I had to cancel the thing on Saturday because I had no voice. Almost in the middle of the day. I thought I was getting sick. I didn't know what it was. Terrible. Oh, wait, that's just the case. Sorry. The lens is broken. That's the camera. Put something else on the back screen because. Oh, there's not going to be a back screen. The video is there. They one-of-one see any of that. They one-of-one just see me and you, like, boxed off. Yu-Gi-Oh exactly. Okay, well, we're back from the national. It was. It was a great trip. It was a freaking long trip. A lot of crap. Yu-Gi-Oh Excellent stuff. A lot of moving parts. The show was ridiculous. I thought it was excellent overall. Yu-Gi-Oh right. I mean, here's the thing. It was my favorite show. My favorite show I've been to, it was my six one. I thought it was my fifth, but after doing the math, it's the year 2026. The first one was 2021. So, Yu-Gi-Oh sixth show. I honestly thought we had a national in 21. We only missed one with COVID Yu-Gi-Oh well, 2020, I wouldn't have gone because we hadn't even started the pod yet. 2021 is the first one we went to. Okay. We didn't. We. I don't think we ever actually missed a show like a national. No, no, we haven't. I thought they missed. I thought they canceled one post. Covid. Still, I could have been the 2021. Yu-Gi-Oh Okay, that makes sense. But Yu-Gi-Oh that being said, it was the best show I've been to. I did more wheeling and dealing, buying and selling than I've ever done on all the other one. I felt like the amount of attention was. Tell me this, do you feel like you got more People coming up to you and saying something than other shows. Like past shows, you probably. We had a setup this time though. There's been years we've had no booth or had like a table randomly. This time we had like a full massive build out sign hanging from the ceiling. It was easy. Camera crew find. Yu-Gi-Oh But I 25 grand get you some nice crap. I'm just gonna say that. Here's what's really interesting though. Going and walking the Fleer which I finally did on Saturday. Saturday afternoon I finally got to walk the Fleer That's where I noticed the like it wasn't. Because yes, the whole time you're at the booth, people are coming up and they know who we are and it's cool. But walking the Fleer I'm going around to these tables and it was like 99% sports tables, right? Because there's really not, I would say a handful of non sport tables out there. But I go up to these sports tables and I'd be like, hey, you guys have any Disney. You know, do you have any Disney cards? You have any Disney cards? With a slight embarrassment in your tone. Good. No, I'd be like, hey, Disney cards. Cool. Yu-Gi-Oh Kids here. That's a weird thing. World. I But it would be like, hey, Jesse or S.C.N. or you know, something like that. And I'd be like, Yu-Gi-Oh that's interesting. I just, I was not used to that many people saying something that actually knew who I was. Sports card related tables. Well, there you go. My big. I will tell you my biggest takeaway. Wednesday was the busiest Wednesday of any card show ever up at that place. Wednesday used to be the dealer setup. Our day. Wednesday, chill, relax thing. Yu-Gi-Oh We got there at Wednesday at 8:00am and me, Jeremy, my dad, there was like 10 of us back there. It was slammed on Wednesday, which never ever happens. Yu-Gi-Oh Thursday was unreal. I will tell you though, Friday, Saturday, I think we're just on par with the last two or three. There's nothing outstanding about those two days. Great days. You mean like just people wise? Yu-Gi-Oh people. Yu-Gi-Oh people wise, the whole thing. Very, very busy. But again, I think every year it's like, oh, this is the biggest and best the Wednesday, Thursday this year were bigger than years past. Friday, Saturday were just unbelievably slammed like they are every single year. It was not a noticeable difference to me, which I thought was fine. I don't. Here's my thing. It's like I don't really notice the difference on Friday and Saturday as well. But what I did notice it just. It was a continual. There was never a lull in the amount of people. Like at least I wasn't there on Sunday. But I mean, usually I feel like. When did you get there? I got there at 1 on Wednesday. Oh, that was when. Okay, sorry. So I. But from that point it was just the same constant stream of traffic. And it was even like 5, 6 o'. Clock. People are starting to go over to trade nights and stuff. I never noticed the lull. I think you have to be there till like seven or eight. Trade nights. Insane, by the way. And it shuts down at 6pm one-of-one Just lined up. You're down. But it's still up until that final minute. They are kicking people out. I was trying to kick people out of the show. Like, hey, go tell the guy to leave. Yu-Gi-Oh Wednesday, by the way, before you even got to the show. Oh, I saw. No, I was there when that happened. It had just happened. Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Okay. Because I think the doors open for VIPs at 1 o'. Clock. And that's about when you got there. Yu-Gi-Oh Brady, who apparently is fairly local to us. Brady heard me say something with that. He told me too. He's like, no joke. I walked in, first table he stopped at. He happened to come across the 2001 sign of the Times Terrell Davis card. I've been looking at this for this card for nine years. That now 300. I paid him 100 for the card and I gave him the two. I mentioned $200 bounty on the show. Oh, I don't think he even knew about that. I should have kept the money. That was my. That's a flop. That's a fool by me. I. I was pumped. Like. That is the set. That is it. I. That completes the set. For nine years. I was very. What are you gonna do now that you have them all? Like, are you gonna display it at all? I do the same thing I do with all the cards I keep. I'll keep in a box. And once every two or three weeks I'll break it out and I'll have a nice little. I'll play some music, a little Rod Stewart, maybe deep cuts, drink a little vermouth, have a little cry. Yu-Gi-Oh I actually got a few of the cards I specifically mentioned. I mentioned that card. I mentioned this card by name the other day. 1993. Finest Refractor, Lawrence Larry Joe Bird. Look at him now. I wanted a PSA 10 non auto. I also wanted the PSA 10 auto. This is the PSA 10 auto version. 600 bucks auto graded. Rated. Correct. Just the graded auto. Oh, it's just the grade. I was also looking for a PSA 10. No auto, just a card. Yu-Gi-Oh there's like 15 in existence. I didn't see one. I was pumped to get that. I also want to get some Tom Brady cards. I did that. The only thing I didn't get on that was on my list, actually. The Bobby or the Brady Heiress, which I'm still convinced doesn't exist. And the Bobby or Rookies. I saw two or three Bobby or Rookies. The pricing on those was egregious, I was going to say, which was a shame, I found, because overall, I thought the pricing was pretty good in the show. Right before I left, I found a Bobby or, and I was curious, did you buy it for me? Well, what's a price that is reasonable? What is that? Bobby or 1966 PSA. What? So it was a SGC. Okay. Authentic. Oh, I don't even know specifically. 1500, maybe two grand. Okay, that's probably high. All right. Well, what was he asking? 5:45. Yu-Gi-Oh that's a joke. You can get like a PSA4 in that version. There you go. Yu-Gi-Oh Nice little card, by the way. I'd actually try to grade that. Well, here's the thing that. That table was out of this world. It was. Oh, it. I think Layton Shelton. Just vintage Layton. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh That latent he had just Beckett up like this. It was like. I think it's not an A1 photo. It says Babe Ruth. It was. Oh, these are the photo. It's the first Yankees, like the first designation on there. But he also had like the Gowdy Babe Ruth. Sure. They got crazy vintage. It was that. That one little card display, probably multiple millions. Yu-Gi-Oh So I think my. My biggest cash deal I've ever made in person at a card show, guy walked up to me with a PSA 8 Michael Jordan, which I believe is now traded. I got to. I got to confirm my DMs after it had a PSA 8. 86 Fleer Michael Jordan. And he had a 1951 Bowman PSA 2. Michael Mantle. 34,000 for the pair. Oh. I then left to do back to back via the ebay show. And then me and you had the PSA grading thing, which we'll talk about that in a little bit. And my dad sold a Mantle for. When I came back after about three hours away from the booth, my dad handed me 43,000. Little more, but 43,000 in cash from sales he had made that's insane. Yu-Gi-Oh He didn't keep it, which was nice. So that is pretty good. The. The. Wait, what did you say? He's going with the Jordan. Then you're trading. I believe I have this. Traded for a Steph Curry 2021 Flawless jumbo patch auto. I'm waiting to hear back. Somebody reached out because I posted it up. Somebody reached out about it. Why? Why do you want that? And say it's just better value, you think or. There's a lot of Jordans, man. Every time you go to a card show, that is my takeaway. There's a lot of these Jordans. They're moving a lot. I took a picture of this. Did you see this guy? So it's kind of hard to see from a distance, but it was just. He had a ton of Jordans in. In this. In this case and some other cases, there were just. Which we know a lot of everybody knows that. But there's also cards that I know have a higher pop or a similar pop, but you don't see because people have them. They're just holding them. Sure. The Jordan market's been on fire. It's just like, man, maybe it's a good card to move. I don't know. We talked about it moving that. So that was pretty cool. Can I share a couple more? I have a couple visual aids. Here's a card I had never, ever seen before. And I think I got an Absolute steal. 2012 Panini elite. Passing the torch is an old school brand. And it would be a front and back and it would be like players that were connected through comparison only. So it'd be like Joe Montana was the great, the goat, the winner in his decade. The other side would be like Tom Brady. Like, that's a card. I believe. Ozzy in baseball. Ozzie Smith and like Derek Jeter, the great short stuff of his time. So this one, the great white hopes so. Lawrence again. Larry. Joe Bird. Do you know who that is? Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh the Mavericks. Got a tall Russian white. Dirk Novitzky. Yes. Believe it's German. Wait, isn't. Was he. He was on. No. Who was the one on Parks and Rec. The one that they. Oh, Detliff Shrimp. No, he Goldin He Goldin handle Larry's jockstrap. So the set is iconic. Anyways, that passing a torch. This is 2012. Bird on the front, Nowitzki on the back. It's a 9, 5, 9, which. The 9 auto on that I'm fine with. Number to 25. I paid 825 for that card. I had two. At least two guys. Probably more, because as soon as I put that out on Saturday, I got that Saturday morning, the amount of guys who asked about it. Dude, what would you take? I was like, there's no comps for years, so make up. I only put it back up to see if somebody wanted to be foolish right off the bat. Thousand bucks. No, twelve hundred. I was like, I'm gonna be honest. I don't think I'd sell for anything. Like, it would take a lot. I got a 1200 and a 1400 dollars offer. And what did you pay for it? 825. 825. I'm never selling that card. I had never seen it with that card. Is. Why did they put. Why did they put Larry on the back? Well, it's actually Ms. A Hasket sent back to Beckett because the card itself. The front of the card should be Bird. It was misled. It was misholdered. Oh, okay. I will send it in. The problem with those front and back cards, though, I don't love things. Great card. That was very excited. This is a random one. I don't know who this is. Jesse did Daniel Van Kirk was on a show called Or. Yu-Gi-Oh what is it? Bob's Burgers. He's done it. He's done, like, an episode of it. It's. I went and had looked him up because he is also buddies with the guy's ne to us. He's never seen the movie. It was very. He was. He's a. He has a Allen and Ginter card that he brought over to Mike. I'm very upset he didn't come over to me. I would have been very excited to have one. I don't think you would be excited to meet him. He had some nasty things to say about. He was wild. I can't even. Honestly. And I don't have much of a filter. I can't repeat the terms, really. He did, though. He met. And by the way, just our setup, if you didn't get to see it, was unreal. Oh, like 10. 10 tables. 1, 2, 3. 10 to 12 tables, probably including the two across and the podcast booth in the huge space in the middle. So we had clever Cuban set up with us. We had the ball card show guys. Gary and Jason. Jesse. Jesse and. And the. I'm not comfortable saying the Lizzy Gang. Yu-Gi-Oh I'm not gonna. What, you and your hot dog pervert. We'll talk. Somebody actually lovingly referred to BJ Kroger in a video as Jesse's girlfriend. I thought that was pretty kind of funny. Somebody please don't talk about that. We're never going to talk about that again. Oh, Dalen and Amanda. Junk Wax. Vintage. They're so awesome. If you want the epitome of a positive person who, when the camera goes on, just takes over the show. By the way, on the friggin ebay main page today. He's in the commercial. As he should Beckett. Like that guy we had Gordy Bonker set up with. Vintage. We had. Oh, Trent Jetbreakers, Alex's co host. Trent was set up. Brandon and his fiance. Not my wife. I'll tell you that story in a minute. Set up also Alex's buddy. And then the Mojo guys. Yep, it was freaking awesome. Chris Thomas too, at Attaboy Card set up for a day or two when he was there. That was pretty cool. You know Brendan. Brendan is Alex's buddy with the beard. The young guy, Alex's buddy with the beard. He always comes to the Nashville show with us. He brings his wife, his fiancee. Short, short girl. Yu-Gi-Oh We're sitting at the table. She just happened to be sitting next to one point and talking to some fan or whatever. Oh, is this your wife? She goes, no. And I was like, in your freaking dream, sweetheart. You should be so. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh You know what? Not a chance. Anyways, we had an awesome team there. Like Jeremy and Chris were there. Brendan, the whole gang. Alan was there, Brendan. Shane was running around with me all day. Zach is Jeremy's son, right? Zach was an mvp. Awesome. He was like Jeremy's brother. Not much use, quite frankly. Josh is a nice guy. I don't know what he did to help us, but that's fine. I don't. Was Josh supposed to help us? No. Okay. Because he was great. I mean, it was nice. Honestly. Zach and Geo got everything done. Physically, it needed to be done. It was great. Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh for sure. A camera guy named Tad. When you hear a name like Tad, you think immediately, just a total donkey. Tad was a great guy. Well, T, you've never met a Tad in real life. You're like, oh, that's a nice guy. Tad is like a. I would think of Tad as like somebody who works with their dad because their dad got him a job somewhere. You know, Tad's like a. He's on the teat for life. That's a Tad. Not this Tad. Too tall for the teat. Guy was a giant. Two Tads don't make a. We actually got some really good Fleer footage. We Got a ton of studio footage, so there'll be stuff coming up. We did a lot this week. There'll be a ton more coming up throughout the week, but that was cool. Last two stories and I'll leave it alone. I just did last of my pickups. I only brought a few I don't want to bring. Yu-Gi-Oh I brought home a Full Zion case that was empty. And then we had to buy that stupid cushion case because a guy came up and sold me a lot. I was like, I'm only buying it if I get the case therein, because it was one row of it and I need the other row. We almost had to check a bag. That's how much we brought home. Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh You don't check bags. I didn't have to this time. Well, Tim drove all my stuff. Oh, that's right. This is kind of a story, just as this is a piece of a lot. 1998 Finest Randy Mosaic came up, him and his son. Son was probably 12 years old. They had these two cards, PSA 10s, and they're just a stack of Rock Hobie rookies. And I was like, so what are you guys asking? They knew nothing about cards. I don't know how they got the cards. They were like, first time at a show, don't know anything about it, huh? And I was like, all right, let me just do this. Then he's like, well, can we get like 225 for the masses? I was like, no, but I'll give you 280. Do they. Do they know comps? No, not at all. They have no way of looking. I explained to them, by the way, after I showed them, as I was doing a card ladder. Yu-Gi-Oh And I told the young guy, I was like, dude, by the way, only 12 year old who didn't have a phone with him. He's like, no, it's in the car. They don't know cards, no phone. Maybe serial killer. It's really nice of you to have not just taken advantage of them because you know there's gonna be people who would have. Oh. They said, they're like, we did sell one card for 200 bucks. I would love to know what that card was. Yu-Gi-Oh exactly. But I got a but. Yu-Gi-Oh Other than that, this was an interesting example of somebody having cards and not knowing what it was. Mm. I will say I was very proud of our community of weirdos as a whole when people came up, hey, here's what I have. Here's kind of a price. Here's some recent comps here's some of the context. In general, I felt like it was by far the most educated group of people I had dealt with at a card show. I will say that I love, by the way, that's sustainable. To me, something that came across from a lot of different guys was everybody seems much more educated than they did in previous years. Yu-Gi-Oh And even like on. On somewhat nuanced stuff. Hey, this car just sold for 800 bucks. Sure. But last week it did this and the week before, like, there was even more, like, context with some stuff like that, which I think is very good. Like, I think the more the public in the space educates themselves, the more you can have a run. So I got the couple birds and I'm going right in the PC box. Two other cards that I bought to PC. We had talked about this before. The Tops Kaiju. This came out of 2025 Topps Chrome. The Kaiju was a new thing this year. First time it's come out. First time it's licensed. Awesome card. They look freaking ridiculous in person. I don't know why they're numbered. No, not number. Just unbelievably hard to hit. How much is it? So those things, when they first came out, we pulled a few too. Oh, they're. They were doing like, I mean, depending on the name, but Brady was doing 20,000. That's crazy. And it was like, man, I really want this card because I have the same feeling about that card as I have about the planets and cosmic. Like, the first time Brady had his run, I was like, man, I really want to buy these. Tell me that's come down to like 5,000. So, Yu-Gi-Oh do you want to. 20,000 bucks. Couple graded PSA 10s. Originally sold for like 30 and 40. Crazy money. Yu-Gi-Oh We're now a few months removed. I bought that card for either 62 or 6300. It's on video somewhere. It's like 6300 bucks. It's probably a nine. Has a Downtown bit on the back. So I don't think it'll 10, but Zebra nice card like that card in the showcase. And I had that. I had my son. Two showcases left was just stuff for trade. Here's all my PCs if I brought just to trade up with. I did a few other one is just for sale. Whatever. I left that in the middle of the PC tray. The amount of guys who came up and even that one, like I told people too. I was like, hey, I'll just say I don't really want to move it. I Just bought it to keep. I paid 60 again. 300. I had two guys. And again, I can't remember now too for sure. They both offered at least 7,500. I thought one of them even said 8,000. Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh But I was like, no, I'm keeping it. Oh. And the one guy even made the point of like, oh, you don't want to make a quick. I was like, I don't. I really want the card. Yu-Gi-Oh like it was the only one I even saw on the Fleer I'm sure there were others. I didn't walk every table. But that to me, the making of a great national, like buying and selling is great. That's cool. But did you pull some stuff away from it? The Gronk thing is obviously the sentimental big piece. But I bought that Brady. I also bought this Brady, which I was Zebra pumped about. I'll show the crowd here. 2003. So 2003 Topps Chrome, Tom Brady Black Refractor. It's number two one. It's number to 599. It's a PSA 10. Now this is an interesting one. That card never comes up. The pop is stupid. Stupid. I don't remember that. Crazy low pop. Second year he's ever had Topps Chrome. Then of course you. I mean, his third year in the league. Anyways, there was one comp in the last six months. It was a few months ago. It did 4700. I paid exactly 4700. The cool thing though, Tim was actually one of the show promoters for. For the Wisconsin Dell show we went to years ago. Oh Yu-Gi-Oh they brought us up sponsored. They were awesome. He had just that morning gotten back the 2002 Topps Chrome of that card. First year PSA 10 does about 50 to 60,000. Wowzer. Which I knew when I saw it, I was like, I think this is 50 grand. Yu-Gi-Oh I was just like, that's another one of these car. I see his kabooms and downtowns and kaijus and all these other things doing it. Granted, there's more of those, but not in the wild. Yu-Gi-Oh I paid 4700. Maybe 48. I'm going to. Hey, the last