With the NBA Finals and the Stanley Cup Finals in full swing, you better believe that card prices are jumping up and down like crazy. But there's some baseball cards doing some big things as well. We'll tell you which cards are the hottest now. Hello sports card investors, and welcome to another Top five Cards from the Arena Club Studio inside Cards hq. And what an exciting, exciting week to be a sports fan with the NBA Finals, the Stanley Cup Finals they are delivering. We got a lot of great baseball going on. My Atlanta Braves continuing to do some big things here in Atlanta. A lot to be excited about. And if you've got a card collection, you should be excited as well because there are a lot of cards that have been going up and we're going to get into that right now. And of course, today's top five is sponsored by whatnot. Whatnot has awesome live auctions every day and night starting at just $1 for packs, boxes, breaks, singles and more. It's a lot of fun and if you scan the QR code on your screen or use this special link in our show description below, you'll get $15 in free credit when you sign up for Whatnot. All right, let's start today's show by taking a look at the overall sports card market. With the market pulse by market movers. And I told you, the sports card market is hot. It continues to go up over the last seven days. The SBI 500 index of 500 of the most prominent sports cards is up 0.7%. It is up almost 5% over the last 30 days and up over 25% since January 1, making this one of the hottest years ever in sports card history. Let's hope that momentum continues, continues to build. But now let's talk about the individual cards that are going up and down the most. It is time for today's top five. We're starting today's list with our cold Card of the week as we do every week, because it is a reminder that sometimes the hot cards featured in this program can quickly turn cold in the sports card market. So please invest carefully. And I hate to see our cold card of the week. This week it is just Jack Caglione, the right fielder for the Kansas City Royals. CAGS is one of my favorite baseball players. He was a Florida Gator legend. Pitched, hit. He was awesome. Led the Florida Gators to the College World Series. But ever since he's gotten to the major leagues, he struggled a bit. Last year was his rookie year. He struggled to adjust to big league pitching. He did Though have an impressive spring training this year, which got a lot of people excited about him. Again, people were buying his cards up. In fact, Kags even was here in Cards HQ right before the season started. It was great to see him. He's a big card collector as well. He was. He was buying cards here in the shop. So we certainly have been rooting for Kags, but this season he hasn't gotten it going consistently. He's had a lot of strikeouts. People are still waiting for his elite raw power game to break him out as one of baseball's most exciting young hitters. But we haven't seen it fully translate to the big leagues yet. So unfortunately some people are selling his cards off, wondering if that moment will ever come. I still believe in cags. He will have his day for sure. It's just not yet. And his card prices, unfortunately, they're suffering a little bit as a result right now. This is CAG's 2024 Bowman Draft, his first Bowman Draft chrome prospect auto card in PSA 10. This one is now down to $383. That is 18% down over the last 30 days. 30 days ago that was a $466 card. This is his 2024 Bowman Draft Chrome Refractor card, non auto in PSA 10 condition. This is $110 card. Today, 30 days ago that was a $140 card. This is his chrome Prospect auto purple refractor number to 250 in PSA 10 condition from 2024 Bowman draft last sold for $910. A week prior to that it was up at $960. So that's moving in the wrong direction. His green refractor number to 99 of this same auto card in PSA 10 also moving in the wrong direction. Most recently sold for a little over $1,250. But that card was closer to $1,500 30 days ago. And then finally, this is from the new 2026 Topps heritage. This is his real one autograph in raw condition. You can scoop this one now for around $107. But that was all the way up at $180 30 days ago. But now let's talk about cards going up and we're turning to our investment card of the week. And this week it is no other then the king himself. LeBron James. Yes, LeBron James. You guys know all about his storied career. What I think is incredible about LeBron, one of the reasons why I like him so much is he Entered the NBA back in 2003 already having been dubbed the chosen one. How many people can have those expectations put on them as a high schooler and and still deliver, in fact over deliver to the expectations that were placed upon them so young? I think it's incredible that he did that. Of course he's got four NBA championships already, four MVP awards and he looked good in the playoffs this year. Elite production in his 40s. Even though the Lakers got bounced. He didn't have a lot of help around him. But he is still playing at an elite level. And the combination of that plus the fact that in general goat cards have been all the rage in the sports