokemon itself. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh No, not, not in a Pandora just. Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh I think Steelix in Johto, I think it was. It was just Steelix for a while. Yu-Gi-Oh Because Donphan and all that was ground type. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh for a while. Yu-Gi-Oh Geez. I. I can't remember when we had Beldan or Beldam. That was either Unova or the one after it. Yu-Gi-Oh So Yu-Gi-Oh I think, Yu-Gi-Oh I think Steelix was one of our earliest Steel type Pokemons for a long time too. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh But what did you pick for the diamond and Pearl set? So I chose a baby that was new to the era, new to the whole. To the whole franchise at the time. I remember this Pokemon coming out a lot because I had a friend in high school that when diamond and Pearl came out, I was actually, I believe either. I think I was a freshman or a sophomore. Anyways, a friend of mine was obsessed over this Pokemon. Kept drawing it in class and Whatnot. Drawing other Pokemon and Whatnot during class. I chose the Munchlax. It's card number 33 of 130 simply because of the memories I have with it of it in school with a friend getting all excited. Oh, Snorlax has a baby Evolution. And just made me think of that. Speaking of baby evolution, that's the pokey power it has, which. Yu-Gi-Oh basically what it did was once during your turn before your attack, you may put Snorlax from your hand into onto Munchlax. This counts as evolving Munchlax and remove all damage counters from Munchlax. So you would be able to basically heal your Pokemon plus evolve it into Snorlax. It did have only one move for a 60 HP Pokemon. It only took one energy one. One colorless energy. And it was 30 times if you had to discard two cards from your hand. And then if you can't discard two cards, this attack does nothing. But you would if you could discard two cards, flip two coins. This attack does 30 damage times the number of heads. So honestly, it was a pretty decent attack. I mean if you got heads, it was even better. But Yu-Gi-Oh I chose that mainly because of the memories I have with it. The. The picture itself is very bland. You can totally tell with the diamond and Pearl era cards that they're just literally like photoshopped into a background. Well, at least mine is mine. Mine's definitely The Steel X isn't as bad, I feel, but, like, I'm gonna look at it, but mine, definitely. Yu-Gi-Oh the Steel X is as bad. Looks like actual. An art background, but mine looks like it was inserted into a photo. Yu-Gi-Oh But, Yu-Gi-Oh I chose the memories I have with it and that it's one of the newer baby evolutions, other than Cleffa, because Cleffa was. We had Cleffa in the Pandora before. So now this is what the second baby evolution we have, I believe. Yu-Gi-Oh I believe so. And the Pandora Yu-Gi-Oh so, Yu-Gi-Oh that's why I chose it. Mainly just the memories with it and it being a new Pokemon in Diamond and Pearl. Yu-Gi-Oh All righty. That's an interesting pick.