comp plus 100. So 47 or $4800. I was pumped. So how much would you say you bought for flipping, like total dollar amount? Oh, I mean, that one deal alone for the Jordan Mantle was 34,000. The case deal was 3,000. We spent a minimum of 100 grand total. Like there were just so many cards. There was at least 5 to 10 Ohtani cards that were between 800 and 1200 a piece. Another 10 to 15,000 there. Yu-Gi-Oh the Mahomes. I bought a Mahomes PSA 10 that was like 2500 bucks. Like, even just. It's like that little Randy Moss deal with the kids was like a. Not anymore. It's like a $500 deal. There was a lot. Yu-Gi-Oh I would say. I would say cash out of hand, probably close to a hundred thousand dollars. That's crazy. Yu-Gi-Oh It was. It was a lot I went through. I did a video showing most of the stuff that I got already, but it was. I got what I wanted when I went. Before I was set out for this shit this trip, I wanted to get one of these Buzz Lightyear Lorcana cards. I got one of those. A lot of this. I'm going. I'm going to go into more detail on hobby nonsense this week. I know this is not. I got the national EQL packs each day that you did. So you rip them. I ripped some and I sold some. Those things are smoking hot. At the show I got on Wednesday, I did not. I guess, like, you could have gotten it early on Wednesday. Did not get it that day. But I did get them on Friday or Thursday and Friday, Saturday I was going to sign. I was like on my way to do it. And then we were like about to do an interview. It was like 10:45 at the time. And then our guests didn't show is the whole thing. And next thing I know, it's like 10:07. I look down and I missed the EQL so that stink. But if you could get one, it was going insane. So if you could get a basketball one. The first day I got the basketball on Thursday, I got Whatnot and paid for it. You're paying like 300, maybe 330 or something on the EQL after fees and everything. I walked out of line after getting my box and a guy's like, did you get basketball? It's like, Yu-Gi-Oh 600 bucks. No, he's like 450 if you're buy. If you want to sell it. And I was just like, okay, sure. And I didn't. I was so. There was so much going on at that show, I didn't even think twice about. But there was no one else out there buying on that day. It wasn't a. It wasn't as big of a thing. Now, granted, there could have been. Maybe I did miss it. But the next day I went out and it was like someone said, 500 bucks. Another guy said 550. And the guy's like, another guy heard it and he's like, go over there, go. Go over to Blowout. They're just paying 580. And it's like literally two steps away. I was like, oh, okay. And at this point the Cooper flag Zebra Auto had already been pulled and I was like, oh, well, Yu-Gi-Oh I'm going to go ahead and move it because I mean, I know there's other big hits, but I didn't think there would be something as big. And I figured those prices would come down. I don't know if they've come down, but it was weird that it wasn't like that for basketball or really anything else, or I'm sorry, football or anything else. Football was going forward. No one was buying it except Steel city. They paid 300. And I think the EQL after fees, you were still paying like 265. So you're barely breaking even. I don't know if anybody was buying any of the other ones just outright. I did end up getting a WWE and I did not one-of-one a wrestling or a Star wars one, but I did buy one from somebody. He's like, here, just pay me what I paid for it. And I was, oh, that's fine. Which was actually not bad because I did pull like and out of. Oh, you ripped that one yourself. Yu-Gi-Oh I ripped that one and I ripped the WWE one. I've pulled a few hits like the, like Carmelo Hayes I think is the wwe. I didn't know who he was. It wasn't a big enough name that I was recognizable. Recognizable to me. So I went ahead and sent it over to dc, sent that and like most of the Star wars stuff because it wasn't anything giant. And when I say giant, it's like you get an out of 5 or an out of 10 usually out of a product and you're like, you're pretty psychedelic. For national product. It's a little weird though. Yu-Gi-Oh it's just a weird because it's like if you don't move it there, you can, you can pretty much guarantee like a few days, maybe a week or so afterward. It's gonna, it's not a real hobby. Yu-Gi-Oh It's just a different product. Yu-Gi-Oh But there's, trust me, I mean I also get. There's still people out there willing to pay at least something for them. So I did drop those off at dc. The other stuff, I ended up getting like some good deals on a few different non sport things. I'm trying to think the poo holes Yu-Gi-Oh man card you got me. That's probably, like, my only sports card I got. So that was a cool story, dude. We got to do a live event on stage with the Mo. The Mojo guys. Sold by the pack on ebay live. A box of 2003 Topps Chrome basketball. One dude bottoms the whole, like, half of it. And they were going cheap. Like, he probably only has a few thousand bucks. Hit a. Hit a LeBron rookie out of that, which was cool. That's awesome. But Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh man was sitting next to us, by the way. That was great. First question of the interview. Interview. Like, we're commentating as they're ripping. I was like, man, so you in the hobby at all? You collecting? No, no, no. I was like, okie doke. He just comes out because they, like, pay for his money and he's fun to be. Yu-Gi-Oh So he was, though, in 2011, Allen and Ginter. So as those packs were just being sold all at once, we were ripping Allen and Ginter. He pulled his own card. Oh, that's cool. And he was just signing crap and throwing it to the crowd. But I was like, all right, I got to get him to sign. So I got a Mickey Mantle SCN auto from him. And you got the pool host, which was kind of neat. Yu-Gi-Oh he was fun. He was actually pretty chill. He was at the. The night we did Thursday night, right? Is that what it was? Thursday. Mojo party. Mojo. Mojo breaks Pete's Piano Bar. By the way, awesome location. Did you come last year or the year before there? Was that your first time? No, I've been there once or twice. Okay. Me and Tim walked there once years ago, like, end of the night. I don't even know why I was still up with Tim, because normally he doesn't sell late. I don't say late. We walked in there one year. This was like four years ago. I bet everybody who works for Tops, that was the only people in the place. Yu-Gi-Oh like, big. Everybody was in there. Was that. Was I with you on that one? It was just us. And I was in Tim new. But I was like, this is a gold mine. Like, this is. This was great. Yu-Gi-Oh well, that was a lot of fun. I saw my alt art See, people think I exaggerate my. I. I exaggerate and lie about a lot of things. Sure. My arm strength and. And throwing accuracy is unparalleled. When you hit that light, I hit the pole above, but that wasn't my fault. When I was throwing BCW supplies yesterday, I was dropping dimes like it was. It's uncanny how terrible the catching community is in this community. Like the people, the ability the community. I did hit a guy I was throwing for his son and I hit a stranger next to him. But good news is he was not injured. No paper cuts. That's fine. Incurred. We went to Shoeless Joe's. Now this was a funny story. Shoeless Joe's is like we walked with me and Geo yesterday or not yesterday. Excuse me. Saturday night. That was Eddie's party. This was Eddie's part. He calls an SCN party. It's. Yes. He paid for everything. He does the whole thing. Yes. There was like. It was a private room. Huge. There was like 35 of us back there. They sent us one waitress. Her name was Carol. Carol is, I'm gonna guess 45 to 50 years old, hustling. Also Juan who was just running dishes and helping. But when we walked in. You're in a convention with guys all week. We walk in and there was three waitresses who. The best way to describe them is if they didn't work at Shoeless Joe's based on their physical looks and their attire, they would be Hooters waitresses. You understand what I'm saying? Yes. So I immediately walk in. I'm like, oh, I'm sure they see this room full of guys in a private room. The rest of the restaurant is pretty slow. Surely they're gonna be in here helping. And Eddie' crazy generous. Anyways, everybody else is going to tip him. I asked him at one point, I was like, hey, are you three helping with this? Because I could use a drink. Literally a diet Coke. No, it's just carrot attitude. And I was like, wait a minute here. Yu-Gi-Oh I went and talked to Eddie. This is petty, but I don't care. I told Eddie, I was like, hey, just to be clear, the three good looking ones think they're better than us. Card guys. That was all that Needed to be said. I'm going to go out in a limb and say, carol Juan and I forget the other girl's name. Made about a thousand each. And when we got them together at the end, Eddie was like, by the way, here's another stack of money. This is a gift, not a tip. This is not to be shared with anybody but you three. We made it very pronounced that. I was very glad to hear that. So did Eddie gave away like 30 grand in product or something at that thing? Eddie ripped a transcendent case. Chris Campbell hit an OTANI audit of 25, 15,000 bucks. Yu-Gi-Oh he ripped a Tribute case. He paid for all the food, stupid. Nice. We're gonna do it again next year. Campbell, that card was 15,000 and you come begging for $200 for me, bro. Yu-Gi-Oh dude, Yu-Gi-Oh What happened? I wasn't begging. I'm giving a hard time. But I sold him a. So I found. Once I found the buzz card that I was looking for, there was a Buzz and Woody card I had bought because I didn't think I was going to find the buzz. And I was like, oh, Yu-Gi-Oh I'll sell it. I hadn't inspected it. And this is another reason why I like to buy graded at those shows. Because raw, like, I'm so busy with stuff, I don't always have time to just take it out and, like, really inspect it. Once you took it out of the sleeve and there's like a little line on the side of it, and I was just like, dang it. What is. How much is that? Ding. The value? You think? I. I sold it to him for 400 or 380? What would you have sold if you looked at it like, hey, this thing looks mint. I probably would have still tried to sell it for 300, but just because I felt bad, I gave him 200, so. Oh, you took 100 off? No, I took two. I mean, he got it for 180 bucks. I would have tried to sell it for like 300 or so. Okay, so 150 value. He made out much better than I did. His kid also hit and with 15 grand. So his kid shared. Had to split it. But his kid hit a trout out of the Tribute case with Eddie. A trout Jeter dual auto. And Eddie just bought it off the kids. Oh, really? I would ask Chris to send you the 120 bucks. That happened to me, by the way. I again, I had my PC showcase out. My John Elway I bought last year for 1300 bucks. 