card hobby over the last year have made his cards really good investments. Let's take a look here. This is the last year, the last 365 days. We're looking at on the chart of five of LeBron James key rookie cards and you can see these things have gone absolutely wild. Let's look at the details. So his 2003 Topps card, the base 2003 tops card in PSA 10 a year ago was a little over $1,800. Now it's about $5,000. What an investment return on that. Here's his base Topps chrome card from 2003 Topps Chrome a year ago it was $4200. Now it's close to $13,000 in PSA 10 condition. What an investment. Here's the refractor in PSA 10 condition of the 2003 Topps Chrome. A year ago that was $29,000. Now it is over $45,000 on the more affordable end. This is his 2003 upper deck MVP base card in PSA 10 condition. You could have bought that for $183 a year ago. Now it's $515. And this is his 2003 upper deck rookie exclusives based card in PSA 10 condition. A year ago that was $285. Now it is $650. What a year to be the king. But now let's turn our attention to a player who is in the mix at this very moment. Mitch Marner, the right wing for the Las Vegas Golden Knights of course has his team looking good in the Stanley cup finals and he's thrived all year. In his first season with with Vegas, he entered the finals leading the NHL playoffs with 21 points in 16 games, putting together one of the best postseason runs. It's certainly the best postseason run in his career and just a great all time great postseason run overall. And Vegas, who knows, are they going to go on and capture the Stanley Cup? It's looking pretty good. We'll see where the rest of the series goes. But right now you might see Mitch Marner as one of the MVPs, maybe the MVP of the entire playoffs should that come to fruition. Let's look at his cards. They've been doing MVP like things as well. This is Mitch Marner's 2016 SP authentic future watch auto and PSA 10. Just a couple of sales of this over the last 30 days, up slightly $645 as of the last sale. But some of these other cards have moved up a little bit more. This is Mitch Marner's 2016 Upper Deck Young Guns base card in PSA 10. This one's up over 42% in the last 30 days. Most recently sold for $287, but that was a $200 card approximately 30 days ago. In PSA 9 of the same card, it's gone from $68 up to about $100 over the last 30 days. And in raw it's gone from around $43 up to about $100 over the Last 30 days. And then finally, let's look at his 2016 Upper Deck Young Guns canvas and PSA 10 that recently sold for $156. But a few weeks ago you could actually scoop that for as little as about $120. So all of Mitch Marner's cards, they are on the way up. Let's go to Baseball for the number four card today. And it is Jesus Maday, the shortstop prospect for the Milwaukee Brewers. Maday has continued to establish himself as one of the fastest rising prospects in baseball, drawing national attention with his advanced offensive tools. And at just 19 years old in May, he hit.270 with four home runs and 24 RBI, showcasing his ability to make an impact in multiple ways in the game. He's got all around production and he's quickly becoming one of the hottest prospect names in baseball. His cards, they're reflecting that. Let's take a look here in Market Movers. I'll show you exactly what I'm talking about. This is my day's 2025 Bowman Chrome. His first first Bowman Chrome Prospect auto card in PSA 10 condition. This is now over $900. 30 days ago that card was $620. So that's a very nice jump in the last 30 days on that card. Here's the refractor version of that same first Bowman auto card in PSA 10, that is now eighteen hundred dollars. That card was down at thirteen hundred and fifty dollars. If you go back a few weeks ago, this is the Speckle refractor number to 299 of this same first Bowman Auto and PSA 10. This card is now close to $2,100. You could have scooped it for as little as $1,260 a few weeks ago. And then finally, how about his 2026 Bowman anime? This is a cool card from 2026. Bowman in raw condition most recently sold for $555. But a few weeks ago you could have scooped that for as little as $400. Nice to see Jesus Maday having so much success in the card market. But now let's talk NBA Playoffs and NBA Finals. And in the number three spot on today's list it is Dylan Harper, the guard for the San Antonio Spurs. He's continued to shine during his rookie season, proving that he belongs among the league's brightest young stars with all around game and poised under pressure. He's really been great all postseason long stepping up in big moments compet combining scoring, playmaking and poise well beyond his years. And honestly in game one of the finals had they kept him in in the fourth quarter, maybe that game would have gone in San Antonio's way. They brought in de' Aaron Fox. Fox didn't have a great fourth quarter I think. I think Harper only played for like three minutes in the fourth quarter when he had been great all game long. He had 16 points, eight rebounds, was 6 of 10 shooting. Probably needed a little more playtime down the stretch for San Antonio. That could have helped them maybe get off the series to a better start with