Coming off the national, the sports card market has never been hotter. There are some cards that have doubled in the last week alone. We'll tell you which cards are going up the most now. All right, let's start the show by taking a look at the overall sports card market with a market pulse by market movers. I told you how hot the sports card market was. Look at this. Over the last 30 days, it is up over 7%. Since January 1st of this year, it is up over 42%. Here we're looking at the SEI 500 index of 500 of the most prominent sports cards. If you have been investing in those prominent sports cards, those iconic cards of the goats, you've done really, really, really well this year. And knock on wood, hopefully it continues. But now let's talk about the cards that are going up and down the most. It is time for today's top five cards. We're starting today's show with a cold card as we do every week, because it is a reminder that sometimes the hot cards featured on this program can quickly turn cold in the sports card market. So please invest carefully. And that is the exact case with Kylian Mbappe. Yes, Kylian Mbappe, considered one of the greatest soccer players currently playing and he had a pretty good World cup run. Mbappe led France all the way to the semifinals game where they lost to Spain in that game two. Oh, of course, Spain went on to one-of-one the World cup championship, but, you know, with, with any player when their season comes to an end, Even if they go deep in the playoffs, oftentimes when that run comes to an end, their card prices will start to fall as the hype dies down. Mbappe had a great World Cup. He scored a ton of goals. In fact, he was the tournament's leading scorer. But it doesn't matter. His card market is softening right now. Let's take a look here in Market Movers. I'll show you exactly what I'm talking about. This is Mbappe's. This is kind of considered to be Mbappe's rookie card. This is his 2016 Panini Foot stickers card in PSA 10 condition. This is. This one's down just a smidge, just down 4% over the last 30 days. Some of his cards are down a little bit more. This is Zimbape's 2017 Topps Chrome UEFA Champions League kind of his tops rookie card. This one in PSA 10 is down 15% over the last 30 days. It is now $550, but that card was as high as $685. If you go back about a month ago in raw condition, it's down 53% over the last 430 days. Here's Mbappe's 2018 Prizm World cup card. Of course, this is when he actually one-of-one the World cup with France back in 2018. And in PSA 10 condition, this card is down 22% over the last 30 days. It is now $282. That was $363 30 days ago. And then finally, this is the silver version of that 2018 Prizm World cup card in PSA 10. This is now a $1,842 card. But that card was all the way up at $3,000 just a few weeks ago. So a big time drop for this particular card. We'll see what happens in the future with Mbappe's card market. I still like his cards long term, but at the moment they are definitely soft. But now let's talk about cards going up. It is time for our investment card of the week. And this week it is. The hockey great Alexander Ovechkin, the longtime left wing for the Washington Capitals. He's been there now for I think, what, 21 years? Of course, he's one of the greatest goal scorers in NHL history. He actually owns that record. He passed one-of-one Gretzky for having the most goals all time in the NHL's history. He's also a Stanley cup champion. He led the Washington Capitals to their first Stanley cup championship back in 2018. Was the playoff MVP during that run. So certainly an all time great player worthy of investing in and we're featuring him this week and because his beautiful 2005 Upper Deck the cup rookie patch auto number to 99. There's only one of these cards that exist in PSA 10 condition. It is a pop one and it just recently sold last week for $177,000 and that is actually up 21% from the last time that it had sold and it sold about five months earlier for $146,000. So that car jumped from 146,000 up to $177,000 over a five month period. Now this card in most other grades has only sold once over the last year. The last time the PSA 9 sold was almost a year ago it sold for $67,000. The last time the PSA 8 sold that was almost a year ago as well, that sold for almost $32,000. Both of those will probably be up significantly next time they sell a BGS 85 sold a couple of months ago for $35,000 and a raw version of this card sold a couple of months ago for about $29,000. So no matter what grade, if you have Ovechkin's the Cup Rookie Patch audited in 99, you have an all time great card on your hands and it seems to be one that that's going up in the market a lot right now. But now let's turn our attention to players playing today. And in the number five spot on today's list it is Christian Arguelles, the outfield prospect for the Colorado Rockies. Arguelles has emerged as one of the fastest rising young prospects in the Rockies organization. Showcasing an exciting blend of hitting ability and run production in the Arizona complex league. This 19 year old slashed first 402 with nine home runs, 70 RBIs and a 1.149 OPS, earning a promotion to low A Fresno. So he's still got a little ways to go here before we get him into the majors, but there are already people betting that that someday will eventually happen because his cards are big time on the rise right now. Let's take a look at some of our Guayas's cards. You can see here on the graph over the last 30 days a bunch of these are going up in market movers. His prospect raw. By the way, his first Bowman Prospect autos were from 2025 Bowman Chrome. You can see one of those here. This is the base version of his Prospect auto that's only $42 today but 30 days ago was only $27, so that is up 55%. Here's the Refractor version of that. $100 today, but a month ago that was $80. Here is the Speckle Refractor. $147 today, but a month ago it was $89. Here is the Bowman Mega Box. This is actually from 2026. His mega box chrome prospect auto. Only $12 today for this kid's autograph, but it was only what, $7 a month ago. And then here is his 2026 Bowman Mega Box. Purple Mojo Refractor Otto, $36 today, $28 a month ago. You may not have heard of him, but his cards are on the rise. Keep an Yu-Gi-Oh on him because he might be in the majors sometime in the years ahead. But now let's talk about a player who's making an impact in the major leagues today. In the number four spot, it is Max Clark, the center fielder for the Detroit Tigers. Max Clark has wasted no time making