95 rookie had really high subs Though kid came up to me was like, hey, I'll trade you my 9. 5 with less subs and $600. Done in a heartbeat. Yu-Gi-Oh but I got it home. And that card will be going with Larry Bird back to Beckett. Case has, like, two or three little cracks. They're not bad. But I was like, if it's a PC card, I don't. I don't want to. I don't want cracks in car. The case. I was. It's. You get in a rush, dude. Thanks. Because it's like, you are. There's so much going on, and I hate that. I think people are taking advantage of it, and they've seen that wasn't the case with me. I will say I don't. And I. That the guy who sold me the card, I don't think he was trying to take advantage either. But at the same time, it's like, you can't tell. And I'm getting more and more of that sense of they. There's kids coming to the show, and I think there's kids because they're a good distraction, and. Or you'll be nicer or you'll give them things. You see that story we shared? The kid. And kid, like, handed them that $15,000 homes to the kid, and the kid, like, shoved in his Beckett So if you guys have not seen this already, basically, there were. There was a theft that I think got caught. I know there's probably plenty of other thefts. Alex had a card stolen from him. He did not. He did not. Oh, wait. He confirmed. I asked him the next day, and he said it was. He thought he got stolen because he Goldin find it. He had sold it. He was just too busy to remember it. Oh, thank goodness. Okay, well, that's good at least, because I was worried. I was like, who's coming to our booth and stealing here? But if you're gonna though you would steal from Alex. He's the most. The most defense. Well, to be fair, Alex was also, like, the busiest. I feel like he had people around him the entire time, him and Dalen. That's why we put them there. Yu-Gi-Oh Like, he was on the corner getting them, and Dalen was out front because I was like, you want people. People are gonna find out the nice beats first. Well, Yu-Gi-Oh And also, people could see. Like, people can see you from wherever you're at. Like, you're tall than everybody. People. They'll ask if they don't see you. Where's Jesse? Or where's Mike? They're gonna find us. Was like, I want people in front who know nothing about us, but they're coming here to transact. Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh it worked out great. It was really crushed. And but so the, the guy, it was Luke, he's from the uk. He. That's the box guy. So it wasn't actually Luke whose card it was. This guy was just set up with them. Oh, okay. And so it was the international section. They had a lot of like high end Disney stuff, but also some sports stuff as well. That $15,000 Mahomes card that was in there. And this, if you haven't seen it, it's just a video. You talk about brazen. That guy lifts the case open, grabs the card and hands it to the kid. I was going to say that. And thank you for covering it though, Mike. So. But that's what happens when you have these setups and they had like four, at least four people altogether, maybe five people with them. But some go to lunch and then the other ones are getting asked about cards on the other side. And it's like you turn your back while you're dealing over there. And it is that easy to just lift it up and take whatever you want right out and walk away. And that's what they did. That is why. And that is why I have like, people laugh like, yu-gi-oh here. Hanging out. No, Gio is here because a, he does not care about cards. I didn't handle money at all this whole weekend. Oh, that's awesome. And we had a huge amount of actual cash on hand. Yes, years ago. Yu-Gi-Oh he came up with his family. Well, I gave them a box of Bowman Chrome baseball, which was David's box. He one-of-one that the night before at the Mojo party. Oh, cool. So that was courtesy of David. David was awesome. Getting drinks for everybody, helping. But by the end of Tuesday and then into Wednesday, people just like, literally just start setting up on your table and you're like, Dave, People were setting up at the booth at that table across the way. I'm just gonna hang out. Hey, David. Hey, guys, Move it. Like you see David Jills. Like, this is perfect. It was, it was pretty funny. That's good. We had a cool. We had a cool view. Can I tell the Gronk story? Can I fangirl for just a minute or did you. I've been talking a lot. I'd like to leave you subjects. Well, I. And I have other things to discuss at the show that I'd like to get opinions on. But yes, I. I would like to hear this because this is the thing I wanted. When the Gronk thing was going to go on, I was like, oh, I could stay and do that as well. I was so exhausted by the end of Saturday, I was like, even though that would be such a cool thing, because he seemed really funny, especially in a lot of interviews, I was like, I. I'm going back to my hotel room. When I asked you about Eddie's dinner, he was like, I actually thought you're like, no, Are we good? You're like, yes. Yu-Gi-Oh I don't. I wasn't mad. I was just, like. I had run out of. I could tell social battery had just ended. So. Yu-Gi-Oh So ebay, Live at the Zebra bowl, had promised me some time with Gronk doing a live event. It didn't work out. Allison, let's use that name. You know what? Let's use a different name. Smalison. There we go. I named him. Never figure it out. This time, Smalison, though, says, hey, I think I can get you some time with Gronkowski Saturday night. I literally like, hey, let's go. Time. We're getting there. We bought some wax for him. Like, 2010 wax. Like, let's try to rip with him. Tell some stories. In my head. We were doing something on the stage or something. I didn't know what we were doing. Yu-Gi-Oh They lead me like, hey, let's go chill in the green room for a minute. I open the door, Gronka just sitting on the couch in this green room. Yu-Gi-Oh And so we walk in, and we start talking for a minute, and he's like, finally, the camera guy. Hey, you gotta sit down, like, talk. I was like, I thought we were leaving. No, no, this is the thing. Which actually ended up being way better. That is. Yu-Gi-Oh We just sat there and bsed and, like, we compared. Small room. It's not, like a big thing. It's the size of the soft. Not a ton of people in there. Seven people in there. Probably his PR people. And, Yu-Gi-Oh Just, like, goof around. So the criticism is often. We talked to Mike and Mike about this. How many of these athletes actually care? Because some guys, I think, just get paid to do stuff in the hobby. Yu-Gi-Oh And I think it comes across well. There was no. He. I don't even know if he knew the camera was running, quite frankly. He was just in the zone, just goofing around. He's like, dude, I was just on stage. Ripped $100,000 Tom Brady card. Like, I think he ripped a Contenders auto live. So you believe that? I just pulled it. He was like, again, there's not a crowd there. He's, like, genuinely excited about it. That's. So we pulled an Eli Manning card, which I screwed the pooch. I am almost positive I left it. I brought two cards and sleeves to have him autograph to. And he autographed my badge, which was pretty cool. Yu-Gi-Oh We pulled an Eli Manning card, and we're like, dude, Eli sucks. He's like, Yu-Gi-Oh he writes eli sucks, and then autographed it. At the end, though, like, the handler was rushing us out. Yu-Gi-Oh I was like, you want me take all this trash with us to pack? Like, no, I think I left it there like an idiot. It. So if anybody finds that, you're gonna want to send that to me. Yu-Gi-Oh but it was pretty cool. It was kind of like just some. And, like, some plugs. Like, you guys were actually able to just, like, not just, like, interview questions, but just, like, kind of joke around and talk. Yu-Gi-Oh because again, it was like, hey, who was like, your inspiration growing up? Yu-Gi-Oh Jeremy Shockey, who was this crazy tight end for the Giants back in the early 2000s. I was like, really? I'm like, shocky, this way. Better tight ends. What's the deal there? He's like, dude, I was in high school, and he got. He got, like, carried out of a Vegas hotel. He's, like, unconscious in the pool. And I just. I just want to be like, Jeremy Shockey on the field and off. It's just the crappy would say, you're just like. And he's like, it did. My shoulders are tight. You. I mean, I thought you were a fan. Am I getting a rub here? What's the deal? I was like, absolutely, Yu-Gi-Oh He didn't get up the whole freaking time. He literally just sat there, was Zebra chill. And then we did, like, some plugs, like, all right, dude, we're here because of ebay live anyways, and we go in there, we buy singles to sell. If you got to buy somebody right now to sell, who are you buying? Like, go out and sell on the. On the ebay live platform. And he played the game like, he was pretty fun, and we were joking. The handler, very kind, but you could tell she'll wrap it up. I think he would have stayed there another 20 minutes. Oh, really? He was just, like, chill, kicking it, and it was like, the cool thing. I was like, hey, any, like, what's the worst hit, biggest hit? And, like, what's the one that always stands out to you? Immediately, I already knew. I was like, that Earl Thomas hit. He fricking Earl Thomas was a little guy, leveled him one time, and as soon as he starts telling the story, I'm like, Yu-Gi-Oh Earl Thomas. Like, this is perfect. So. So when anyways, you guys were doing all of that, like, there was. There is footage of all of this. We filmed everything. We have a couple clips coming out. We do have a chat that is called the Glizzy Gang. But here's what's funny is I don't know how often we talk about hot dogs. I don't think it's all the time. But the hot dog is that it's a. Yu-Gi-Oh a lot of people call hot dog glizzies these days. I don't know if it's been around for a little bit. I think it's a northern thing. You know, you're 40, right? Like, what are we doing? Listen, I go where the people are and people go to Glizzy. Go to different spots and where those people. It was a hit though. I will tell you the amount of people. It was a lot. Please, I've set the table. Can you say what was on the table for us? Glizzy's hot dogs. Call them what you will. It was a delicious. It was a delicious meal provided on Friday. And actually it's a funny story because those guys went out and got them. He just buy those, by the way, just to give away. Well, they went out and bought it. I reimbursed everybody for fully. I knew you were going to say that. Let me talk the. The idea was we. We got some hobby nonsense hot dog stickers. We were just like, it's a silly thing. We're gonna give these