a game one victory. Who knows. But his cards, they have been hot in the sports card market over the past month. Let's take a look. Here's Dylan Harper's 2025 Tops base card in PSA 10 condition. This is now a $105 card that has more than doubled from where it was a month ago when it was a $51 card. And how about his 2025 Tops Chrome Refractor? This one in raw condition is now a $63 card. But a month ago that was around $31. So that one has also more than doubled. This is his 2025 Topps Chrome rookie auto in raw condition. This is now over $500. You could have scooped that for just a little over $200 if you go back to early May. So this one as well. Well over doubled. And then finally, how about one of his short prints from 2025 Topps Chrome? This is the fanatical in raw condition. This one sold recently for $72. You could actually scoop that for as little as $34 just a few weeks ago. And we're going with one of Dylan Harper's teammates in the number two spot on today's list. Of course it is. Victor Wembanyama. He was actually in the number one spot the last two shows this week. He's been bumped down to number two. Can you guess which other basketball player might have taken the number one spot? I'll tell you in just a second. But Wemby's cards have been incredible. Just as his play through most of the postseason has been incredible. Maybe, maybe didn't look quite as good in game one as people were thinking he would. But he still finished with 26 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks. I mean this guy has averaged over 330 points per game entering the NBA Finals, 13 rebounds per game, 4 blocks per game. Those are his averages entering the NBA Finals. So what an incredible. No matter what happens to San Antonio from here. No, it's just been an incredible Finals run for Wemby. And his cards have been on an incredible run as well. Let's take a look here in Market Movers. I'll show you exactly what I'm talking about. I've got his 2023 optic base card up on the screen in PSA 10 condition. This one's up 668 over the last 30 days. Most recently sold for $261. You go back a few weeks ago and that was as little as $121. Here's his prison base. And PSA 10 continues to climb. Most recently sold for $565. That card was $243 one month ago. His Prism Silver also continues to climb. That card has now broken the $4,000 mark. That card was down at around 2620 $700 one month ago. How about his 2023 tops Mercury is one of his base cards. From Tops mercury card number 10 in PSA 10 condition. This is now a $325 card. That was a $160 card 30 days ago. This is his 2023 tops now draft base card. And in PSA 10 condition. Super heavily printed card population of over 12,000. Doesn't matter. It's $138 today. You could have scooped that for as little as $55 just a few weeks ago. And finally, here's one of his new cards. This is from 2025, Topps Chrome, the skyright signatures. Nice looking card there in PSA10 condition. Over $5,000 today. $5,200 as of the most recent sale back in early May. One of those sold for under $2900. People are banking right now on Victor Web and Yama cards. All right, we've made it to the big moment of the show. The number one card on today's list. Jalen Brunson has continued to cement himself as the face of the New York Knicks franchise. He of course led New York to their first NBA Finals appearance in 27 years. And then he didn't just stop there because in game one, he was magnificent. Poured in 30 points on 12 of 21 shooting, helping new York take that surprise victory. In game one, he sparked a furious comeback from a 14 point deficit. And man, this guy is getting praise left, right and center and deservedly so. He looks tough as nails, not scared of anything and just has really led New York to heights they have not seen in a very, very long time. His cards have also been led to heights they have not seen ever before. Let's take a look here in Market Movers. I'll show you what I'm talking about. I got several of his cards up on the screen. This is his 2018 optic rated rookie card. This is the shock in PSA 10, it is now $405. But if you go back 30 days ago, that was a $175 card. That thing is up 131%. How about his prism silver in PSA 10, this thing is up 242%. This card is now almost 30, $1300. And you could have bought that card for $371 30 days ago. Talk about a 30 day return on investment. Incredible. What Jalen Brunson what his cards are doing Prism Base Same story. It's up 208% $450 as of the last sale in PSA 10 condition. That was a 146 card 30 days ago. Here's his 2025 Bowman anime card in raw condition. This card is now consistently over a thousand dollars, all the way up to over $1200. That card was below $700 30 days ago. Let's look at his 2025 tops Chrome, Glass Canvas in raw condition. This card is now over $250. That card was down around 120 to $140 30 days ago. And then finally his 2025 Topps Chrome Paradox card in raw condition. This is now a $65 card, the most affordable one on today's list. But you could have scooped that for around 30 bucks just 30 days ago. What a month it has been for Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks. All right guys, I hope you enjoyed today's show.