an impact since his promotion to the Tigers major league team. Immediately showing why he was one of baseball's top prospects. In his major league debut, Clark went 3 for 4 with two doubles, a walk, an RBI and two runs, helping Detroit Cruz to a 13 to 1 victory in that game. With a fast start in the majors and everyday playing time, Clark has quickly become one of the hottest young names in the baseball card hobby. And I'll show you what I'm talking about here in Market Movers. You can see how his cards help have taken off here while he has been in the majors. This is Max Clark's 2023 Bowman Draft Chrome Refractor. His first Bowman in PSA 10 condition. This one's up 36% over the last 30 days. Most recently sold for $116 a few weeks ago. That was all the way down at $52. So that one is up a lot. And here is his Bowman draft paper. First Bowman in PSA 10. This is upwards of about a $50 card today. That was a $35 card one month ago. Now let's look at his autos. This is his 2023 Bowman Draft Chrome Prospect Auto Refractor number to 499 in PSA 10 condition. This one's up around a thousand dollars to eleven hundred dollars. But that was 720 dollars just 30 days ago. And then finally let's look. Oh, this is his Zebra edition non auto. His first Zebra Edition PSA 10. That is a $185 card today. And that was a $120 card just one month ago let's turn our attention to basketball for the number three card today. It is Caleb Wilson, the forward for the Chicago Bulls. Caleb Wilson wasted no time making an impression after being selected number four overall by the Chicago Bulls in this last NBA draft. He is showcasing his two way versatility that of course made him one of the top prospects entering the NBA this year. During the summer league, Wilson averaged almost 25 points per game, seven rebounds per game and three and a half assists per game and he one-of-one the summer league MVP honors after his dominant five game performance. Even had one game where he erupted for 35 points and knocked down seven three pointers. So Caleb Wilson is back and is ready to go and the Bulls are excited about what he can do for their team when they get playing later this year. Here is Caleb Wilson's 2025 Bowman Chrome Prospect Auto Refractor card from his of course his UNC days here in raw condition. This one is $325 as of the most recent sale. That is up 60%. That card was $203 if you go back 30 days ago. And here's the non Refractor version of the same card, $200 as of the most recent sale. $150 if you go back 30 days ago on that one. Here's the purple Refractor number to 250 of the same card. $403 as of the most recent sale. $180 30 days ago. And then finally here is the Zebra edition of the same card in raw condition. $52 as of the most recent sale. Non auto on this one by the way $21 30 days ago. So all of Caleb Wilson's cards they are big time on the rise. Back to baseball for the number two card today. And it is George Lombard Jr. The shortstop for the New York Yankees. George Lombard Jr. Has quickly become one of the Yankees brightest young stars after earning his long awaited promotion to the major leagues and in his MLB debut, Lombard crushed a home run for his first career career hit while making multiple standout defensive plays to help lead the Yankees to a 20 victory over the Cardinals. Before his call up, the Yankees top prospect batted.280 across Double A and Yu-Gi-Oh cementing himself as one of the game's top young shortstops. And you can see My gosh, my gosh, look at that graph and how his call up what that did to his card prices. These cards have doubled or tripled in the last week since the call up that's incredible. First of all, let's look at his 2024 Bowman Chrome Prospect Auto. His first Bowman Auto in PSA 10 condition. $785 as of the most recent sale. But even a few weeks ago, that was as little as $350. So that one's up huge. Here's the non auto version of the same card. This. This most recently sold for $192. A few weeks ago, that was as little as $57. So that thing has tripled. Here is the auto of his 2024 Bowman Paper Prospect in raw condition. This is $228. A month ago it was $90. So that's up huge. And there's. This is George Lombard's 2024 Bowman Best Best of 2024 Autographs in raw condition. This thing is $135 as of the most recent sale. That was. Gosh, that was as little as $26 just 30 days ago. George Lombard Jr. S cards are up big time. All right, we've reached a big moment in today's show. It is time for the number one card of the week. Are you ready? It is no other than the newest member of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Tarik Skubal. I know a lot of people don't like this. The Dodgers don't need more players. But you know what? When a player moves to the Dodgers, it helps their card market. So those of you who have Tarik Skubal's cards, you're probably pretty happy that he went to the Dodgers. Of course, Skubal became the biggest move at the MLB trade deadline. The Dodgers have now reinforced their roster even more with the two time reigning AL Cy Young winner. So far this season, Skubal has posted a 2.79 ERA with 116 strikeouts. So this guy is is simply, simply great. And now he's going to the Dodgers just to make them even greater. It's unfair. Yes, it's unfair. But you know what? Rejoice if you have his cards. We're going to look here in Market Movers at six of his cards. Let me expand to look at the details and show you all of this green. This column right here shows how much all of these cars are up over the last 3:30 days. You can see they are up big time. We're going to start with this 2020 Bowman Chrome First Prospect Auto Card in PSA 10 condition. This one last sold for $849. It was 630 days ago. And this is the same card in raw condition. It most recently sold for $375. It was $223 30 days ago. Now let's look at the Non Auto Mojo Reflect tractor from 2020 Bowman Bowman Mega Box in PSA 10. This was $111 as of the most recent sale but 30 days ago it was down at 79. So that one's up a lot as well. Here's his 2021 tops rookie card. Just the base tops rookie in PSA 10 condition is now an 83 card. That was a 55 card 30 days ago. And here's his 2021 Topps Chrome Rookie Auto Blue Refractor in PSA 10 condition. This just sold for $1800. It had sold for $899 30 days ago. So that thing is up huge. And then finally let's look at his 2021 Topps Stadium Club Chrome in PSA 10 condition. This just sold for $220. It was $110. The time before that it sold so it it has doubled as well. What a month for skoolballs cards. All right guys, I hope you enjoyed the show.