out throughout the show. And then on Friday we're gonna go and give away hot dogs. And we thought, well, where's a spot where it's like people can kind of walk through and it's not gonna be completely crowded. We'll do it outside the VIP area. And that's where we started giving out hot dogs. There's a. There's some footage outside the. Oh, so it didn't all happen at the booth? No. Oh, I didn't know that. Well, so we didn't Speckle. You have your. Yes. Here's the other thing. Jesse. I don't think we were fighting. No. Jesse just has his band of friends and we've grown apart. We had a quick spat Saturday morning where I think we were both ready to punch each other in the face. It was. Well, we were both exhausted. I think we just left it. And I think it. The. This is. Whatever he just said was a lie. It is not the fact that we are not friends. It is a fact that you have so much going on. I have so much going on. You have people helping you. I have people helping me on separate roads. If you want to come and help on the Glizzy Gang, by all means. My dad comes back, by the way. He's like, you know, Jesse and the big guy and like the other. That. The other guy, like, basically Jesse, the big guy and the weirdo. It's like they're giving out hot dogs. I went to go get one and I saw and I was like, oh, you had a big rip in your glove. And I was like, I can't do it. That was it. I was like, man, I was so paranoid about getting food sick. Well, we had already cleaned our hands and it was like we put gloves on and then. Yu-Gi-Oh I had ripped the glove towards the end. Dude, you guys are the head of the show. Was it as busy at the VIP area as at our booth? So here's what happened with. So we're out there giving them away. What happened too was Funko went and bought them all like the day before, like pre bot. And then I guess it was. I don't know if they both went and Beckett them up or it was just bj. But when they bring out this cart, because we also bought. We had waters. We had 300 hot dogs. They didn't actually package. We thought they were going to be packaged. Can I ask the total cost of this procedure? It was over 500 bucks. Okay. Oh, Costco. Costco, exactly. They were Costco dogs. Walmart. You would have 1200 bucks, right? I mean, it wasn't crazy, but excited. You've been to the whole show, by the way. I like this. So we have to put them all together because they just give us buns, they give us trays and trays of hot dogs and they give us all this water. It comes out on a pallet. And you may notice we didn't have a pallet. We had a wheelbarrow Thing that we were pulling around. So I don't know where all the extra hot dogs and waters and stuff went. I'm really hoping BJ was able to, like, keep them or give them away or something, but it just was not impossible to bring everything in. So in the. In hindsight, either we need more transportation equipment or we're just going to buy maybe a few less hot dogs in the future. But we get them up there to the outside, the. The vip. Anybody know about it up there? Yu-Gi-Oh well, we had talked about it, and we had made a one or two posts. It wasn't like a huge thing because. Not with Reno or, like, one of the guys. No, no, no. It was just like, hey, we're just going to. It's. We're not asking for money. It's already cooked. We're just going to give away stuff. So after about, like, five, ten minutes, there's someone who comes over and like, hey, what's this? And we're just like, we're just giving away hot dogs. Okay? And they go off and, like, several workers come up to us between then, can I have a hot dog? Everybody gets out. Anybody who wants a hot dog gets a hot dog. Cal from the all Stars card show, he's one of the ones that we did that charity thing for. He was over there, like, he's just a little kid asking people, you want a hot dog? And, like, he's over there just, like, chowing down on two of them that kids put away. Cal have a smoking problem. It's a little kid. Little kid voice. Hey, you want a hot dog? You don't think kids sound like, so giving away hot dogs? I want to make fun of the kid. And then finally, another guy from the show comes back. He's like, hey, guys, I'm gonna have to shut you down. Can I ask why? And, like, food safety. Yu-Gi-Oh We. We can't have people giving away hot dogs because we don't know what temperature it's served at. I'm just like, okay, all right. Well, you know, we're not gonna put up a fight, but, you know, we are just giving them away. And hot dogs are already cooked. You know, we're. They. They're obviously heated, but you also don't have to cook them to eat them. You know, it's not like a foodborne illness situation in that sense, but they're like, Yu-Gi-Oh just can't do it. Sure. It's like, okay. So we go over to our booth and we're like, well, we're just going to Provide lunch to guys at our booth, and then whoever else may come to the booth, if they want a little extra lunch, then they can have that. So that's what we ended up doing. And that's where the rest of the hot dogs got given away. Okay. That makes Mike. Mike and Michael both got their own. I'm pretty sure they enjoyed theirs. They definitely was. Mike and Michael. Ruben. Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh you left. Yes, we had Ruben and Mayhem Friday. When. In their seats for when they came and sat down. I think Ruben thought you were joking when you said it, because he didn't look, and then he saw, and he's like. What's the. He's like. Oh. I just say it was like, as if I actually expected him to take a bite out of it, which is. I'm glad he was a good sport about it, but no, I'm really hoping that when somebody's Beckett knee got to eat it on his. Someone took that. Yu-Gi-Oh for sure. I will say we made good use of the studio. We had Mike and Mike. We had Adam Ireland. Like, we had some big people. Adam Ireland, Ashish, who is the VP of, like, Runsy Bay Live. Who else? We had Jason Mashera from Upper Deck. Yep. Like, we. I thought we made pretty good freaking use of that thing. Like, we had a lot. You had Cal in there. That was. That Cal the kid you had in there or. No, we didn't do an interview. He just. But he did come in there. But that was Cow. That was cool. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Little guy up there. Yu-Gi-Oh there was. Well, we didn't get to do the Good Charlotte thing because we were doing the PSA thing now. Psa was it? Very interesting, Preston. We came out Good Charlotte back, and I will say I really am upset because in hindsight, like, I really wanted to do the PSA thing, but I'm glad, and I'm glad we did it. Yu-Gi-Oh That's a man. I really. That was hard. That's a collision, though, of, like, business Pulsar Yu-Gi-Oh Okay, so psa, we do have to talk about this, too. So psa first. We did the grading thing. We're going to release the full video once they sign off. Yu-Gi-Oh But they kind of put us through almost like a walkthrough of, hey, you're applying a new thing. They're going to be doing this with other people, which is good. So. Okay. So I will give them their flowers as well. Transparency. They're trying to show it. We'll release some footage. Great. Yep. They know this, though, from the two people I spoke to over there they took. So they're doing on site grading and literally after a day though, like first of all, we have to shut down the $200 level. Oh, this is nothing to do with the other thing we're talking about. Correct. Totally separate. But their 200 entry level grade or 230, whatever it was, they got more cards submitted on Wednesday than the entire national last year. That's. And that gives you a scope of what's going on. Like just. Yu-Gi-Oh just not even to the betterment. Like I think PSA should have the business. I think they know the. But then also they took on so much they were not able to get everything back in person. Well, they took on so much that that wait time is now extended, I'm sure because their backlog increased. Sure. So again they work with us. We're not going to attack them and just look for like call for. I love that they're doing the transparency thing and trying to talk about hey, this is why we're. It's slow for us to continue to add graders. There's a lot to go through. We can attest to that ourselves now a little bit. But it also is a big miss by them. Like again, Ryan Hoge is like we want you to come on Ryan Hogue. Love to have you come on and talk. If you're going to offer in person services, you have to have a firm number in mind of. Hey, this is what we can get back. Like have a cut off. Absolutely. Yu-Gi-Oh Early like because hey, does it suck that I can't get my cards in? Yes. What is even worse to me is I sent I give you my cards expecting to have them back in show and now they've made it right to a degree. They're going to cover shipping, obviously. And everybody got at least a hundred if not more dollars. I think there was credit and you got your card shipped back. I honestly thought they handled it well. I was. But it shouldn't happen in the first place. I mean but if you give. If you give again, I'm not. We're not going to sugarcoat because they're smart. Like if you give cards. I would just say though, the state of grading right now is out of control. So here's what was really fascinating about the thing that we got to do. Was it. Well one, I found out that I'm a terrible grader. Mike is a much better grader if there was any question. So what I numerically could not be worse than you, by the way, true or false. No one in ten could have Done. Two and nine. That was two grades out of ten. That was two. Cannot get worse than Jesse did. We can't go into all the detail because I'd really love to tell you, like, what this bad you were supposed to do, but. Well, what they. They tell you they basically look at these cards and then grade them. That's what. I'm not going into all the detail, but I'm just saying Jesse looked at those cards and played opposite. No. Well, apparently my problem is I am way too aggressive in my grading because I. I went in thinking, oh, I'm looking for perfection. I don't think you've ever seen a card before, and that is not what they are trying to do. A 10 is not perfect. If it was, it wouldn't be 55. 45 on centering. It'd be a 5050. So I'm going in here and I'm like, oh, well, I'm seeing some, like, printing lines or like, they're like, Nope, that's a 9 or a 10. And I'm like, what are you. No, they're still Jesse. Like, hey, this is a 10. It would be a one because that happened. Okay. And hey, this is a nine. And it was a two. That was because of one specific thing that I. I will admit I don't know how I missed that one thing, but that was one thing. All the other stuff was not as far off. The big point, though, is it is very interesting in how you grade. And it makes me realize and appreciate not everybody can be a grader. And those who do grade, they need a lot of training to get to that point. Because, yes, you could, like, have someone come in and within a week, you could probably have them doing a decent job. But it's a speed thing too. To be able to just, like, go through that many cards. It took a ton of time for me to go through. Mike was quicker on it, but it was just like, I am more accurate, by the way. Not just quicker, not on all of them, but yes, they're. On some of them, you were. There is a real detail attention to detail that is needed and speed at the same time. And it is like, oh, well, let's also know your background and your experience in cards in the hobby. And it's like all the things you would want in a grader, but it's so much more when you actually have to do it yourself. So I'm not saying, like, oh, well, that's okay. Now that we have, like, these really long hold times and like, the weight is you know, whatever it is, at this point, it's not saying it's okay. I'm just saying I get it. I get it better than I ever have to give some context too. And again, there's no way around the faux pas though. If people aren't getting their cards back, period cut and dry, that's a huge miss in my opinion. However. So here's some facts for you. By the end of the first day, Wednesday, which is not a fully opened up day, they took in more cards than last year. Cgc, I heard by the end of Friday had taken in more than they had ever taken in at any live show before ever. BGS said the exact same thing. I wonder how many guys just brought in boxes of cards. I guess, dude, the demand. The demand for. It's crazy. They should have had a max per person you could drop off. Maybe some did. I have no idea. All I know though, it's not just psa. The demand for grading as a hobby is outrageous right now. And I don't know how it slows. I don't know what you do. That is something they could do once it. Because the question is, once they do finally get the backlog under control and they come back, how do we not just re enter this? I think you have to do like a max of how many cards you could send in. You can try. I think that might be the way to do it. I'm up for anything. Because it's not just psa, like every. And the answer also is not because again, I know it's easy to say, hey, all these companies should increase capacity. That's fine now, but companies don't generally just increase and double. Like, number one, I think it would flood the market really quick and it'd be a problem. Number two, what happens when things slow down so they have to lay people off? The supply demand thing is a weird bounce. We're obviously out of whack. I just don't know how you fix that. But the grading thing is. It is. It is unfreaking real right now. Yu-Gi-Oh How hungry this hobby's appetite is for grading. Oh Yu-Gi-Oh Well, PSA grading, all grading. CGC and BGS were slammed too. I know, but I mean, I think they're slammed because PSA had shut down maybe at that point, but it's very possible. But Yu-Gi-Oh like there's. There is just a crazy amount of demand in the space. So. Yu-Gi-Oh One thing I did not care for for the show was the trade night. I don't like the idea that before the show even opens the crate. The trade night room was already Beckett like almost every table, almost every season. Because being used for other things. And then you have like, okay, let's come on in. And here's the problem. What I have heard now is the reason why some of the attached hotels Goldin do trade nights where you Goldin do things in there was because the national told them they're not allowed to have them or they can't do certain rates. Did you hear that from a good source? We heard that a few years ago. No, I confirmed it. Yu-Gi-Oh I've got the email chain with them, so. Okay. Because I heard last year too, from some of the hotels. No, we just made the decision. We don't want kids in our lobby sitting all over the place. And that could have been true in previous years. This year it was true that they made the agreement like, hey, if you want to have the rates that you get and all this stuff, or if you want to make, you know, as one of the national hotels, you have to have this rule in place. So that's. I don't think that's something that they should have to. They should be dictating. I think, like, if people want to go to one of these hotels beside them and do some trading or have a trade night in there, because there are people out waiting literally an hour or more to just get in the room, then once you're in the room, you're already jam Beckett with people. You can't even get to everything. So it's like, just allow some other spaces nearby to be able to do something similar. I do wonder. I'd like to hear that because honestly, people that we talked about that the last show and like, my thing was I wouldn't. If I'm a hotel owner, I don't want that happening. If I'm a hotel owner, I would think I would want that happening if I can, like monetize it in some way or at least do, hey, here's a room, here's a ballroom. We'll rent it out for you. You know, like. Yu-Gi-Oh because the lobby thing is insane. Like, there's nothing worse than trying to get back home after a day. And you're like, why is there an 8 dude coming out of the PSA thing? I whacked that kid in the back of the head with the door. There were kids sitting. For the grading thing. There were kids sitting. I was like, guys, this is a door. What are you. There's like six kids just like sitting there trading guards. Yu-Gi-Oh Well, I mean, I was at the Hyatt, which I will say, if I can at all, I, Dave and everybody else on the team that helped set up this national, you guys did an amazing job. And thank you for that hotel because the Hyatt was absolutely amazing. They have ballrooms and they have side rooms. There's so many. They have tables with just chairs all around them. And they were. I'd go. I went immediately from the trade night on Saturday and. Or Sunday, Friday, Friday. And then walked over to my hotel and it's just all of these tables and nobody's at them. Like, it's all empty stuff. And I'm just like, oh, I do. But you want a trade night there. So which is it, Jesse? No, I'm not saying. I'm saying I wish they were there. That's what I'm saying. I'm wishing they could set up there. The. What was there on Saturday was the horror convention that was in town. That's where that clown video came from. Oh, horror. I'm sorry, you say the word horror. Horror. I literally thought you. Horror. Sounds like you're saying the word. No, it does. I'm saying horror. Brendan or Alan, somebody jump in. I'm not the only one who heard right there, right? What is it hora or is it horror? I. You were like, horror convention. I was like, you're both wrong. I mean, it sounds like he's saying horror. If I had to point to things, that would be it. I don't have a long laundry list of all the national should have done this better or that better. They killed it with ac. Except in our little way. Everywhere else was great to their credit. Downstairs you were almost cold if you went across the Fleer upstairs. Even with the stage was. It was great. Oh, really? Only that little half because there were so many people. Yu-Gi-Oh By the way, the international thing, good for you. Like, I thought that was a pretty cool little. I think it was awesome that they had an international. Specifically international. They also did very good with like the lines every day. They were just like, hey, they announced it too. Like, guys, we're opening 20 minutes early for this people, like this version or this section of people. I gotta give, like, hats off to them for most of that. I thought you did an excellent job. The. The idea that the space. A lot of guys were like, well, I don't know if they did make more room for tables. Like spacing between tables upstairs. I will say there was more, but it wasn't a ton more. And it didn't help that it was also just Zebra popular up there. Like it was just a ton of people coming through. So that's like one of those things where it's like. Yu-Gi-Oh if there was like a line of people going through, like there are at some of the tables downstairs, it probably wouldn't be as big of a deal. But it was just jam Beckett And by the way, upstairs was also where they had the thing. You could rent one table, not a full booth. I think it was 1500 bucks for the whole show or less than that, actually. That's awesome. One table, not a whole booth. Correct. Upstairs do that downstairs. Is that what you're saying? Downstairs is booths upstairs, one offs again. I think that's a great idea. I did too. Getting a ton of people. So like. Yu-Gi-Oh Are there things I could sit here and critique? Sure. I was Zebra encouraged by how much progress we've seen over the past couple years under this new group. Oh Yu-Gi-Oh they definitely listen. I mean, dude, Joe came around every day and talked to somebody on the team too. Oh really? Okay. What's going on? You see? What do you guys see? Like, I just. I think it's cool. I didn't. This is something that we. I mentioned before we went to the national and I saw it there and I wish they would do this in the future. You gotta put your best beats out when you're advertising a show. When I first walk into the show, especially if I'm a newcomer loyalty thing though, I just, I'm not saying get rid of them. Just switch spots. Put your corporate there first or put like some of the other tables there first and then just put the other guys on the other side. Because it's. Because Goldin cards. I think Goldin is right there when you. Our Heritage is right there also when you walk in. Yu-Gi-Oh One of the auction houses. But it's like mostly bats and old and even that. By the way, you can't buy anything at the auction house. It's a great activation for that, you know, goes right up front. If I'm them, I would put frickin Burton's front and center. That guy has like. Yes. Like a full. Like this full four table booth. Yu-Gi-Oh He's doing a ton of training. See awesome stuff. Like right off the bat, stuff people want to see. Yu-Gi-Oh Like actually the. The tables that were over on the side where D.C. sports was. I never got. I got there for one day. That was one of my favorite spots, actually. That area where I barely got there. I think there's a lot of people that don't go to that section, but it was probably like the most. It's where like Underdog was and there was. Okay, Collector two was. I did go there a little bit. Yu-Gi-Oh Yes. But Yu-Gi-Oh it's actually. That was a really cool thing. I think that would be better for. Because it's more representative of what a card show is, I think. I don't disagree. Yu-Gi-Oh The pendants and all that stuff that they've got. And it's like that's where you're getting your old timers because, I mean, you put out some good content where it's like, you know, stand up if I'm coming to the table, do deals. Sure. Don't put out like no cash signs and all this. I had fun making fun of people. People. That was kind of a treat. But I agree with a lot of it. And it's just like. But that's where those guys were and that's where it's like, let's get inside. That's fair. That's all I'm saying. But overall, Yu-Gi-Oh I thought it was good. We're already guess still coming. I had my folks come in Saturday, spoke to Mike's mother for about 15 minutes, by the way. Her grandparents came over, came into Boston on a boat from Ireland. I Might get the whole story. I'll give you the story. The maiden was Kelly. I'll save that for later. SCN after dark. Deep cuts here, man. I mean, but like, I guess for me, ending on the family side is. I guess the quickest way for me to say is just how emotionally overwhelming it was to be around so many positive people and happy people in the throes of like the coolest thing I've ever witnessed. I mean, just the amount of people in the loving. Like, dude, this morning I got up, no joke, was just breaking cards that my, my father in law gave me after the show. I got a Tom Glavin rookie. I got some stuff I might send at psa. We got a real degenerate on our hands. Heck Yu-Gi-Oh Just an unbelievable. So I don't. As a newbie to the scene and somebody who just like admires the content you make, you know, just very lucky and grateful. I'd say as an outsider into your audience, like, I would imagine if there was fomo, if you didn't get a chance to come by just as like a newbie. I can't even imagine for the people who look forward to it playing around it, like now that I'm kind of sucked in, I just, I could go on forever about how wonderful it was. I don't think I'd ever do it justice. He made a Zebra profound statement. You would have enjoyed this. At one point it was like Friday. So he'd been there for a while. He's like, dude, I've never been in a group of people who have like a common interest or goal and they're all happy about it. I think he said except. Except. Except Geo, I think is what he said me. But no, it's true, dude. Everybody frickin loves being there. Granted, you have a couple troll scumbag losers who are miserable. If you gave them a billion dollars, they'd be mad. It wasn't a trillion. Sure. But in general, that whole room is like people who want to be there. Absolutely. That's where I found even more so this year than most other years. I don't know why it was this year because I feel like in years past I feel like I've been surrounded by. There's a little bit more negativity. I didn't feel that this year. The market's also hot too. It's easy to be positive when you're like, all my cards are up over the last year, but. But I still think you gu guys who were just thrilled, like this is their. I Mean dude. Even for like, I was talking to Doug about this. Doug is there with his dad. Like, this is their thing. Me and like, me and my dad have. Me and my dad have never been on vacation ever in my entire 40 years on this earth. Except for the national. That's not a joke. Yu-Gi-Oh he was gone when I was 4. But like, even as adult. No. He's never come to you, like, on a vacation. I mean, he came to Tennessee to visit me once. When you stay in My House, that's on a vacation. He now lives here. But this is the only trip all friggin year. My whole life. That's the only thing we do. Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh that was the Russ and Rust thing too. When the four of us went, Yu-Gi-Oh dude, we only had like three of those. Russ. Russ doesn't. It was just different now, man. With senior gone, it's just a weird. I will say there was a few moments of that too, man. Like at one point my dad was like, man, missing Russ. I was like choked up. Yu-Gi-Oh I was like, me too, man. This sucks. That was our thing, dude. Keep it on that. We're talking positive. Jesse, why do you have to bring this up? Hey, Mike, I got a question for you. So, Mike, Carl. Hey, if you had to name top three moments because I know you could talk about a lot of things. Do Rushmore. It's four. Do Rushmore. So top three moments of the show, what would you say? All right, so number one by far was when we figured out that we could take this studio and the setup and with the cameras and with some of the help. So this is behind the scene thing and we figured out that we were able to turn it into something that looked, I thought, way better than I could have exceeded. Oh, and I'm pumped to drop the content throughout the week, but like, okay, that was. As a behind the scenes guy, you're coming in there, you're nervous. We want to do the studio show. We want to do a good job with Reuben. We want to get Upper Deck out. We want it, but we also want to be able to have all the brands be able and get a studio feel and get a high quality stuff. And so we're pumped to drop that. That was like the most nervous thing. Once we got that figured out, the rest of the day kind of opened up. Now the second coolest thing was the Heritage auction house display center and had stuff like Babe Ruth's pants and like Darth Vader's lightsaber hilt from Empire Strikes Back and just stuff that like Matters to me personally, where I was like, I cannot believe I'm standing in front of this stuff. I got to see the honest wagoner T206. I'll lump that in. It wasn't with Heritage, but they're the highest end stuff that like really strikes a chord with you, then makes it easier for me to understand, like, why. And here's the third thing I would say. The last day I found a collection of cards that I went out looking for. I got this like, sick Alex Bregman card. Whatever. The coolest thing was I got to stand there with this like old guy from central Illinois. And I was like, I don't. I know. This was 90 bucks for six cards. I have absolutely no idea how to negotiate. Like, could you teach me what to do? And this guy, we served for like 10 minutes and he was like, like took me through it, you know. And like again, going back to the emotional side, having my wife there, she likes Mookie bets. We were picking out Mookie bet stuff. And so just have that like hands on experience that obviously you guys could have given this to me. What I wanted was to be able to be confident and comfortable myself, to go seek it out myself with a vendor, not on camera, not trying to do content, just as a personal guy getting to my personal collection. Those would be the three standout moments. And then probably just the overall thing. It's just how cool I feel after spending the weekend with you guys. What a weird statement, by the way. Cool hanging out in the world. Seriously interesting. I'm a weird guy and I want to be myself. And it was perfect. He's dressed as Buzz Lightyear slinging Disney cards. All right. My dad's wearing the big. My dad's wearing the big hat, drinking Coors Light. Yu-Gi-Oh No, not drinking against his bail. Just kidding. People who like being themselves. Yu-Gi-Oh I just looked at Adam at one point who's part of the network, and I was like just palm around and like everyone here just is so comfortable being themselves. And I think that might be taken for granted. Here's an outsider coming. Oh, Yu-Gi-Oh I'd like to hear why you think that the world on the outside, man, everybody's just hates themselves is there's just so much negativity. And then you show up and you're around a bunch of 40 plus year old guys and we're just chilling, breaking cards, having a good time. The father son stuff, the father daughter stuff, the family stuff. Because you guys are experts, man. I mean, you guys are there to sell cards Buy cards, you're in business transacting business. But I would say an overwhelming majority of the people walking the Fleer there are people that are trying to take it in that don't know a fraction of the stuff you do. They just love. It's just memories. I will say that was a big takeaway from me this week and I got a compliment. Mike, in a sec. Carl, in a second. The other big takeaway I had, which me and you have talked about this a little bit recently. I'm getting much more content to just be in our world. Like the rest of these guys suck. Even if they don't. I'm just like, I don't care you have an opinion, good or bad, screw you. Like, we got our team, we got our band of misfits. By the way, like, we got Alex sitting next to freaking Gary and Jason sit next to you and a guy passing out hot dogs. Bonkers is nine feet tall, selling a mantle card for a hundred grand. Dalen is putting on a freaking Broadway show with his wife. Like, unbelievable entertainer we got. I just like, you know what? I am kind of just like, I'm good. We got our crowd and if you don't. But anyways, one thing you'll, you will appreciate. Mike doesn't really know this. Anytime we do anything, Jesse is the camera guy. Like if we're gonna do something on camera, I cannot tell you how many times I've told Jesse, like, just do it solo. Hold the camera. No, no, no, no. The talent in front of the camera. I mean, Jesse always is the guy. Dude, compared to me though, on camera, I hate, you know, I hate. Okay, so dude, frickin day one, Mike pulls Shane aside and he's like, listen. He's like getting them all jacked up. I'm like, this guy comes in like a coach getting Shane. Shane is like snapping at me, which I'm like, this is great, Shane. I mean, I say snap it for Shane, snapping instead of saying like, hey, do this, would you please try this. Shane did great. Give me. And I got this wacko who I've never met before. Perfect Chicago psychopath. He shows up in like a tie dye shirt, day one-of-one pack, socks up to his mid calf. And every time, dude, he's just like my dad. Every time you ask him a serious question, he does the Rain man nod just like my dad does. He's like, he's thinking or he's grabbing his head and then he's like, he's interrupt animated and he's interrupted me every time, which Is great. Some people don't speak this. He's like, hey, hey, hey, start over. We're talking here. And it's after a minute you're like, wait a second, I gotta listen this guy. I walk the Fleer every day with a camera. Yu-Gi-Oh Which I. Dude, you know that I never allow that in the past. I hate that. Yes. And I was like, I'm kind of get. Not good at you psyched, but you're kind of getting comfortable. Yes. And it was pretty, but it was also perfect. New guy, he's like, hey, why did that. What was the coolest thing Think. Why does that table suck? Yu-Gi-Oh And you're like, wait a minute. It was almost. Dude, you know what? It reminded me of our dynamic when we started because you would ask all these questions like, what are we? And you're not. Yu-Gi-Oh Why is this? Yes. But it was, it was. The new guy dynamic is a, is a cool, weird dynamic. Well, his energy for it as well. Because it's not just like a hey, what is this? Why? It's like he's excited for it. And that's what I, I really appreciate. I could have brought Tad with me, but Tad was good at what he did. I don't need Tad on the Fleer with me. Yu-Gi-Oh And eight feet tall. Tad was outstanding. Tad. Tad cannot be Tad. Tad cannot be Carl. Tad did these. Well, these camera guys. I mean again, it's it the behind the scenes stuff, it really. I'm glad it turned out as well as it did. But a real magician and a problem solver and thank you for the kind words. But really my experience has been infield with social, with camera, trying to make the most out of stuff. And I have an old saying that goes back to when I was a sales guy and it's like structure breeds creativity. Structure is putting yourself in a box. And then the more you put yourself in the box, the more creative you can be. So like you're Geo, you're a great personality of. You've. You have great energy, you're on the Fleer People are excited to see you. Like, that's kind of the box we want to put ourselves in. And I'm delighted that we're in a situation. We have some great stuff and I think it's effective for our audience that like you get, you got to see guys like you in action. Because I do think it's unique after having walked the Fleer with you, the relationships. I loved when you bought that box of Gronks 2010 rookie card. And afterwards in the transaction, you have with this older gentleman who's keeping it notepad. And you're like, hey, I remember you. You're from Kentucky, right? Then you guys have this like great moment about, you know, I trust you for this and all this stuff. And it's like that should be. The level of expertise is not just in the value of the Carter in the quality of the conversation. Like your expertise is down to the handshake and remembering the guy and making each other feel comfortable and like, like that stuff rocks. And, and to the extent Jesse spends more time on camera, then that's more fun I get to have with Jesse in the future. So we're just gonna have a blast. But being an open minded on camera is important because let's be honest, I mean, between the three of us, it sucks. Like looking into a camera, trying to be cool well, and trying to think when it goes out, you know, when it goes well, then you come back, you take a step back, you go, hey, that would actually turn out pretty well, right? Give like a different layer or, you know, maybe there's people who've been following you that want more or whatever. You can reach somebody who doesn't necessarily, necessarily interact with the podcast. But then Season likes the deal and you know, whatever. I mean, it's, it's all layered. I could go on forever about it, but I just can't take my hat off enough to you guys for being open minded in what is a chaotic environment. And it's not like you guys do that stuff every day where you're out walking around cutting deals and putting that content out. So, dude, it should be fun to release this stuff throughout the next week or two over the audience. You know what makes me think back when Jason was walking with us like man on the Street, I was like, oh Yu-Gi-Oh Mike was did kill doing man on the street because he would like actually have good ideas. Not me, Mike. Yu-Gi-Oh well, I mean, you were always great back there. Encouraged making a snide remark as people walk off camera. Really good comments. But no, he would be like very good for that kind of thing. Yu-Gi-Oh Here's the thing, guys. Mike hopefully will be on the team for a long time to come. I want to put you two weirdos in a live setting together. I think it would be a lot of fun to be able to do stuff because it's like when, when I did the robot. The. The. What is it? Robots name now I can't remember because I care so little. O'Reilly. O'Reilly. The auto parts. But when I did that, Mike Wasn't there nobody? No. No one really from our team was at that. And I was like, dang it. I really wish they were there because there's so many like just fun little things that that video put out that we didn't get in the final thing. I just think Mike's idea in his mind for how this goes is what we need because it's. He's got different perspective than some of our other guys and I love the other guys we have on the team. Oh, Red Sox fans across the country. Braves fans. Like, the Braves alone are like Tennessee, Alabama. It's like all these southern states that don't even have MLB teams. I hobby, though. Devout following and the Pirates in the collectible space the way the Pirates have drafted the last few skeens monster Seth Hernandez, next monster Connor Griffin killing it. They have such a creepy devout fan base. I actually think you could put those four and maybe even the Mets at times but I would say the Cubs are four or five. That's just elite ball knowledge. Are you freaking kidding me? Braves. He literally dressed, he dresses like a child's plaything is passing out glizzers or whatever the crap. You're handing people a glizzer is what happens. Well I have sub comment. I have a follow up question. One more brawler strike. We're going to be quick here. My sub comment is the Braves commentary from your end is spectacularly precise. In my history covering major league baseball as a whole, the Braves fandom is the loudest fandom. They're very passionate and you're right, you're roping in all these sec, football fan base, all the this, these like sub populations that are effectively professional sports populations and giving them one baseball team. So the to hear it on the collectible side like rings a bell. I wouldn't, I would not have guessed the Braves. But the fact you say they're in the top three easily makes all the sense in the world. Jesse Gibbs, ladies and gentlemen. Actually I give a shout out to Shep for that because Shep's always telling me how many guys are coming up to his shop for brave stuffs and it's just like I rarely credit you just take the credit and shut up. Yu-Gi-Oh collectible fan bases because I know they're Fanatics but like they do have tortured history. So they come in. You do hit the two the two key components for this by the way. Star power and lunacy. There's no more wacko friggin nut job cities in Philly and town like Harper is still an all time great Schwarber. Although quiet you've got a pretty devout little following for Schwarber like you. So you have some guys there for you still have people too by the way that will chase the Goldin trio from back in the day. Ryan Howard, Utley and Jimmy Rollins. So there's there is a Lot of that. And they have a crazy long history. Phillies are there. To me, they're just a step below the other five or six teams we mentioned. Thank you so much for that. And then here's my last ball or strike. And I think this is probably the easiest one. Baller strike. I'm late to Kate Horton because I started. I was looking at Kate Horton stuff and I was like, man, I really like him. I think he could be a Cy Young winner. And that's kind of how I'm starting to see it is like. Like, if I really like a guy, I sounded all the time on the Monday morning cup show. When he comes back, health. He's unique. His cut is depth. I have all this, like, spatial analytical stuff within the game. And so what I've learned from the convention is like, Yu-Gi-Oh dude, if you really believe in Kate Horton, like, I don't have to go all in and buy all of this stuff, but, like, it would make sense for me to be, like, starting to take a look and buying what I think is right. Pitchers do not have a great career track record. Like, there's a handful of pitchers. Miz and Skeen sell absolutely through the roof. For the last 10 years, though, Strasberg ruined the market for pitchers forever. He's the first big time prospect we all bought into in 20. Oh, God, 2010 was his prospect here. I think he killed everybody. From then on, we have, as a hobby, just rejected the notion that pitchers will sell. Kate Horton, number two guy last year, I think he was like two votes shy of winning rookie of the year. But after that happens so he doesn't one-of-one rookie of the Year. No postseason success off season. 1, 2, 3. And no one cares about pitchers. You now roll into this season. Didn't he miss a bunch of time? Was he injured this year? Yu-Gi-Oh he's. He's out for the. For the entire season. Crazy. So perfect for the year. Great. So he just proves a Strasberg message. Everybody who had any faith in him now is like, great. This is Strasberg over again. I don't remember what the Cubs did though. They even make the playoffs last year or no they did. They one-of-one the first wild card series against the Padres and lost in game five of the NLDS on the road against the brewers who then lost to the Dodgers in the nlc. Did he have a bad outing in that series though? Didn't he get shelled? He didn't play. He got okay. They shut him down at the end of the year. That's right. It was like we're take because he hit his pitch limit. The hobby has a short man. It takes so much time to build confidence in a pitcher but it takes one bad outing, one Tommy John, one whatever. And we're like oh done. Like I'm not messing with this guy again. We're very scared of investing in pitchers. So now this makes me just think there's an opportunity for me to put my weird brain into pitchers that are hurt. They had a setup where you could take cards to them, you could get pictures of them. And then dealers who were also set up could make buy options on those by the way through text message. A guy at the booth got one. I knew you had teased us the last show, but I was like, how are you? I'm not gonna sit there and check my app the whole friggin time. You literally gotta, hey, I've got this two seconds. I went down there, I. All I did was open. Right. Like you need an account, which is easy enough. You just go create an account. You go down there, they'll scan your card, your QR code and then they will send you a text if anybody shows interest in that card that they scan. Zebra easy. And guess what? I didn't have to have a vendor stable to be able to sell a card. Yu-Gi-Oh this is something that they're going to be rolling out, not just to other card shows. I was talking with Steve, who CEO of the company. He was saying, oh, I'm sorry, CEO of the company. Steve Sloan. Steve Sloan. He's saying that this is going to be something you could probably see at your LCS coming up. Which I think is really cool as well. Perfect. If you go to an lcs, it's like, hey, I want to sell my card. What if the guy, your owner is not into the card? He's a nice guy, doesn't want to buy it though. But hey, maybe there's someone else. Bam. Now you got a buy option and it's local. It's like, hey, just bring the card back in. If somebody does decide to buy. You got a middleman right there. Can you text him? Awesome.
